All right...... here is my post. I'm not sure how I did with it, so please tell me what you think.

Chapter 7: Peter's Task

Peter apparated into a dark and murky room. Severus Snape sat there leering at him. "Hello Peter," he said in that oily voice of his, “I assume that you are wondering why you are here."

"Yes, replied Peter, with hatred in his voice. Oh, how he loathed Severus Snape, yet he was forced to be polite because Snape was the dark lord's favorite.

"Now, Peter," said Snape, "You must not be rude. Would you want me to tell the dark lord of your behavior?"

"I doubt that he will care about my behavior, Snape," Peter replied.

"Actually Wormtail, I do care," Voldemort answered as he entered the room.

"Sir, I am sorry. I didn't know that you were here," Peter replied as he kissed Voldemort's feet.

"UP YOU SCUM!" Voldemort yelled. "You are not worthy to kiss the ground I stand on. However, there is a way that I can make use of you."

"Really! What do you have in mind my lord?" asked Peter, "Because I would be delighted to do any task that you give to me."

"Good!" replied Voldemort, "Because you will be responsible for the murder of one of your best friends and his wife."

Peter trembled, knowing Voldemort meant James. This was not something that he wanted to do, but he know that denying Voldemort would lead to his demise; so he agreed.

"Well, dear Severus here, came across some information that is of great value to me," Voldemort started.

"Snape! Of course Snape! Who is more precious than dear Snivellus!?!" thought Peter.

Peter had forgotten that Snape could perform Legilimency, until he found Snape facing him, with Snape's wand pointed directly at his face.

"Crucio!" Snape shouted with hatred in his voice. The pain was unbearable, and Peter screamed. Snape did not relent for what seemed like hours.

"All right, Snape that's enough," Voldemort stated calmly. Snape returned his wand to his pocket.

Voldemort turned to Peter and said, "Wormtail, in the future, I hope you have a little more respect for Snape. If you ever give Severus a reason to harm you again, be warned, I will not stop him."

"Now, Peter," Voldemort continued, "Severus luckily came across a seer and heard a very interesting prophecy; this prophecy was made to Dumbledore. Exactly what it said is unimportant, but this is........ James, Lily, and their baby must be killed. And I need you to help me Wormtail. Dumbledore will do everything in his power to protect them. Which means that he will probably use the Fidelius Charm....... do you know what that is, Wormtail?"

"Yes, Master," he replied untruthfully.

"Really, then please explain it Wormtail," Voldemort demanded.

Peter knew that he shouldn't have lied. "Well......," he began,"Um..........you see......... it's a very complicated..........."

Voldemort cut him off. "Don't lie to me Peter! You have no idea what it is!" Voldemort stated dangerously, as Snape snickered.

Voldemort explained to Peter, "The Fidelius Charm is an immensely complex spell. It involves a magical concealment of a secret inside a single, living soul. I won't be able to find them unless the secret-keeper tells me. So Peter, your task is to become the Potter's secret-keeper. Do everything in your power to persuade them. Now go! You mustn't be late for the meeting of the Order of the Phoenix."

"Yes, my lord," Peter replied, as he turned to leave.

"And Peter!" Voldemort yelled across the room, "Do not fail me!"

"No, I won't my lord," he said. Then apparated to the current headquarters, which happened to be Dumbledore’s summer home, a small cabin in the center of the Forbidden Forest.

Chapter 8: Secret Keeper


After the meeting, Dumbledore pulled James and Lily aside.

"James, Lily, I regret to tell you that you are in grave danger," Dumbledore stated. "Voldemort has heard a prophecy..."

"Involving us? James asked.

"Yes," Dumbledore replied. He pulled out a piece of parchment, and handed it to Lily. It read:

The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches
Born to those who have thrice defied him,
Born as the seventh month dies
The Dark Lord will mark him as his equal
But he will have power the Dark Lord knows not
And either must die at the hand of the other
For neither can live while the other survives
The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches
Born as the seventh month dies

"Oh my gosh! Harry!" Lily exclaimed. She quickly lifted her baby boy, and held him close.

James snatched the piece of paper from Lily, and re-read it several times. "Are you sure it means Harry?" he asked. "There must have been hundreds of wizard babies born in July."

"Not in July, James," Lily said. "At midnight on July 31st."

"Oh my," James said, as he plopped into a chair.

"Yes, and now that Voldemort has that information he will be sure to come after you and," he stated gravely, "there is more: Recent information shows that we have a spy in our midst."

"What? Who?" James asked, "What sort of scum would work for Voldemort?"

"We don't know," Dumbledore said. "But, we do know that it is someone very close to you. Therefore, I am going to perform the Fidelius Charm on your house."

Lily gasped. "Is our situation really that dire?" she asked.

"Unfortunately, Lily, it is," Dumbledore replied. "Now," he continued, "Who would you like to be your secret keeper?"

Immediately, James replied, "Sirius."

"Yes," Lily agreed, "he is the one person who we trust completely, and he would never betray us."

"All right," Dumbledore said uneasily. "If that is what you wish..."

Tears slowly began to stream down Lily's face. "Do we have to leave immediately?" she asked.

"I know that leaving everyone will be extremely hard, but it must be done. However, Voldemort is not planning to strike immediately," Dumbledore replied. "Actually, he hasn't heard the entire prophecy, and we are going to prevent him from doing so. Therefore, I am giving you time to say farewell to all of your friends, and set all of your affairs in order. Also, that should give you some time to get yourselves acquainted with Sirius's daughter. You will not have to go into hiding until beginning of next October; that gives you a little over a year."

"Thank you sir," Lily said, "for everything."

"Wait a minute! Sir, what do you mean?" James asked, "Sirius's baby hasn't been born yet."

"Ah, Mr. Potter," Dumbledore smiled. "You and Mrs. Potter might want to apparate to the hospital."

"Come on James!" Lily screamed with glee," Let's go!"

All right, I'm posting again because that one seemed very short.

Chapter 9: Hallie Marie Black

James and Lily apparated, with Harry, to the St. Mungo’s, where they were met by Remus and Camey.

Remus ran up them and asked, "How did you guys know that we were here?"

"Dumbledore told us," Lily replied.

"But how did he know?" Camey asked.

"Duh!!!! It's Dumbledore!" James replied.

"You're right, stupid question......" her voice trailed off.

Violet handled things very different than Lily had. Pain was evident on her face, yet she did not scream. And she did not seem to feel any hostility towards Sirius either; she kept telling him that she loved him because she knew that the pain would soon be over, and then she'd have a wonderful daughter to shower with love.

An hour later a Sirius emerged into the waiting room, and of course, Peter was no where to be found. Sirius led them into the same hospital room that Lily and Harry had shared. Sirius picked up his smiling baby girl and said, "Everyone, I would like to introduce you to my daughter: This is Hallie Marie Black."

Much like Sirius had when Harry was born, a look of utter disgust crossed Lily's face. She turned to Sirius and said, "Why didn't you name the baby after me?"

Everyone laughed, but Sirius just scowled.

"Anyway," Sirius said, "Prongs you are going to be her godfather because Moony is too stubborn about his furry little problem."

"Thanks Padfoot," James said, "So I win by default? Real flattering."

"James! Shut up!" Lily said. They still would constantly fight, just like when they were in school; but that was half the fun.

Violet spoke up, "Now Camey, don't be offended, but I want Lily to be Hallie's godmother."

"No, no! I'm not offended. Actually, this works out perfectly!" Camey exclaimed. "I'm Harry's godmother, Lily is Hallie's godmother, and that means Vi can be my baby's godmother!"

"Your baby?" Vi asked.

"Wait! Camey are you pregnant too?" Lily asked.

"No! No!" Camey exclaimed. “I just meant that when I do have a baby (which will be a time in the far, very far, future) then Vi can be its godmother."

"Oh," Remus replied with a look of relief on his face.

Changing the subject, James sat Harry down on the bed with Hallie. "These two need to get acquainted, if they are going to be the future us at Hogwarts," James told Sirius.

"Well," said Lily. "I'm all for them becoming friends. But, Vi and I are going to do everything in our power to make sure they don't turn out like you!"

James and Sirius put on looks of deep hurt while Remus laughed. "The world isn't ready for another James and Sirius!" he said.

The adults (Sirius and James included in that category, for once) watched the two children play for hours. Everyone could tell that the two would become best friends (much like James and Sirius). They all marveled at how perfect life was at this moment, and they dreaded what was to come, the moment they left this room.

Aww, maybe some day they'll fall ing love. "Be still my beating heart."

Actually, Hallie is going to be in my other fanfic..........my other one is about Harry when he is 18, and he learns about his past. So, Lupin tells him about a lot of events that go along with this fanfic.

Hey all! I'm back from my weekend vacation. I promise that I will post later today. And after this fanfic is over, I'm gonna do a sequel........ It'll be called "When You Say Nothing At All". I've already started writing it, but I'm not going to submit it until after this fanfic is over.

Just so you know........ Sirius, Vi, Camey, and Remus had moved back into their apartments at this point.

Chapter 10: Lily's News

James and Lily were waiting for their guests to arrive; it was Halloween and they were throwing their annual party. Lily picked up Harry, and he squealed with delight.

"James!" Lily called.

"Yes, darling?" James asked coming into the kitchen.

"Look at our son! Can you believe that he will be 4 months old in 2 days?"

"I know!" James replied, “He is getting to be so big! He is going to be daddy's little quidditch player when he grows up."

"God Prongs!" Sirius came in with Vi and Hallie. "Starting the brainwashing already!?! This poor kid is never going to think about anything but quidditch if you have it your way!"

"Exactly Padfoot!" James smiled.

Harry screamed, "Hai (sounds like hi)!" when he saw Hallie. Lily set him and Hallie down in the crib to play.

Finally Lupin and Camey arrived, but with bad news.

"Guys! We have to go now!" Remus called. "Dumbledore has called an urgent meeting!"

At once they all apparated to the headquarters.

Vi and Lily went into the kitchen; Alice Longbottom was putting Neville into a playpen.

"Oh my god! Alice we haven't seen you forever!" Lily exclaimed, hugging Alice.

"Yeah, not since graduation at least! How are you and Frankie doing?" asked Vi.

Alice replied, "We are really good, actually, considering the state of Britain. I can't believe I haven't seen you in almost three years! Are you guys good?"

"Yes, we're all fine," Vi replied.

"Yes we’re really happy, and Alice you need some introductions: This is Harry, my son," Lily said pointing to her son. "And this is Hallie, Vi's daughter," Lily said as she pointed to the little girl.

"Well this is Neville," Alice said, "and he will be four months old in a couple of days."

"Really?" Lily asked, "When was he born?"

"July 31st."

"Wow; that's amazing! So was Harry!"

"That's quite a coincidence. The three of us should get together more often; then our children could have some friends to play with," Vi suggested.

"Sure," Alice agreed. "After all, they will be in the same year, at Hogwarts."

"Yeah, that's a great idea, and it’s been wonderful chatting with you; but I think we better get to the meeting now," Lily replied.

Dumbledore spoke up, "I'm sorry to inform you that Voldemort has taken over southern Britain. Last night, he personally murdered Fabian and Gideon Prewett."

The room, at large, gasped.

Dumbledore continued, "You are all to continue your missions. However now, more than ever, it is important to use the utmost caution and secrecy. That concludes our meeting; please enjoy your Halloween."

Lily was in hysterics. "James! Voldemort is getting more powerful! We're in danger! Harry's in danger! What are we supposed to do?"

"Lil, calm down!" James urged. "There is nothing we can do, except to fight him and protect our son."

He continued, as he pulled her into a hug. "Lily, don't worry! I will always be here to protect this family."

At that Lily raced to the bathroom and threw up.

James started to panic. "Lily what's the matter? Do you need to go to the hospital?"

Lily came out, and she was shaking. "No, James; but there is something that I have to tell you."

She tried to say it, but she was too nervous. That made James extremely uneasy.

"What is it? Are you sick?" he asked.

She started to sob, "No, I-"

His voice was low as he suggested, "You are cheating on me?"

Lily was outraged, "JAMES HENRY POTTER! How could you think such a thing?"

"Sorry............... I mean....................... you were so upset........... I thought.............."

"James, honey, it's not like that,” Lily said, “...... It's................I'm.................I'm pregnant."

OMG!! Lily is pregnant AGAIN?! That post was hilarious! Keep up with the great work!

Chapter 11: Hannah Lily Potter


James had been silent for what seemed like an eternity; this made Lily nervous, she expected him to have some sort of reaction. "James, darling, are you alright?" she asked.

"Yes..............I think...........no.........I'm.........I'm going to be a........."

"Yes, James, you are going to be a father again," Lily replied.

"Oh my god!" James replied. "Is it a boy or a girl?"

"A little girl," Lily said. "Harry is going to have a sister!"

James smiled and wrapped his arms around Lily. "So, what are we going to name her?"

(This next part is in late November)

Violet, Sirius, and Hallie were out side playing in the snow. Sirius looked over at his girls; Violet was trying to teach Hallie how to make a snow angle. Sirius had never seen anything so beautiful.

"Violet, do you want to get married?" Sirius asked.

"Well, that depends; are you proposing?" Vi answered, tickling Hallie.

"Sort of........ well, I mean.............I love you...........and we have a Hallie. Do you think we should be married?"

"I love you too, Sirius," Vi said. "But we don't need to get married to prove it..................and honestly, I'm not sure if I'm ready for a life long commitment."

"All right then.........." Sirius said, sounding a little disappointed.

"And Sirius, you don't just ask a girl to marry you, out of the blue. It should be planned and romantic........keep that in mind," she said with a wink.

Sirius smiled at her knowingly.

"Can you get Hallie dressed?" Vi asked as they walked back into the house. "We are supposed to be at James and Lily's in 5 minutes."

Harry was shrieking, because he had just tripped and fallen, and Lily was trying to calm him down, so James answered the door. The moment Harry saw Sirius, he stopped crying; Sirius went over, and picked Harry up, and Harry began to giggle.

"OHHHHH! Look! Padfoot is so good with babies! Who would have ever thought that he was such a softy?"

"Oh, shut it Prongs!" Sirius replied, and Harry gurgled.

Just then, Remus and Camey entered the room, looking glum.

“Has someone died?” James asked.

“That’s not funny!” Lily reprimanded.

"We just lost our jobs at the ministry!" Remus exclaimed. "We were absent too much, and we obviously couldn't explain that we were on a mission from the order...........so they let us go."

"Yeah........... the same thing happened to Sirius and me," Vi said.

"This is great!" James said, "We are now all unemployed!"

"Well, James it may be great for you, but not all of us have a family fortune to spend," Camey said impatiently.

"Oh My Gosh!" Lily exclaimed, "I have the most brilliant idea!"

Sirius and James rolled their eyes, but luckily Lily didn't see them.

"Why don't all of you move in with us?" she asked.

"What!?!" Sirius asked.

"Lily! You must be joking!" Remus said.

"No! I'm serious."

"Actually I'm Sirius!" Sirius stated pointing at himself.

"Shut up, Padfoot!" James sighed. "I agree with Lily," he said. "We have plenty of rooms, and supplies to support us all. And say if Sirius and Vi are on a mission, it won't be difficult to watch Hallie."

"And god knows I'll need help with Harry and Hannah," Lily said.

"Who's Hannah?" Camey asked. Lily clapped her hands over her mouth.

"Well, I was going to surprise you guys............. but, I'm pregnant!"

Violet and Camey screamed, while Remus and Sirius smirked.

"God James!" Sirius said, “You can't keep your hands to yourself for a minute, can you?"

"Sirius Black! What and insensitive thing to say!" Vi said as she slapped him on the arm.

They all just laughed. It took some persuading, but finally they all agreed to move into the Potter Mansion.

Hey everyone! I'm soooooooo sorry that I didn't pot yesterday! But some stuff came up, and I didn't have time. I'm sorry, but here is the next chapter.


Chapter 12: Christmas Eve

A week before Christmas, everyone moved into the Potter mansion. Vi arrived first, with Hallie. Hallie and Harry enjoyed watching the grown-ups make a fool of themselves, trying to move the luggage.

Sirius came in, trying to carry a couch by himself. Harry saw Sirius and yelled,"PADDY!"

Sirius was so shocked that he dropped the couch on his foot, and started cursing.

The girls covered their children's ears while screaming, "Sirius! Watch your language!"

When Sirius calmed down, he asked, "Was that Harry's first word?"

"Wow Sirius, a bit full of yourself aren’t you?" Lily replied. "He has been saying shorter words for quite some time now." She turned to Violet and asked, "But isn't it a little early for him to be speaking? I mean he's only 6 months old."

"No, that's perfectly normal; wizarding children tend to start speaking at about that age," she replied.

James came into the room and said, "Padfoot! Guess what Harry's first word was?"

"Ummmm......... Daddy?"

"No," Lily replied, rolling her eyes.

"It was 'quidditch'!" James said with delight.

Sirius sighed, and looked at Lily with sympathy. "I should have known!"

"But it sounded more like 'kitt-idtch'," Lily replied.

Lily suddenly stood up, and rushed to the bathroom; the sound of her throwing up could be heard through out the house. When she came out she looked at James with the deepest loathing.

"What's the matter darling?" James inquired.

"I have morning sickness! And it's your fault!" Lily replied snappily.

"I'm sorry Lil," James said quietly.

"No, I'm sorry," Lily replied. "I shouldn't have snapped at you; it's not your fault. Uh, I hate mood swings," she mumbled.

"Well, Lily, think of it this way," Sirius said. "You have Hannah's whole life to get back at her."

"Sirius!" Lily exclaimed, "That's not nice! It's not her fault either!"

Vi said in a soothing voice, "Are you ok?"

"Yes," Lily said softly, "But, this baby is most definitely a girl!"

"How can you tell?" Sirius asked.

"Because this pregnancy is so different than my other. I'm sick more, the throwing up is more severe, and I'm having more mood swings than I did with Harry. It's just like when Vi had Hallie."

Lily groaned, and turned to James. "This is definitely going to be our last child. I can't go through this ever again."

Desperate for a change of subject, James looked around. He spotted the couch he asked, "Sirius why would you bring your couch? All of our rooms are completely furnished!"

"James! Don't you remember this couch?" Sirius asked.

"Oh my god! This isn't.............is it?" James replied.

"Yes!" Sirius said with a smirk.

"What?" Lily asked.

James returned Sirius's smirk. "We have had lots of memories on this couch."

"Yep!" Sirius said, "My first kiss"

"My first french kiss," James chimed in, "And if I remember correctly, wasn't Hallie created on this couch?"

"Yep!" Sirius said. Lily giggled, and Violet scowled at Sirius.

Camey and Remus came in a little while later.

Harry yelled, "Lu-Lu!"

Lily picked him up, but Harry yelled, "NO MUMMY! LU- LU!"

"James, who is he calling?" Lily asked, as she handed Harry over to her husband.

"Say it again, Harry," James said.

"LU-LU!" Harry yelled.

Sirius and James smirked. "He is trying to say Lupin!" Everyone snickered.

Remus scowled at James, “Did you teach him that?”

“No, but I wish I had,” James replied, laughing.

Remus sighed and took Harry. "Now Harry, I'm not Lu-Lu. Can you say Moony?"

Harry yelled, "NO! Lu-Lu!"

Again, everyone laughed. Lupin sighed, and said to Sirius, "Well, he calls you 'Paddy'!"

"But, that's not as bad as Lu-Lu!" Sirius managed to get out through his chuckling.

All of a sudden Hallie started screaming random syllables. This worried everyone until.............. she said, "LLLLLLL...................... UUUUUU.......... LU! Lu-Lu!"

Lupin tried to teach them how to say Moony. But after two hours of failed attempts, they called it a night and went to bed.

On Christmas Eve Day, Lily and Remus were in the kitchen. They were the only ones who could cook, so they were left to prepare the Christmas feast.

James and Sirius bundled up Harry and Hallie, and took them out to chop a tree. They let the children pick the tree, and of course they picked the biggest and the fullest.

Vi stood out in the cold, watching them and taking pictures of the boys and their children. And Camey was inside making two photo albums. One was of the Marauders and Flowers at school, and the other was of Harry and Hallie; and Hannah would be added when she was born.

Everything was prepared for the feast tomorrow, so Remus and Lily decided to help everyone else put decorations on the tree. They looked back, it was a spectacular tree! But there was one thing missing.

Lily rushed up to the attic and took out a box that had been her mothers. She lightly picked up the angel that Mr. Evans had given to Mrs. Evans, just after Lily was born. The angle greatly resembled Lily.

Lily wept at the memory of her parents; they had been killed by Voldemort, simply because they were her parents. She also began to think of her baby sister, Petunia. She hadn't seen or heard from Petunia in two years; Petunia hated her. This made Lily cry as well.

James found Lily and scooped her up into a hug. She whispered, "James, I'm so scared!"

Lily looked at his face, and it too showed fear. "Lily," he said, "I will always protect you."

He dried her tears and brought her back down stairs. Seeing Lily’s expression, they all scooped her into a big group hug; and Lily thought about how lucky she was to have all of these friends, who truly cared about her.

She handed Harry the angel. James lifted him up, and he put it on the upper most branch. When Harry came back down he pointed to the angel and said, "Mummy!"

James held his son and said, "Yes, your mother is an angel."

None of them knew how, but every one of them knew that they wouldn't be around much longer; so they decided to make the most of this Christmas, because they knew it would be the last that they all spent together.
