Ok Its like 1:30 in the morning and Im still awake. Maybe not wide awake but awake enough that Im going to post  Chapter 22
Loved…loved…loved…
“Loved is past tense. That means he doesn’t love me anymore. And I just made a fool of myself.” Ginny thought walking down the staircase. At the bottom she turned to look back up. Harry was gone. He probably went back to the common room, happy to get away. Ginny let herself sink down onto the bottom step, letting her sorrow take over. She didn’t even hear somebody walking down the steps toward her until they spoke.
“Shouldn’t you be in your common room, Weasley?” A voice said. Ginny turned and looked up into Draco Malfoy’s face. He had a long scratch over his left eyebrow and a small purple bruise on his jaw. He was in a clean set of robes and he was holding his ribs self-consciously. His platinum blond hair was longer than Ginny had ever seen it. It didn’t yet reach his shoulders but was near the middle of his neck. He stopped a couple of steps above her and looked down at her with his gray eyes.
“Shouldn’t you be anywhere else but here?” She asked, swapping at the tears in her eyes.
“You don’t have to cry about it.” He retorted.
“Like I would cry over you.” Ginny snapped. She got up from the step and began to storm away. She didn’t go far, however, because Draco grabbed her arm.
“Look I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make fun of you. Are you ok? Do you want to talk?” he asked gently.
“Why would I want to talk to you?” she said pulling her arm away from him.
“Fine.” He said and began walking away from her.
Ginny watched him as he started to descend down the next staircase. “Why do you care anyways?” she called after him.
He turned back to her. “Well it just looked like you were upset.”
“You never would’ve cared before.”
Draco looked like he was struggling to remain patient with her. “Your right. I’ll just go then.”
“Are you being serious? Or are you just messing with me? Because I’m really not in the mood to be messed with right now.” Ginny said, her eyes flashing. Absent mindedly, she wrapped her fingers tightly around her wand.
“I really did want to know if you were alright. I’ve never seen you cry before. I’ve seen that Mud-“
“Finish it. I dare you.” Ginny challenged, aiming her wand at him.
“Granger cries all the time. But you were always the tough one who never cried.” He said, saving himself. She lowered her wand a fraction of an inch.
“What do you mean Hermione always cries?”
“Your brother was always mean to her. Are they going out yet?” Ginny actually cracked a smile. Draco must of felt that it was safe, because he slowly walked back toward her.
“So how come your crying her all by yourself?”
“Nothing.” She said looking away.
“It sure looks like nothing. Do you want me to hex them for you?” He had gotten her to giggle.
“Yeah like you could hex him.”
“We can double team him.” Draco smiled. Ginny gave another chuckle as footsteps sounded by the top of the staircase.
Ginny and Draco looked up, when a meow was heard by their ankles. Mrs. Norris was sitting near their feet, her orange eyes looking into them.
“Filch is coming!” Draco whispered.
“Students aren’t suppose to be out past eight now!” Ginny whispered back.
Draco immediately grabbed her hand and took off running down the corridor. Running footsteps followed them. They both ran sharply around the corner and Draco pushed her and himself in a secret passageway behind a tapestry of wolves. Ginny lost her balance and began to fall, pulling Draco with her. He landed smack down on top of her, but didn’t dare move off her. The footsteps had stopped right in front of the tapestry. Two feet were barely visible under the little crack. Ginny’s heart was beating uncontrollably as she held her breath. Lying there, she began to feel something hitting against her chest. Slowly she realized it was Draco’s thumping heart. As they laid there, his body heat began heating her up. She didn’t know why, but she suddenly began to blush. She was glad it was dark.
Finally the two feet moved away and they disappeared around the corner. Draco slowly got off her and raised her to her feet.
“Sorry I fell on you. I would’ve moved but I would’ve made to much noise.” He said apologetically.
“It’s fine.” She replied.
“I didn’t hurt you did I?”
“No I’m ok. Is he gone?”
She watched as Draco peaked out behind the tapestry. “Yeah. Come on, before he comes back.” He said and pulled it open for her. She walked out and saw Filch was nowhere in sight.
“That was close.” Ginny said.
“Yeah it was.” Draco chuckled rounding the corner. Ginny was right behind him when he suddenly came back and hurriedly led her in the opposite direction.
“Mrs. Norris.” He mouthed. Ginny nodded and began walking with him the other way.
When Ginny felt it was safe to talk again, she said, “So, why did you come back?”
Draco didn’t answer right away. “Well, after seeing my mother tortured, I didn’t want to be part of it anymore.”
“I’m sorry.” Ginny said quietly. Wait a minute, was she feeling bad for Draco? Draco Malfoy?
“Yeah, especially when they told me to do it at first.”
“Is that why you were all beat up when we found you?”
“Yeah. A lot of them faded away on my trip here though.”
She was. Ginny Weasley was feeling sorry for him.
“What did they do to your dad?” she asked curiously.
“When I refused to torture my mother, they told him to do it.” He said his eyes darkening.
“Did he?” she couldn’t help but ask.
“Yeah.”
Ginny didn’t know what to say. She took his hand and squeezed it. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s not your fault my father is weak.” He said, stopping to look at her. He looked intensely into her eyes. Ginny felt herself drowning in the stony gray depths. Not wanting to lose herself completely, she let go of his hand and looked away.
“Well thanks for making me feel better. And giving me the work out of my life.” She said. Draco laughed and she looked back at him. She never realized how tall he was compared to her. He had for sure grown over the time she had last seen him.
“It was fun…” he started looking deeply into her eyes again. She was growing weak once more as he leaned in closer to her. What was he doing?
“Ginny.” He finished. Slowly Ginny felt her head lean in also and their lips met. She couldn’t believe she was actually kissing him. She hated the guy for crying out loud! Or did she? Draco’s hands held on tenderly to her cheeks as Ginny felt her insides explode with pleasure. Hope you like it!!

“Harry. Harry! Wake up, mate!” Harry heard these words and rolled over in bed. Ron was looking down at him fully dressed.
“You slept in. Transfiguration starts in five minutes.” This made Harry jump out of bed. He dressed so quickly, that if he put on the same clothes he was wearing yesterday, he didn’t know, or care. He then grabbed his book bag and ran down the staircase, Ron on his heels. The common room was empty as they raced through and out the portrait hole. They ran down the moving staircase two at a time, hoping it did not begin to move. Just as the final bell rang, Harry swung open the door and rushed inside, his bag swinging behind him. He slid into the empty seat next to Hermione, who was watching them like they had just escaped from the loony barn. Ron hurriedly sat down next to him.
Professor McGonagall looked at them for a second with her piercing look, debating whether or not to give them detention. After about a minute or two, she turned away and began her lesson. Harry breathed a sigh of relief.
When Professor McGonagall’s back was to them, Hermione turned to Harry.
“What happened last night?” she whispered.
“Nothing.” Harry replied. He didn’t want to remember last night.
“Did Ginny tell you…”
“Yes she did.” He said through gritted teeth.
“Then why are you so…I thought you’d be happy.”
“I don’t want to talk about it anymore Hermione.” He said a little louder than he meant to.
Professor McGonagall turned her head back around, her eyes flashing. “Mr. Potter, can you repeat anything I just said?”
Harry couldn’t. He didn’t have a clue. “Uh…”
“Ms. Granger?” she said turning to Hermione.
“You were explaining the difficulties of transfigurating a random object into an animal.” Hermione said. She didn’t stutter once. Harry stared at her. How can she do that? It was like she had an extra pair of ears.
“Very good. Potter, I want a foot long essay on why you should pay attention in my class.” Professor McGonagall said turning back to the item on her desk. Harry groaned and tuned into what she was saying half-heartedly.
“I don’t want to talk about it.” Harry said again as they walked into the Great Hall for dinner.
“But why aren’t you with her? I know you still-“
“Just drop it Hermione.” Ron said and she grew quiet.
As Harry sat at the table looking around at the food, he became less and less hungry. Ron was loading his plate with his usual foods; Hermione was buttering a role.
“I’m going to go to the common room. I’m not really hungry.” Harry said and got up from the Gryffindor bench. He then made his way out of the Great Hall and back to the common room. It was quite empty when he walked inside. Most people were still at dinner. Harry decided he might as well start on McGonagall’s essay.
As time past, and more people had come back from dinner, he had only gotten one sentence down. He couldn’t get Ginny out of his head. He wished they could be together, but he didn’t want anything to happen to her. Voldermort has already used her once; he wasn’t going to let it happen again.
Harry looked up when the portrait hole swung open and Ron and Hermione walked in, whispering.
“He’ll just get mad if you tell him.” Hermione said in a quiet tone.
“He’ll find out eventually.” Ron was saying.
“I’ll find out what?” Harry said. Hermione jumped and Ron stopped walking.
“Harry, didn’t see you there.” Hermione said cheerfully.
“I’ll find out what?” Harry repeated.
“Nothing mate. We weren’t talking about you.” Ron said. Harry knew he was lying but didn’t feel like calling him on it.
Suddenly there was a clicking sound at the window. The three of them turned and saw the same multicolored brown owl that had entered the Weasley’s kitchen. Once again, it flew to Hermione and put out its leg to her.
Hermione slid the rolled up parchment off its leg and it took flight again. Hermione sat in the empty chair next to Harry, but didn’t read her letter. “So…” she said a little awkwardly.
“Can you help me with my Charms homework?” Harry said, pushing away from the subject of Hermione’s letter.
“Sure.” Hermione said and took out her Charms book.
“Do you want help too Ron?”
Ron was looking down at his feet. “No. I think I’m just gonna go to bed.” He said and walked away from them.
Hermione sighed. “So it looks like Ronald is mad at me now too.”
“Yeah well…you are a very irritating person.” Harry said.
“Hey!” she said, which made Harry smile.
