A Song For The Lonely A Song For The Lonely A dedicated RP featuring Zekke, Jaren, Nadia, and Ganymede of Slytherin House @ Hogwarts - SS style. :) Story Outline: The term ended for the 5th year students Zekke, Jaren, Nadia, Ganymede, and Kay with photographs being taken while on their way home on the Hogwarts Express and contact information being exchanged. Before everyone departed to each his or her own separate way, Zekke extended an invitation to the group to visit him at his family's estate in the French countryside over the summer in hopes to extend that sense of comaderie beyond the reaches of school. As luck would have it... his invitation got accepted. Maybe this summer would be a song for the lonely... Characters: Note: All characters must post with their character information before the RP will begin. Name: Zekke de Barticot House: Slytherin Year: 5th Name: Jaren Kymers House: Slytherin Year: 5th Name: Nadia Chantalona-Rey House: Slytherin Year: 5th Name: Ganymede House: Slytherin Year: 5th Quote:

Name: Nadia Chantalona-Rey Hogwarts Information: Slytherin 5th year - to 6th year student. Slytherin Quidditch Team Captain and Chaser. Wand: Willow, 14 inches, Unicorn Tail Hair core. Small tampering with Fireseed powder. Psychical Appearance: Average-to-tall girl of about 5'5'' with a fairly slim shape to play sports. If the pass-waist long hair does not get your attention, it's easy to spot her on her rather ridiculous golden-orange feathered hat and cloak. Wears glasses which are pinkish and looks like coming from a circus. Personality Traits Notes: Average humors, collectionist of titles, no introspective knowledge, superficially emphatic, not-shown fiery in stands, weak self-restrain, often hypocritical, coward and exposed to situations-various. The conception of this character was making it have a surprising deal of memory & observational skills, appreciative for the "present situation" as it is, yet stumbling on her feet while not knowing where she is going; with an unusual capacity to make connections within reality, yet incapable of understanding herself and other people... and I'm as incapable of describing her better for that matter :erm: . Background: Metamorphmagus sister, bird-lover mother, Gryffindorish father, pompous plus weird cousin, four family owls, one artificial Phoenix, various parrot pets and other such facts. EDIT: Alisa's sister says she won't be able to post until tomorrow afternoon. I think you two should start while we wait for her. Plus I need info before I know where Ganymede and Nadia are supposed to pop in 0.0 --> Alisa can post the info when she "pops". |
Name: Jaren Kymers Age: at the start of this RP, 15--he'll be 16 by its end. Hair: Dark brown, short and rather unruly. Eyes: Deep green, with an unnerving intensity to them which makes it seem almost as if he is capable of slicing into your soul. Physical Characteristics: 5'7", slim and wiry. The build of a swift fighter. Mildly tanned. Often wears a tarnished bronze key on a silver chain around his neck, under his shirt. Wand: 13 inch Mahogany, Chimera manehair and scale. Background: Not much known. Of Greek/Chinese descent, pureblood. Relatives: Uncle Giles Kymers and cousin Kay Wu. Both are hardly, if ever, mentioned at all. Fate of parents unknown. Personality: The most often silent observer to a situation. In the words of a fellow Slytherin, "Not the friendliest boy". Prefers to keep to himself rather than to sociallize--he'll leave you alone and expect you to do the same for him. Doesn't like to talk about himself or his background at all, hence little is known about him. When he does speak, there is usually a purpose behind it; not just idle conversation. Calm and cool, to the point of being cold and standoffish towards people. Tends to be impatient towards the incompetant. Few people earn his respect and even fewer he considers worthy of being his equal. He is driven by a constant ambition to become stronger, to better himself physically and mentally, hence is usually found engrossed in training himself to fight or reading about battle tactics. It also means that he tends to set himself against the impossible, or at least try. Highly independant and believes in relying on nobody but himself, though that appears to be changing somewhat in the fact that he isn't as opposed to teamwork as he was in years before. However, he's still not completely comfortable with it. Adaptable to virtually any situation he finds himself in, and quick on the uptake. Pet: Edgar, a raven. Currently taking care of a brown hawk named Ying, which belongs to his cousin. Edit: Steph seems to be busy, so tommorrow it seems. :-p btw, do we start when Jaren comes, or when Nadia and Gany come (and when exactly would that be)? Plus, does it really matter? |
And it starts... I've received word that Ganymede can't post until tomorrow at least, so now that I know, I'll go ahead. Timeline: Jaren has been visiting Zekke for a little while now and now they're about to go and pick up Nadia and Ganymede. The exact time for this is... errr... hmmm... we'll have to figure that out, 'cause I want to celebrate errrr... something. :shifty: Zekke de Barticot's 5th year as a student and third year as a student at Hogwarts (SS style, baby ;) ) ended with as little and as much fanfare as he had predicted possible. The Ministry had come in and done their thing and the students had done their thing and the term had ended with the announcement of the dismissal of several of the former professors at the Ball. Despite the gravity of such news and the general sense of gloom and doom in the air, there was some spark of comaderie left, at least with a few students. The ride back home on the Hogwarts Express had been Zekke's most memorable to date. He had ended up running into Jaren, Nadia, Ganymede, and Kay in the train and the bunch of them had spent the rest of the journey home in each other's company and had returned home with photographs as memoirs. The companionship had made something inside of him stir and he was forced to realize that despite his somewhat cool exterior, he had an attachment of sorts to his fellow classmates. Perhaps this was friendship? Before the train ride had come to an end, he had extended invites to them to visit him at his family's estate in France with the sincere hopes that perhaps they would take him up on that offer. Thus, he had been delighted when he found out that Jaren would be visiting, and then later on, Nadia and perhaps Ganymede, too. Jaren had been visiting for the past several weeks or so and Zekke found that the summer had flown by faster than a Snitch with the company of the other boy. Professors always liked to give homework over breaks to make sure the students didn't get lazy, but the two of them had been anything but lazy over the break. Chess, the muggle game of Risk, and random brainstorming sessions and had kept them fairly busy and their minds and reflexes sharp. At this current moment several weeks into the summer break, he and Jaren were now sitting in a coffee shop, sipping drinks and waiting for the arrival of Nadia and Ganymede... |
Jaren left his cup of coffee largely untouched and only took a sip from it once and a while for the sake of having something to do while waiting, besides scrutinizing passers-by. Thankfully his mastery of French was much better than his mastery of Spanish, so he didn't feel as out of place as when he had spent two weeks over in Argentina dealing with certain...issues. When Jaren first came to know Zekke he hadn't had the time to gauge the other boy's personality, given certain events. Either he had to leave for an emergency, or Zekke did. Generally suspicous and distrusting of anyone, Jaren had regarded Zekke as a threat for the longest time until lately, when the events of the school and perhaps fate somehow tossed them together. He'd come to respect the other boy in their fifth year. As for Nadia and Ganymede, the three of them went back as far as first year. He still refused to think of them as anything else besides fellow Housemates and, perhaps, collaborators of some sort, despite all the times he'd spent either working with them or berating them for carelessness or whatnot. In truth, if it were up to him, he would have avoided contact with anyone throughout the summer. To appeal to one of his classmates that they tolerate his presence in their private territory was not just impolite, it was also admitting that things were going less than fine at his end and he needed assistance. And he neither needed assistance, nor did he want it, thank you very much. However, this was different. With Nadia he had to sort out a few things for the next term, so that was not asking for assistance. And Zekke offered an invitation, so to turn it down would be improper. Or so he convinced himself. |
Name: Ganymede Zeusa Craft Age: 16 (june birthday) Appearance: She's a metamorphagus, But usually.. Dark purple short hair with matching purple eyes, A strong build, a little "thick", peaches and cream complexion, a baby doll face (thats what people tell Alisa and thats who Ganymede is based on) Personality: A bit spontaneous, she isn't shy thats for sure. Funny, you'll know if she hates you. Like to play pranks and throw parties. Wand: (gee.. umm) Magnolia 12 inches, unicorn hair core Nicknames: GC, Swampgirl, Gany, "Bothersome little Slytherin Brat" (I'm not sure if thats the exact phrase Borr called me) Other facts: She has a twin sister named Hebe Athena Craft, who has returned from Salems Witch Academy where she practiced advance magic. Ganymede is unsure of this new Hebe since her thoughts have returned to her side. (they hear eachother in their heads) :: Ganymede walked off the bus and waited at the station for them to come get her. Since she was around muggles, her hair layed flat and brown with brown eyes. Ok, I wonder if my mirror would work here? I want to see if they are near by. She thought as she fiddled with a pin with a silver dove on it. The mirrored eye flashed in the midday sunlight. With a false look of urgency, she shuffled off to the restrooms and quickly hid inside a stall. She leaned against the stall door and took the pin off her blue sweater. I wonder if the ministry would know that I am going to use magic outside of Hogwarts? I better not risk it. She placed the pin in her flat brown boring hair and took out a cell phone. She was from a pure blood family, yet was somewhat familiar with fellytones.. well telephones. She dialed the number Zekke gave her. She waited for her dear friend to answer. :: |
ooc: Alisa, we are supposed to meet them in this caffee by the look of it. Q: Do I need a color in here? Nadia planned to meet with Ganymede at the airport - she suppossed Gany would use the plane. Then again this was Nadia's father's choice. He just prefered Muggle transportation - for some reason he deemed it safer. Yeah, like portkeying would let you fall from the hights if something went wrong. Probably it was another kind of "safe" he was refering to, Nadia razoned. She didn't want to make Zekke and Jaren wait more, and her staying was going to be very limited by the look of it. Finally deciding they probably crossed ways and missed each other, with Ganymede, Nadia started making her way downtown. She tried to follow the intructions on the owl she received but it didn't help that the names were in a language she didn't spoke. Moreover, she couldn't ask anyone for instruction because they all spoke (duh!) French! She was left walking down the street feeling like a complete stranger, and people were already giving her funny looks. Of course, how not to, when wearing an all green outfit with different tones of it, what she deemed as "stylish". French was supposed to be the fashion land, right? Pity she didn't have a gram of good taste. Her coat felt uncomfortable with that little protuberance coming from one chest pocket. Not visible, only felt. As you might have already notice, she wasn't wearing her usual featherly hat. Some break for the freaked out muggles of France. Sighing deeply, she finally found this place, after breaking in many other places with similar inscription, which had letters which most fitted the ones in the intructions. Dear, what a day. If she didn't have English as second language she could already have been taken to some exotic place in, umh, Venece... A figure finally made its precence in a small coffee shop, where two other young students were already waiting... Trying not to seem as out of breath and relieved as she truthfully was... I mean, she could have just let herself fall over the table or break into tears while hugging the both equally space-loving boys. That wouldn't do. So instead her greating was more of a tired and yet happy, "Hey there, time no see." She let her bags fall with a loud "thud" noise, then smiled once more. She wondered, within other things, if this was the part of the Wizarding Community Zekke had spoken about. At this same time a cell rang somewhere. |
:: Ganymede gave up on the cell phone. She didn't understand why it wasn't working. She heard the ring and then she press the red button. Se hardly ever used such muggle devices. She ventured out of the stall, out of the station and into the streets. As she walked she kept her eyes open. They're so many cafe's. As she walked she noticed a familiar face in an outfit that resembled a pine tree. Quickly, She ran over to Nadia and smiled. "Nadia!!" Her hair went instantly dark purple. "Oh, Ehgad! I hope no one noticed that!" She stammered as she hugged her friend. She then looked and saw Jaren and Zekke. They were sitting at a table next to Nadia and her. "I think I'll wear a hat. So much jet lag is making me tired." She went into her purple bag (the one she used for her school things) and pulled out a green hat with a silver snake on it. With a huge smile she waited for the two young men to get up. She wanted some hugs. "C'mon! We haven't seen each other since the train about a month ago." She said pulling at Jarens upper arm, but letting go quickly understanding he probably didn't like that. :: |

Once the part of her brain who was refusing to work any faster that day made the connection between the voice and the visual-screaming dark purple hair; Nadia gave a sigh, her muscles relaxed and with this dazed yet happy smile said, "Ganymede! Hi, how are you -" Pity that the last of the question didn't sound like it was felt. She was still under the effects of that small fright she got. Quote:

ooc: Excuse the weird punctuation. This comp is acting up. Jaren noted calmly the arrival of Ganymede and Nadia, more or less on time. Thankfully nobody appeared to notice Ganymede hair change. He nodded to both of them as they approached, slightly surprised at Gany grabbing him by the arm then letting go, realizing that he did not appreciate that. He got up on his own silently with a small -Hn- noise. |
A warm smile curved Zekke's lips and he nodded in the girls' direction. "They're here," he murmured, rather unnecessarily. "Hey, guys!" The jade green eyes widened ever so slightly and he took a last sip of his tea and stood up to greet his housemates. Now that he was out of school, all the frock and finery had been dropped - for the most part - and the raven-haired boy allowed himself to be... casual. Instead of his ivory French-cuffed button-downs, he wore a black T-shirt that had the Les Miserables logo emblazoned on it. In place of his typical black slacks was a pair of black military BDUs and well... his boots were still his boots. He still wore the black calf-high laced boots as always. His hair was tied a little looser than the usual and thus more strands of hair had escaped the hair tie. "How was the trip? I'm guessing you didn't get too lost seeing as how you both made it here more or less on time." He grinned and shoved his hands into his pockets and rocked on his heels a bit in a relaxed fashion. The expression he wore was pleased and welcoming. His French accent was slightly more pronounced than usual, his native tongue coming to him more easily since he was in his "home" environment. "Have a seat?" He gestured to their table which had been chosen to seat four and pulled out the other two chairs. |
Nadia double-take the happenings around her, in two minds if to laugh out loud or other... then again "other" looked to be sounding as hyper as Ganymede so giggling did slip her lips from time to time. Now that the giggling had subsided, to a bearable level (enough to let her speak and yet without helping the smile), she greeted, "Jaren," for one, then "Zekke." Quite formal for one who seemed about to laugh her lungs out. She guessed, she was just happy, as she watched the boys stood. Nadia rubbed the back of her head in a shippish matter. "It was pure chance, that much I can tell," she responded Zekke's question. "I wasn't too sure where I was going - I think one taxi driver must still be ranting about crazy foreigns making him drive all the way to Nice and back." Here she turned to Gany, at Zekke's invitation. "Shall we," she asked though she was moving to sit on her own already. And once settled, feeling awkward for all there was to be said and yet not thinking of anything remotely coherent, she just settled with, "So how's your summer been?" to no one in particular. |
"Errrr..." Zekke ran a hand through his hair, completely freeing his hair from the confines of the hair tie. "It's been going well enough. Smoothly enough." He glanced at the other boy sitting beside him and the corner of his lip quirked ever so slightly and his eyes glinted in challenge. "Then again, it's been pretty busy, too, even though we're not in school. You wouldn't believe how long one game of Risk can take." He chuckled and shook his head. "People sure can't complain about us wasting the summer away. How has your summer been so far?" |
Nadia watched Zekke's movements with some curiosity. "Game of Risk, you say? It's a muggle game? Never heard of it. And who won?" Nadia asked on the presumption that there were winners in the first place, while re-positioning herself in her seat. Her eyes half-blankly went from one boy to the other, thinking of her own competitiveness, or remembering more like. She smiled at the wasting-summer comment and question. "Ah, it's not been that much of holidays to you then?" She thought about her own situation, about what happened but then... "Mine was good enough. I've kept myself busy." She smiled again and was soon to gesture the waitress to come their way. She was feeling like having a tea. |
cant use quotation marks on this Mac. Grrr. Dialogue temporarily in italics. Quote:
He was silent for the rest of the conversation about the summers, not having anything to say nor really wanting to contribute. |
Nadia "oh"-ed appreciatively. "Maybe you could teach me, we could play all together," she said while her eyes again seemed to leave the scene to focus on a thought. Something that seemed to occurr way too easily lately. Actually her thoughts were going back to her last victory over-reaction. And she, undoubtly, felt like re-living it. When she finally could kick herself back to the world of living - and, dear, wasn't it bothering to have intrusive thoughts so often? -, she looked around again. "Umh, so, I hope there's no problems with us staying then." Nadia was looking at Zekke, of course. She left like an intruder of sorts. But probably was only her, she thought as she jumped to a new so-say question. "I was hoping you could give us a tour around the place, Zekke," she added. "I don't think my walking here could be considered such. And... I've never been here before." She added the last bit downright unneccessarily, out of nerves. Indeed, this had her all excited. |
ooc: Just so everyone's on the right page... We're in a wizarding community right now. :) And Gany's B-day already passed! Drat! Hmmm... :shifty: Zekke nodded, inclining his head at their waitress when she held out the teapot. His teacup got refilled and he took a cautious sip. "I might have finally won, but Jaren sure gave me a run for my money," he chuckled and shook his head. He recalled the last night of that particular game with an arching of an eyebrow. Sleep was not to be had that night and he swore that if he had had that same focus while taking his OWLs, he would have O-ed all his subjects easy. ooc: BTW, when DO they get their results back? Over summer break, right? *grins* "If you're interested, I'm sure we can teach you guys to play. It's a strategy board game that's been enchanted to be animated," he nodded. Nadia's question surprised him somewhat, but then on second thought, it didn't. He shook his head slightly. "Really, Nadia, it's no bother for you guys to visit me. If you would be a bother, then I would never have invited in the first place, would I?" His green eyes were warm and his voice quiet but rich in reassurance. His eyes caught sight of one of the cafe workers putting treats in the display window at the counter and they widened. He excused himself for a moment, then returned to the table with a napkin full of pastry samples. "Have any of you ever had chocolate croissants before? They're almost as good as chocolate frogs." He placed the napkin in the middle of the table and took a piece of croissant. He chewed slowly for a moment, savoring its flavor, before answering Nadia's second question. "We can tour the town as soon as everyone's ready to. Aside from here, anything or anywhere in particular you'd like to see?" His gaze flitted between Nadia to Ganymede to Jaren. He suddenly got the image of the four of them taking the Tube to various places in his home country and had to suppress the urge to burst out laughing. The corners of his lips quirked at the amusing images. |
ooc: I should have known... if you are planning what I think you are planning... don't count on that, dear Steph. Though, who knows, maybe you will be able to succeed where I failed... I think they should already have recieved them, but if not, then -- yeah, quite soon. ("Tonight"?) "Strategy board game," Nadia repeated somewhat dumbly and with both eyebrows raised in an excited matter. If it sounded like Chess then she might not be that bad at it. Nadia nodded mutely at the response she got, already mentally kicking herself on her question. It wasn't like she was implying that, er, Zekke's family couldn't afford it or would be unwelcoming. Guess that question wasn't that much a reflection of Zekke's situation but... well, didn't matter now. Point is she was kicking herself over it. She was seemly too busy doing this because she wasn't expecting Zekke to stand all of the sudden nor spotted the, say, hungry look in his eyes. He was gone before Nadia could ask and got her silently wondering (silently for her thoughts drifted away once more) as he came back rather quickly. And what he was holding was most welcomed. She didn't want to say it out of the blue, but she was starving since getting off the plane. And since she had seen Jaren and Zekke just drinking it just indicated they had already had lunch. "Never," she replied to the crossaint question though she wasn't even trying to remember at the time being. She had already forgoten about her question while planning to take one of those croissants and not look like she had been starving for ages in the process, and that's why she had to double-take before responding. "Oh yeah," she said mid way to taking that croissant, "Apart from the Eiffel Tower, of course, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, museums like The Louvre..." She took a small bite at the croissant and almost chocked while trying not to speak with her mouth full though her exitement. Once she was swallowed yet still pale and with her eyes teary, she added, "Oh and maybe the Moulin Rouge!" And then she seemed to cough and gave a small laugh at finishing this line. She wondered if Zekke or Jaren for that matter would enter a place like that, even when it didn't have its past use. |
ooc: So my metamorphagus is ok.. if we are in a wizarding community?? :: "I would love to learn sometime." Ganymede told Zekke when he asked about the game Risk. "I would love to just walk about and look. I never seen so many shops. It reminds me of Hogsmeade a little. But its much bigger." She glanced about as she said this. She gave a small smile, Now what are we going to do? She thought. What she wished was to talk about everything that happened at Hogwarts, but this was their break from that place. No sense bringing that up. She eyed Nadia a little wondering if her "friend" was nearby. She didn't bring it up. "Well, what shall we do?" Ganymede chimed as she played with a napkin that was on the table. Nadia gave some places. "The Louvre?" She said confused. "I think I know what that is. Thats where all those muggle paintings are. I heard the place is huge." :: |
ooc: Yeap. It should be fine if Gany's hair turns color here. :) And Nadia... we'll see. Let's have their OWLs arrive maybe tonight? Because I somehow recall reading somewhere that exam results usually are received towards the end of the summer. Zekke pondered a moment, processing in his mind all the places that Nadia had mentioned. His eyes got a faraway look for a moment as his memory produced the requisite maps of the area's floo system and whatnot. There was too much to keep straight in his head at once, so he fished into his pants pocket for a tiny notebook and an even tinier pen. He took the pen and quickly sketched a rough diagram on a spare napkin of their location and the location of everything else, marking the wizarding communities nearby as well as the muggle points of attraction. "So we're here," he star-ed where they were. "The city of Paris is not too far away and it's right here." He pointed. "And I live here. The wizarding communities are here and here and here." His pen tapped the various locations. "And the places you mentioned aren't too spread apart at all, either." "We can take the floo system or use Muggle transportation to get to these places. Floo is obviously much faster, but there's a higher chance of getting lost should you say the name of the place wrong. The Metro is slower, but it gives a more proper view. I'm thinking that perhaps we could floo to Petit Paris," He looked slightly embarrassed as he said this and continued. "It's like the wizard world version of Paris, though Paris in itself seems pretty magical to me. From there, we can go and visit the City and the outskirts on foot and using Muggle transportation." He looked thoughtful for a long moment before he said again. "I don't object to sightseeing right away, but are you tired at all? Do you need to rest a bit or get something to eat or put your luggage away?" He remembered the last time he had flown to New York to see a performance at Carnegie Hall and the food had been absolutely without a doubt the most disgusting he had ever tasted. He could imagine that a plane flight from Argentina would be worse. Maybe they were starved. His eyes rested quizzically on the two girls and glanced at Jaren to see what he might have to say. |
Nadia watched Zekke taking a pen and writing down and immediately felt like saying "if there's not much trouble, that is" though she didn't get to - and also considered, for a wild second, that Zekke was going to charge the tour to them and was going to give them the numbers - aka, how much money it would cost. It had her downright dizzed, in her own weird world... And she was snapped out of it, thankfully, by Ganymede's next statement. Quote:
OK, she knew she was speaking in Spanish but then again she didn't know it by another name. Besides, French and Spanish were much alike... she was spared some more confussion when Zekke gave a written explanation of the surroundings. Just on cue, and right she should thank "Z" on his effort. She listened, passively and while chopping on the croissants, one after the other, almost in rythmical patherns. Opportunely, she had her mouth stuffed when Zekke asked them if they were hungry. A "no" in this case would be quite ridiculous. "M-mh," she tried at the same time she swallowed and shook her head. "I slept though the whole trip. And, I think I can continue to have croissants on our way - we could walk if you feel like it!" she said all too enthusiastically. If only she could have her things deliver itself to Zekke's house, then it would be perfect. There's the little dilemma - and she didn't trust her shrinking spells... ooc1: Right-o then! / ooc2: "Magical Paris" --> Aw, Zekke is one little romantic one^^ / ooc3: Chocolate croissants... *drool* Why can't I eat chocolate?! |
:: Ganymede shrugged looking at the map. "I guess lets stick to wizarding towns. I am getting hot under my hat" As she said this she pulled the slytherin hat off and shook out her long hair, whick slowly shrunk short and blonde. "Back home I just walk everywhere, or take the Wands Point Trolley.(like the knight bus)" She heard something about a 'Capilla Sixtina'.. "its just a guess, but do you mean the Sisteen Chapel?" She asked hoping it was an accurate translation. "Its that big church your talking about with the painted cieling." She added nodding. "I think I can control myself enough for a visit there. Just no one sneak up behind me and scare me. Unless you'd like to scare muggles with some white spiky hair." She said with a small chuckle. Even though she had a hard time controlling her appearance at times, she had never been caught by a muggle. She lived mostly in her wizarding town back home in the states. It was rather high in the Appalachian mountains and well hidden. Just a bunch of hard working purebloods with grateful attitudes. She was so happy to be gone from that boring place. :: |
ooc: The Weasleys can floo to Diagon Alley from their fireplace at home, right? So I don't see why Zekke and Co. can't floo from his home to the wizarding town to home again fairly easily. I'm guessing that maybe it works via radius or something... *ponders* Zekke chuckled at the sight of a famished Nadia. "You know... I don't know why I didn't think of this before. Let's stop by my home first. We can take the floo directly to my house from here. Then you two can drop off your stuff and then we can floo to Petit from and go to the City. What do you think?" As he waited for an answer, he ordered a bagful of chocolate croissants to go. "We can certainly visit the Louvre... Da Vinci's paintings are absolutely astonishing up close. The Mona Lisa is there as well as Madonna of the Rocks and several others. I think some of Botticelli's work is there as well along with the works of many other Renaissance artists." He nodded, his voice filled with enthusiasm. "The Sistine Chapel artwork on the other hand, a work of Michelangelo, is in the Vatican, which is in Rome, Italy. If everyone has a wizarding travel passport, we can visit there, too." The Renaissance period absolutely enthralled the green eyed boy and it showed in his voice and ramblings. "People say that the muggle Renaissance artists were mystical and believed in magic you know. Artists like Da Vinci, Raphael, and Michelangelo. And scientists like Galileo and Sir Issac Newton. Apparently, they found magic through mathematics." He paused then stopped and grinned, a little embarrassed with himself again. He normally didn't talk so much, especially about things muggle, but this was an exception. Besides, his comrades seemed to be somewhat interested in the subject matter, too. |
:: Ganymede nodded in agreement to the floo idea. She picked her purple bag up. "I haven't floo'd for about 2 years. This will be fun." she said smiling. She couldn't wait to see Zekke house. The homes in her town were all very alike in appearance. All brown cabiny things with only 12 rooms to the house. Alot of space, but nothing to do. :: |
