{:The.Plot:}

A peace has settled for fifty years. Fifty years of calm and solace, of freedom from the darkness. The Light reings safely. No one fears the Dark, because thanks to Harry Potter, the darkness fell. His life sacrifice has lasted for fifty years. Because of said sacrifice, a darkness can't form for fifty years after his death.

It's going to end.

The students don't know it. Few realize it. Not many even expect it. The good has gone on so long, all have become accustomed, taken granted of it. Life is perfect and safe, how could it possibly be that a danger such that once reigned could be possible?

This is the life of the sixth year students. All they worry about right now is their upcoming N.E.W.T.S. in the next year, graduation, what they're doing with their life. Their lives importance is their best friends, their happiness, their love.

And it's all going to come crashing down on them.

{:The.Setting:}

Hogwarts, obviously. It's the beginning of the term, the evening of September 1, after the Opening Feast. Few students know of the Dark uprising forming. Most can't even fathom what a life was like in which one had anything to fear. Where Muggle Borns and Purebloods couldn't get along. How stupid!

And yet, slowly, things are happening. Those shifty Slytherins are up to something. Muttering darkly. Casting looks at the Muggle Borns, making snide, enigmatic comments. Slowly, a few students start to notice the subtle change and realize. The Darkness is trying to rise.

This is set fifty years after Harry defeated Voldemort, so there will be no cannon characters. All characters will be sixth years. The only remaining cannon character is History of Magic Professor Binns.

The Headmistress is named Professor Natiya (Nat-ee-ya) VaamWront.

Gryffindor Head: Herbology Professor Catherine Hollis
Slytherin Head: Defense Against Dark Arts Professor Lliam Knowling
Ravenclaw Head: Transfiguration Professor Xavier Calling
Hufflepuff Head: Charms Professor Melanie Basalph (buh-saw-ff)

{:The.Rules:}

1. First and foremost, follow the Knockturn Alley RP Rules. If you refuse to, I will have you kicked out of the RP.
2. No Mary-Sues. They are not enjoyable characters. What is a Mary-Sue? A perfect character; flawless. Not every girl is wanted, not every guy is devastatingly hot. Give them flaws, it's less annoying and it makes them more likable.
3. No supercharacters. Therefore, no powers. Sorry. But most people can't handle them and they wouldn't be too important here anyway. You're not invincible, you're not going to avoid every attack. But, likewise, don't control another's character. Leave it up to them whether or not something you do affects them.
4. Literacy is a must. if u typ3 lyk dis, then you can't join. You don't have to type novels, but try to keep it a few sentances at least. Describe things, don't just state stuff. And please, try to write as if this is a school paper. Astericks somewhat annoy me =)
5. If you join, stay. RPs suck if not everyone follows through.
6. When joining, post a profile. I will decide from your profile whether or not you're approve ^__^
7. To play one a child of the Dark Uprising, PM me. Your character must be a Pureblood and preferrably Slytherin. These are the only ones who at first know of the Dark Uprising as their parents are part of the group that is trying to bring it back.

Crystal contemplated Salinea with a look of bitterness. She knew that the girl was right, but that didn’t stop Crystal from having a major fit of poutiness. How she hated to be talked down to! Tossing her hair over one shoulder, Crystal gave an almost imperceptible nod and turned away from the rest of the group, moving back towards the dorms. She had better things to do anyway than listen to Blessimore and Salinea bicker.

Shooting Blessimore a cold glare as he spoke to them as though children, she opened her mouth but quickly shut it before speaking. It was better to think before acting. It made revenge all the sweeter.

Alex looked at Nolan and smiled "Well not real- yeah pretty much", he said with a grin and looked at the girl. "Alexander Warhud" he greeted her with a nod and smiled. "So, what'cha doing?" he asked, suddenly very talkative. It was nice to talk with a boy instead of a girl who was only drewling 'cause of his good looks.

"Weak comment Blassimore. Weak." Lucrecia rolled her eyes at the boy and snorted. "Is there anything else you can come back with besides the fact you have more money than me? It's simply stating the obvious. I'm content with the amount of money my family has. At least come up with something new to poke fun at." Blassimore was an annoying little boy but she put up with him for the sake of the cause.

Vince, getting bored of sitting on the chair for many minutes, quietly headed straight back to the common room. He looked at everyone else including first years to seventh. He had been scared since that next year was his last and final year in the school. When he arrived at the common room, he saw a few people, but he didn't greet them. He was getting lazy today as he was sitting on a chair, doing nothing. He frowned and scratched his head.

Blassimore smirked. "Well I just didn't think that it was appropriate to bring up you mud-blood heritage" He threw a look toward the girl, teasingly. He knew it wasn't true, but the others didn't. It defenantly would bring some gasps throughout the crowd.

As Frankie let out a wail of pain, Mozzie gave a scream and grappled tighter at the boy. "Does it hurt, does it hurt?" she asked, voice frantic with panic. What if he fainted? What if Jamie-Lee messed up the spell?

And then, so suddenly, his mood changed and he was casual and nonchalant. Mozzie groaned, sinking into a chair, not bothering to listen to him. Merlin, this was too weird.

"Now go make me a cup'a'tea" he ordred and almost threw her at the floor. He only did it as a joke and he hoped that Lucrecia knew, becasue that psyko could snap him like a twig.

Alexander turned to the girl he had just introduced himself to. He put his feet onto the table and stretched his arms. He was fairly tired, but he could stay awake for some time.

Fantasy smiled at the boy in front of her. He sure is a piece of cake and full of frosting! How she would put, totally adorable and so snogable. She nodded like an anime character and she replied smoothly.

"My name is Fantasy Rae. Pleasure to meet you Nolan." She brought a hand out from under her kitten and straightened it out to have a proper hand shake. To be quaint and friendly. She wasn't about to just go and hug the boy, they just met! She knew some one who would do that. Oh Eternal, you might tempt me to be a flirt like you, she thought in her head.

"My brother is Teleno, he's somewhere around here." She glanced around the common room, looking as if to try to find him.

Lucrecia started to laugh as she nearly fell to the floor after Blassimore's so called orders to her. Yes the king and the slave. That's the relationship those two had. She knew of his playing around so she rolled her eyes and mockingly curtsied to him. "Why of course your majesty. I'd be honored to make you tea." She picked up the tea she was just drinking and gave it to him. "It's your favorite blend. Essence of Lucrecia."

Teleno shook his head. There goes Fantasy. In her own world where she wanted to meet a whole lot of boys. He was walking down the stairs to the common room when he stopped himself, looked at who was in there, and started walking back. He smirked. Maybe he could make that prefect not fancy her. Now that was a plan of a brother. He laughed and walked back up the stairs, getting ready to devise a plan.

Jamie-Lee rolled her eyes as Frankie complained, joking or not he hadnt experienced anything yet. She got out a book of healing and dropped it on top of his leg, "That'll fix it. Not dropping the book on it, the spell inside the book. Sorry if I hurt you," She said innocently, sipping her tea. She liked to be a tease, a dangerous tease.

"Essence of Lucrecia!?" - Blassimore Gasped. "Only my owl drinks that, and that is only because I wish it dead". He took a step back and gasped, again, in a very dramatically way. "Are you trying to poison me, slave?". He quickly hid behind Selinea and pointed at the slave. "May you, and you mud-blood family, for ever be haunted by baslisk and grey-eyed bwittercrocks", that was the best curse he could come up with this instant. "What have you to say for yourself", Blassimore ended in a very school-play kind of way

"Frankie you are such a wimp," She picked up the book and pretended to let go of it again to frighten the poor hufflepuff boy. "Lets seeeeee," she traced her finger down the pages and smiled in glee when she found the appropriate charm. She muttered the words, flicked her wand this way and that and TADA! all was fixed.

"Sooooo Mozzie, where is Nolan? Very unlike you to be without him," she enquired for no particular reason... yeh right Jamie-Lee who are you trying to kid!

Vince again was bored. What had he to do? He left the common room quietly as he heard screaming. He heard more screaming as Vince ran where the voice was coming from. The boy was getting scared somehow as he knew screaming was something bad. Looking everywhere, he finally found the person screaming. "Are you ok?" he asked him.

Salinea rolled her eyes and scowled at Blassimore and Lucrecia, hissing as Blassimore chose to hide behind her. She shrugged at him, trying to shake him away.

"You guys are utterly childish," she muttered darkly, turning away. "One and a half hours. I'll see you all here. Say nothing until the Common Room is cleared. I'm off to see if I can find Alex anywhere."

She cast a glance over them, debating about seeing if anyone would come and decided against asking. It'd be best done on her own anyway. She skulked away, tossing her hair over her shoulders as she exited the Common Room.

Maybe Jamie-Lee was actually one of those people who took pleasure from others' pain. She was beginning to seem more and more like it, despite how sweet and kind she seemed. She had a certain... slant of light going on.

She watched carefully as Jamie-Lee rehealed the boy's leg, gaping. Strange. She herself would probably have managed to make his leg disappear had she even tried to mend it.

Her eyes now trailed over to Jamie-Lee, judging her curiosity. "Nolan? Well, he's back in the Common Room. Rather sleepy, you know. I'm sure you'll see him around tomorrow though..."

Pointing to a male's retreating back going up the stairs, Nolan turned to Fantasy. "Is that Teleno?" he asked. "You two brother and sister, I'm assuming?"

He turned to Alex and nodded between the two. "Alex, Fantasy. Fantasy, Alex." He introduced them simply, before falling quiet again.

Chloe notice two students talking a boy and a girl. Deciding she might as well go over there and introduce herself and try to make friends for once. Getting up from where she sat, she walked over to them. As she came closer she notice that the boy had to piercing on his lip. "Umm hi." she said quietly as she walked closer to them.

Saphie walked to the gryfindor common room and then noticed no one was there yet. She hugged her knees and sighed it was so dull now that everyone was still down or exploring the halls. She knew what she was going to do. She made her hair wavy again and began to walk down the tower and went to the hall. She smiled as she looked for people who needed help or wanted to talk.

She went back and forth talking to people. She sighed she was getting tired she headed back to the gryffindor common room and sat down on the coach. She saw people and smiled. "Hello." she said tiredly. She wanted to make new friends, this year had to be the best one ever and she wouldn help as much as she could.

"Hmm, maybe," she said sipping her tea and thinking thoughts which no one should dare enter without the risk of being decapitated by Jamie-Lee herself. It had always been her fear to come across a legilimens. The thought of someone intruding on her privacy sickened her. "Drink some tea," she said, urging the two. Frankie did not look happy. She would make it up to him later when they headed back to the Common Room.

OoC: Maylin-Janet, the Gryff Common Room isn't empty. You've got two other Gryffies in there talking, why not have Saphie go over and join them?

Again Nolan gave a nod of hello, this time to another girl "H'lo," he said, giving a small one fingered wave. All this introducing was beginning to make him wonder how suck a job of a Prefect he'd been doing; no one seemed to know his name or recognize him. Wow.

Mozzie sat at unease for the moment, eyeing the tea. Would it actually be safe? If she poisoned them here and they died, would their bodies ever be found? Or would they lay in this hiddden little room forever. Bodies rotting and lying together for eternity.

Ack!

Still, she took a careful sip of the tea, her lips hesitating momentarily before finally caving and taking a full drink. Not so bad.

"So. How did you even find this place?" she wondered out loud.
