Sneaky kitten lion
A soft ‘meow’ was heard through the Hogwarts corridor. Alex stopped oozing coolness and looked around him for the source of the sound. What in Merlin’s dancing knickers was that? A kitten! He fought the urge to clap his hands together in delight and just crouched down and held his hand out for the little creature.
“Here, kitty kitty...” He murmured. The kitten approached him slowly and then suddenly-
BAM!
It was transformed. From a cute innocent kitten, (it was orange I might add) to a freaking seventh year Gryffindor. Alex stared for a while before falling over.
He’d fainted.

Scolded Dedicated to his best friend's (MissFeenella) Pygmy Puff - Plum
Vases were knocked down when he ran by and paintings were cheering him on. Alex definitely felt the adrenaline pumping when he chased the creature down the long hallway. With a slightly shocked expression he saw a group of first year girls standing there all innocent. Oh no. His target was fixating on them. Alex wouldn’t let it get away. “Hey, that’s cheating!” Alex yelled after the purple Pygmy Puff as it hid behind the girls’ legs.
What happened next? Well, he had to suffer half an hour of scolding by ten firsties because he 'chased the cute puff’. Surreal.

Alex was acting so out of character. The library was filled with students studying for the exams coming up and Alex sat with Ellie in a corner on the floor but he couldn’t study this wasn’t what was out of character. Ellie sat next to him scribbling down things on her parchment while his empty page stared back up at him. He had to ask her to the Yule ball, he had to. “Ellie would you…” She looked up at him curiously. But once again his courage failed him. “…Pass me that book?” He finished. What a complete failure.

Alex was freaking out. With his jaw dropped onto his knees he sat with wide eyes and pressed himself up against the car window. He’d known these… Things existed but he had never been in one.
“It’s a metal murder machine and it’s going faast!” he screamed.
Alex stopped his flailing when he felt a small hand on his shoulder. He turned around and saw his sister sitting with teary eyes. Feeling quite ashamed of his behavior he lifted the little girl up in his lap and hushed.
“We’ll be home soon.” He murmured to her while she curled up.

Alex shook his head determined. ”No, no you’re doing it all wrong.” He protested and stood up. “Watch and learn.” He said, cleared his throat and got ready. With a skeptic look plastered on his face he moved his right hand swiftly through the air in a ' Z'-formation snapping at every angle. Losing the face he flashed Chandler a huge grin. “See? That’s how it is done.” He nodded his head before plopping down onto his chair. “It’s just not the same effect with an ‘L’ instead of ‘Z.’” he said with a wink and his mouth full of food.

"Easy, she says." Alex muttered under his breath. He was so bad at potions, every time he tried to succeed; he failed miserably. Most of the time he blew up the cauldrons. Though, there he was in class yet again brewing some potion he would never use. He grabbed the great ladle and started stirring slowly. Now if only he could get a better look at it and lean forward just a little…
Alex realized when it was too late that he’d leaned over too much and the next second he was inside the cauldron.
“Now, this can’t be right.”

Alex was almost done; he fiddled with his shirt some more before clearing his throat and knocked twice on the door. “Never fear, I’m here.” he announced seriously. The door opened and there stood Selena glaring down at him. “Oh… Ally, what do you want?”
With a grin spreading he started dancing around on his knees. “I’m a leprechaun, I’m a leprechaun!” he sang with his knees stuck into his shoes. The sound of the door slamming behind him made him stop. “Oh come on Sel, it was just a joke, little one!” he snickered before falling over in laughter.

Now this felt wrong in so many ways. Being a transfer he was a thirteen years old and surrounded by a bunch of firsties. Sure, they were cute but like couldn’t they be squished? He didn’t want to step on one of them. A few firsties stood gaping up at him.
“Hey, how you’re doing?” he grinned but looked sad when a firstie almost fainted at his words. Poor little creatures.
“Alexander Reed.”
“Alex, just Alex.” He corrected quietly when he stepped up to the Sorting Hat. “You better put me in Slytherin, you black, old and dirty looking thing.”

Alex was walking to class with his best friend in deep thought. He hoped Ellie had gotten his package the night before. Seeing how Hogwarts was determined not to let him in the Ravenclaw Common Room he had been forced to leave the box of chocolate outside, just hoping she would get them. ”Oh and did you hear what happened last night?” Fee asked Alex while they were walking to class. “Someone had left out a box of chocolate outside the Claw’s Common Room for the house elves. Wasn’t that nice?”
Alex stopped dead staring at her. Fate hated him.

Alex was more than exhausted, he struggled with keeping his eyes open as they stood listening to the Professor talking and talking and talking… Couldn’t they at least sit down? Nooo, they had to stand. It wasn’t his fault that he’d stayed up all night playing Quidditch! Wait, yes it was. It didn’t take him long to realize that he would never be able to stay awake the whole lesson.
No, not again, he managed to think before he fell asleep. Yes, that’s correct. He fell asleep while standing up. So what? Sue him.
No wait don’t, I love him.

Well, he would just have to have fun on his own. He was pretty talented at that. Finding himself at the top of the seventh floor looking down over the moving staircases.
That’s where the idea popped up, if he yelled something it would echo throughout all the floors… With a wicked smirk he positioned himself, cleared his throat and just started to yodel.
Why? Because he was the coolest.

Perhaps this Herbology lesson won’t be too bad, Alex thought as he watched how the little plants were put up on the table. Apparently they ate animals. Flesh eating plants eh? He’d always wanted one of those. The Professor had been specific about wearing the gloves but Alex wanted to touch the little joker. He nudged Emma’s side and grinned widely when he touched the plant. “Look, it’s not dangerous at all is it?” he chuckled, then all of a sudden the plant reached out and in less than one second, Alex’s face was covered by a huge plant.

Ambush
No matter what people said, Alex would defeat the Whomping Willow. He would be the last one standing up. Crouching in a nearby bush he inspected the tree’s every movement. It seemed easy enough, just run up there a few flicks of his wand and the tree wouldn’t hurt him any longer. With a quick jump out of the bushes he ran forwards. Terrified he saw the tree discovering his attack.
And another one bites the dust. Literally. Alex got hit by one of the branches and flew through the air, landing hard.

Alex sat on the Quidditch pitch polishing his broom, he needed to take his mind off things. He was always the happy one, the jokester, the one who never got angry or sad. For once he felt moody but he couldn’t show that to people. He was supposed to be the guy everyone went to, he couldn’t go to anyone. Besides, Fee had been MIA for an eternity while things were building up to be unbearable. With a deep sigh he mounted his broom and just flew.
How could it be that everyone had him but he had no one?

Alex was very happy, yes very happy indeed. Untying the package from the owl his eyes sparkled with excitement. Absently he gave the owl some owl treats and started unwrapping the package. Ohmygeeh! He just stood gaping at the sword he now held in his hand. Pressing lightly on a button on the side a green blade shot out. It shone brightly, just like in the muggle movies.
He had a Star Wars sword! Flailing, jumping around in a circle once he ran down to the Common Room where Hyun sat in an armchair. “Hyun, I am your father. ZAP!”

He turned around and saw his partner standing there smirking her famous Malfoy smirk. “Why hello you.” He chuckled.
She didn’t answer, she simply pointed to something above his head. Alex looked up to see a giant snowball hovering above his head. Oh no. It suddenly dropped and covered him from top to toe in freezing snow. “You’re my own snowman!” he thought he heard Emma squeal. Ah, great.

But Alex only shook his head. “I won’t. It’s old and dirty and I might get the cooties. And don’t call me Alexander.” He added still glaring at the old boot they were supposed to use as a portkey.
“Alexander, how are you planning to get home?”
“Flying.” He nodded. “And don’t call me Alexander.”
Five minutes later they were on the train back to New York.

It wasn’t like Alex Reed was addicted to sugar or anything he just really, really liked it. On a normal “I’m not a psycho”-level. At least that is what he told people. So why was he out of the dorms in the middle of the night? Patrolling? Doing some homework that required darkness? No, he was simply looking for the chocolate he saw a firstie drop earlier that day.
Aand down on the floor he went, he crawled around on all fours searching for a chocolate that might or might not be there. Clearly on an “I’m not a psycho”-level.

Pondering on that fact for a while he absently placed his arm around her shoulders. Seeing as he had a lot of girl friends he was used to that, but doing it to Ellie was something completely different. “Madam Puddifoots.” He nodded to himself grinning.
