I am planning on setting/posting this drabble challenge in a specific order. Soooo, it is going to start out when my character is very young, and will work it's way up to the point she is at right now.
There will be several different categories/stages (from what I have planned now)...Youth (age 4-12), Teen (13-17), and Adult (18+). I am hoping to follow along with my original plan unless I REALLY lose interest in it...which I highly doubt that I will.

I never include characters that were not of my making without permission. Credit for character use will be listed at the bottom of the drabble in which they were used, and will include the creator's screenname.

Freya Nadine Skyler was the first RPG character that I ever created.

I. Disturbance (78)

There was loud coughing coming from downstairs. A small four year old girl was in her bed, staring at her bedroom door with widened eyes. It scared her, the sounds of someone nearly choking. And it sounded very much like her father.

Freya slid carefully out of her too-large bed and peeked through the door into the hallway, "Daddy?" Her soft, young voice called out, concern and curiousity etched into her face. It was rare for there to be a disturbance in the air like this.

There was no response, only the ever increasing sound of harsh, painful breathing.

II. Allergic (94)

A five year old girl with long blonde hair was balancing herself on a small stepstool in attempts to reach a few strawberries that had been set aside after soaking in the kitchen sink.
Freya peered over her shoulder to make sure her mother wasn't coming before swiping a small berry and eagerly gobbled it up. She had never had one before. It was sweet and tart and...made her throat hurt.

She rubbed her neck, whimpering. Apparently, the girl was having an allergic reaction.
Freya wished to call her mother for help, but was afraid of getting into trouble.
