Hey, in case you've been totally oblivious and haven't read the title or description, here's my poetry page. Most of it'll probably be Teen Titans related, as I find I can write poems about them best, though a couple might be different. Er, yeah, first poem's this one I wrote one time when I felt I needed an intoduction to my fanfiction, so I ended up with this. It's from Raven to Beast Boy, and it's title Myself.


When I look at you
I see myself

When I look at you
I see what I could have been
A funny, lovable person
Not the gothic freak
I’ve been forced to be

When I look at you
I see what I could have done
Show everyone
How I feel

I’m cursed with my powers
I’m not allowed
To have fun
To laugh
But you
You can do all those things
And more

Sometimes I feel
I’m living through you
My thoughts, acts, emotions
Have become yours

Without you
I would have died

Without you
Life would have no point

You give me a feeling
That I’m important
That I could make a change
For the good
Instead of the bad

If only you’d known
If only you’d been through
What I’ve been through
You would be able
To fully understand me

You’re the first person
Who didn’t judge me
By my looks
And acts

I was shunned by everyone
Thought to have no life

Technically, I don’t
But I’m trying to change that

When I look at you
I see my twin
Only that twin
Doesn’t have my problems
They have their own.

When I look at you
I can see that you’re struggling too
It’s not easy being green
It’s not easy being death pale

You have your problems
I have mine
When we put them together
The world seems to be crashing down

You’ve helped me more than you know
And I’ve probably helped you
More than I know

Through all these times
We’ve stuck together
We’re destined

You have shape-shifting abilities
I have telekinetic powers
Opposites attract
And help the other

Through all my problems
You’ve been there
To help me
To cheer me up
To make sure I got through it all
It’s my turn

I may not seem it
But inside
I’m a lot different
I’m a normal person
Just like you

When I look at you
I feel different

Hey, someone actually read my poem! I feel so special *smiles to herself* Here's my next one, this isn't Teen Titan related, I wrote it last night.

Different

What's wrong with me?
I didn't do anything wrong
So why do you have to punish me?

Everything is so hard
I pull a straight face and push through it all
Never showing how I really feel
Unless I'm alone
That's a different story

I know I break a lot of rules
I know I'm no angel
I'm just trying to be myself
But it's hard to be yourself
When yourself is different

I'm not like everyone else
One moment I'm happy
The next depressed
I wish I was normal
But I'm not

Why is everything always my fault?
Why do I have to do everything?

Sometimes I just wish I was dead
So I could be free of the pain
Of having the world on my shoulders
Sometimes I just wish I never existed
So this would never have happened

My life's been tough
Real tough
I've struggled
Though I've never showed it
Yet I still go on
I'll pull through
Somehow
Somewhere
I'll know why I was to do this
Why it was always me
And for once
I'll be satisfied

ello love im leah mae and thanks for relpying to my poetry now its my turn 2 things i have to say one is i used to wish myself dead too but it the end it wasnt worth all the pain your alive for a reason so try to life live through your pain and try to make it better everyone has pain we just in to learn how to get through it and second is DONT EVER WISH TO BE NORMAL is u were normal you would never be albe to write good poetry like you do now but anyway i liked them both so far so keep writing my love oh and btw ive posted three more poems lol anyway keep writing firelily aka leah mae

Wow, more people are actually reading it. This one's Teen Titan related, I wrote it yesterday in the middle of reading class to keep me awake, I have this thing of almost falling asleep in this class every day. It's right after Terra betrays them. Raven to Terra

Abuse

You think you can just waltz in here
Stealing our trust
And abusing it?

You think you can get away with everything you've done?
You can't
You've broken us
Ripped up
Betrayed us

We thought we knew you
But it was all a decoy
You were helping Slade
The whole enitre time

You were with Beast Boy
And he liked you
Maybe even loved you
And you chucked it down the drain
Cracing his heart
In half

Go run off with your pal Slade
You won't be welcomed back here
Ever again
We're through with you

Yeah, it's sorta pukey, that's what you get when you write poetry half-asleep.

Even though no one's responded back, or even looked at this lately I think, I'll go ahead and put this up anyway. I wrote it in bed last night, which is why it's so interesting. Starfire's POV about the events that went on during Date with Destiny. This is assuming that she know English normally, not her disjoined English.

So Close

When I first heard her name
I knew she was up to no good

When you agreed to go with her
I felt a loss I couldn’t explain
A different, new emotion
One I’d never felt before

I was told to investigate her
Yet I felt I couldn’t leave Robin’s side
So I went with him

When he saw me he was surprised
Maybe grateful
I knew he didn’t want to be with her
But he had to if he wanted to help

Then she came
Grabbed you from me
And declared it to the world
Another emotion rose up
Anger
And the new one
People were talking around me
I had to take my anger out
The first thing in sight:
Her pink limo

I watched you from the side
You got up to dance with her
How could you?
I thought you didn’t like dancing
Not with her at least
My anger rose again
And I found a name for my new emotion
Jealously

You came closer
I could hear you
Then you stopped
“In fact, I just don’t like you at all.”
The anger and jealousy fell away
Did this mean he really didn’t like her?

She pulled out a metal case
I knew it would destroy the city
He jumped at it, got it

When Fang arrived
I couldn’t help comparing him to Robin
“Get your hands off my girl.”
So she really didn’t like him!

I had to protect Robin
“Keep your legs off my boy!”
Did I just say that?
My boy?
Did Robin notice it?

Kitten said they were fighting over her
Robin would not fight for her
He would fight for me
She knew nothing about my Robin
There it came again
My Robin
I knew I had fallen for him
Full blast
And it was nice

We fought each other
Fighting over our boys
I pushed her down the table
She can’t take away Robin

Who knew a dress meant so much?
I’ve failed you Robin
She let them free
I tried to tell you that
But you had won
All hope was not lost

In one last attempt I knocked it out of her hands
“Consider yourself dumped.”
We had won
Robin and Starfire had won
It had a nice ring to it
Robin and Starfire

The lights circled
I feared another attack by Kitten
“And the king and queen of tonight’s prom are… Robin and Starfire!”
There it was again
Robin and Starfire

I looked at him
He wouldn’t dance with me
Why would he dance with me?
I had nearly destroyed the city he worked so hard to save
“I guess one more dance can’t hurt.”
Did he mean it?
He wanted to dance?
With me?

We revolved around
For the first time that night I felt safe
Safe in his arms
Kitten couldn’t pull us apart

I reached my head forward
He smiled
Held my hand
We leaned in
Pausing for a moment
My mind reeled
What I about to do that?
With Robin?
The man of my dreams?

He hesitated too
Maybe this wasn’t going to happen
He reconsidered
Leaned in

So close
He was so close to my face
Closer still
Time seemed to stop
Then we finally connected

Light

Dark
Mysterious
I'm all alone
No light entered my world

Confused
Stuck in an array of thoughts
I pushed through life

Never knowing where I was going
Or what I was doing
I kept on going
Knowing somewhere
Sometime
I'll be free of all this

One day
I'll show everyne who I am
Why I'm here
but for now
I'm that loner in the corner
Avoided by all
Watching everyone having fun
While unable to myself

Then you came along
A mysterious green light
Like a fly
I was unable to resist teh urge
To come look at you

You brought so much into my world
It's scary comparing them

I didn't want to love you
I can't love
But I couldn't help it
You humor brought light
Into my dreary soul

To you I give the light

Yea, I haven't updated in a while, I was thinking about just dumping this page and sorta leaving it here to slowly rot away into nothingness like my other one on TNM, but that's just because no one ever responds to anything and it's really boring there anyway, I like SS better.

w00t, here's my oh-so-wonderful update. It's a Raven POV (aren't most of them) but, again, it's a lot like me. Just sorta switch names from Raven to Jenn and change about five words and it's me. I'm too much like her, now I've even fallen for BB. This is part of my fanfic, I stole it from Part 4

Detour

It’s there in my way
A death, crime, anything
