This story is a story about love, hearts will break and friendships will be tested. You may just think this is just another Hermione and Harry story, but it isn’t. Hermione starts having feelings for Harry as Harry does for her. But Hermione’s with Ron and Harry’s with Ginny. It is a twisted love triangle (ok a square). This is in Hermione's point of view.

Chapter 1, The Beginning

“What am I going to do about this???” I thought while I walked around Grimmauld Place. I couldn’t get Harry out of my mind. “I’m with Ron!” I thought angrily to myself. Its not like I could tell anybody, if I told Ron he would dump me and never talk to me again, I couldn’t tell Ginny cause well Ginnys with Harry. If I told Harry, well things wouldn’t be the same between us. I felt lost and confused. We would be going back to Hogwarts for our 5th year at Hogwarts and Harry didn’t need this right no especially about what happened at the end of last year.

Harry kept having nightmares almost every night about the night that Cedric was killed and You-Know-Who was resurrected. I kept thinking to myself that I loved him but I didn’t want to cause I had Ron. I should be happy for once I actually had a bf. But I honestly wasn’t. I walked without realizing it and somehow my legs just took me exactly where I wanted to be. At Harry’s door I looked in and saw Harry there, just sitting obviously in deep thought.

He looked up and caught me staring “Hey Hermione, what’s going on?” he looked at me confusingly. “Oh nothing I…I was just wondering where you were” I said and gave him a honest smile. “Oh ok” he said then went back to thinking about who knows what.

At dinner, I had to hold myself back from trying to get a glimpse of Harry when I looked up, I saw him staring and then quickly looked down. Ok that was weird but then again Harry has been acting werid for a while.. Usually if I saw him looking or something he would smile. He looked…embarrassed. Iquickly finished dinner and went to bed. My dreams were filled with a green eyed, raven haired boy...

When I woke up I got up and walked downstairs to smell Mrs. Weasley cooking. Ginny and Harry were already awake but there was no sign of Ron who is obviously sleeping way in.

“Good morning” I said with a yawn.

“Good morning” they both said.

“Did you sleep ok Hermione? I heard you move a lot in your bed and you never do that?” Ginny asked me.

“I… um had a bad dream” I said convincingly.

“Oh ok I hope you didnt lose too much sleep obviously not or you'd be Miss. Cranky Pants,“ she said smiling and went back to eating.

After breakfast we went back to Harry and Ron’s room and on the way thought of ways to wake him up. We crept in and ran and jumped on Ron’s back.

“Ahhhhhhh get off me!!!” he said angrily. We laughed so hard that milk would have came out of out noses. He went to eat and we sat on the bed. Ginny looked at Harry and starts kissing him. Soon they were making out and it just hurt to much and walked back to me and Ginny’s room. I could never tell anybody ever.

Hi I hope you liked this first chapter of my story. This is my fourth FanFic and I hope you think its good. I'll probable post ether tommorow, or Tuesday.

Heya Elly! Your point of view is a bit confusing. Are you writing in third person or first? The story starts in third person; Hermione did this or that then changes to first person; I went back to my room. Your story would really benefit from some more attention to spelling and punctuation, too. There are beta readers offering their services in the Snitchseeker Beta Readers thread located in the FF Rules and Resources Forum.

Chapter 2, a Kiss That Shouldn’t Have Been

Later today, George and I watched Ron, Harry, Ginny and Fred play Quiddich, I never wanted to play Quiddich but it sure if funny when a girl “accidentally” throws the replacement for the Quaffle at her brother’s head and then he tries to throw it back and falls of his broom. “Nice going Ron! I bet Ginny’s real scared of you” I yelled to him after we had stopped laughing. After they had finally stopped playing and Ron stopped sulking about losing they went inside.

I looked at Harry and caught his eye and grinned. We kept eye contact till I bumped into a chair. We went and ate lunch; the table was filled with chatter from everybody except me. I was as silent as ever and only Harry seamed to notice. “I’m going to the bathroom (I know they call it something else in England but I can’t spell it) I said and left the room. Harry unknowingly was right behind me. I didn’t make it there without falling down and sobbing. I was sick of this. Harry and I could never be together cause: 1. He doesn’t care about me the way I do for him and 2: if we did we would hurt the people we love the most.

“Mione’, what’s upsetting you?” Harry said behind me helping me up. “I… I can’t tell you” I said to him avoiding his eye. “Come on it can’t be that bad” “It is” I said with tears falling from my eyes. “Hey there, there” he said and pulled me into a hug. I held on tight and breathed in his comforting smell. I quickly pulled away. “Let’s talk” he said and pulled me into the nearest room. We sat on a couch and he sat next to me. “Tell me what’s been bugging you? I mean you have been awfully quiet and have been acting different” he said and pushed my hair behind my ear. “Stop it please” I whispered, but he still heard. “Stop what?” he said with confusion and concern in his eyes. “Stop touching me, I can’t stand it anymore” I said and got up. “Huh???” he said and stepped off of the couch.

“What do you mean?” He asked not letting me go. “I can’t tell you” I told him. This was getting too hard. He was so close I could see the green in his eyes. “It’ll make you feel better if you tell me” he said. I couldn’t take it anymore and I leaned in and kissed him. His lips felt so good on mine, I had finally gotten all I wanted. I broke us apart and whispered “I’m sorry” and ran hearing him call me back. I ran into me and Ginny’s room and cried. “Hermione!” Harry said and banged on the door. “Come on please open the door” he said. “Leave me alone!” I yelled and he went away.

A few minutes later Ginny came in and I wiped the tears from my eyes, “Hermione, are you ok?” she asked me. “I’m just feeling a bit under the weather, I’m just going to sleep” I told her. “Ok I knew something was wrong, sleep well” she said and closed the door quietly. Not knowing I was crying over her boyfriend. I felt horrible, she was acting so nice to me and I had betrayed her and Ron. I cried myself to sleep and didn’t wake up until dinner time.

I walked downstairs after I silently brushed my hair. I had heard Mrs. Weasley calling for dinner and since I hadn’t had much during lunch I was starving. I walked in and sat down next to Ginny and smiled at her. “Feeling better, Hermione?” And I nodded. Harry and Ron came in from doing who knows what and Harry picked the chair right across from Ginny. Crap, he’s going to try and make me talk. Mrs. Weasley told us that she was going to go tomorrow to get our books and supplies in Diagon Alley. “So make sure you leave your lists out for me” she said looking at all of us and we nodded. Then we dug into the fantastic meal.

All through out dinner, Harry tried to catch my eye, but I couldn’t look at him. He wanted an explanation and he’s not going to stop until he gets one. Ron looked at me with concern because he thought I was sick, but I wasn’t. I had just betrayed him. When we finished, Harry was the first to get up and go upstairs. Then I got up, Ron got up too and walked me away from the others and leaned in for a kiss. “I’m sorry Ron, but I’m still sick and I don’t want you to get sick” I lied to him. “Ok, I guess another time” he said with disappointment. I went to me and Ginny’s room to read and ignore Harry.

When I got there Harry was waiting with his arms crossed, looking as handsome as ever. “Hermione” he said. “Harry” I said and pushed myself into my room and he tried to follow. “Harry, please just go away” I started to close the door but he shoved his foot in to stop it. “But…” he said and I kicked his foot away from the door and closed it. I was scared that we were going to Hogwarts in two days. It was going to be harder to avoid him and Ron there without someone knowing something was up.

Chapter 3, She Tells Him, Finally
I had successfully stayed in crowded areas so Harry couldn’t get me alone. I know it’s wrong to do that to him, but I don’t know how to explain this to him. Finally it was the day we were going back to Hogwarts. It was chaos here, like it always is when somebody forgot to pack this or wakes up too late. We finally boarded Platform 9 ¾ and since Ron and I were prefects, we had to go to the prefects place. We were told there that we had to patrol the train and I was assigned the end of the train. I walked almost to the end of the train when I grabbed into one of the compartments. “What the…” I started to say before I saw it was Harry.

“Harry, I have to patrol the train” I said to him. “You have been avoiding for the past three days. Your going to tell me about that kiss three days ago and your not going until you do” he said. What he said shocked me, he never did something like this before. “Ok if you have to know I…I love you dam*it!” I said in between tears.” You what?” he said with a look on his face the sadden me. “I love you” I whispered again. “We would have to figure out how to be together without Ron and Ginny being hurt” Harry said. I gave him a confused look. “I love you too Hermione, that’s why I wanted to know why you were avoiding me” he said and he cupped my face in his hands. “We’ll figure out how” he said and our lips touched.

We kept kissing until we heard a voice behind us say “Get a room Potter!” we turned and saw none other than Draco Malfoy. “Oh what happened to the Weasleys? Cheating are you? Didn’t know you two had it in you” he smirked. “Malfoy! Get out!” we yelled at him. “Ok, I’ll just go tell them you’re cheating on them” he said and started walking away. Harry and I looked at each other and both said “Wait!” and he came back over. “Please Malfoy, don’t be a git! Just don’t tell them” I told him. “Fine, I’ll keep your dirty little secret, if you don’t tell anybody that I was nice to a Mudblood” he said and walked back to his assigned part of the train.

“That was a close one” I said to him. “I’ll see you later” he said and we both whispered “I love you” before their last kiss. I went back to patrolling with a big smile on my face because I did have everything I wanted. But we still had to figure out how to tell Ron and Ginny without breaking their hearts.

Chapter 4,Oh Crap...
Obviously sneaking around with Harry and avoiding Ron and Ginny, was something I never thought I would do. Strangely, Malfoy kept our secret. I keep wanted to tell them the truth, but I don’t want to lose two of my three best friends? But then again I want to be with Harry, and I know he’s worth it, no wonder Ginny loves him. A week after our first kiss as a couple came, Harry and I sneaked off to the library giggling the whole way.

Once we were in the library, we hid behind a bookshelf in the back of the library, I said “Harry, I think we should tell them about us” I told him. “It makes me feel like a horrible person” “I know, I want to too but I don’t know how, but I promise we will soon” and I nodded and our lips melted together and before we stopped, we heard “You cheating bas****! You’re cheating on both of us with our best friend!” Ron screamed with Ginny crying behind him. “Ron we wanted to tell you both, but we didn’t know how!” I yelled and tears were streaming down my face. “Just stay the he!! away from us! Both of you!” Ron said and he and Ginny ran out right as Madam Sintra (sp?)was going to kick them out. I burst into tears and grabbed hold of Harry and buried my face into his shoulder. I knew he was silently crying. We both had lost our best friends.

Chapter 5, The Aftermath
I sat in the common room, with tears streaming down my face as I saw the flames flicker apon the wood in the fireplace. Harry came back a few minutes later telling me Ron had moved out and switched with another guy. He sat down besides me and held my hand and looked into my eyes “Don’t worry, we’ll get them back” he whispered and I fell into his arms, kissed him gently and fell into his arms and had nightmares of Ron’s angry face and Ginny’s tear stained one. I woke up and looked and saw most of the common room looking at us. “Harry..wake up” I said and shook him a little. “Whats wrong?” he asked but looked around and saw the answer to his question.”Clear off!” he said angerly and everyone went back to whatever they were doing. “Thank god it’s Saturday” he said. We walked to breakfast in silence, Ron giving us looks that could kill. I ate silently, looking and seeing Ron still glaring knives at us. I excused myself and walked to the bathroom and went into a stall and tears poured out of my eyes.

It was my fault Ron and Ginny hate us! I had to kiss Harry at Grimmaulds Place! I had to tell him how I felt and know two of my best friends hated my guts and Harrys! By the time I left the stall my eyes were red and puffy. I looked into the mirror and sang softly “Who is that girl I see, staring straight back at me?Why is my reflection someone I don't know?*”I walked as slowly as I could to not have to deal with my mistakes. That was the truth, that song. What I did, cheating on Ron with Harry was not like me. But then again, I didn’t know who I was when I looked into the mirror. I said the password ”Fire whiskey” and looked and saw a boy with red hair walking away the moment he saw me.

I want to be proud about who I was and right now I wasn’t. I hurt my best friends, and nothing excuses that. So I sat down and took out a few pieces of parchment. I had crumpled up several pages. My final letter to both Ginny and Ron ended up being this: Dear Ron and Ginny Weasley, you’ll probably burn this if you knew it was from me but I’m still going to try. I’m so sorry that me and Harry hurt you guys and I have been so angry at myself too. The only thing I can think about is pictures of memories of all of us. I’m not telling you guys to forgive me, I’m just telling you to remember how we were before Harry and I became stupid. I’d give up anything and everything just to have every back to normal. Ron, it’s not that I didn’t love you that I broke your heart it just my feelings were to Harry and Ginny I’m sorry for taking the love of you life. Harry and I will wait day after day until you forgives us and even if you never do we’ll still know we tried.
Hermione Granger and Harry Potter
I showed Harry it before and he changed a few things and signed his name to and gave Hedwig the letter, awaiting that there might be a reply. I gave Harry a last kiss and went up to bed, dreaming of Harry close to me with a song in the background, like a movie “Every time our eyes meet

When I woke up I was happier than I had been in days and went to class and didn’t even compain when Snape took off ten points for Harry and I being late.We still haven’t heard if Ginny and Ron got our letter but they still didn’t make eye contact and still there’s another day. Soon things will be as they were before and everything will be great and perky and happy, right?
