3. Transfiguration
“This is not my day!” Minerva thought frantically as she ran to Transfiguration. Her hair streamed behind her as she tore through the halls. The halls were barren which convinced her that she was REALLY late. Finally she arrived at Room 180. As she walked in Dumbledore looked up.
“What makes you so early to day?” he asked smiling.
“What?” McGonagall asked. “Oh no! I forgot my homework Accio Homework!”
A few doors slammed and Minerva reached out to grab the flying bit of parchment.
“Um, Miss McGonagall? It’s only 6:30.”
And she sat down and read until Transfiguration started.

19. Wand
Minerva had always liked her wand. It was unusually long and thin but it did her well. It was redwood, eighteen inches, and had a phoenix feather. She remembered when she first received her wand. It was in Olivandars. He scared her but Ollivander knew what to do. She also remembered that her aunt had called her wand worthless when they got home. The second she got to school Minerva proved her aunt wrong though. She excelled and became the top in her class in every subject. Dumbledore even offered to give her private lessons so she could excel further.

37. Animagus
Dumbledore soon proposed that Minerva should study to be an animagus.
“It will be a lot of hard work but I’m sure that you’ll succeed eventually.”
After a few lessons it was clear that she could become one. Every night she would just fall asleep instantly. The part that she soon found the hardest was the tail (because most humans don’t have one) and she would only become half a cat on nights she was feeling particularly tired.
Finally she succeeded in transforming completely into a tabby cat with strange markings around its eyes. She now just needed to register.

1. Herbology
“Now class,” Professor Nert explained during Herbology, “The carnivorous pitcher plant muggles call S. Flava has a really highly destructive solution so as long as you’re in Greenhouse 4 don’t go poking stuff inside S. Flava- That includes you too Richard Weasley!”
Richard Weasley froze as he was trying to dissolve Minerva’s tie without her noticing.
“Today you will be working to extract beans that have soaked up magical properties from within a Coderfur.”
The coderfur turned out to be a scary flower with spikes that jabbed if you tried to get the seeds.
“This is one weird Herbology class.”

75. Yodel
“Richard Wesley can you please stop singing!” Minerva shouted over the horrible sound.
He stopped and sat down next to her, “It’s not singing it’s yodeling. I would have thought that you of all people-”
“Be quiet!”
“Well you are the top in the grade!”
Minerva blushed. “Stop yodeling.”
“I’m not right now.”
“You know what I mean,” Minerva said briskly. She stood up forgetting that she had books on her lap. Richard knelt to help pick them up. Minerva and Richard reached for the same quill but Richard missed and grabbed Minerva’s hand. She jerked her hand away blushing.

7. Divination
Minerva of course was paired with Richard AGAIN for divination and they were reading tea leaves.
Weasley looked in Minerva’s teacup and smiled. “yours says that… you will be kissed after class.”
“Give me that,” Minerva said blushing. She turned the cup and turned it toward her. A guitar, a moon, and a crab. She looked it up in the text book and looked confused.
“Well what does it say?” Richard asked.
“you look.”
“um… love, a romance in the horizon.” He said.
“Divination is just a lot of guesswork nothing ever comes true.”
“Yes it could,” said Richard hopefully.

14. Hogwarts, A History
Minerva was standing in the library browsing carefully through the charms section. Richard came from behind her and quickly sneaked his arm around her waist. (It was a good thing that he was at an angle where he couldn’t see her face because she rolled her eyes and frowned).
“Hey” he said softly.
“What do you want,” Minerva said unflatered.
Richard seemed offended at her blunt tone but did not show it. “You,” he said his face advancing toward hers.
She had had enough. She wacked him with the book she was holding (which happened to be Hogwarts, A History.)

13. Quidditch
Minerva spotted the snitch right next to Riddle’s ear as he sneezed loudly nearly falling off his broom. She laid flat against her broom and sped to him but the snitch was gone. Riddle had also noticed the snitch but now it had disappeared. If the Griffindores played a harsh game of Quidditch the Slytherin’s played it nothing short of cruel. Suddenly Minerva spotted the snitch as she grabbed it to declare victory for the Griffindores a bludger came out of no where and smashed her in the abdomen. She fell off the broom into the field and lay there unconscious.

57. Gape
When Minerva woke up there were ten people standing around her bed gaping.
“What?” she asked knowing that if it was something horrible she would like to get it over with. No one had to answerer though because as soon as she sat up she tasted blood. “What happened to me?”
“After you landed someone sent a curse at you… Madam Hagar is still trying to find the counter curse,” the keeper said her voice breaking some couldn’t take their eyes off the giant gash on McGonagall’s cheek.
Madam Hager came out of her office smiling.
“Reversoter y coheta garosh”

50. Boggart
Defense Against the Dark Arts was always fairly easy for Minerva. All it took was will and perseverance… well and some brains of course. There was one thing, though, that Minerva was scared to death of… a boggart. This was because her one and only fear…ok fine the thing she feared most was getting into trouble. While other students had acceptable fears of spiders, yetties, snakes ect. Her fear felt rather foolish. So she braced her self for the cupboard door to open while all of the class was watching her. Instead of a teacher though her fear was… Richard.

99. Newspaper
Minerva was having a particularly good day until the Daily Prophet came. The head line said;
“VICTORIA AND WILLIAM McGonagall KILLED IN DEPT. of MYSTERIES”.
Minerva stared at the paper in shock and proceeded to read;
“The two were found dead in the hall of prophecies and the killer will have a trial today to decide his sentence. Minerva McGonagall, a second year will attend the trial accompanied by Albus Dumbledore.”
‘They never asked me,’ she thought.
Minerva looked at the staff tale. They all seemed very solemn. Dumbledore motioned for her to come. She stiffly walked up to him.

32. Common room
A group of girls had dragged Minerva into their circle of gossip.
“Richard really likes you,” said the giggliest of the bunch.
“And you are the only one he likes.” Said another girl giggling uncontrollably.
“Look,” Minerva said, “I really need to get homework done.” And with that she descended the stairs into the common room she sat down to read her ancient runes.
“Minerva,” Richard called from across the room, “I kneed a hand with my potions.”
As she sat down in an arm chair he sat RIGHT next to her.
“Why did I come to the common room?”

69. Slap
“Because you wanted to see me?” Richard asked.
Minerva sighed as Richard put his arm around her. She knew that she SHOULD give him a chance but she didn’t like him.
“You didn’t need help,” Minerva stated scowling at his completed essay.
“Oh but I did need help. Until you came…”
Minerva stared at him confused. What he said made no sense to her. Richard took the stare the wrong way though and leaned in toward her. As his face was advancing he put his other arm around her and SLAP!!! Minerva stormed out, probably to the library. Richard sighed.

16. Dragonhide gloves
Minerva knew that her aunt (did not) mean the best but honestly, who gave “thread bear” dragon hide gloves. Didn’t that kind of defeat the purpose of protective gloves? They were worn out so much that she could see her hands through the thin areas. It was a wonder that it didn’t rip. She detested having her aunt as her legal guardian as much as a sharp jab in the eye with a wand. Her aunt had the same thoughts so that made holidays a lot of fun. Her thoughts turned backed to the gloves as a flower stung her.

41. Thestrals
During care of magical creatures they were learning about thestrals. Professor Marten had brought one from the forest to show the class.
“you can only see them if you have seen someone die, don’t worry they are very well trained. I have seen to that,” professor marten said as a horse-like creature nudged her back.
Minerva looked into the eyes of it and it came toward her. She stroked its mane and it trotted pack to Marten. That was odd She thought. She walked back to the school her mind churning with thoughts. The memory still fresh in her mind.

84. Angry
After that incident Minerva was in a very bad mood and she realized that she was late for her lesson with Dumbledore. And she ran to his office fuming.
“Are you okay?” Dumbledore asked.
The sight of Dumbledore standing at his desk, Fwaks at his shoulder seemed to calm Minerva down. So as she sat she took out her wand.
“Yes,” she said almost smiling.
“Professor,” a handsome boy with brown hair walked in, “Nott’s spell seems to have backfired.”
As Minerva walked out she heard a portrait singing, “Do you hear the people sing, singing songs of angry men.”

86. Daring
Minerva woke up in a rebellious mood. Normally she felt strict and down to business but she knew today was not going to be an ordinary day. She was going to something daring (and that did not mean kissing Richard). Today was going to be different. This different appeared sooner than thought for when she walked into the great hall she realized just how handsome that Tom Riddle could be. She pointed this out to Julia who asked what she ate last night.
“lets just say I’m in a… daring mood,” replied she as she walked to talk to tom.

55. Egg on
Julia caught up with her as she walked toward Tom. “if you like him that much kiss him.”
“you think I’m going to kiss him? I only just noticed him! You really do believe at love at first sight.” Minerva scoffed.
“Well,” Julia stated matter of factly, “I dought that any boy in the school would reject a kiss from you. I mean they all think you’re beautiful!”
“shut it.”
“Well go on then, talk to him,” Julia prodded wanting to see what her friend would do.
“I’m not going to need anyone to egg me on today,” Minerva smiled.

35. Pureblood
Riddle watched as Minerva walked toward her. All of his friends thought that she was pretty but his only thought on her was that she was a pureblood… and her eyes were nice… sort of. She was kind of pretty… well as pretty as a pureblood could be.
Minerva was coming closer and when she reached the place where tom was standing she asked if he had finished his divination. He looked confused like he didn’t realize what was going on but walked away leaving Minerva’s daring feeling gone, making her feel foolish and wondering if this was a joke.

73. Warn
Richard was running down the hall toward Minerva. He “needed” help in potions again. “Can we go in here” he asked catching his breath. He pointed to an empty classroom which made Minerva suspect something that he probably wasen’t telling her.
“fine but make it quick, I need to get to the library,” Minerva said sternly
“I can’t promise that it will be quick but you’ll have time to get to the library,” Richard said as innocently as he could.
“fine,” Minerva said frowning, “I’m warning you though, if you dare put one hand on me-”
It was too late.

61. Kiss
Before Minerva had a chance to get away Richard had both his arms wrapped around her waist, but she found that she did not mind. She remembered a lyric from muggle studies, a musical called Kiss Me Kate “… May it do him ease…”
At first she tentatively touched her lips to his but soon she had also folded her arms around him and weather this was simply a few seconds or a year she did not know all that she cared about right now was this wonderful moment in time. It was as if all time had stopped…. “AHEM”

7. Care of Magical Creatures
Minerva walked down to care of magical creatures absorbed in her book. She wasen’t watching where she was going and she walked right into Professor Marten.
“I swear, Miss McGonagall someday, if you don’t stop reading those books they will swallow you whole.”
“Sorry, professor”
When care of magical creatures started…
“ DID YOU SEE THAT!? IT BIT ME!” Julie shouted as a Chizpurfle scuttled away.
“Julie calm down,” Minerva tried but Julia was screaming in pain.
“I it found in a cauldron so you should go to Madam Hager’s office,” said Professor Marten.
The rest decided to stay away.
