Find the Words

Ron scratched out the sentence again and screwed the parchment into a ball. He threw it across the common room and grinned momentarily as it landed in the wastepaper basket. Once he'd decided to put his feelings for Hermione onto paper, it was just a matter of getting his feelings to make sense on the page. He was no good at this love letter writing stuff.

He'd managed 4 words when Hermione and Ginny entered the common room. Hermione snuck over behind him to surprise him when she saw the 4 words:

Hermione, I love you.

Because you're worth it

"Stop it" Hermione said, swatting Ron's hand away. She was trying to study for their Charms N.E.W.T and Ron kept bothering her.

A few seconds later she saw his hand in the corner of her vision. She swatted at it again. The third time he did this she grabbed his hand and sat on it.

"I said stop it. I'm trying to study" she said, exasperated.

"But it's so shiny, I just want to touch it" Ron said, pleading.

Hermione shook her head and swore never to use Sleekeazy's Hair Potion again.

Starry Starry Night

“To the Astronomy tower right?” Asked Ron with a tone of excitement.

“Yes, to the Astronomy tower. Professor Sinistra said there was going to be a wonderful display of stars.” She gave him a nudge and smiled.

Ron could feel a shiver travel up his spine as she touched him.

After a few moments a top the tower, Hermione fell back against the wall disappointed. “I just don’t understand, she said there would be stars.”

Ron leaned up against the wall next to her and faced her, “Hermione the stars in your eyes are all the light show I need.”

Hand N Hand

It was all new to both of them. The mere idea of being Hogwarts newest couple was frightening. Walking down the long corridors Hermione and Ron smiled at one another.

“What’s everyone staring at?” asked Hermione.

Looking around Ron shrugged his shoulders. “Don’t know. You look fine.”

Hermione blushed slightly as he complimented her.

The whispers were unnerving to Hermione and she wished it would all stop. Not paying attention she was about to walk into a statue.

Noticing before she collided with the bust, Ron grabbed her hand and saved her.

With linked hands, they continued down the hall.

More Than Words

“Have you bought her a gift?” asked Harry

“No I haven’t and I don’t want to think about that.” Ron was slightly annoyed.

“Alright but you better not be hasty about it. The wrong gift could be catastrophic.”

Arriving at the owlery, Ron smiled when he saw Hermione at their usual meeting spot.

“Happy Birthday Hermione.” He said to her as he hugged her and handed her a piece of parchment.

Hermione took the parchment and opened it. She began to cry when she read what he had written.

“Thank You Ron. Its perfect.” she said as she embraced him.

Pirate Ships of the Carribbean : Dead Man's Boat.

"Are you sure this is a good idea Ron?" Hermione asked nervously, watching Ron struggle to row the boat. It had been his idea to take a boat ride, and Hermione was now seriously doubting his rowing ability.

"I'm fine, just out of practise " Ron replied. Moments later he caused the boat to tip and Hermione to fall overboard.

Hermione looked grumpy when he helped her back onboard and she cast a drying spell on herself. Ron thought he'd cheer her up by kissing her, but as he leaned in she smiled, grabbed his arm and sent him overboard.

A Lovely Gift

Ron was sitting in the Common Room, away from the normal crowd of Gryffindors. In fact, unless you looked hard enough, you wouldn’t be able to see him behind his armchair. But he was there… and he was waiting for something to happen.

Then, Hermione walked into the Common Room, looking disheveled from her long day. She dropped her books on the table and plopped herself down on an armchair by the fire. She was just about to relax when something caught her eye. Smiling, she picked up the single red rose from the table, knowing who the sender was.

A Shooting Star

Ron was lying on the grounds, looking up at the beautiful starry sky. Curfew was nearing, but he just wanted to relax tonight. He was quite happy that he could enjoy the scene and not have to do Astronomy work or have Professor Sinistra down his back.

Just then, he saw a shooting star fly across the sky. As if he were a kid, he closed his eyes up tight and made a wish. I wish Hermione were here with me, he thought. And, as if by magic, he heard a voice behind him.

“Did you make a wish, Ronald?”

Quite a Change

After examining herself in the mirror once more, Hermione was finally ready to go downstairs and meet Ron for her date in Hogsmeade. Ginny was in the dormitory with her, and they were discussing how Hermione was trying too hard.

“Hermione, is that perfume you’re wearing?” Ginny asked in a shocked voice, for Hermione never wore perfume.

Getting quite annoyed with Ginny and her questions, Hermione scoffed and left the dormitory without a reply. She shakily headed down the stairs to meet Ron, and smiled as she spotted him.

“Hey Hermione,” he greeted with a hug. “I like your perfume.”

A Yummy Treat

“Ron, aren’t you supposed to give those chocolates to Hermione for Valentine’s Day?” Harry asked one day in the Common Room. His best mate was sitting in an armchair, stuffing his mouth with chocolates.

“I know, but I got hungry,” he mumbled, putting another one into his mouth.

“Hermione’s going to be disappointed,” Harry pointed out.

As if on cue, Hermione walked into the Common Room and stared at Ron and Harry for a moment. Ron looked dumbfounded up at Hermione and then down at his chocolates.

“Chocolate?” he offered Hermione, hoping she wouldn’t slap him.

However, Hermione just giggled.

You’re in my… hair?

As Hermione strolled into her dormitory, she saw a scroll of parchment on her bed. It was rolled up tightly with a pretty red ribbon. Smiling, she went to retrieve it and unrolled her letter.

Hermione,

I just wanted to tell you how much I love you.

Ron

After reading Ron’s note, Hermione’s cheeks turned a light pink and she suddenly felt giddy. She giggled to no one in particular and placed the rolled up scroll by her bedside. Then, she tied her hair up into a ponytail, using the ribbon to hold it.

“Oh Ronald, I love you too.”

Feeling Safe

Hermione was with the DA in the Room of Requirement. They needed to work on their defense if they wanted to fight against the Ministry. And to Hermione, this was the best idea yet. However, loud footsteps and silent mumbling were lingering outside the door, causing the DA to remain silent.

Suddenly, the lights were extinguished inside the room, causing a few of the girls to shriek in fright or shock. Hermione felt scared to be in the darkness, knowing that someone was outside. But then, she felt a warm hand in hers; Ron’s hand. And she suddenly felt safe.

Thinking Of You

Ron ran his hands through his ginger hair, hardly noticing the rain pouring down upon him. He'd tried practicing but it hadn't worked. Ron couldn't think of anyone but Hermione and their fight. She always had to be so motherly but Ron couldn't help loving her. Flying a bit higher he saw a figure running out into the rain - she had bushy brown hair he could spot even from here.

Ron flew down to Hermione and embraced her. They didn’t need any words to tell how they felt – they simply knew.

Broken Hearted

Hermione ran into the Common Room with tears streaking down her cheeks. She didn’t want to talk to anybody, for she was too upset. Racing up the Girls’ Dormitory steps, she pushed open her door and plopped onto her bed, sobbing straight into her pillow. She couldn’t believe that Ronald Weasley! How could he go off and snog Lavendar Brown like that? It was disgusting! And didn’t he care about Hermione? Didn’t he care about her feelings? Well, apparently not now! All Hermione knew, was that she could never look at him the same, for she was too broken hearted.

A Beautiful Day

Hermione sat on the edge of the lake, dangling her feet in the water. She loved the feel of the cool water on her bare skin. Hermione gazed up at the sky - it was a beautiful day. She personally wished every day would be as lovely as this and it made her think of one person. Suddenly she felt a warm, familiar hand grasp hers in an affectionate manner. Without even looking she said "Hey Ron." and leaned over to kiss him on the lips.

A Perfect Night

Ron decorated the Room of Requirement all day, and he was quite exhausted, but proud of his work. He had rose petals sprinkled on the floor. A warm fire was crackling in the grate. Lovely white candles were lit around the room. The scene was beautiful.

Then, the door opened and a girl- no, a woman walked into the room with gorgeous brown eyes and slightly bushy hair. Smiling, he walked up to her and was quite proud to see her shocked face. He took her hands in his and gave her a soft kiss.

“Happy Valentine’s Day, my love.”

Hermione sat on the couch in the flat she shared with Ron, reading a book on Advanced Defence against the Dark Arts. Ron had said he wanted to show Hermione something, so she was waiting for him to emerge from the bathroom.

She heard a bang and Ron curse.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"Nothing, i'll be right out" Ron said. Moments later he opened the door and stepped into the living room wearing fire-engine red pyjamas.

"OWWWW my eyes" Hermione said, laughing.

"What?" said Ron, looking hurt.

"Those pyjamas... your hair... it's just wrong" she said, giggling.

By the River

Hermione had just finished bathing in the river and was returning to the makeshift tent that she, Harry and Ron were sleeping in that night, when she halted upon hearing her name.
"Of course she bloody well doesn't know, Harry! I wouldn't be so nervous if she did," Ron moaned.
"You know she'll say yes! There's no way she won't marry you, after all you've been through together.
A small gasp escaped Hermione's lips before she realised she'd made her presence known.
"Hermione!" Ron cried in surprise, turning scarlet.
"Oh, Ron ... Yes!" she cried, running into his waiting arms.

Brown-Eyed Girl

Ron opened his eyes to a beautiful face containing beautiful brown eyes. Smiling, he sat up on the couch and rubbed the sleep away from him. He examined his surroundings, and noticed that he was in the Hospital Wing.

“How did I get here?” he asked confusedly, for he didn’t remember getting hurt.

“You were hit with a bludger in the Quidditch game,” Hermione replied, resting her hand on top of his. “How do you feel?”

Ron looked down on their hands, and then up at her eyes again. He loved her eyes, he could get lost in them. “Perfect.”

A Hogsmeade Date

It was a beautiful Saturday morning, and the street of Hogsemade was ready to be scavenged by students. Hermione and Ron walked into the village early that day so that they could avoid the crowds. There was a chilly breeze, and the sunlight reflected off of Ron’s bright red hair. The day seemed perfect for the happy couple.

Smiling, Ron took Hermione’s hand and led her into the Three Broomsticks. They sat down and Ron paid for two butterbeers, being the gentleman that he was. Throughout their conversation, they concluded that this was the perfect way to enjoy a date.

Memory Lane

As the sky slowly turned from blue, to purples, pinks, oranges, and finally to a deep, dark navy, Hermione sat in her favourite armchair by the living room window awaiting her husband’s arrival home from work. Her well-loved copy of Hogwarts, A History sat in her lap, along with a box of photos and other school memorabilia.
She had just finished reading her first love letter from Ron when the clock in the kitchen struck six. A POP! two seconds later announced his arrival.
He laughed and sat beside her, bending down to place a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Ships of the Carribbean : The Curse of Peer Pressure

Well, he'd finally done it. Ron had plucked up the courage to ask Hermione out. Now that they were officially a couple, they made their way back to the Gryffindor Common Room. Ron was certain that the minute they stepped inside everyone would know what had happened and proceed to hassle them both incessantly. So sure was he that he even voiced his concerns to Hermione, who gave his hand a slight squeeze and whispered "Don't worry Ron, I'll beat anyone up who hassles you" with a wink as the portrait hole opened to a full room.

Christmas Carols

Christmas at The Burrow was always busy and loud, this Christmas being no exception. Hermione and Ron were currently in charge of hanging the stockings over the fireplace. It just so happened they were alone, as everyone had been assigned a job by Mrs Weasley in order to keep the kitchen safe from wandering hands.
Ron and Hermione worked in peace, sneaking glances at each other when they thought the other wasn’t looking. Out of the blue, Ron began to loudly sing along with a Christmas carol playing on the wireless, which had Hermione in fits of laughter within seconds.

Showers and Smirks

A familiar scent wafted past Ron’s nose. Smiling to himself, he rose from the table in the kitchen and allowed the smell to lead him to its source.
Through the door, along the hall, up the stairs … halting outside the entrance to Ron’s personal and private heaven; Hermione’s bedroom.
He knocked gently, pushing the door open to reveal his freshly-showered girlfriend. Her long brunette curls hung in shining ringlets down her back, leaving a slightly damp patch on her fluffy dressing gown.
He walked over and wrapped his arms around her from behind.
Smirking, he asked, “Is that lavender?”

Book

Don't Judge a book by it's... you know the rest.

Ron wasn't well known for his particularly thoughtful gifts, he usually left it to the last minute and bought the first thing he saw. But this time he was going to be prepared. He started looking for a present for Hermione's and his one year anniversary weeks before the date (although he'd had to check the exact date with Hermione). He also found out that the traditional muggle first anniversary present was paper, so his plan was to get Hermione a book. But it had to be the perfect book. He set off for Flourish and Blotts, determined.
