| | Game Room Game Room - Third Floor
In need of some indoor recreation and a break from studying? The Game Room is a popular hangout for many students to relax and unwind after classes and on the weekend. Upon walking into this wide room, one may be greeted with the chiming and ringing of the several pinball machines at each of the corners. Favorite games of no-majs and wizards alike can be found throughout, including wizard chess, trivial pursuit, apples to apples, exploding snap, and darts. Small groupings of cushiony lounge chairs and small tables are situated among the games for optimized relaxing, and there's a pool table tucked against the opposite wall. |

| Open Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something... Madelyn was in her seventh year, seventh! So why was she feeling more homesick this term than any before? She was having a rough term, not academically, not even with her cheer group, but just herself. With many of her friends graduated, Blakeny having her issues, and Will not there she felt lost. She did have other friends, but something still was a bit lonely at times.
Finding her way to the game room Madelyn looked around and went over to the cushiony lounge chairs. Finding one that felt comfortable, she opened her latest book about Werewolves and began to read. Just being around the muggle items made her feel a little closer to home. She had so many decisions to make before the end of term and she still wasn't fully sure what she wanted to do.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Vera Brinley Thanatos Gryffindor Seventh Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Mandrake Beery Slytherin Third Year | Open post! Anashti l Brat Pack l Sally & Dr. Finklestein Was there anything more magical than the game room?
Okay, well in the literal sense, yes - nearly every other part of Ilvermony was more magical, but in the excitement sense, Tinsley would argue no, there was not. There was nothing like getting to take a break from studying and just enjoying being a child for a little bit and play games to take some of the stress off. Her personal favorite was pool, but usually unless there was someone else around she could connive into playing with her, she'd manage to find other means of entertainment.
Like pinball today. She was not good at pinball, really not even convinced someone could be, but that didn't mean she couldn't get enjoyment from it. Getting set up and starting game number one, the ball managed to go straight into the hole signifying the end rather quickly. So she pulled her curls back into a ponytail and tried again.
Same result. "I wonder if there's a record for fastest loss for pinball." She mused out loud, getting set up for another game. She was NOT a quitter.

The game room wasn’t a particular haunt, not usually. Rosalie was much more often found outdoors, or anywhere she could possibly find a canvas to create her artworks on. Most of her old stuff had been vanished, probably by a professor or somebody else who wasn’t the type to see it as something to be proud of. She was still proud of the projects, even the chalk drawings that had been washed away by rainstorms. At least she was getting it out there for people to see.
Except, today wasn’t a day for looking for a wall to decorate. Even if she still had a few cans of Muggle spray paint and sticks of chalk in her bag, just in case. She was just wandering, avoiding tackling the latest homework assignments. She’d grinned as she’d heard the sentence that had spilled from Tinsley’s lips, though. “Probably,” she replied, walking over to join her at the pinball machines. “I’m not sure anyone here cares to keep track, though.” If they had, something would be posted somewhere. People here seemed to like acting competitive, over just about everything.

The next game was also an immediate loss, but Tins was going to give herself some grace on this go around and say that was also in part to the surprise she received by someone else speaking as they came up beside her. This was being far too generous to herself though, as obviously it was the same result as the first two in which she had not had any type of distractions.
Turning her head a bit, she offered a smile to Rosalie as she entered, laughing as she mentioned no one keeping track. "Maybe I should put up a huge chart on the wall here next to the pinball machine for people to keep track. Figure out who the slowest really is!" And if she remembered correctly, if this was an endeavor she wanted to take on Rosalie would be the one to ask for assistance. Which speaking of.. "I saw an amazing piece of chalk work out on one of the east walls. Was that you or is there someone coming for your art crown?" A soft giggle, before also stepping back from the game machine and gesturing to it as an offer to the other girl.

Homework distraction was always a thing, and when it ultimately involved housemates and amusing endeavor. Especially when she wasn’t entirely sure what her sister was up to. Or the various cousins who always seemed to be around as well, but then that made this an escape, too. No relatives to be curious about what she was up to. Just said housemate, and Tinsley didn’t seem to be offended by her invasion. “You think they actually would?,” she responded, wondering aloud as she turned her gaze to the wall in question. If anything, it was certainly an idea to consider. Except, said consideration got derailed a bit as the other girl had continued speaking. “Oh, I hope not. At least, I don’t know of anyone else here who does the same thing I do.” She remembered the artwork in question, too, as she stepped up to try out the pinball machine herself. A stylized portrait of one of the pukwudgies roaming around campus. Not the students, but the actual creatures.

A stylized portrait of one of the pukwudgies roaming around campus. Not the students, but the actual creatures. The idea was rather silly, for sure, of putting up a score chart. And yet, the more she considered it, the more she liked it. And after having stepped away from the pinball machine in order to share, she found herself using her arms to try to measure out the wall to see how much space she'd have for said poster. She could make it pretty and big and BRIGHT and even if no one kept score, maybe it would just be something FUN. "The competitive ones would."
Like herself, primarily. "Even if they did, I'm certain it could only be like a 1/3 of your talent." Her attention turned again towards her peer, a bright smile in place. Rosalie's artwork was one of Tins favorite things around the castle. While not particularly talented herself, she was a big big fan of the arts. "Though I suppose your stuff certainly could eventually inspire people to want to try." Maybe she could even get her own apprentice eventually! How fun would that be!? "How long did it take you to perfect that piece?"
