93. Feast
Emma knew Selena was fond of bringing home pets but this was just absolutely insane. After a long day at work, Emma just wanted to relax on the sofa and watch some muggle television with her best friend and a bowl of popcorn.
"Cluck... cluck."
Emma glared at the winged creature sitting in Selena's lap.
"Selena Vivianne Zabini-Riddle..." Emma started angrily.
"Uh oh.... Cluckie, we have a problem," Selena whispered loudly to the chicken.
Emma was not amused. "Get that chicken out of here!"
Selena pouted and looked at Cluckie who then looked at Emma.
Defeated, Selena sighed and nodded.

7. Care of Magical Creatures
As Selena spent hours playing with the pets each day, Emma felt as if their apartment was slowly turning into a home for creatures. They had the usual two that lived there with them plus a handful of others who would visit.
One day, on their way back home from dinner at a local pub, Selena insisted that they should go visit a local pet shop. “I want to look at the rabbits,” she said as she pushed open the door.
“Have you ever thought of being a Care for Magical Creatures Professor?”
“Yeah, its too much work,” shrugged Selena.

2. Muggle Studies
Emma sat on the sofa, flipping through channels on the television while Selena pondered the mysteries of the muggle kitchen. Approaching the black stove the two owned, Selena poked at it with her trustworthy spatula.
"Em?" Selena called out as she prodded the knobs on the stove.
"Yes Sel?" Emma asked, not taking her eyes off the television.
Selena put the spatula down and turned the knobs on the stove. It immediately lit up.
"AGUAMENTI. AGUAMENTI. AGUAMENTI!!!" Selena shouted waving her spatula at the oven.
Emma got up and turned the stove off. "Next time pay attention in Muggle Studies."

Emma decided to do an experiment in the kitchen with using the kenaz runestone. She had heard a rumour from some people at Hogwarts that the Kenaz runestone cooked food more efficiently and have it a better flavour. Halfway through making dinner, Selena came in to set the table. “What’s that smell?”
“Dinner. Is it burning?” asked the worried blonde.
“No, it just smells really, really good. Can we eat now?”
“It needs more time.”
“But I’m starving, Em.”
“Well the desserts ready, but we really…”
Selena shook her head. “No buts, let’s eat the dessert first. We need sugar.”

Emma came home from the Ministry with a headache the second she heard loud barking noises from within the flat. Taking a deep breath, Emma sighed and walked inside.
"SELENA?!" she shouted. Where was the crup and puppy? The two were barking like crazy but they were nowhere to be seen. "Sel?"
Selena walked over to the kitchen humming a song, not hearing a thing due to the headphones in her ears. Seeing Emma, she stopped and took out one earbud.
"What's up, Em?" Selena asked casually.
"Where is Clarke and Bumble?"
"They're fighting outside."

Already dressed in her Hogwarts robes, a young eleven year old boarded the train. Her name was Selena. She snagged a compartment just for her and placed her feet up on the other side of the bench. Selena closed her eyes and took a moment to relax. Knock, knock. Opening one violet eye, she saw a blonde girl waiting there. Her name was Emma.
"Hey, mind if I join you?" asked Emma.
Selena smiled. "Of course not, I'm Selena Zabini-Riddle."
The blond smiled. "I'm Emma Malfoy."
And that was the day that the Crazytastic Besties met.

100. Homework
"Sel... where's your homework?" Emma asked as she flipped through her own completed assignments.
The brunette pulled out a folder from her bag and placed it on the table then took out crinkled sheets of parchment. Amongst the parchment were paper airplanes.
"Here."
Emma's eyes widened. "You can't turn that in Sel! You're a prefect!"
Selena shrugged her shoulders and leaned back in her chair. "I know."
Emma was confused now. "So...?"
"I'm not turning in my homework?" Selena said with a grin.
Frowning, Emma rolled up an old Daily Prophet and bopped Selena over on the head with it.

"ARITHMANCY IS THE BEST CLASS EVER!" shouted a student as they entered the Great Hall. The student earned several weird glances from the Crazytastic Besties.
"Someone's happy," smirked Emma.
Selena put down her homework and glanced at the strange student that had entered. "Arithmancy is super weird. So is that person." She untied her bag of candy.
Emma looked up from her work and nodded, "Exactly, and how can you possibly learn about yourself from a bunch of numbers?"
Selena nodded. Taking a sip of her pumpkin juice, she pulled a face. "Pumpkin juice is weird."

Emma sighed as she saw Selena leave another dirty dish in the sink of their new flat. "Sel, you can't keep leaving dishes there."
Confused, Selena gave Emma a weird face. "Why?"
"Because if you don't wash it I do... where do you think the dishes go?" Emma was just as confused as Selena now.
Staring at the blonde, Selena said slowly, "The... house elf... cleans... them...?"
Emma shook her head slowly. "Sel... we... don't... have... a... house... elf."
The two stared at each other for a minute.
"What do you mean we don't have a house elf?!" Selena exclaimed.

mini-challenge twenty - Go for the Gold
With a telescope pressed to one eye, Selena stood on the couch, surveying the living room. Cluckie rested on her head whilst Clarke whined. "Stop whining second mate, Clarke! I be looking for treasure. Gold, candy, and more," exclaimed Selena as she continued to glance around the room.
The door opened. "I'm back!" cried Emma as she closed the door. Clarke raced out of the room.
Selena closed her telescope. "Cluckie, will you commit mutiny too?"
Cluckie didn't respond.
Emma entered the room. When she glanced at Selena, she didn't even ask what her bestie was doing.

mini challenge twenty-two: hand-me-down weasley
Selena set her new rubber ducks down on the floor next to the remains of the howler she had received from her mother and an owl from TallPerson. “Em?”
“What’s up?”
“What would you say about getting a pet dragon?”
Suspicious, Emma asked, “Why?”
Selena shrugged. “TallPerson was saying how I’m not smart because I was head girl. But we both know he’d be all 'OH I’M HEAD BOY' if he were.”
Emma laughed. “We should transfigure him into a spider and use the bat-bogey hex on him.”
“Or the dragon thing,” Selena pointed out.
“Or transfiguration,” Emma said, smirking.

mini challenge nineteen - you're a Firework
"Come on, Selena! We have to get to the roof of the hotel before the fireworks start!" cried Emma who was running up the many stairs of their hotel in New York City.
Selena stopped, trying to catch her breath. "Couldn't... couldn't we have used magic?"
"I suppose we could have but people would have seen us, Sel!"
"Silly muggles. Once I get up there, I'm not coming back down! It's going to be like the walk to Astronomy class."
"The view will be just as amazing as the Astronomy tower on a clear night."

Emma and Selena were in a jewelry store shopping. While Emma fawned over some necklaces of sorts, Selena slipped away to look at rings.
“Excuse me, can I see that necklace?”
Now that Emma was distracted…
“Pssst,” Selena whispered to an employee. “Which ring do I buy if I’m trying to get my friend to propose to her boyfriend?” she asked, careful to not attract Emma’s attention.
After an hour, the two girls exited the store with their own bags.
“What did you buy, Sel? You were awfully quiet.” Emma was curious. Selena was never quiet.
“Oh… you know… stuff.”

"Perhaps, he's waiting for the right time." She shrugged.
"If you're so worried about it all why can't you just get onto one knee and say, 'BRAE. MARRY ME. IF YOU SAY NO- IT'S OVER!'"

Selena took the flowers out of her bag and looked for a vase to put them in. Emma, holding a cup of tea, walked in on the girl opening cabinets and eyed the flowers.
“Those are nice flowers, Sel. Where’d you get them?” Emma, picked them up and sniffed them. They smelled nice too.
“Oh, I picked them from the botanical garden,” Selena said, shrugging.
“Oh, cool- ”
WAIT WHAT?!
Emma’s eyes widened as she looked at the flowers and then her best friend.
“Yeah, Elderberry and I got a bunch, they’re nice right?” Selena said proudly with a grin.

“EMMA! It’s an emergency!”
An emergency? Emma slid across the floor towards Selena’s shouts. She finally reached Selena by the other side of the house. Selena was staring at this door that had never been there before. “What’s up?” she asked.
“It’s a passageway. I don’t know where it leads but we should go in it.”
Pulling out her wand, Emma cast Lumos. With a bright light in front of them, the two women walked down the corridor. Finally, they found a door. Selena pushed it open and both girls’ mouths dropped. “I know where we are.”
“We’re at Hogwarts.”

“I think we’re in the dungeons,” Selena said, nodding her head.
Emma and Selena had just so happened to stumble upon this passageway and there was no way they were going back if they were indeed at Hogwarts.
“Do you think we can get into the common room?” Emma asked, shining her wand.
Selena shrugged. “You’re pretty, I’m pretty, we’re both pretty and Slytherins… I think we’ll find a way,” Selena said with a grin.
Emma thought about it, shrugged and nodded. Selena was right. The two continued before reaching the common room entrance.
The two took a deep breath.

On their way to their old common room, they passed the Potions classroom that had students cleaning cauldrons. “Detention?” whispered Emma to Selena as she raised an eyebrow. If it was detention then they better get on their way.
Meanwhile Selena peeked into the classroom to find Lafay not in sight. “Did Lafay retire? There’s this weird grey haired guy in the classroom.”
“I dunno, Selena…”
“Can we help you?” asked a voice. They turned around to see a Slytherin boy with his book bag lazily hanging off of his shoulder. Next to him stood a pretty Gryffindor girl.

“Selena and this is my friend Emma, we think we took a wrong turn and now we can’t find the old classroom down in the dungeons,” Selena said, with her most charming smile.
Were these the new Hogwarts students? How adorable!
Emma grinned and went with it too. “Yeah, we’re new to the school. We just transferred. A bit late, but better late than never!” she said with a laugh.
The two younger students nodded their head slowly. “I’m Simon and she’s Bianca,” the boy said.
Bianca walked up to Selena and poked her nose before saying, “Classroom’s that way.”

Selena blinked at the girl, briefly confused at first. Then she just went with it. "Thanks?" She poked the girl back in the nose cause you know she was older. Meanwhile Emma kept an eye on the boy who had grown incredibly quiet as if he was lost in his own thoughts. He glanced up at them. “So where are you two from?”
“We were homeschooled before this,” said Emma.
“Right…So are you going to class?”
Selena paused and checked her pockets. “Yeah!. Save us a seat? Think I forgot my dragonhide gloves…”

"It's fine, you can get them from the professor," the girl named Bianca said.
Selena had been called weird many times but this girl was much, much stranger. She gave Emma a glance who just shrugged.
"Great, so lead the way, we'll follow you two," Emma said, smiling warmly at the two.
Selena nodded while Bianca and Simon exchanged looks.
"Your shoes are untied," Bianca pointed out to Emma.
Emma was pretty sure she was not wearing sneakers. When she looked down, she felt a poke at her forehead.
"Got you." Bianca smirked.
Simon just shook his head and signed.

Bianca grinned. "What's the band's name?
