here's the next post! Relieved Harry sat down and began to explain all the weird events that had been going on to Hermione. The stomach jerks, the temporary vision problems, and the library book that had mysteriously returned.
“… and the same thing happened today Hermione! I return the book, get a stomach lurch twice, and I’ve done whatever “it” is again! What did I supposedly do?”
Hermione looked at him and said:
“Ginny says she saw you kissing Cho Chang, on both occasions.”  I never liked Cho...

 you guys are so great, here's the next post: The next day Hermione came to Harry with a few questions. She had been up most of the night thinking.
“Harry you know you said the book was in your bag after you returned it for the first time? Check your bag for the book again.” She said and Harry searched his bag. There it was. The book was still there. Hermione nodded and sat down on an armchair.
“The only solution I can think of…” She began. “I that you’re under some sort of spell or charm that sort of, hypnotises you… It’s possible that someone is tricking you into thinking…” Hermione stopped, her eyes wide.
“Harry, you said you saw someone before you stomach lurched for the first time yesterday, who was it?”
“Cho Chang… oh no!”
“That’s it Harry! She must have you under some sort of… spell I don’t know but if you see her before the stomach lurches… that was the same time Ginny said she saw you with Cho again it all fits!” Hermione sat up excitedly. The thought of this made Harry cringe, but after his stomach lurched for a second time yesterday he’d seen a flick of black hair around the corner… Hermione could be right…
“But how to prove it I don’t know… I can’t think what spells there are that could hypnotise upon sight…”
The next few days were spent desperately searching for spells. Ron and Ginny didn’t know that Hermione was helping Harry, Hermione knew they wouldn’t believe them. There wasn’t a spell or charm anywhere that would automatically hypnotise when the target saw the spellcaster.

:arg: sorry I haven't posted in ages, my coursework got the better of me  Harry decided to try and return the book again. His Butterbeer tasted weird, again. As he turned towards the library he saw Cho Chang facing him and his stomach lurched, his vision went and then she was gone. He ran for the library in the hope of escaping her, but then realised he must already be in the trance. Then his jaw dropped, Hermione was sitting at the table in the library. She hadn’t left the great hall with him…
“Hermione?” He asked and she looked up smiling.
“Hey Harry! Come and finish your homework here…” She pointed and a quill and parchment on the desk but he didn’t move.
“Hermione I saw Cho and my stomach lurched again, I think-”
“Cho! Are you in love with her again?”
“No! Hermione my vision went again and she was gone I think I’m in a trance again?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about Harry?” She said and then he realised. He was in a trance, this wasn’t real. Hermione wasn’t really there, that’s why she couldn’t remember about anything he was talking about. He had to get out! He was more than likely with Cho now! But how? dun dun dun...

thanks guys! and welcome Shannon! I love the name Shannon, it reminds me of cats for some reason... anyway here's the next post, it's a cliffy I'm afraid!
He ran out of the library to get away from Hermione and stopped dead. Ahead of his the air seemed to be very smoky. It was rippling and wavy. But only a smallish section of he air was rippling. He touched it and jumped about a foot in the air. It was as thick as glue and his hand dragged slowly through it. Suddenly he felt a hand touch his back. He turned around suddenly but nothing was there. He poked the gooey air and felt a stab at his back. Then once again he had a dreadful moment of realisation. This was where the real Harry was, under a trance.
*plays mission impossible music for effect* da da da da, da da da, da da da da, da da da, da da da da...

welcome kay-jay-potter! calm down dear *pets* here's the next post: Harry shivered at thought of him kissing Cho Chang about 3 inches away from him. But he did the only thing he could think of; he stepped into the smoky glue-like air. It was immensely difficult but he dragged himself through and suddenly felt his stomach lurch, his vision dazed and spun worse than ever. After a few moments he felt pressure on his lips and opened his eyes. He was kissing Cho Chang. He stood still and then lunged backwards away from her. She looked at him and said sweetly:
“What’s wrong Harry?”
“You sick twisted bi*ch!” He said and her eyes widened. He didn’t look at her in case he went back into a trance. Before she could say anything he turned and ran to the Gryffindor common room.
Fortunately Hermione was the only one back from dinner and he immediately explained what had happened. Her eyes grew wider with every sentence until she said:
“That’s it we’re going to see Dumbledore, we should have done that ages ago come on!”
They sprinted to Dumbledore’s office and spent five minutes guessing the password (toffee apple). After knocking they barged in and burst out everything that had happened. He listened until they’d finished the story and then smiled.
“I understand the urgency of the problem but can you give me a minute that was rather sudden and unexpected.”
Harry and Hermione sat and waited for Dumbledore to stop thinking.
“Alright!” He said suddenly and they both startled. He smiled again at the exhausted pair and continued.
“I will have a talk with Miss Chang about this complicated situation and will get back to you both tomorrow morning. Once again I say you should have come to me sooner, I know one of you in particular has a certain fondness for sorting out their own problems…” He looked Harry in the eye and both smirked. Dumbledore nodded at them as though saying they could leave and they slowly retreated back to the common room.
