:: Ganymede was just buttoning up her brown courdoroy jacket when Jaren finally left. She quickly stepped in after him and chanted, "petit Paris". The next thing she knew she had arrived. As she crawled out of the Fireplace she bumped her head on the mantle. It wasn't too hard but did require a small "ow" from Ganymede's lips. She joined the others and pulled out some dark gray sunglasses. Ganymede looked absolutley spiffing. "Ok Gang, Lets go have some fun!" She said pulling a small bag of knuts, sickels and a few galleons out of her bag. "I saved a bit for some souviners. I'll need something to keep me busy at school.. if not theres no telling what I may do." She said sarcasticly. "No, Seriously though. I think I'll buy me some new notebooks and try out some of the french wizrds sweets. Do they have any candy shops about this town?" Ganymede asked looking everywhich way for a sign of candy. ::

Facedown on the ground, Jaren had ample time to wonder why was it that every fortnight an encounter with Nadia would end with either one of them (usually both) on the ground in a heap. He got up to see that Ganymede had just arrived and Nadia was blowing her hair back from her face with her wand. He sincerely hoped that wind spells did not fall into the category of "misuse of magic" during the summer.

Dusting himself off, he waited for Zekke to arrive.

Zekke watched with relief as Jaren, then Ganymede disappeared in a puff of smoke. He followed right after, throwing the pinch of powder and dictating his destination in a matter-of-fact voice. He lost his footing - blast the stupid old fireplaces that the Petit floo system liked to use - and landed flat on his rear before he even had time to get a good look at where he was.

"Bloody floo!" He grumbled and stood up and rubbed his rear with a somewhat affronted look, pointedly ignoring the whispers and giggles and pointing of a few teenaged witches walking by.

He tossed his head, and shook off the ash particles and dust that he was surely covered in and grinned at the group.

"There are plenty of candy stores here and there's a sweet shoppe that specializes in chocolates. There's also an ice cream parlour in the same area along with several eateries."

It had been a little while since he had been in Petit and the last time he had visited, he had been on an errand so it hadn't been quite the same.

"We are allowed to use spells in here, right? You said it was a wizarding community of sorts," Nadia commented as she looked around and about, spotting the giggling girls though form some reason weren't that amused with her own particular painful falling... Then again, see a guy fall, and one as refined as Zekke, had to be twice as much a reason for giggling. Nadia wouldn't deny herself the need to chuckle at seeing Zekke sprawled on the floor like that.

Nadia grinned as she heard Zekke. "Well then, lead the way!"

Pride and dignity untouched and completely intact, he dropped a few sickles and knuts into the floo master's collection jar and headed out the station. Petit was quite a sprawling area and the scenery just went on and on. Like the wizarding community they were in earlier, this one was built in a horseshoe fashion as well, but the horseshoe was larger.

"This way," he hurried ahead with a quiet laugh, his eyes wide and bright. "I was always told to never ever use my wand outside of school unless it was an emergency, so...? I'm not quite sure what the actual rules are, to be quite honest." He gave a sheepish grin.

He stopped in front of a row of buildings and gestured. "Take your pick. Candy, chocolates, or ice cream?"

Nadia titled her head. In home the rules were different, yeah. If in a muggle area, there were plenty of magic-sensitive meassures to make sure nobody used magic (though it didn't pick the small fluctuations) for the purpose of having registered every illegal use of magic, from whichever source (ooc: Dobby's hovering charm). Plus whatever other area, even if being muggle, had no wizarding charms to detect magic. But in the wizarding communities, such as Wicked Pocus, there was no real way to differenciate between the young students and another walker-by. Yet maybe this wizarding community wasn't exactly a -hidden- wizarding community...

Hidding her wand behind her back and slowly slidding it into her pocket, Nadia followed Zekke acting innocent to the people around her. Oh dear...

Though the question wasn't directed at her, Nadia had said, "Ice cream for me!" and went on her own to ask for vanilla-strawerry one. When having to pay, however...

"Ah," she stared at her wallet. "Zekke, I will need a favor. I have both muggle and -" whispered, "wizarding money. But from Argentina. I forgot to switch coins when I came here, how silly. I need to go to the nearest Change-office. Can you pay this one for me; I promise I will pay it once I have my money in French coin?"

Zekke laughed, not at Nadia, but at the realization. "Actually, I would be delighted to collect a few... of those." He pointed to the Argentinian money with a grin. "I can exchange a few with you for now and then we can go to the bank after we get our snacks and whatnot. The bank is down the path anyway."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful of change and looked at everyone else. "Do any of you need to go to the bank, too?" It was a polite way to ask if they had the appropriate wizarding currency.

Nadia looked at the side to spot the building, did this "oh" exclamation and turned back to Zekke. "Uh, yeah, if you want..." She was going to add, 'whatever float your boat', but then razoned she wasn't sure to use the right expression. Prefered to keep quiet about it afterwards.

"I will go pass the bank anyways later," she said to Zekke's suggestion and while taking her ice cream with some delight. Ah, how she enjoyed ice creams, and especially in this hot weather. Simply delicious.

Zekke indulged himself in double dutch chocolate mixed with white chocolate and French vanilla and topped with roasted almonds and fresh strawberries.

Oh Merlin, this looked just scrumptious... absolutely... mmm...

He took a careful bite and couldn't hide the obvious pleasure of indulging in one of his favorite treats. His eyes fluttered closed and he made a soft 'Hmm' sound as he ate the first bite. If any of his housemates had been looking at him, it would be one of the very rare times when his guard and front was completely dropped, if only for an instant.

The ice cream treat seemed to ease the rest of the nervousness in his system and his posture took on a more relaxed pose.

"This is probably my favorite spot to get ice cream," he grinned after finishing his second bite.

Jaren kept his hands in his pockets as Zekke and Nadia bought and ate ice-cream, not particularly feeling much like ice-cream or anything like that. He didn't exactly have a sweet tooth, so to speak, so busied himself taking in the surroundings.

He didn't need to make a trip to the bank; he'd made it a point to get all the correct currency before he left, and there were about three different kinds of currency in his wallet at the moment, not including wizarding money.

Somewhat amused by the face Zekke was making, Nadia chuckled and gestured Ganymede to join and get something for herself. She was already finished with her icecream and refusing to let any bit of it wasted, by the look of it - her spoon scratched for anything left in a rather botheringly-noisy, insistent way.

She could have passed by a three-year-old by the way she ate, and the fast eating earned her brain-chills every other second. Dropping the plantic glass where she had been eating into the nearest dustbin, she turned to the group.

"So, where to first?" she asked. In all truness, without any preferance.

"The bank," Zekke replied sensibly, nodding in the direction of the street that led to the bank. "Although Ganymede mentioned visiting a sweets shoppe and the candy store is right next door."

He finished the last of his ice cream and waited until Ganymede had taken care of things at her end before he led the group anywhere.

"Right then," Nadia said throwing the paper tissue she was using to clean her hands in the bin as well. "We can split; I can go to the bank while Ganymede goes to the sweetshop. You two," gesturing Jaren and Zekke, "can wait for us outside or escort one each," she gave a grin and batted her eyelashes while she said this, "or you can go to a different place yourself."

Her eyes diverted to the prominent building that was undoubtly the bank and stared up at it. "OK, I'm going. 'Will be right back."

She turned and waved as she started towards it.

Jaren considered this for a moment, then nodded, though he really doubted if either girl needed an "escort". He followed Nadia, only to avoid having to sample various sweets with Ganymede (he was sure she would force him to take some along).

Seeing Jaren walk off with Nadia, it was only polite for him to wait for Ganymede, who had been so enamored with the idea of purchasing sweets.

He grinned and stepped into the sweet shoppe and found himself eyeing the various dessert treats and sweets being displayed either in the counter or on the counter or in various sized glass jars.

(ooc: Maybe we should skip this part :S Alisa is never online when Steph is and viceversa. Or make it quite quick.)

So once more, entering the place in question, she went looking for a Change Cabin or something alike. She moved to a counter of sorts, to the Globin in there to ask herself - then again, she knew no French and resorted to English in a quite desperate meassure. She hoped - needed for somebody to understand her. In a way, she could convey the idea of changing money and the plainly-annoyed Globin pointed to some direction.

Nadia turned, but to find Jaren behind her. Ever so silent, the boy, it kept startling her - this time not as violently as others, though. "Hey there," she welcomed him at the same time she turned to the goblin to thank him (as if he could understand her...) and spotting the place.

"Do you have to change money yourself?" she asked as she moved to the spot in question. Jaren was unresponsive before so Nadia didn't know that was a 'yes' or 'no' with this boy. Though weird since Jaren had been here from before.

Jaren shook his head, though seeing Nadia struggle with the goblin (who spoke no English by the look of it) decided to step in said something to the goblin in fairly rapid French. The goblin raised an eyebrow and retorted something that may very well have been "well why didn't you say that before?!" before pointing them down a more specific route.

"He says down this way," Jaren translated, turning to look at Nadia before leading her along, but not after muttering "Merci" to the goblin and nodding shortly to it.

Yeah... she had spotted it... and when will he ever respond to her questions?

Nadia followed Jaren at his motion, silently wondering why it seemed she always needed help. Mentally moaning about it more like. To tell the truth, she was almost missing the days where Jaren would have that 'she can take care of herself' attitude and look the other way. Almost. Neither case looked too appealing actually.

Sighing, Nadia followed Jaren indeed, and reached the place. This person did speak English, Merlin Gracious, and Nadia could make be finished quite quickly. About three minutes later she was ready. The money she had changed to French coin, however, was WAY more than needed for someone who was staying for only two day, that much was obvious.

If Jaren noticed anything amiss, he didn't say. He seemed preoccupied with glancing at his watch then tucking his key back under his shirt--apparently it had escaped somehow during the less-than-dignified arrival to Petit Paris by Floo Powder.

He hadn't said anything about the plan to take Muggle transportation, but still he felt that...something just might go wrong...

...or perhaps he was just being paranoid again...

Nadia tucked the money away in her purse, then turned her attention back to Jaren to motion him that she was ready to go. At the time, she spotted both his actions and his way to look around, but she also knew how little response she would get if she asked if there was something wrong so...

"Something on your mind," was her way to approach the matter. At least it was open to interpretation. And. Well, she just felt appropiate since, after all, talking to this boy was always a challenge.

Jaren shook his head automatically. No sense in sounding like he had a bunch of problems and was about to dump them on someone else to solve. Technically it wasn't a problem...unless a certain chain of events were to happen. But anyway. He'd burn that bridge when he got to it.

Nadia gave this pff-sigh, not taking her eyes of Jaren. Then turned just slightly as she moved away, seemly heading the exit, but only one step.

"If you feel like making that face, why won't you feel like sharing what's on your mind?" she said more like a comment than a question but DO expecting an answer. She smiled and started making her way outside.

Jaren solidly refused to answer, acting as if he hadn't even heard the question as he and Nadia made their way back to where Zekke and Ganymede were.

"Ah bludgers,"

Sometimes Nadia wondered if Jaren had any better understanding of human introspection or if that was another of her wrongly-made assumptions.

Then just wondered if knocking the boy over the head with a saucepan would be a good idea.

Nadia moved away and crossing the exit, finally reaching the place where they had split ways with the others. Guess it was either wait here or try finding them into the sweets shop. "Do you know what way did they go?" she asked.

:: Ganymede didn't even pause to think as she ran toward the sweet shop, pushed open the door, and grabbed a basket. "Ehgad! It's Wonderful!" She exclaimed as she looked wide-eyed about the french wizardng confectionary store. She quickly viewed the nearest items and grabbed a few of them off the shelf. "They have sugar quills that look like peacock feathers!!" She said grabbing several of those. She shuffled past a young witch of about 13 who was filling a poke full of strawberry teeth. It was a sugar shaped tooth filled with gooey strawberry creams. "Pardon me, I have to have some of these!" She said as she scooted beside the girl and filled her own poke with about a dozen. The teeth looked as if they oozed blood. "This will be a fun thing to share with the nurse!" Quickly making her way over to some chocolate wands, she looked up and didn't see her friends. "Nadia? Zekke? Jaren?" She moved about the store looking for them. Where are those dudes?? She thought as she went from each display, picking up a little of each thing. ::
