Hagrid fumbled in his pockets. He was sure he’d put Fang’s biscuit in here before he left! Fang whined.
“Alrigh’ fang!” Hagrid muttered
“Is anything a matter?” Dumbledore’s kind voice asked. Hagrid went pink,
“Can’ find fang’s Biscuit!’”
“Oh that’s alright! Please, choose from mine!” Dumbledore said and from his wand, produced 2 tubs, “open up!” Hagrid opened one up, and funnily enough, in there, was a big pack of dog biscuits.
“Fang!” Hagrid shouted as his dog came bouncing up. He shoved some biscuits in fangs mouth and moved onto the next tub. Inside were lemon sherbets. Hagrid grinned

Hagrid stepped into the crowd, unnoticed, which was usually hard to do, seeing as he was half giant! Looking over the heads of everyone else in the crowd, he saw what they were gawping at. Veela. As soon as he saw them, his heart melted. The effect they had on him! If only they could see him… notice him…
“’Agrid? Eez zat you?” A familiar voice called. Hagrid broke from his daze, into the eyes of Olympia Maxime.
“Olympia!” Hagrid gasped and strode away from the beautiful Veela and transfixed young lads, to the one who really melted his heart.

Hagrid picked up his books off the floor. Some Slytherins had thought it funny to take his bag off him and throw all his books into a dirty looking puddle. Tears rolled down his cheeks, as he stuffed the soggy books into his bag and headed off for next lesson.
“You are late again Hagrid!” the Transfiguration’s voice screeched as he walked to his seat.
“’orry” he muttered and got out his books.
“MISS! HAGRID’S BIG HEAD IS IN THE WAY!” A girl behind Hagrid shouted. Everyone laughed. Hagrid looked down at his desk, his face burning red.

“Katherine! Come here, I don’t want you to get lost!” Kate shouted. Jeeez….why couldn’t her children behave for once!?!
“MUM!” Katherine shouted. Kate became alarmed at her daughters cry.
“Katherine! What is wrong?”
“MUM! LOOK! It’s a giant!” She screeched, and her mum almost cried herself, as a giant man walked past, obviously trying not to be seen, by the dark moleskin coat he was wearing, but not succeeding.
“Come on Katherine!” Kate whispered urgently, she tugged her daughter away from the strange man. “Some people,” She muttered, “can be so strange! It’s like they’ve come from a different world…”

Hagrid opened the newspaper.
HARRY POTTER, THE CHOSEN ONE? Hagrid sighed. Couldn’t the boy get some peace for once? Hagrid sat down on his chair which creaked uneasily. He sat there, a tear rolling down his cheek, when there was a gentle knock at the door.
“Hagrid! It’s me!” Hagrid popped out his seat and opened the door.
“Where are ye?” He asked feeling around.
“OW!” Harry gasped as Hagrid’s hands knocked him off balance.
“‘Arry! It’s good to see yer!” Hagrid pulled him in, and forgot about the newspaper, because he knew the real Harry. The real Harry Potter

“Aragog?” Hagrid whispered into the Forbidden Forest.
“Hagrid…” A cold and old voice came. Hagrid let out a sigh of relief.
“Though’ it was one of yee friends now didn’ I?” He chuckled.
“It’s not safe out this late!” Aragog scolded.
“Bu’ I felt lonely in me hut…”
“Hagrid” Aragog sighed, “This is no place for the likes of you. I’m old and will not be here much longer. I’m the reason my siblings don’t feast on you now. Soon, they will have free choice.” Hagrid bowed his head and walked back to his hut, his eyes full of tears.

“Your wand Rubeus!” The professor sighed.
“Ah…yer…me wand…” Hagrid got out his wand and waved it around.
“No! Hagrid! STOP! Bow, ten steps then duel!”
“Ah…yer right professor…’orry.” He bowed and took 10 steps.
“STUPEFY!” his opponent cried.
“What the-“Hagrid felt a slight bump on his stomach.
“This is so unfair! Rubeus is so fat, no spells work on him!”
“Language Riddle…but yes Hagrid, go to the headmaster. I cannot teach you DADA if you are half giant!”
“Oh…alright ‘en…” Hagrid sighed and got off the platform. He walked out of the room, with all the laughing faces behind him.

Albus walked towards the hut. He knocked on the door timidly.
“Come on in!” A voice came. He opened the door, and walked in.
“Who - ? NO! You’re Harry Potter’s son aint cha? ALBUS POTTER! Come in come in!” Albus sat down and grinned. “So? How’s everyone?”
“Their all good…James is always teasing me though….”
“About what now?”
“Thestrals.”
“Ah! Nothing to be scared of…timid creatures! We’ll be learning about ‘em next week!”
“But I’m a first year.”
“Well in 3 years time next week then!” Hagrid Grinned. Out of all Harry’s children, Albus had Lily’s eyes. Harry’s eyes.

Hagrid carefully lowered the egg into the pot of boiling water. This time he was going to get it right. Last time the egg never hatched after he’d taken it out… left it in too long or too little. He didn’t know. He looked down into the pot.
“Ah…You’re going to grow up to be like me! Little buddy…” He sighed and sat down on his chair. “this egg’s going to grow up and be a big dragon...big…dragon…big…” His eyes drooped and his head banged onto the table.
No animals were harmed in the making of this story. Or dragons.

“Hagrid, Rubeus!” The professor screeched. Hagrid walked up timidly towards the little stool with the black hat on top. Jeeez…what house was he going to be in? The professor lifted the hat off the stool, and sighed in relief when Hagrid sat on the stool without it breaking. She put the hat onto his big head.
“Rubeus Hagrid…” The hat drawled, “Now hears one I find easy…”
“Please…please…”
“Please what dear boy?”
“Am I in Huffelpuff?”
“You think too little of yourself! GRYFFENDOR!” The hat cried, and Hagrid let out a sigh of relief as he joined the cheering reds.

Aha! He won’t find me here! I wandered around, looking at the greenery around me. It felt good to be in my home.
“ARAGOG!” Hagrid shouted. Jeez…couldn’t one get some alone time around here? I sighed and walked towards the shouting Hagrid.
“Hagrid!” I wheezed and bowed.
“Aragog you naught’ spider! Runnin’ from me!” He scolded, but grinned anyway.
“Haha!” I concluded and ran off again. I heard Hagrid curse somewhere distant before I ran off into the forbidden forest; all eight feet scuttling beneath me… this was the life.

“Dammed spider!” Hagrid muttered with a grin upon his face.

Hagrid sat at the back of the class room; it was the only place he could sit without being teased.
“Everyone sit!” The professor screamed to the rowdy class. Hagrid felt mildly sorry for her. She was easily pushed around by Riddle.
“You know what Professor? I don’t want to sit down. I feel perfectly comfortable standing!”
“Riddle!” She spluttered, “You will sit down right-“
“Who’s gonna make me?”
“Me!” Hagrid called, taking out his wand. Everyone laughed as Riddle flicked his wand away with no effort at all, and called the professor a name which made her eyes water.

Hagrid looked out of his hut windows at the Forbidden forest. It was dark out, and the forest was hard to see, even from the little hut. Mist and fog blocked the way. Hagrid sighed. Seemed like it was another day without seeing Aragog. He was getting a bit worried about him, he was old and weaker now. Not the young spider he once knew. His siblings were getting harder on him. They didn’t like Hagrid. Oh no! Hagrid opened his window and called out,
“Good nigh’ Aragog!” he waited for a response.
“Hoot hoot!” An owl howled. Hagrid chuckled.

“Oi, Rubeus!” A Slytherin shouted. Hagrid shuffled on, not wanting to be stopped by a group of bullies.
“I said, RUBEUS!”
“What?” Hagrid scowled.
“Just wanna say hi!” The kid chuckled, before hitting all Hagrid’s books out of his hands. “And ooops!” the kid ran off in hysterics with his evil cronies. Hagrid picked up his books and plodded off to his dormitory. He sat on his bed, and as it creaked dangerously, his mind slipped into a dark spot, and all he wanted was to not be here at all. To be with his dad. In a better place.

“Now ‘Arry, yer know what to do righ’?” Hagrid asked.
”Sure thing!” Harry grinned, plopping the funny looking liquid into the cauldron.
“Yer know, I always’ liked Cauldrons, they’ kinda non muggle like, ya know?”
“I thought you liked muggles?”
“yer…but I like Cauldrons too!” Hagrid grinned stupidly.
Harry shook his head. Hagrid was Drunk. Oh dear oh dear…
“So, what do I do now?”
“Now, we pause for th’ day and go get somethin’ to drink!” Hagrid banged the table with his fist, causing the cauldron to fall over. “ooopsies!”
Harry sighed. Some days, you just don’t get breaks.

Hagrid walked around his little hut broadly.
Then there was a knock at the door.
Hagrid went to open the door. He looked both ways out of the door then sighed. It was a trick...
“Mr Hagrid Sir!” A little voice squeaked. Hagrid jumped,
“What?” he asked suspiciously.
“Down here Mr Hagrid sir!” Hagrid looked down and looked into the eyes of a little house elf holding a big batch of warm cookies. “For you Mr sir! Compliments of Dumbledore!”
“Really?”
“yes!” Hagrid took the cookies graciously.
“Thank you!” He murmured as the little elf scuttled off into the distance.

The Professor walked out of the staff room and looked at his timetable. 2nd years Ancient ruins…great. That was Hagrid’s class…dear oh dear. He walked down the corridors, telling some Slytherins off on the way, and giving some Huffelpuffs house points because he could. He walked into the class room, without looking he shouted out:
“Page 169 Goblin war!” He opened his own dusty book and looked at his class. Hagrid was sat at the back as usual. He looked at Hagrid.
“Hagrid! Page 169!” He sighed as Hagrid jumped as if being awoken from a day dream. Deary me.

Hagrid walked into the Herbology lesson with his plant in hand.
“So everyone!” the teacher screeched, “I hope you all have your plants and- HAGRID! WHAT IS THAT?!?!” Hagrid looked down at his plant. What was wrong with it?
“I don’t understand professor.” He said, going red as some children laughed.
“THAT PLANT IS POISONUS! GET OUT!!!!!” Hagrid dropped the plant immediately on the floor. It smashed, sending broken pot pieces and mud everywhere. The plant curled up into a ball and then blossomed into a beautiful pink flower.
“wow.” Everyone muttered. Hagrid looked at the professor and smiled smugly.

Hagrid fell onto his bed and wiped the tears from his face. Why was everyone so mean to him?! He looked at his time table and sighed. Astronomy. Worst subject. His job – assigned by the professor – was to lift up the smaller children so they could see through some of the telescopes. His eyes were too big for the little eye holes in the telescopes. Maybe I should just skip it…Hagrid thought. He started to weep again and decided he was going to be bad. He lay in bed for a while before falling asleep and dreaming of the starts.

“Hagrid!” Harry cried, “Hagrid It’s snowing!” Hagrid shuffled out of his hut and was met by a harsh wind. He quickly closed the door and looked out of the window instead. Harry’s little face met his and he mouthed, “SNOW!” Hagrid chuckled and looked behind Harry. Of course, there was Ron and Hermione laughing and throwing snow balls. Hagrid put on his mole skin coat and walked outside. He made up a snow ball and threw it at Harry’s back. Harry jumped and looked at Hagrid. “You’re gonna pay for that!” he laughed and threw a snowball at Hagrid back.

“’Agrid! Will you danze viv me?”
“I will dance!” Hagrid held her hand and walked her over to the dance floor.
“you know zee valz ‘agrid?”
“The Valz?”
“Yes, it goes like dis…” And she began to dance the walkz.
“The Waltz?” Hagrid laughed as he began to take lead. They both danced and danced, neither of them wanting to stop, until the moon shined at his highest in the sky.
“Shall vee go outside ‘agrid?” They both walked outside and started up at the full moon. They then both looked at eachother and as a werewolf howled, they kissed.

Hagrid walked into the divination lesson. This lesson they were using crystal balls! He wondered if anyone’d be able to see anything but the prospect seemed fine to the professor.
“Sit yourselves down on a chair, by a table….upon that table you will see a ball…” The professor’s voice sounded very dreamy. Hagrid sat himself by a table. It was a tight squeeze. “You must find a partner!” She cried at last minute. Great. Hagrid sat and waited. He started into the crystal ball, and was sure he could see a little boy wearing glasses staring up at him. What?

“Hermione!” Harry cried, “We have to get to care of magical creatures first! It’s Hagrid’s first day!”
“Coming!” Hermione muttered, stumbling with lots of books.
“What’s all that?” Ron asked.
“Well, I’ve been learning as much as I can about creatures so I wont have to go near them in class.” Hermione sniffed.
“Ahhh…So your not a fan on creatures then?” Ron chuckled.
“No, they’re nice…but…” She trailed off, speeding up her pace.
“but what?” Harry asked.
“Don’t get angry Harry, but I’m just a little worried that now Hagrid is teaching it, it might get a little…out of control.”

“THE FORBIDDEN FOREST IS FORBIDDEN!” Hagrid shouted, “IT HAS THAT NAME FOR A REASON! IT IS DANGEROUS! BOYS! LISTEN TO ME!” Some young Slytherins were thinking it funny to get Hagrid very angry. They kept jumping in and out of the forest, laughing as they did so. If only they knew what creatures were lurking in there. Serves them right though! Playing where they aint allowed!
“Nah nah nah nah nah! Hagrid can’t catch me!” One boy taunted.

No Hagrid, come on, don’t go out there, it’s pointless, they’re just silly boys, calm down…

“Fatty!!!”

That did it.

“HOW DARE….”

Hagrid held out his torch and looked into the distance. He was sure he could see something, but what was it? It was in the Forbidden forest, so that can’t be good. But what if it was a unicorn? They’re so rare to see…He stepped forward a fraction, so he leaning into the Forbidden forest, not necessarily in it, but that didn’t help. As soon as he moved, the creature moved back a little. But it didn’t run away..
“Hullo?” He called. At that the creature did run away, a trail of silver sparks behind it. It was a unicorn.
