Exploding Bonbons Collaborative FanFiction! EXPLODING BONBONS COLLABORATIVE FANFICTION! Ever wanted to write a story, but you got stuck? Perhaps at the start of the story, you weren’t sure how to introduce characters, or come up with names? Or maybe the middle threw you - how do you introduce your ARCH? How do you build the drama? Do you have to much drama, or too little? What about the ending, though? |
"So, Harry, if you don't mind my asking, how come you're not sitting over there with Ron and Hermione today?" squeaked Colin. "They're havin' a go because Hermione thinks Professor Sprout could have told us more about Mandrake Draught, Ron said that it would have been information they would never use, and now Hermione is telling him all about the importance of learning. I was not going to pick a side on that one." said Harry, exasperatedly. "Well, I know all I need to know about Mandrake Draught after it woke me up from being petrified. You'd know all about that, wouldn't you Harry?" squeaked Colin again. Harry smirked at Colin getting worked up at the opportunity to get him going about one of his adventures again. Thinking to himself about how truly remarkable it was that Colin could have such a close brush with death, use it as a learning experience, and still be in awe of Harry. It was a luxury Harry could not afford, he had seen and felt actual death. Just then, Hermione and Ron got up and their expressions and actions began to get more animated. Hermione was waving him over and Colin, of course, followed him. When they reached the other side of The Great Hall were Ron and Hermione were talking, they caught the tail end of the conversation. ".....I will show you what I'm talking about myself then, Ronald! When I do, Harry will have to take my side, right Harry?" said Hermione rather pointedly. "Oh...uhh I d-dunno...." stammered Harry. Then the quarter made their way off to the greenhouses with Colin snapping pictures of every moment. Harry hoped Hermione was right and all of this would somehow be important to them and their fight against dark wizards...and if it wasn't at least Colin would probably make it seem like it was. |
^ Please remember to include a prompt. *Made Up Prompt: Hermione goes to the library Hermione stormed off to the Library, where she did all of her best thinking. That Ronald, she thought with fury. She would show him. Never opened a book, never appreciated the importance of information. Even if they wouldn't ever use it again, knowing was better than not knowing. In the library she pulled a particularly worn book from the shelf and dropped it onto a nearby desk with a dull thud. Madame Pince gave her a stern 'Shh' but Hermione, still fuming over Ron's desire to be ignorant, ignored her. She flipped open to the page on Mandrakes and began to read about their uses. Prompt: Dennis Creevey appears in the library in a panic, wanting to know where Colin is. |
Dennis ran into the library, gryffindor robes flying behind him. Colin said he would be in the great hall, but Dennis had not found him. It wasn't like Colin to run off like this. The last time they were separated for this long, the camera ended up broken! Panicking, he ran back and forth through the shelves, shouting "Colin! Colin where are you?" Madam Pince, who was quite infuriated by the noise level today, followed him about the library, shushing him, but he wasn't even aware this was happening. Eventually he stumbled upon Hermione and immediately asked with great urgency, "Where is Colin? I can't find him anywhere!" Hermione opened her mouth, ready to send him away, but was interrupted by Madam Pince, who had finally caught up with the scrawny boy. Surveying the scene she responded, "Out! Both of you out of my library! Now!" Hermione glared at Dennis as she scooped up the book and began walking away. "Leave the book," said a slightly calmer Madam Pince. Just then, Dennis spoke. "Was Colin in here recently? I can't find him anywhere," he asked. "Child, I don't keep track of every living soul that comes through here. Only the ones that make too much noise. I told you to leave and that is that!" she said. Madam Pince wasn't going to allow this absurd behavior. Topic: Denis and Hermione argue in the hallway and Hermione goes storming off. |
As soon as they were out of the library, Hermione spun around to look at the younger boy. "I can't believe you got me sent out of the library! I didn't even get a chance to read the book and Madam Pince told me to leave it behind!" she cried exasperatedly, hands waving around as she tried to make her point. Dennis tilted his head to one side, impatiently bouncing on his feet as he waited for Hermione to finish speaking. "Yeah, sorry about that but - have you seen Colin?" It was all Hermione could do not to scream at the boy in front of her. Trying to keep her voice level, she ran her hands through her hair - an act which seemed to increase its bushiness relative to how annoyed she was. "You're not listening to a word I'm saying, Dennis! Don't be so rude, especially not in the library." How could he not understand what a big deal this was?! The look on Dennis' face told her that she was getting nowhere trying to teach him anything, and at the sight of Madam Pince appearing in the library door she thought it best to storm off down the corridor away from him. Maybe she'd find the information in one of the books she'd already checked out. Prompt: Dennis continues in his search of Colin, bumping into Professor Snape on the way. |
