Chapter One
I walked down to platform 9 and ¾. I was about to go to Hogwarts. For the first time! I was very excited, but didn’t show it. I didn’t like my uncle seeing me happy. My uncle was very mean. All he did was give me food and shelter, and that was it. He took me in when my parents got tortured by a death eater since there was no one else who could. I was happy to get away to Hogwarts, to be away from him.

“Go on.” He said, pushing me forward. “Goodbye.” He said, I didn’t say bye back. I took a deep breath and walked through the barrier. I smiled widely as I saw the Hogwarts express. I happily got on and looked for an empty compartment. The only one close to empty was one with a boy in it about my age. I slid open the door and cleared my throat. “M-may I sit here? There’s no room anywhere else…” I said quietly. “Oh, go ahead.” The boy said. I smiled a small smile and sat next to him. “I’m Sydney, by the way.” I said smiling. “Nice to meet you, I’m Harry Potter.” He said smiling back at me. Harry Potter . . . I knew that name! I had read it somewhere in a book. “You…you’re Harry Potter?!” I asked in shock. “Ama...” but before I could tell him amazing, the door slid open and a boy with red hair poked his head in. Not just any red headed boy. The most amazing red head I’ve ever laid eyes on. I felt my heart start beating rapidly. And I felt myself feeling very hot and dizzy. “Do you mind? Everywhere else is full…” he said. I blinked. “Not at all!” Harry said. The boy smiled and sat in front of us. “I’m Ron by the way, Ron Weasley.” He said smiling. “I’m Harry, Harry Potter.” Harry said. “And this is-.” But before he could introduce me, Ron’s mouth had dropped. “So…so it’s true! I mean…do you really have the… the scar?” he asked. Harry lifted his bangs to show a lightning shaped scar on his head. My eyes popped. This was the real Harry Potter! “As I was saying, this is Sydney.” Harry said, gesturing to me. “Nice to meet you, Sydney.” Ron said smiling at me. Oh gosh. I nearly died inside. He had the cutest smile in the world. “N-nice to meet you too.” I said smiling back.

We had been eating a ton of sweets that Harry had bought that were amazing! Except for the ear wax flavored bean I ate. Ron was going to show us a spell that would turn his rat yellow when a girl opened the door and asked if we had seen a toad. I frowned. “No.” Ron said. “Sorry, I haven’t either.” I said. “Oh…” she said, then she spotted Ron’s wand and asked if he was doing magic. He nodded and she asked to see him do a spell. He cleared his throat and said:
“Sunshine, daisies. Butter mellow, turn this stupid fat rat yellow!” he cried, but nothing happened. The girl laughed. “Are you sure that’s a real spell? Well, it’s not very good is it?” she asked, her eyebrows raised. Ron and I looked at each other. I couldn’t help but smile. She then sat down in front of Harry and pointed her wand at his glasses. “Oculus, repairo.” She said simply, and his glasses that had been broken fixed. My mouth fell open. “Wow!” I said. “That’s better, isn’t it.” She said smiling. Then she noticed that Harry Potter was sitting in front of her. “Holy cricket! You’re Harry Potter!” she said. “I’m Hermione Granger.” She said, and then she turned to me and Ron. “Who are you?” she asked us. “Ron Weasley.” Ron said his mouth full of something. “I’m Sydney.” I said simply. “Pleasure.” She said. “You three better change into your robes, I expect we’ll be arriving soon...” she said, getting up and leaving. Before I could say something, she was back and looking at Ron. “You’ve got dirt on your nose by the way. Did you know? Just there.” She said pointing at the spot. Ron rubbed at it as she turned and left.

“Well that was interesting.” I said as soon as I was sure she was out of earshot. Ron and Harry began laughing, and I joined in.

Very nice, I like it. Good to see you finally write a fanfic. I will come back often to check. I mean come on you write a fanfic and I dont read it?? that aint on

you have to upload more soon, lets see who gets Ron, Sydney or Hermione, can you guess who my money's on?

Chapter Two

I sat upon the stool, the Sorting Hat drooping over my nose. I nervously wondered what house I was going to be in. I gulped a bit too loudly, the room seemed so silent! After what seemed like hours it screamed out: GRYFFINDOR! Causing me to jump slightly. I felt the hat being pulled off my head and then I spotted him, in the crowd. Smiling at me. Ron. My cheeks turned bright red and I managed to smiled back. “Sydney, you can go sit down now.” Professor McGonagall said quietly in my ear. I nervously got up and waddled to the Gryffindor table and found an empty spot and sat down and watched as everyone else got sorted.

I sighed with relief as Harry and Ron joined me at the Gryffindor table. “I’m so glad we’re all in the same house!” I said smiling. “Yeah.” Harry and Ron said. We all began piling their plates with delicious food, which I had never really tasted before. My uncle had only fed me complete rubbish.

Once everyone’s bellies were all full, we all headed out of the Great Hall and to our dormitories. I followed the prefect, Ron and Harry beside me (my stomache doing flips). Hermione caught up with us and began walking along. We reached a painting of a woman singing, but the weird thing was that she was actually singing and moving! “Wow!” I whispered. Ron smiled at me and my heart nearly melted. I smiled back and followed everyone inside. I was sure it was going to be a good year with Ron and Harry, and maybe Hermione.

Chapter Three

THREE YEARS LATER

It was our fourth year, I had gone to the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione. We had all grown quite close together through those first three years of Hogwarts. I of course was still in love with Ron. I don’t know if he feels the same.

School started with a surprise, they were holding the Triwizard Tournament! It sounded brilliant but it turned out that only a student the age of 17 could participate. I was quite disappointed when I found that out. . .

Now, we are in class and Professor McGonagall is telling us about some dance called the Yule Ball. I gulped. A dance?! Oh great. When I heard McGonagall announce this, I had quickly looked at Ron. He noticed and looked back and smiled. I smiled back and quickly turned my head back to McGonagall. I wanted badly to be asked my Ron. SO badly. I just didn’t know if he was going to do it.

A few weeks later….

It was very close to the dance, VERY close. I had found out poor Harry tried to ask Cho to the dance, but she was already going with Cedric. I felt terribly sorry for him. I knew how much he liked her, it was a bit obvious, wasn’t it? I had walked into the Gryffindor Common room and slumped into a chair. I noticed Ron come in, with a bunch of girls around him. I cocked my head and walked over. It turned out he had asked Fleur to the dance, the girl that was one of the participants in the Triwizard Cup. She was also very gorgeous. Part veela, as I hear it. She had rejected (Oh thank God!). I put an arm around Ron once everyone had left him. “I’m sorry Ron.” I said. “I would of said yes if I were her, I don’t know what she was thinking.” I said with a smile, then I noticed what I had just said. What in the world was wrong with me?! I panicked inside. He turned to me and looked at me in the eyes. I gulped. “Sydney, do you want to go to the ball with me?” he asked. Whaaa? Did he just…ask me to the Yule Ball?! The one I had been dying for him to ask me at? Of course I would! “Of…of course!” I said smiling. He smiled back, and I completely died inside. I went to bed that night, feeling way happier than I was when I woke up that morning.

I will be waiting *waiting*....... *still waiting* .........*STILL WAITING!!*

Oh and soooo glad Ron asked Syd to the ball

Chapter Four

I stood with Hermione in the Girl’s Dorm, Hermione brushing out my long, brown, straight hair. I smiled into the mirror. “I’m so excited!” I said. “Me too! Krum is very handsome.” Hermione said dreamily. I rolled my eyes. “So is Ron!” I said giggling.

We walked together to the ball, my green dress flowing all about me. Hermione saw Krum, and I waved goodbye as they walked off together. I found Harry and his date, and walked up to them. “Hey guys!” I said, nervously. “Hey” Harry said. “Where’s Ron?” I asked looking around. “He’s coming..oh, there he is now!” Harry said pointing. I turned my head quickly and saw him, in what many people would of thought as ugly dress robes but I thought he looked amazing in them. I ran up to him, without thinking, and threw my arms around him. “Hey Ron!” I said smiling. “You look amazing.” I said breathlessly. “You-you really think so? I hate these.” He mumbled, looking at himself. “I know so. You look very dashing.” I said ginning. “You look beautiful.” He said once he had eyed me fully. I blushed and he probably noticed, because I noticed a grin form onto his face.

Once it was time to dance, Ron and I walked out onto the floor. “Just to warn you, I’m not that good at dancing…” I said nervously as he wrapped his arms around me. We began swaying to the music, and I smiled at him. He smiled back, and began staring at me for a long time. I stared back, until he noticed what he was doing and quickly looked away. I frowned.

“How’s school?” I asked. What a lame question. “Al-alright.” He said slowly looking back at me. “You?” he asked. “It’s good.” I said with a shrug. Ron hesitated, then spoke. “Harry told me as we were getting ready that you liked me. He said you told him for each year we’ve been to Hogwarts.” He said. I gulped. Why did Harry say that? Oh well, I didn’t mind. Ron would find out one way or the other. “Is it true?” he asked quietly. I couldn’t speak. I looked away and watched as Hermione and Krum danced, and I looked back at him. “Y-yes.” I whispered hoarsely. He stopped dancing and put his hands on my shoulders and looked into my eyes. “Really?” he asked. I nodded. He sighed. “Come with me.” He said, taking my hand. He walked me outside of Hogwarts, by the Whomping Willow. “Are we allowed to be here?!” I whispered in bewilderment. What was going on?! “I dunno.” Was all he said. I sighed, then my eyes popped as he pulled me close to him. I felt my heart beating quickly. I wondered if it would burst. We were so close our noses were touching. He looked into my eyes. I looked back, not knowing what was going on. Out of nowhere, he slowly pressed his lips against mine. I shakily wrapped my arms around his back and stood there, in the moonlight, by the Whomping Willow, kissing Ron Weasley. The one I’d been in love with for three years.

I’d been totally lost in kissing Ron (for who knows HOW long) when he pulled away. I came back to earth and looked around. “Get down!” he whispered, pointing to a bush. We hid behind it. What was going on?! I figured that out when Filch, the caretaker, walked by. “I know you’re out there!” he yelled. “Come out! Now!” he yelled. He looked around. I felt Ron breathing heavily next to me. I looked at him, and noticed his cheeks were flushed and he had a big grin on his face. Filch was about to come to our bush, when I found a giant rock nearby. I sneakily threw it real far somewhere else, and luckily Filch heard it and walked towards it. “I GOTCHA!” he yelled. Then Ron and I snuck up to the castle, holding hands, smiles on both of our faces. "That was bloody brilliant." he said under his breath. "Yeah." was all I could manage to say.

Wow Thanks!!!! Oh man just getting interesting. I am now wondering what will happen later on. Will Herimione still fall for Ron? If she does then what will happen? OH! So many questions yet only you have the answers

Chapter Five

Ron and I headed up to the Gryffindor Common Room, we didn't want to dance anymore really. We sat on the couch in front of the crackling fire and sat there, without saying anything. I rested my head on his shoulder and he kissed the top of my head. "All this time, you've had a crush on me and I never knew?" he asked in bewilderment. I nodded slowly. "How was I supposed to tell you? I didn't quite know how to tell you I had a crush on you, you know." I said with a sigh. "I had a crush on you too. . .that day on the train when me met, I thought I was in heaven when I laid eyes on you." he said in a serious voice. Oh wow. He really meant it. "I...wow." was all I could manage. He smiled at me, and then we were kissing all over again.

I quickly pulled away when I heard the portrait creak open, and Harry walked in. He raised his eyebrows. I scrambled up to the Girls Dormitories, well pretended to. I secretly stayed, and listened to them. "Ron, we're you two just....?" Harry asked. "Yeah.." Ron said breathlessly. "Wow." Harry said, shaking his head. "I couldn't help it, Harry. She's brilliant you know. She's so pretty, and funny and...um..anyway, we were dancing and I...and I asked her if she really liked me. I told her that you told me that she liked me." he said. "What? Why? I told her I wouldn't tell anyone! She's going to kill me." Harry said worriedly. "Oh sorry, go on." Harry added quickly. "Well, we went outside near the Whomping Willow and kind of..." he hesitated and looked at the fire, then back at Harry. "Basically snogged." he said finally. Harry, began laughing. "R-Ron!" he gasped. "Aww! He's in love!" Harry teased. "Stop it Harry, it's not funny!" Ron said angrily. Harry just kept laughing. Ron rolled his eyes and changed the subject. "How was the dance?" he asked. "Alright." he said with a shrug. "Would it of been better if Cho was with you?" Ron asked with a smirk. Harry rolled his eyes, and I decided at this time that it was time to go to bed. I smiled as I slipped into my pajamas and into my bed, thinking about this amazing night. It seemed to have gone by so quickly. . .well, time flies when you're having fun, right?

Chapter Six

I woke up to see Hermione walking in, a smile on her face. I sat up. "Hey, Hermy. How was it?" I asked rubbing my eyes. "Amazing!" she said. "Absolutely amazing. I didn't see you though, where were you and Ron?" she asked, brushing out her hair. She was already in her pajamas. "Oh, no where special." I said. I didn't want Hermione to know, she might freak out on me. She put her hands on her hips. "Come on, Sydney you can tell me." she said. "I know for sure you weren't in there, I looked everywhere for you guys." she said. "Just tell me." she said. I hesitated, then spoke. "I...er...well Ron asked me if I truly did like him, since Harry had told him and I said yes and he led me outside near the Whomping Willow and we started....k....kissing." I said finally. Hermione put a hand on her mouth and gasped. "You kissed?!" she asked. I nodded. "But Filch had to ruin it. He came cos he heard us and I distracted him by throwing a rock and we went back to the castle and into the Common Room." I said. Hermione smiled. "That's so cute!" she said. I was surprised. "C...cute?!" I asked in disbelief. "Are you okay?" I asked. "Did you eat something you weren't supposed to?" I asked coming up to her and putting a hand on her forehead. "Oh stop it!" Hermione said firmly. "I just think it's cute, that's all!" she said. I nodded. "Alright..I'm going to bed now. Night." I said, giving her a hug and crawling back into bed.

"Sydney! Wake up! Come on! It's a new day!" Hermione was shaking me. Hadn't I just gone to sleep?! I groaned. "I'm tired!" I wined. "Come on! Breakfast time!" Hermione said. I got out of bed and got ready, then headed down to the common room to wait for Ron and Harry. They finally showed up, Ron rubbing his eyes and yawning. Harry looked nervous. I let Ron and Hermione go walk off together so I could talk to Harry. "Hey, it's alright that you told Ron. He'd find out anyway." I said with a shrug. Harry looked relieved. "Okay." he said smiling. We then walked down to the Great Hall, and found Ron and Hermione at the Gryffindor table. I sat next to Ron, and we exchanged glances with small smiles. With my free hand, I held his under the table as I ate.
