#1:

It was the night that they had come to Grimmauld Place at last when Moody found himself wandering around the large place, unable to sleep. He walked up and down the halls, with wondering if everyone really was sleeping, and if they were sleeping, what they were dreaming of. "What would I dream of?" he thought, suddenly. "Ah well..." Then he noticed one door which was only slightly opened. So, Moody opened the door a little further to peer into the room, however it was to dark to tell if anyone was in there and he had no intentions of turning on the light. Instead he walked in, careful as to not hit or trip over anything. He then noticed a small ray of light come in through the small window in the room. The light helped him see nothing but a strange object which he couldn't see what it was. He walked closer to it as quietly as he could until he suddenly hit a hard surface. "Ow!! What the--" he whispered in anger. Calming himself down, he looked again at the strange object, unable to make out what it was. Then he took out his wand, and pointed it at the strange, looking object, and whispered, "Accio object!" and it suddenly flew to hands. The object felt soft, and cuddly, like a teddy bear, and with that, Moody gave it the biggest hug ever.

“Where is that darn grey thing?!” Moody yelled out in anger. His head was bent down towards the floor, in search of a grey rat, causing much grief, mainly to Mrs. Weasley. Moody entered each and every room of the place, but was incapable of finding it. Wand in hand, he knew the exact spell to get rid of it; when he would ever find it was a complete mystery to him.
"I swear, if I don't find that rat..."
"You could always use our special mouse trap!" Fred offered, laughing. In response, Moody glared at him, and then cursed under his breath. Then suddenly, he saw something rush behind the only torn up chair. It went behind it one side, but never came the other side. He waited impatiently, and anyone who spoke, he made them silent. He, of course, needed much concentration in order to get the rat.
“You’d think he’d calm down a bit...it’s just a dumb rat. “
“Shush!” Then, he quickly saw movement of a grey blob and, pointing his wand, he quickly yelled “Avada Kedavra!”

Moody sat on chair, in a dark and quiet room, deep in sleep. It appeared that nothing could wake him up, not even the loudest scream. However, even the loudest scream could wake him up, as well the yelling of Ron, and Ginny.
“Moody!!! Moody!!!” they yelled as they entered into the room. “Moody, wake up!!”
“Yes, I’m already awake...What now?” Moody said, grumpily. The light was suddenly turned on, and Moody quickly blocked it out of his face by raising his arm right before his forehead. Right before him was Ron, Harry, and Ginny.
“Well, you see, I’m not sure which reason is more true but, either the broom isn’t stopping properly or…Ginny just doesn’t know how to fly anymore.” Ron said smiling. Ginny glared at him.
“I’m pretty sure that it’s not stopping properly.” Ginny said.
Moody grabbed the broomstick from Ginny’s and looked at it for a moment. Then, he took out his wand and aimed it at the broomstick. The three of them looked afraid of what he would do. Moody waved his wand and gave it back to Ginny.
“Proper use of the Braking Charm may do you well. Good bye.” Moody said.

As Moody was visiting the Weasleys’ house, for the summer, he decided to teach some more dueling tactics to Ron, Ginny, and Harry and Hermione, who’d also been visiting to pass the time and to get himself “into shape” as he called it. The main spell he wanted to teach to them, in which he hoped they had absolutely no knowledge, was in his opinion the best spell to use in a duel.
“Come outside with me. I have something more to teach you about dueling, seeing as you have some experience with dueling, is that correct?” he said. The four of them nodded, each with a confused look on their face. “Now, let’s have Hermione go first. Get your wand ready, please.” They faced each other their wands pointed at each other. As Hermione opened her mouth to say something in order to perform a spell, Moody’s wand shot out a small burst of light. Hermione fell over; unaware of what had happened to her. The same pattern occurred to the other three. Moody finally explained what happened to them.
“That’s the Blasting Curse. Very, very, effective in duels, leaves the opponent unaware of what happened.” he said, smiling.

As Moody got ready to assist the four teens still attending Hogwarts to the train station, he looked frantically for a “darn muggle key” in which Mrs. Weasley had asked him to find. They’d all been in such a rush that they had no time to think about spells or any other kind of magic to lock each and every door in the house. Moody was in the worst mood of all, especially since Mrs. Weasley had been putting all the pressure on him to find the key. Moody’s mind went in circles, not remembering what a key even looked like. Or maybe not even knowing what a key looked like. “Key, key, key…where’s the key?” he repeated, over and over again, not thinking clearly of what he was doing or what he was saying or thinking. Then, suddenly, he thought of the easiest thing to do. Everybody was out of the house except for Moody, who had already found the magical version of a key. “Colloportus!!” he yelled at each and every one of the doors, locking them completely. He found that each were all locked, and came to the last one, and then, once again, yelled “Colloportus!”

Moody stood right before his enemy, knowing he would have to face one of the three Unforgivable Curses. Which one they would use, well, he, of course, did not know. His opponent shot out several curses and jinxes right towards him, but each time Moody had been lucky enough to dodge them or defend him with the defense spell or some kind of spell, which for sure would protect him.
“Go on; hit me with an unforgivable curse. Go on!” Moody said to himself, just waiting for his opponent to pull a fast one on him. “Aw, come on, what kind of idiot would pass up an offer to curse a great auror like me?”
He stood there, crouching a little, waiting spell after spell, curse after curser, jinx after jinx. Still, his opponent had not use one of the illegal curses yet like all the others had done.
“Aw, come on. If you’re going to do it then I will. Crucio!” Moody yelled. Suddenly, sparks flew out from his wand, inflicting pain upon his enemy who fell to the floor, wriggling and screaming in pain.
“That’s what you get for not taking the chance to use that on me.”

Moody stared down upon his opponent, almost laughing which was quite rare. He hadn't the slightest idea of what to do next to his enemy except stare him down, belittle him. Moody continued watched as he wriggled in pain, almost crying.
"How does it feel to be in so much pain, the same pain you have caused others to go through?" he said, finally letting out a small laugh. "Hopefully, you won't live to tell all your little friends what Mr. Mad-Eye Moody did to a little baby! By the way, the baby is you!!" Moody continued, laughing even harder. His laugh attracted many people's confused looks, causing everyone to stop fighting.
"Oh, go back to fighting. Mind your own business, I don't nosing around your fights, now do I?" he snapped at them, turning back to his opponent. "Just to make sure you don't tell anyone...Confundus!" He yelled the spell, his wand aimed at the enemy who struck with so much confusion that he seemed as though he would forever have a confused look upon his face.
Moody smiled one last time, before turning to his next opponent, leaving his former to continue being very much confused.

"I wonder how these things work..." Moody said, looking at some of the sharp, pointy objects on the kitchen counter. He had been looking for something to eat but as there was nothing premade, he was forced to make his own food. He walked towards the fridge, concluding that it was something used to cut food. Opening the fridge, he found tons of vegetables to use. "Perhaps I can make my own soup. That sounds good. Somewhat." Moody took all of the vegetables out, tomatoes, spinach, cabbage, lettuce, carrots, beats, and so much more. After placing them on the counter, he chose which ones he wanted in his soup and put the rest back, looking at them in disgust. "Never did like beats...never." He then took the sharp pointy things but unforunately that only resulted in him missing the vegetable each time he threw the sharp end down. At last, he finally cut himself, making him grow even more upset over everything. "That's it!!! DIFFINDO!" * Suddenly, all the vegetables were being cut up into slices and smaller minutes, in such a short time that he wondered why he had wasted time on the ridiculously painful sharp, pointy things.
