Upon entry to this room, located on the west end of the school, one might feel like they’ve been transported elsewhere. At the very least, it’s obvious there are a multitude of spells on the library, as it holds what looks like two tiers of bookshelves, a small walkway separating them and reached by a ladder that slides along the railing. Books upon books fill the shelves, of nearly every subject that one might need to find information about. Not only that, but upon request of one with or wizard or another, a small section of fiction can be found in an out of the way corner, and a liberal number of study desks, comfy chairs and cushions are scattered in the center of the room and near the windows that break up the endless expanses of shelves lining the walls.

Dillon had taken over one of the study desks, a fair stack of books surrounding the hard work he was doing. The end of the school year had brought on numerous projects and reviews in order to prepare them for final exams. So far the only subject he was eager to work on with much effort was Astronomy, a subject he was lightyears ahead in compared to others in his year.
His project was showing as much. There were three large glass jars sitting on the desk, which were meant for making terrariums. However, these jars held no flora in them. Instead the Thunderbird was using them to contain scaled models of different star life cycles. Though he was being quiet, the inside of his mind was loud like a rocket launch.
So far one of the jars was complete. The low mass star within began at the main sequence until it became a black dwarf. It was the high mass star models that were causing him some issues. The one that was meant to collapse into a neutron star only went as far as its supernova stage, and the other had a black hole that wouldn't end so the cycle could replay.

Libraries weren’t one of the places that Veronica particularly ENJOYED, but she was generally fine with them... so long as she was reading something for fun and not because she had to for school. Learning was okay, but studying was a complete pain to deal with. Not to mention end-of-year projects.
With a slight frown on her face, she made her way over to where the study desks were. It was good to know that the place was mostly empty, though it looked like Dillon was working on something. Curiously she approached him and saw that he was working on the Astronomy project. ”Hey, Dillon. That looks really awesome.” Of course he’d ace this, he was an Astronomy whiz. Hers probably wouldn’t look half as good.

He continued to wave his wand around, lightly tapping at the lid here and there. Incantations quietly left his mouth, though they didn't seem to do any good. The supernova and blackhole were still there. Dillion set his wand down in frustration, defeated. The gravity of the situation was severe.
And then it hit him. There was too much -- Hey, Dillon. That looks really awesome.
His head turned slightly, his eyes making contact with the girl in front of him. Once his mind fully registered that THE Veronica Faulkner-Hawthorne was speaking to him, his cheeks turned started to change colour. What she said to him hadn't made him embarrassed. No, he that was a compliment he rather appreciated considering two of the jars weren't ready for liftoff. He was as red as Mars for different reasons entirely.
"Th - th - thanks, Ronnie," Dillon managed to reply, still looking at her. Umm ... what now?

Dillon was turning as red as a tomato, and Veronica had no idea why that would be, then figured that it was probably him being shy of a compliment. Yep. That was definitely it.
"Could you maybe help me with my project? I mean... if it's not a problem." She could see that he was busy and had other parts to finish up still. And working on this project hadn't been her original plan for the day, but it was worth a shot when there was someone who could help her out when needed. He was a lot better at Astronomy than she was; honestly most people were way better than her since Veronica did not have a head for science and found that there were other things a lot more interesting than random objects in space.

The JARVEY tests were going to be the death of him.
Maybe not at the moment because Jer was fast asleep, his right cheek pressed against the Arithmancy book before him. He couldn't help it. No matter how hard he tried, he always ended up falling asleep when studying. It may have also had something to do with the fact that he stayed up late the previous night.
At least there was no one there to disturb his sleep. He had chosen the table farthest away from the others. At that moment, Jer gave a low snore and mumbled in his sleep. Lost in peaceful bliss, he was oblivious that Aurora would be joining him soon.

Aurora did NOT envy her boyfriend this year. She had gone through the whole JARVEY mess last year and knew how taxing the whole thing could be. Although she was hardly out of the woods. University applications and getting ready to graduate were proving to be just as stressful, but they were out there now and she had no control over it. It was driving her mad, knowing that her fate was now in the hands of the admissions offices - but it was whatever. She was trying to relax. And help Jer relax.
Grinning, she walked over and kissed his cheek as he lay on top of his study things. She giggled and then plopped down next to him. "Learning through osmosis are we?" she asked with a grin.

A great dream was what he was lost in. One that involved no JARVEY tests and instead, himself and Aurora. In it, they were kissing – rather ferociously too. Jer mumbled again in his sleep though he did become aware- ever so slightly- of the warm touch on his cheek. Now Aurora had broken their kiss. "Another,'' he mumbled and telling her the same in his mind.
"Learning what through osmosis?'' That was when his eyes decided to open. "You're real,'' he said sleepily and yawning a bit. He had actually dreamed her into life. "Hi,'' Jer said goofily. "You look like an angel.''

Aurora giggled and poked his side playfully. "You're just saying that because you're half asleep," she said with a grin. She sat down next to him and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
"So how is studying going?" she teased him, as it obviously wasn't going SUPER well. You couldn't exactly learn while you were sleeping...

The poke and kiss on the cheek were enough to wake him up a little more. Still struggling to keep his eyes open, Jer sat up and stretched, raising his arms above his head. "I was not,'' was his response and now he was trying to stifle a yawn. As he lowered his arms, the one closest to Aurora slipped around her shoulders.
"It's going meh,'' Jer informed the girlfriend. "I could be doing better things like snogging you but no...'' He glared at his books as though it were somehow their fault he had to be sitting major exams that year. ''I don't know how you did it. The exams, I mean.''

Aurora giggled and rested her head on his shoulder. "I know, but before you know it, it'll all be over with!" she assured him. "And it was definitely not very fun, but it was all worth it in the end when I got my results," she explained, trying to give him some sort of pep talk to keep his spirits up. She knew it was harder for him, and not everyone was wired to be a walking library like she was.
But it HAD been worth it. After all, she'd gotten in to a few good universities - deciding which one to go to was the hard part. And trying to make a decision based on her brain and not her heart was proving to be even more difficult...
Pushing that thought aside, she scooted a bit closer to him. "Well, when you're done we'll have to have a special date night to celebrate," she told him with a smirk.

Jer heard all of Aurora's voice, he really did, even though he was lost in admiring her face. He sat there with a slightly dreamy look on his face and nodded. Then he shook himself out of it. "I wish I was as good as you with the books and exams and everything else.'' He sounded a little grumpy but he wasn’t mad at her just that he wished he had the same talent. "I've got to put in twice maybe thrice the amount of work.''
He smirked back, reaching out to trace her lips with his finger. "Sounds like a plan and a lot of fun. I could plan that unless you want to?'' Jer had a few ideas of what they could do but he was also willing to do stuff that the girlfriend wanted to.
