Here's a spoiler for Chapter Eight! (I know I said I'd try and do weekly updates, and that means I'm two days late, but things happened, I spent a lot of time sick in bed over the past week, to exhausted to even really write)
SPOILER!!: Chapter Eight: The End Of Fourth Year
Hermione laughed a bit and nodded, more to herself then anyone else, since there wasn't anyone to nod to anyway. She then arrived at the table and gratefully picked up a glass of water. It was when she was almost halfway through drinking the glass when she was rather rudely interrupted by the last person she expected to see at the moment.
“Oi, you leave my boyfriend alone, leave everybody's boyfriends alone, stop stealing them!” Cho screamed angrily, surprising Hermione and making her jump slightly. “The girls of Hogwarts have had it with you stealing everyone for fame. Why don't you go back to where you came from, why did you even come to Hogwarts? You don't belong here, you never have, and you never will!” She was now shrieking like a hysteric. “WOULD YOU JUST LEAVE CEDRIC ALONE! You don't deserve him, I do. Now get out of here, no one wants you! No one will ever want you!”
Hermione just stared at Cho in shock, not knowing how to react when suddenly she felt a hard slap go across her face, and that was the last straw for the smartest witch of her generation. She wasn't going to just stand there and let Cho Chang of all people, slap her and badmouth her. Finally Hermione understood why Cedric had decided taking the Asian beauty wasn't a good idea at all, she didn't even blame him in the slightest for dumping Cho.
“I'm not going to stand here and listen to you Cho. I'm not going to listen to that stupid Rita Skeeter either. Her whole life is just so that she can tear people down, she's bent on destroying everyone she doesn't like. Her work is dedicated to making up disgusting and disturbing lies about people. The fact that you people even believe her, is just as disgusting. If you actually even tried to think about it, you'd realize how false and disturbing it is.” Hermione ranted on, not noticing that half of the room was watching her now.
