She was starving so she had to run her way to the Great hall to grab some food. Just as she found a seat and started to get busy with her food, Freeze, her owl came shooting down towards her almost knocking her pumpkin juice. She was disappointed at the owl but then she noticed a package on where the owl was standing. No wonder the owl crashed for the package was just heavy. She pet the owl and gave her food to nibble and then her owl flew out of the hall.

She grabbed the package and checked it for details. There was no writings outside. She had a class and so she had to dash out of the hall, too. She ate as fast as she could and picked her things up. Via then dashed out of the hall carrying the package.

After the class, she headed to the Gryffindor dormitory, head over to her bed and eagerly opened the package. Two, Diaries? A red and yellow one. She smiled as she held on her hands the two lovely diaries. She flipped through the pages and a note fell from the red one. She picked the blue parchment and read.The name caught her eyes and she was so happy to know that, that is the reply to her letter. It was from Her sister.

Spence watched as her cousin got a package. Via was so rushed she didn't open it and she ran out of the hall. Spence was wondering what she had gotten but she had to go to class. Spence forgot about it during class. But afterwards, when she had nothing to do and was just thinking, it all came back. She wondered if it had been a response to her letter. Spence decided that if Via wanted to tell her she would. But something just caught her attention with that package. Something was defintly going to be interesting about that package but Spence had to keep her mind on other things.

Via found a chance to talk to her cousin and so she gave her the yellow diary intended for her. They were both so happy. Waving goodbye to her cousin, Via went back to the tower and sat on her bed. She opened the diary and grabbed her quill on top of her bedside table. She started her first entry.

Dear Diary,

Life is just full of surprises. Yes.

It had just been weeks when I met a cousin of mine. We were just so alike. Though, in some ways, we’re still two different people who grew up in the same world yet in different situations.

I grew up in the muggle world knowing I am a muggle. But unfortunately as I was on my first year at Hogwarts during the lesson on boggarts on our Defense against the dark Arts class, a mysterious figure came out of it. And as I turned it down using the correct spell, it became another one. That was my greatest fear then, I didn’t understand those hooded figures not until my Muggle Dad told me the truth in a letter.

"We are not your biological parents."

I can still remember that. It was hard for me to accept that but I’m glad I have learned how to deal with it. They’re still my family and I love them. I am still their one and only daughter. Nothing had changed since that day they had told me everything. I was pretty grateful they had cared for me… and that they still do.

And then last summer before the term started for my third year at Hogwarts, I met Spence… Well, Spence is my cousin on my mother side. Her real name's Spencer. I also got to meet our Aunt Zanna. She looked young, and she doesn’t like to be called Aunt so we just call her by her name. She’s the sister of my real mum.

And apart from meeting them, I just found out I had a sister and that I’ve been lost for a very long time.

I have some other things to attend to so i'll write something about her some other time.

Via had ran up to Spence earlier and had handed her a yellow diary. After saying thanks and running back to her own dormitory she wrote HER first entry.


Dear Diary,

This summer has had so many surprises. Yet they were good surprises, don't get me wrong. Me finding Via and then Zanna finding Nat. Then when we all met and found out we were all related some how. Nat and Via sisters. Then those two are related to me as cousins. And then all three of us are Zanna's nieces. I went from small family and only child that I knew of to two new cousins. See, one of my mum's sisters was not a witch that we knew of. She left when she turned 18. Aunt Zanna is a witch and loves it. My mum is a witch and hates it. Three completely different people all in one family. No wonder I grew up so messed up. Now school is calling and I have to go to it or lose points.


I'm called Spence. Though my mother, when provoked, calls me Spencer Bailey Novack and I have a story to tell.

Dear Diary,

I know it's a little bit late but then i just wanted to share that the night i went back to the girls dormitory at the Gryffindor tower, i was so sad to see the usual beds of my friend Kairi and my bestfriend Astrid. The sight really made me lonely.

I was sitting on my four poster bed right now with Mr. Doof. He's my teddy bear, Dad bought him for me last summer. He just knew I love stuff toys. Well, back to the topic. They left Hogwarts and i dunno why. They haven't told me why though or i might just have forgotten the reason.

Oh, and I haven't gone out of the castle eversince we arrived at Hogwarts either. I just dropped by the Professor of Care of Magical Creatures hut and that's the only time i had stepped my foot at the school grounds again. It was nice to be outside, yes.

I met a lot of new friends and it was really great. I met new Gryffindor first years and i just spotted the ghost of Gryffindor tower, Neary headless Nick. He visited the common room but then he disappeared again. I haven't got a chance to see and talk to him again.

And so i was curious about seeing Nick so i thought about checking the girl's bathroom. I was hoping to see Myrtle, she haunts the toilets. But i was unlucky she wasn't there when i checked. However, i met Jessica and Nancy in there and Spence also came in. We talked about alot of stuffs.

To tell you, Jessica and I went ghost hunting at daylight. haha, funny really. but then we wanted to know why the ghosts came back and so we called out for their names down at the entrance hall. No one had heard us so no one could say we were crazy out there pleading the ghosts to show up.

I've been down to Arithmancy class already. ANd as always i'm not good with it. It wasn't my favourite and it wasn't on my list of favourites though. I'm trying to work on it though.

I still have to attend classes and so i have to end it here today.

Dear Diary,

I have been so busy. I have been to class and already have homework do. All I have done is go to class, stay in my dorm, and go to the lake. I met this boy, Brandon. He, whew, is so hot. He is also Slytherin. It seems lately that Slytherins and Huffelpuffs have been getting on EXTREMLY well. First, Saku and Jack. Then Ruby and John. And now, hopefully, Brandon and me. I wonder about Via. She seems to not get out a lot lately. Hmm. Well, other than that not much has happened. Got a letter from Zanna and, probably grudgingly, from my mum. They say they are fine and work is also fine. Well, I guess I have to belive them. Well school beckons once more. Will add later.

Via sat a few meters away from the edge of the lake. She went down there with her new found friend John, a first year. she had so many thoughts on her mind today and perhaps their time in there wouldn't be enough to write everything. She opened her bag and brought out her red diary. Via laid her bag beside her and flipped through the diary.

She already written two entries. She wasn't always good in keeping track with diaries. And it shows that she had missed to write again the other day. Picking up her quill she dipped it in her ink and started scribbling again while she enjoyed the scenery and John was there.

Dear diary,

A lot of happenings already here at Hogwarts. Gryffindor's on the last place, the housepoints were changing very often and it seemed like all the other houses were eager to get hold of the cup this term.

I'm down here at the lake today. The scenery was perfect, it's so refreshing. And I'm here with John, a first year i met at the seventh floor corridor. He's a gryffie by the way. He had asked me to have a quick swim... and i don't even swim because I'm afraid i'll get drowned. To tell you the truth, he always flatters me.

I have submitted the homeworks except for history of magic. Haven't even started that one. I got 25 points from my muggle studies, and i think it will be my favourite subject this term. unfortunately i got no points at classes... My laziness to answer probably.

Oh... and i really wanted to share this incident. The bloody Baron actually talked to me and Jessica. I couldn't believe my luck but he wasn't always nice. He's too frank and i don't think i'll want to have a chat with him again. He actually called me stupid... he didn't know i was annoying him. And then Jessica disliked him i think. He was actually mean... i can't even explain the whole incidence here... (Jessica's a huffie)

As i was doing my homework alone at the study tables up at the tower, people had started to join me and was glad to meet another one. MArcus, he's a third year. And i grew interested with him coz he was homeschooled... he's got some interesting story. I'll hope i'll meet him again. (and i am not blushing right now)

And so Via had been missing to write on her journal. She had been busy with all the homeworks. As she plopped herself on the couch by the common room she brought out the red diary and started to write her entry...

Dear diary,

i'm really sorry i haven't got the chance to write back soon. i know it's been days since my last entry. I had to finish a lot of homeworks. I've been enjoying transfiguration so far. Professor Rider had kept the students lively for her class. She had fun activities like the homework maze and the firing range.

For the maze i was partnered with a sixth year ravenclaw named Elizabeth. I even kept her inside the maze for a long while and yet she didn't got angry with me. The firing range was just awesome, it was like playing darts but instead of throwing darts, arrows come from your wand.

OH.. to tell you the Hogsmeade trip is on again. I first met Elizabeth in there. And then I met a sweet first year named Shana. She was like a younger sister to me. Shana and I met Melanie along the way.
