Lord Voldemort sighed as Hermione fainted.

"I hate it when they do that. Monroe?"

"Yes Master?" He moved foward eagerly.

"Take Mrs. Malfoy up to my house."

"Yes Master. What about the other one?" Voldemort thought, then waved his hand.

"Yes...bring him too. It'd be a pity if they didn't die together. Take them both up to the house then...but in different rooms. You know which ones, Monroe."

"Yesh I do." Monroe said, giggling. He hefted Hermione onto one shoulder with ease, then did the same to Draco. Voldemort looked around the house.

"Now...where is it...ah.." He picked up a slim volume from the bookcase, then opened it. He waved his wand and said something in Parseltongue. The bookcase moved aside. Voldemort took out the thick book that was hidden. He placed it under his arm, then Apparated.

Hermione awoke in a small room, bound, but not gagged. She also noticed that she was bound quite loosely, and was able to escape quite easily. She slid the ropes off her wrists, then tried to get up. A bolt of pain wracked her brain. She sat back down, groaning.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Mrs. Malfoy." A silky voice said. Hermione faced Lord Voldemort.

"And why not?"

"Because," Voldemort walked around the room, circling her, "this room is programmed to your brainwaves. If you stand up more than 3 feet, an electric shock is sent to your brain. A handy muggle contraption that I hired someone to install."

"Oh?" Hermione said hopefully. Maybe he's still here.. she thought.

"Don't think about that, Hermione my dear. He is long dead. I had to...well...let's say he had another appointment."

"You monster!" Hermione said viciously.

"Yes I am. Now, please allow me to direct your attention for just a brief moment." He waved his hand towards the wall. "You must have heard about one way mirrors, having grown up in a muggle home."

"Yesss..."Hermione said testily.

"Well, look. You are on the mirror side. Have a glance, and tell me what you see."

Hermione gave him an I-don't-trust-you-and-you-know-it Look, but she aquiested.

"Draco!" She screamed, and tried to run to him. But she hit the wall. She stood up shakily, then screamed again as the shock hit her. She turned to Voldemort, furious. "You b*st*rd! Let him GO!"

"What fun would that be?" Voldemort took out a remote control. "Would you like to see him awake?"

"Yes! I want to see him!"

Voldemort pressed the button. Draco jerked up, and appeared to be screaming. Hermione watched him, confused.

"Oh, you don't understand. Well, let's turn up the volume, shall we?"

Suddenly, the whole room was filled with Draco's screams. Hermione clapped her hands over her ears and cried. Suddely, the noise stopped.

"Ah, I love surround-sound, don't you?" Voldemort put away the remote. "Now, as you've probably guessed, Mr. Malfoy does indeed, have the same restraints as you. But he has an added bonus. Everytime you hit the 3 foot mark, not only do you both get electrocuted, but his is doubled."

"WHY!!" Hermione shrieked at him.

"Well, I was bored. And it will help with your cooperation. See, I still need your child. And as long as you know that your husband is getting hurt, you will, shall I say, cooperate. It's his safety in your hands. I feel that is quite motivating, don't you?"

He started to leave the room. He stopped.

"If you were wondering about further accomidations, that will decide on your behavior and Mr. Malfoy's condition in one week. Good day to you."

He left, Hermione crying steadily now.

That was a hard chapter to write...

Draco woke up in the room, and had a good idea where he was. He had a better idea than Hermione, but was no further to finding a way out than her.

"Comfortable?" Voldemort came into his cell an hour after he had left Hermiones. Draco glared at him and said nothing. "Now, that's not very nice."

"I don't have to be nice to you. You kidnapped myself and my wife. You tortured me and had my wife watch. She's probably sobbing right now, suffering, and I'm supposed to be nice to you? What's the matter with you?"

"Oh, c'mon Mr. Malfoy. You're being unreasonable. Your wife hurt you. I didn't do anything."

"Yes you did! You must think I'm stupid. I know that I can see her, and I know that you were in there with her, forcing her to watch while I was electrocuted.So don't say you didn't do anything, when you pushed the button." Draco curled up in a ball, and faced the wall.

"Mr. Malfoy, you hurt me. Deeply. And I don't like to be hurt. You know that...don't you?"

Draco grunted.

"But there's a way for you to make me feel better."

"No."

"Yes. Why are you being unreasonable? If you do as I ask, I'll allow Mrs. Malfoy to leave freely."

Draco turned to face Voldemort, slowly. "Hermione....could leave? And you'd never bother her again?"

"Well, it's a small world. I may bump into her again, but for the most part....yes, she could leave."

"But I would have to remain here, correct?"

"Yes. An eye for an eye. You would have to stay here....but what's a little stay with Voldy compared to hearing your wife screaming in the other room, and not being able to do anything about it?"

"You unimaginable b*st*rd." Draco said softly. "I'll do it. But don't tell Hermione. Just...tell her that you've decided to let her go. Don't mention me. Please?"

Voldemort turned to leave. He smirked.

"Voldemort? I want an answer!"

He turned.

"TOM!"

Voldemort stopped. He faced Draco, smooth and deadly. He took out the remote control. He pressed the button, and Draco's body was on fire. He screamed with pain.

"Never call me that." Voldemort shouted over Draco's screams. "Or it shall be worse, do you hear me?" He let go of the button. Draco lay on the floor, gasping for air.

"Go....to.....hell."

"Oh, don't worry. There's a special place prepared there for me."

And he left.

Voldemort walked out of Draco's cell, humming to himself. Monroe lumbered up to him.

"Everything ok Master?"

"Yes Monroe, things are most certainly looking up. We shall soon have a new addition to our little family."

Monroe followed Voldemort as he walked into his chamber. Voldemort locked the door behind him. Monroe looked around placidly, with no idea of what was going on.

"Monroe, do you know why you're here?"

"Umm....because you asked me too?" Monroe asked tentatively.

"Yes. Because it was my wish for you to be here. Do you know what is going to happen when Mr. Malfoy joins us?"

"Umm....there's gonna be another person here to help?"

"Ouch! Monroe, you were doing so well. When Mr. Malfoy gets here, someone's going to have to leave. Do you know who that will be?"

Monroe shook his head. Voldemort raised his wand.

"You." With a flash of green light, Monroe was flat out on the ground. Voldemort shook his head. "Sorry big boy."

Hermione stopped crying. She shifted herself over to the wall where she could see Draco. She had watched Voldemort come in, but couldn't hear what they were saying.

She leaned over and tapped on the wall. Draco looked up, and headed towards the wall. Hermione tapped frantically now, and Draco was next to it.

"Draco!"

".....Hermione?....."

"Yes! It's me! Oh, how are you? I wish I could be there with you." Hermione placed her hand on the wall. "Put your hand on the wall honey."

With Hermione's voice as a guide, Draco manuvered his hand until theirs were touching. Tears slipped down Hermione's face with joy.

"Oh, Draco...now if only we could find our way out of here!"

"....you....can....I'm....staying...here-"

"NO!" Hermione cried out. "NONONO! You're coming with me!" She ranted and raved, her voice becoming louder and more powerful. The wall was getting hot. And hotter. Draco pulled away from it just as it shattered. Hermione looked agap at it. Draco embraced her.

"Hermione! You did it!"

"....did what?" Hermione asked, still stunned about what she had done.

"You used a nonverbal spell! I don't know who you did it, but it happened Love. Now we can get out of here. Or," he added, looking above him," at least undoing the electric ceiling."

Hermione laughed and hugged Draco back, happy to be with him, for the time being anyway.

LOL three more chapters left! will they live happily ever after?

Night fell on the world. Birds sang goodnight as they fell asleep, one by one. All was silent, except for the lone hooting of the night owl. In the house, all was silent as well. But in one of the rooms, a man was stirring. Monroe got up, and placed a hand on his head. He groaned.

"Whoa....what..."

It all came back in a rush. He remembered kidnapping Hermione and Draco. He remembered Voldemort....what was he doing? Trying to Stunhim or something. Whatever it was, it didn't work. Monroe got up with another goran, this one a little quieter.

"Now what?"

He looked around. He had the brain of an adult when it was working properly. Unfortunatly, that wasn't most of the time. But what he could determine was:

A. Voldemort didn't like him around anymore.

and:

B. He wasn't so thrilled being his puppet anymore either.

Conclusion: He was going to leave.

That was what his mother always told him. If anything started going the wrong way, don't get involved anymore. Which was what Monroe was planning to do. Just as he was leaving, he remembered the Malfoys.

"Hmmm...."

He mumbled to himself. It appeared to him that the Malfoys didn't like Voldemort either. So why weren't they leaving? Maybe they couldn't. So Monroe let out a sigh and headed toward their quarters.

Hermione was asleep, Draco in her lap. Draco was wide awake. He didn't want to join Voldemort's ranks, but if it helped Hermione...

BANG!

The door flew open from the other side of the room. Draco saw the man who helped kidnap them lumber in. He punched out a device on the ceiling, and Draco sensed that he could stand without getting shocked. He tried gingerly, then stretched.

"Who are you?"

"My name Monroe. You like Master?"

"Not particularly." Draco said, yawning. "Why? Do you?"

"Not anymore. Monroe wants to leave. Take Malfoys with him."

"Monroe, that's wonderful. Let me wake up Hermione." He bent down to his wife. He kissed her cheek gently. She stirred. "Honey, we're leaving."

"What....now.....huh?" Hermione mumbled drowsily. Draco raised his hands, and picked her up. She woke up slowly in his arms. Monroe waited impatiently.

"You ready yet?"

"Yes Monroe, let's get out of here."

Monroe led the way out of The Riddle House. As they reached the door, Draco began to breathe a little easier. A high, cold laugh echoed throughout the house.

"Leaving so soon?"

Draco handed Hermione to Monroe.

"Actually, yes. What did you think we were doing?"

"Nothing that I can't prevent." And just like that, Voldemort was at their feet. "Leave the woman."

"No way Tom. She's coming with us." Draco took out his wand. Voldemort scoffed.

"Do you really think you can defeat me? I, the Dark Lord, the Master of Death, Lord Voldemort?"

Draco closed his eyes, blocking out all thought. He summoned Hermione's face, and how happy they were before all of this.

"Well....Petrificus Totalius!!"

Voldemort lay on the floor, petrified. Draco walked up to him.

"Now, sonce I know you can't be killed, I'm going to have to place you somewhere, aren't I?"

Draco raised his wand and-

But if I told you that....it would ruin everything!

Time is running out for our young heroes! :hourglass: Will they live happily ever after? And what will happen to Voldemort?
