5. Misguided Ghosts - Paramore
Age: 18

‘Think about it’ Ellie’s words rang in Max’s head, how could he not think about it? He had a chance to make the world a safer place, sure it was dangerous but Elliot was gone. He had Maddie around and that was nice but how long would that last? Summer was nearly over.

Maddie would be better off without him. Maybe he was misguided but he felt like this was right, if he could just ask someone, but he had to vanish, like a ghost, A misguided ghost. The pain of it he couldn’t tell anyone. He was going undercover.

13. Weapon of Choice - BRMC

Age: 18

It had been a long day. The training had been almost non-stop. Ellie was tough. The older blonde reminded him of Kensi, whom he supposed was his last trainer. But Ellie was more of a handler. This was hand-to-hand combat and the sparring was intense.

The Blonde was tough and her orders were in Russian, just Russian. Max had to learn, Fluently. “What’s wrong with your footwork? You’re unarmed, use the right stance.” Max growled. “I don’t plan on being unarmed.” Ellie smirked and raised an eyebrow. “What’s your weapon of choice?” Max liked her and her smirk. “A bow.”

3. Gods and Monsters - Lana Del Rey

Age: 18

This was it, this was real. Braxton was gone but they couldn’t both remain, not while the Russians suspected one spy instead of two. There was a terrible feeling in Maxwell’s gut. He felt that he did the wrong thing. But maybe the wrong thing for a good reason was right?

In a world of gods and monsters it seemed that only monsters made a difference, he knew he would have to become monstrous because gods didn’t seem to exist. He just hoped that it would be worth it in the end. But innocent lives were worth his own soul.

17. Suit and Tie - Justin Timberlake

Age: 20

This day had been a long time coming. Six years to be exact. Why was he nervous? Of all the things he’d faced in his life, this wasn’t the scariest, and it wasn’t like he hadn’t done it before. Maybe that was why. Last time Maxwell Lupin did, this it didn’t end well.

But there were happy things come out of it: his son, Hudson. This time would be better. Elliot Morganzo would be Elliot Lupin. This time he was in a suit and tie. An odd look. But this day was about Elliot. Weddings were always about the bride.

22. Dog Days are Over - Florence + the Machine

Age: 12

Max looked out the window of the train, seeing his mother and both sisters. Joy in all their eyes, not a bump or a bruise on them.. And his father, his real father. Who had kind eyes and a warm smile.. He wasn’t Maxwell Evans, he was Maxwell Lupin.

“Come on, Maxy.” His mother said most affectionately. He was ready to go. No more Robert, no more of that house, that cage. His dog days were over. His father knelt down. “Hello, Max-my name-” But he was interrupted with a hug neither of them would ever forget. “Hi, Dad.”

Age: 27ish

This moment was months in the making. The second Maxwell found out his heart melted, but he didn’t think it could melt as much as it had just now. But, looking down at his daughter in his hands--his first little girl--nothing would ever happen to her. It couldn’t.

“Hey, Pup..welcome to the world.” He said and rocked her back and forth. He had known true love most of his life with Elliot, but this was different, perfect. True Love. Joan Mitchell Lupin, at this moment, was his world. She looked so much like her mother, and his.

24. Agoraphobia - Autoheart

Age: 19

It had been two weeks of Max being a single Father. Hudson’s blue eyes looking up into his own, the boy cried and cried, it seemed to never stop. If Hudson wasn’t already such a crier Maxwell might have thought this was due to losing his mother. Maybe that’s what this was.. maybe for once Max knew he wouldn’t be good enough.

Looking at Hudson, he couldn’t help but cry too, Max fed and changed him, he wouldn’t sleep...Max didn’t know what to do. He was crippled by panic and fear. He missed his wife and missed his mother.

7. Always - Panic! At the Disco

Age: 14

It was Christmas Eve. Max’s father was kind enough to let his girlfriend, Minnie stay with them and Max might have shown off a little as Gryffindors often do. He maybe serenaded her with a song. Just his guitar and his voice. The little cottage filling up with the acoustics

She seemed happy, Smiling. Would they always be this way? She wasn’t only his girlfriend but his best friend. The person he could always turn to. So of course in his mind he couldn’t see this changing, because why would it? The fourteen-year-old knew this would be this way always.

23. Carry On - Fun

Age: 21

It had been a month since the loss of Max’s wife, Ellie. The twenty-year-old watched his son sleep. Hudson hadn’t been sleeping much if at all, and when he did he often woke crying and screaming, for his mother most likely. Max feared that nightmares would always plague his son as they had for him after the loss of his mother.

Max knew they would get through this. He would do anything for his son. The boy would be strong like his mother. They would carry on. They had to, for themselves and each other. But how to carry on?

4. One More Night - Maroon 5

Age: 18

Max knew that this was it. Elliot was leaving for Moscow and he was headed to New York. Uni seemed to be pulling them apart. But they both knew it was going to end the moment she said she was going to Moscow.

Maybe they should have realized they were headed down two different paths. All Max knew was that they had this, they had tonight and they would make it a night to remember. One more night to be together. “I love you, Elliot. Don’t forget.” The 18-year-old muttered.

“I couldn’t, Max.” She replied. Tomorrow would be there soon.

12. Us Against the World - Coldplay

Age: 29

Max shot up as he heard a noise, jumping a little and posed to attack whatever made said noise. He was in his bed at home and everything seemed normal.

That’s when he heard a footstep, a very tiny footstep. Then a little blonde head popped out from behind the curtains. Mitch ran across the room and jumped into her father’s arms. “Daddy! Daddy let’s make breakfast!” She said and woke her Mum, who grumbled. “Come on, Pup! It’s us against the world!” He said and put her on his shoulders, time for pancakes! He loved this pup the most.
