My fic was almost closed because of the spamming (and that would be a bummer seeing as there are only about 3 chapters left), but Cat decided to give us another chance (which I greatly appreaciate), so I'd just like to remind everyone of some of the basic rules:

Chapter 40: "This is just so unfair!" "I know, but who said life was fair?"

The July air was quite warm; Harry, Hallie, and Hannah were outside playing.

James and Lily were finally home. It had taken them a month, but they managed to retrieve Pandora’s box from the death eater’s clutches, just narrowly escaping Voldemort for the third time. Dumbledore, of course had found a way to destroy Pandora’s box, and all of its contents, so that mankind would never again be threatened by its horrors.

Remus was shut up in his room at the Potter Mansion; he had refused to come out since Camey’s funeral, a little more than a month previously.

Sirius was simply wracked with guilt. After another fruitless attempt to get Remus out of his room, he sat on the grass and stared at the sky.

Lily turned to Vi. “Is he going to be all right?”

Vi sighed, “I hope so; he just feels so responsible for what happen to Camey.”

“That’s absurd,” Lily replied.

“I know,” Vi said. “I’ve told him that, but I can’t seem to get through to him. I don’t think anyone will….not even James.”

“That’s it!”

“What’s what?” Vi asked, confused.

“James!” Lily exclaimed to Vi. She turned towards her husband, who was placing Harry on a miniature broomstick. “James,” she called. “Come here!”

Hey everyone! I only have a short part of the chapter for you, because I have a ten page paper due tomorrow for English (and of course I put it off until today), and I still have 3 pages to write. In this itty bitty piece of the chaper, we'll be going into Camey's past a little, and you'll see even more of her home life, in my next post.

Oh and Amie, I added more Harry cuteness for you.

Anyways, I hope you all like this bit:

Part Two:

“What?” James called back to Lily.

She pointed to Sirius, and mouthed ‘go talk to him’.

James nodded; he pulled Harry off the broom and placed him next to his sister. “Daddy will be right back, okay Harry?”

“But I want kitt-idtch!” Harry whined.

“I know, but I promise we’ll play quidditch when I come back, ok?”

“Okay daddy,” Harry replied.

James walked over to Sirius, and sat down beside him. “What’s up, mate?” he asked.

Sirius sighed.

“Come on Sirius, speak. What’s wrong boy? Do you want a stick?” James picked up a stick and threw it across the yard. “Come on Padfoot, go get it!” James exclaimed.

“Really funny, James,” Sirius said sarcastically.

“Come on Sirius, you’re not acting like yourself. Please, just talk to me,” James said.

“I don’t want to talk, I don’t want to do anything; I don’t deserve to do anything.”

“What are you on about?” James asked.

“Remus is depressed, and broken-hearted, and it is all my fault.”

“How is that your fault?”

“Because Camey died, she died trying to save me; she jumped in front of Bella’s curse. James, what was she thinking?” Sirius asked.

James sighed. “She was thinking about one of her best friends, who didn’t deserve to die." James paused, and began again. "Camey was thinking about Violet, who wouldn’t be able to live without her husband; and she was thinking of Hallie, who didn’t deserve to loose a father.”

“I promised her, James, I promised her that we would take care of her.” Sirius thought back to a day, almost six year ago.

He and the others had just finished their 4th year at Hogwarts. Sirius was staying at the Potters and he had just arrived, when Camey’s owl bolted into the room.

Sirius took the note from the owl, and it flew off immediately.

The letter read: Sirius, James, I need your help and I don’t have time to explain. My parents are away, but only for an hour. I’m trapped in the basement of my house, and I need to leave before they come back. Please hurry!
