Hey everyone! For those who don't know, I'm Jess and Amelia Rose is my school RPG charrie, of whom has become a part of me. Therefore, because of certain people on here (Gracie, Dani, Whit,..) I have decided to start a diary for her. Of course, I must also thank Ashlee who set the precedent for these diary stories! <3 Without further ado, I present to you, Amelia Rose!

August 1, 2065
My first journal ever, which I know must seem odd as I am 17 now. Yea – I can’t believe it either! Guess I should start with a basic introduction, eh? Well, I’m Amelia Mae Rose, but most people just call me Mia or Amelia. As mentioned before, I just turned 17 and I am a witch, which means that I can now legally do magic outside of Hogwarts! –parties- So my birthday was actually today, and I got this neat little journal thing from my mum. She said something about it being tradition for witches in her family to get a journal when they turn of age. Whatever! (I’d like to see hers though –snickers-)

Right, so it’s been a bit since school let out for the summer. I just finished my sixth year, which I can hardly believe! Oh and I forgot to mention, I was Prefect during my fifth and sixth year for my house Hufflepuff – absolutely the BEST house ever. Seriously, I love my badgers so much and will miss them most when I graduate.

I play quidditch too. And I think I rock pretty hardcore at it. Can’t say that I didn’t learn anything from my overbearing older brothers, Andrew and Alex… gosh, I miss them! Never thought I’d say that. But back to quidditch; I’m a chaser at heart, but I’ve played all the positions. Though I’m no seeker the way my brother Alex was – he was amazing!

Oh no! I’ve been writing too long… I hear my friends calling up to me now, something about more birthday celebrations. –rolls eyes- Honestly, I’m 17 – what’s the big fuss about? I should apparate on their heads… Anyway, better go!

Five minutes left of my birthday and wow! Overall, for a seventeenth birthday, it was pretty uneventful with the exception of one thing. Marco. Marco Denver. Yea, you remember him? Of course not, you’re a book. Marco was the Slytherin Quidditch Captain, who graduated last year. Alright I admit it, maybe I had a slight crush on him – but it was nothing, honest! Although if you saw us at his championship game in the stands… uh never mind. I’m happy for him and his new wife and baby, honest.

Back to Marco; you would never believe what he sent me for my birthday! Well, maybe you would, but anyway… That boy sent me replica quidditch robes for the Magpies, since he is their new keeper. Yea, talk about expensive. But the thing that concerns me most is why he would spend so much on me, when he has a wife and baby to feed? I don’t know.

Anyway, enough Marco talk, I’m going to sleep. Taking my apparitions test tomorrow at the Ministry!

Personally, I think you're on the right track. Most people would write about things they want to think about, or remember, in a journal/diary.

Going off Grace's comment; Yeah, some of the things that happened in DA to/with Mia should probably get a mention. You could even have something about how Mia wants to know what Rhiannon's hiding, if you wanted. I'll let you have that much.

Wow! So as you know, I turned seventeen yesterday which means that today I got to go to the Ministry and take my Apparitions test. And let me tell you – at the ministry, it was quite the ordeal. But first let me tell you about my birthday yesterday before I move onto the Ministry matters today.

A few friends from school actually surprised me with a mini party in the afternoon, which of course wasn’t just for me. Actually, I still think that the party was more for the other person sharing my birthday – Miss Alexis Chosen, who turned fifteen, and is therefore exactly two years younger than me. Still hard to believe that the hyperactive, candy-obsessed Gryffindor, who is the best friend of Savannah, shares MY birthday! Of course, she simply stole it since I was born first, but whatever. Anyway, even though Lexi isn’t reading this (and will never) – Happy 15th Lex! Hope your day was as fabulous as mine!

Now onto the moment you’ve all been waiting for: my experiences at the Ministry! The short version would just be to say that I passed, but naturally I have more to say on the subject. First, I entered through the visitor’s entrance and we had to go through all these levels of security… *rolls eyes*… it was quite annoying with the wand check and then getting a temporary ID badge. Honestly though, what kind of trouble do they think a seventeen year old girl who was prefect for two years will cause? Aren’t they supposed to be trained wizards!?

So once I finally go through security measures then I made my way through to the lifts. Transportation – level 6 – where I was due to meet with a Mr Nettings. Finally making it to the test center, the first step was to fill out some silly application form. Of course it was my first time! Duh; I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t… But then even after the application, he continued to ask me more weird questions. Thankfully, even through freaking out a little, I managed to make it through the questioning. Which brings us to the practical part of the process. Oh you have no idea how nerve-wracking it is to be standing there with a scrutinizing eye watching you – waiting for you to apparate into the hoop. And then he carefully inspects the area to be sure of no splinching. I admit that if it wasn’t for the Drooble’s chewing gum to both distract me and keep me focused on the three D’s, then I might not have passed. But all is well that ends well, and I DID pass! I can now legally apparate!

So it’s been awhile since I have written in here, which I utterly apologize for. Between preparing to head to Diagon Alley for the rest of the summer and then practicing flying, I have been quite a busy seventeen year old. Besides the fact that my mother is constantly hounding me not to abuse my apparition privileges, which I wasn’t! Okay, so I admit it; I did abuse it during my first few days when I apparated into the kitchen from my bedroom and vice versa. But it was nice not having to walk, and you’d do it too just because you could, right? Though now I’m quite good about only apparating when needed – like long distances – except when I want to annoy my brother, but ssh! Mom doesn’t need to know about that…

Oh yea and I probably should have written last week, but I have some interesting news… All I have to say is that everyone will be in for a shock when they hear. Last week, I received a letter from the Headmistress similar to the one I got two years ago for my Prefect badge. Shocked – I looked carefully to discover that there was no prefect badge. That’s right, this 17 year old is no prefect anymore! For she is leading the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team to victory this term – as captain!

Anyway, got to go finish packing… I’ll write as soon as I get the chance in Diagon Alley.

It appears the visit to Diagon Alley was more chaotic than I had hoped. While I didn’t need a whole lot of supplies since it was my seventh year and I had almost everything from previous years, it never heard to browse around – see familiar old faces and meet new ones. Where to start…

Iggy. Yes – he’s a good place to start. Ignatius Potter, or Iggy, is a transfer student from being home schooled. He is quite an interesting fellow, since he is in my year. It was when I was walking in the streets, this strange boy BUMPED into me! Completely rude, if you ask me, but then he offered to buy me a drink to make up for it. While I admit to being slightly offended, I accepted anyway. He was kind of cute after all. In our chattering, I discovered a couple things: 1) he’s the manager for Marco Denver at the Magpies 2) he likes the color pink 3) he is incredible good looking.

Rhiannon. We managed to talk a small amount in the streets, before being interrupted, but I’ll explain by whom in a little bit. For now though I’ll leave it at how secretive she seemed in talking. Especially when Josh Moonson, the seventh year slytherin came by and instantly she sprung up to go talk with him. I swear something is going on between those two, although neither one would admit it – at least at this point. Oh well, I’ve got my eye on them, whether they like it or not.

Cale Thornton. Another accidental meeting in Diagon Alley, which brings my total up to two for this year’s visit… but basically something of his “bounced” away and hit my foot. That was when we started talking and it turns out he likes plants. Too bad he’s a fifth year, because he also is quite the catch. Overall though he seems nice enough and might prove helpful to me with my formidable performance in Herbology.

Garret. Adorable first year boy, who I randomly met (catch a trend here?) in the streets. We talked for a bit and he was funny, especially when candy-boy, Heath came by, and he told his apparent young friend about how he had a girlfriend – the assistant in Madam Malkins. Yea it’s a bit strange, but cute at the same time. The disappointing part though was when he said he wanted to be in Slytherin – he’ll come around soon, hopefully.

Last, but certainly not least: Tancred “I-can’t-look-you-properly-in-the-eye” Adara. Yea that’s right, I saw him in Flourish and Blotts, when I happened to go in there just to hopefully pick up so new quidditch books. You could imagine my shock when I saw him, since this was the last place I expected to see my ex-boyfriend of almost a year. He had transferred to Durmstrang last year you see, which was for the most part the root of our falling out (and the fact that he lied to me and didn’t converse with me all that summer). I would have avoided contact with him all together if it wasn’t for the persistence and annoyance of Savannah Mae, who was employed in the shop as an assistant. Sweet girl and I love her, but sometimes she can totally butt into things that she shouldn’t. Either way, Tancred and I did talk (a small amount), and forgave each other. No real eye contact, but I told him that I needed more time – which basically gave him the okay to see other people. Oh yea and he’s coming back to Hogwarts for his final year – his choice now that he’s of age. But I have yet to find out his true reason for returning…

That basically wraps up Diagon Alley; I’ll write again sometime on the train or when I get to Hogwarts.
