“oh Hagrid, who did this to you?”
“Just some boys…” Hagrid went red. He was always like this when talking to girls.
“Slytherin.” She guessed, more stating it then asking the question, but he answered anyway.
“Yeah.” he winced as she undid the knot of rope around his back.
“Sorry…” She muttered. Hagrid shook his head, then felt his arms and legs relax, and the rope that he’d been tied in a minute ago was now hanging loosely around him. He pulled the last of it off.
“Thank you Rose.” Hagrid mumbled, looking at his hands.
“your Welcome.” Rose smiled.

“Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!” Were the words beating in Hagrid’s ears. His nose was bloody and he had barely a spot of energy left in him. He brought his arm up, trying to punch the boy who’d started this, but he just couldn’t.
“Weak Rubeus! You’re weak like your Father! Weak!” Hagrid got angrier and angrier, and as much as he wanted to kill the little Slytherin boy, he just…couldn’t.
“I’m…more…stronger…” He panted.
“What was that?” The boy laughed and kicked him in the ribs. Hagrid howled in agony.
“Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!”

Hagrid walked through Hogsmeade, smiling at all the kids who spent their free time here. He popped into a busy sweet shop and bought some lemon drops for Dumbledore, then some coloured sweets for himself. He noticed Harry in the corner of the shop laughing with Ron. Where’s Hermione? He thought, and caught Harry’s eye.
“Hagrid!” he called. Hagrid nodded and beckoned him over. “How are you?”
“I’m fine thanks. Am just ‘ere doing a spot of shoppin’. And yerself?”
“Same.” Ron said. “We’re meetin’ Hermione soon.”
“Don’t wanna keep ‘er waitin’ them, see ya soon.” He waved them off.

Hagrid looked out of his hut and spotted the Whomping Willow. Ah, he must be lonely. He thought, and decided to go pay the tree a visit. He stood a safe distance away and started to talk, more to himself really, but he was there, talking, and the Whomping willow was there, moving slightly in the wind.
“…and when I was a kid, people gave me a hard time….” He mumbled. The Whomping willow stopped moving, and seemed to look at him. “Yeah…They did.” He said, nodding nervously. One of the branches moved towards him, and Hagrid knew he understood.

“…and I have Arithmacy in for tomorrow, a DADA essay in for Tuesday, and another two foot long essay about the Goblin war! I have no idea how I’m going to cope!” Ron moaned. Hagrid laughed, “Yee guys get so much more Home Work them I ever did.”
“Seriously?” Harry asked in wonder.
“Seriously. Well, I ‘ardly did the bit I got so…” he chuckled. Harry and Ron joined in. Hermione didn’t.
“Hagrid! Your setting a bad example! We have our NEWTS this year, so we better all start shaping up or-“
“WE HAVE OUR NEWTS THIS YEAR?” Ron fainted.

Hagrid wondered around his hut, not really doing anything. He had sip of his tea, sat down, patted Fang’s head, and then…boredom. He thought about Harry and he who must not be named, and wondered how he who must not be named had gotton so powerful.
“HE ISN’T EVEN A STUPID PURE BLOOD!” Hagrid shouted, tears spilling out of his eyes. He didn’t want to see Harry get hurt. He couldn’t. he wouldn’t let that happen. Not to a pure blood like Harry. why I am being so bloodist? Hermione’s a muggle born and she’s the smartest women I know!

Hagrid walked through a very bust Diagon Alley. What was it with witches and mooching? Every time he’d walked through here, there’d be witches at windows, mooching here and there…It just baffled Hagrid. He bumped into Hermione, who was indeed not mooching.
“Heya Hermione, nothing here take your fancy?”
“No. I’m not a fan of shopping, actually. I prefer to study. See you around Hagrid.”
Hagrid laughed as she walked away, as ironically as it was, in her hands was Hogwarts; A history and hiding in her open bag was some perfume from that new shop.
Girls like Mooching. Period

Hagrid looked at his dinner plate and grimaced. Why oh why had he let himself make this horrid monstrosity? The greeny browny substance was oozing all around the plate, like it was alive. Being Hagrid, he picked up his spoon and tried a bit.

Bad idea.

He jumped out of his seat and sat it out on the floor. He wiped his mouth.
“Merlin’s underpants!” he panted. It was then that Fang ran up to the plate and hungrily ate everything off it. Hagrid grimaced again as he looked at Fang’s mouth, oozing with a green and brown gooey substance.

Hagrid got off his motor bike and looked down at the little boy in his arms. Harry Potter. He was looking at the most famous Wizard ever to be. And he was sleeping. Hagrid chuckled as he walked towards Dumbledore and the….cat? He shook his head and carried on walking.
“Dumbledore.” He nodded, handing over Potter. Then the cat changed in a human. McGonagall??

WHAT?!

“Hagrid.” She nodded.
“McGonagall, you’re a...”
“I am an Animagus, thank you for noticing.”
“Oh I’m so sorry, it’s just I didn’t know…”
“I understand. Do not worry. Now, what to do with the boy….”

“ugly little Kneazle…” Ron muttered, clutching at his finger.
“S’up Ron?” Hagrid asked, wiping his hands on an already dirty cloth.
“That Hermione’s stupid cat bit me! Bit me!”
“oh…Whats it’s name again?”
“Like I care!” Ron whimpered, “It bit me! And It was about the eat scabbers!”
“Calm down boy, it’s just a little cut.”
“yeah, but Hermione’s gloating about it to everyone. She’ll say I’m a baby, She’ll say-“
“That you taunted my cat.” Hermione finished, walking into the hut. “I am offended about what you called my cat.”
“Well let me say it again, UGLY LITTLE KNEAZLE!”

“How could you two? I thought you were better than this? You know you could’ve gotten yourself expelled? EXPELLED?” Hagrid boomed.
“Yes, we know Hagrid. Snape’s already given us the lecture.” Ron scowled.
“Well…yeah…good. I can’t believe you flew the Ford Anglia to school! It’s illegal! Not to mention the amount of muggles who might have seen it! And it hit front page news! FRONT PAGE!”
“We know Hagrid…” Harry sighed. “It was stupid and reckless. We’re sorry.”
“Well then. Good. I’m just glad you two aren’t expelled. It was a close one… What would I have done then ey?”

Hagrid stood there gaping. He didn’t move, he stood still, his mouth a round O. he continued to stare, it obviously hadn’t noticed him yet. He was seeing a unicorn. An actual unicorn. In the forbidden forest. The unicorn whipped his head up and looked directly at Hagrid. His gaping mouth must have gotten wider. They both started at each other for a while, neither moving, nor going. Hagrid took the time to marvel it’s beauty. It was an impossible white colour, sort of silvery, but pure white, at the same time. It was beautiful. Even as it ran away.

Hagrid peered through the telescope, expecting to see something amazing. The sky was very clear tonight.

Nothing.

He moved it around and adjusted the settings, but still…

Nothing.

Hagrid sighed and was about to leave when his eye caught sight of something. A star. Hagrid looked up at it with his own eyes. It looked awfully bright. He walked back to his telescope and looked through it at the start. Wow. It was beautiful. There weren’t words to describe how wonderful it was. It was like…nothing he’d seen before.

He smiled to himself and took one last look, before leaving.

Hagrid took out his Quill and began to write his essay on werewolves. He really didn’t see the point, they weren’t that interesting. Really. His hand started to ache on the 3rd paragraph, so he set it down and rubbed some oil on his hands. He went to fetch his hand crème when his hand slipped on the desk and he toppled out of his chair. He cursed. He got back up and wiped his hands, who need oil that helps anyway? And began to write with his Quill again. Owweee…Stupid Quill! He threw it on the floor and sighed.

“Albus! Albus! What on earth are you doing!” Hugh screeched-whispered, “If we’re seen, we’re good as dead! I’ve told you time and time again what happens to wizards who meddle with time…”
“Then why are we?”
“Because…” Hugh stuttered and cursed, “This way!”
“but what are we doing? You never really told me.”
“You have to convince Hagrid that it wasn’t me who let the Skrewts out.”
“but you wont have done that….until tomorrow!”
“Exactly. You have to say that Scorpious was looking suspicious around the Skrewts…”
“Fine.” Albus grinned, he loved meddling with time, it was just so convenient!

“Oi Rubeus! Rubeus the half giant! You’re a Freak Hagrid! A freak!” Hagrid turned into his dorm, thankful that Slytherins couldn’t get in it. “A FREAK!” He slammed the door and almost ran to his bed. He lay on it still for a while.
“Hagrid, are those Slytherins annoying you again?” A friendly voice asked. Hagrid ignored him, he didn’t feel like talking. “I’ll have a word with them perhaps…” Hagrid carried on ignoring. “I mean, It’s not your fault you’re a freak…”
“I AM NOT A FREAK!” Hagrid cried, jumping off his bed. Now he didn’t feel like ignoring.

“Hagrid. I was obvious from the start that what your were hiding-“
“It aint harmful! He wouldn’t hur’ a fly-“
“I’m sorry Hagrid, but some things just can’t be tolerated. Goodbye.”
“RIDDLE! You’ll be sorry you ever lied to me, to everyone! I bet it was you…”
“Excuse me?” Riddle stopped and turned around slowly.
“I was just...I thought…that…well…you said…” Hagrid stuttered.
“False accusations Hagrid, can lead to false punishments. So be careful Hagrid, you don’t know what your stepping into.”

“Now, move your wands as followed and repeat after me. Wendardium Leviosar.”
“Wengardium Levisosar…” There were a few gasps as feathers were lifted into the air. Hagrid grumbled the spell.

His feather moved up in the air and Hagrid smiled unbelievingly to himself. He’d done it! He looked around the class and saw them looking at him with a look of horror. What the-?

“HAGRID! YOUR FEATHER!” Someone screamed. Hagrid looked up smug, but then gasped. Fire!? He jumped back and the professor x-tinguished it.
“That’s something I’ve never seen in all my 60 years…” He muttered, shaking his head.

Hagrid loped towards the castle feeling very happy today, for no real reason. He wasn’t really going anywhere in particular, just taking long easy strides around the castle. As he was walking he saw Harry and Ron laughing in the midst of all the new first years scattering around. he shouted across to them both, "Used to be you they did!" he laughed as they did and carried on loping around the castle. His loping brought him to Dumbledore’s office. He knocked quietly and smiled when Dumbledore invited him in with a big smile. He could always count on Dumbledore.

Hagrid squealed loudly, “I’m scared Dad.” He said.
“I kno’ son, the thunder scares us all.” He said soothingly, then sighed, “Twas only the other day you weren’t able to speak, ey?”
“ Nah…I could always speak I figure.” Hagrid chuckled but then squealed again as the thunder got louder. His father tried to quell his fears but humming a lullaby he knew well.
“Night little one, sleep tight now wont ya?” He said softly. Hagrid’s eyes were wide and had no intention of going to sleep. His dad sighed then laughed, “I’m gonna miss you.” He whispered too quietly.

“MERRY CHRISTMAS HAGRID!” Harry, Ron and Hermione shouted outside Hagrid’s front door.
“Merry Christmas ma dears, now get in, you’re gonna catch a cold guys.” He said, making room for them all. “Cuppa tea anyone?” He asked and then got a steaming pot of tea out. “Now. I know we said no presents, but I couldn’t resist!” Hagrid laughed. When his back was towards the 3, they all looked at each other, eyebrows raised.
“Erm, Hagrid, you really…didn’t have to.” Harry said.
“Nah. Here you go guys!” Hagrid gave them a box each. They opened them hesitantly.

Plaid scarf’s. Perfect.

“Fine.” Hagrid lined the gum perfectly and….threw.
“HAGRID! DOUBLE DETENTION! HOW DARE YOU! IN MY CLASS!”
“It wasn’t me!” He said, blushing deep red.
“Don’t you DARE make false accusations!”

“Hahahahahah, sorry mate.” Lucious snickered.

Iva looked behind her and scowled. “What do you want?” She asked Riddle.
“Oh just…Nothing.” He winked at her.
“Shut up Tom.”
“I didn’t say anything.”
“Go away, I don’t want to talk to people like you. Have you heard the rumours? Apparently yesterday you assaulted Hagrid. Did you?”
“Me? No…Him and I are great friends. Aint we?” He shouted to Hagrid, noticing him walking past.
“huh?” Hagrid asked.
“Just telling Iva here how close we are.”
“Um…sure.” And he carried on, blushing deep red.
“See Iva, I’d never hurt him.”
“Oh you’re such an act Tom, Such an act.”

Hagrid walked out of his little hut and breathed in the warm summer air. He heaved his bag full of meat with him and headed for the forest, he was going to feed Aragog. “Aragog!” He called, shaking his bag around. It was Aragog’s birthday today, and Hagrid loved seeing him smile, he didn’t really do it much recently…
“Yes.” He came out, smiling slightly, “What’ve you brought to cheer me up old bean?”
“Just some cheery meat old man.”
“Old man?”
“Cheerful old man.”
“I see, you cheerful old bean.” And then he tucked in grinning, Hagrid’s smile widening.

Hagrid doodled on his piece of parchment, drawing pictures of men and ladies, bigger than tress, than houses, than mountains… He sighed to himself, and scribbled the pictures out. Just it time it seemed.
“Hagrid…” the professor walked up to him, smiling falsely, “Care to show me what you’re drawing? I hope you’ve been listening-“ She started, and glanced at the now scribbled out drawings. “Hmmm…” She walked away slowly, “Pay attention Hagrid, OWLS soon.” She smirked. Hagrid sighed, louder this time. Could time passing be any slower?
“I’m so bored…” He muttered, and started to doodle – to fantasise – again.
