My name is Apple. Yes, Apple. Don't laugh! I didn't choose it! If you really want to be specific, my full name is Apple Dakota Sirius Remus Romulus Lupin. Bit of a mouthful really. I'm a rather odd girl, in many ways. One thing, I hate the Summer Holidays. Absolutely loath them. Second thing, I'm a witch. Not in the Hocus Pocus, Abracadabra way. Good grief, that's the fairy-tail way. Third, I hate my family. Hate my mum, Dakota, hate my dad, Romulus, hate my pain-in-the-butt-sneaky-simpering sister, Jane, who is in the same year as me. Never met my Uncle actually, Remus, so I can't actually judge him. Can't stand the lot of them, with their perfect, strict way of life. And fourth and finally, I'm a metamorphmagus. I often dress like a muggle, with neon hair to annoy the living daylight of my parents. That's my life... if you could call it that. Let's get on shall we?

'Go away.' I shot at my sister as we boarded the train.
'No way. I want to hang out with Harry Potter!' Jane said.
'Not a chance, shove off!' I retorted.
'Fine then, Freak!' she called, flouncing off.
'And proud of it!' I yelled.
I eventually found the compartment where Harry sat.
'You okay mate?' I asked sitting next to him.
'Not really.' he said.
'Is it to do with Sirius Black?' I asked in an undertone.
'Yeah.' he muttered.
I looked out the window, watching the rain pour down. It matched my mood. A few hours, a familiar person appeared at the door.
'Oh lord, Buzz off Jane!' I shouted.
Jane's green eyes gleamed.
'No! I want to hang out with Harry potter!' she cried.
'Can't you take a hint?' I asked, with a flick of my hand.
She flew back and the door shut. It went cold. The door opened, and Jane shot in and into my arms.
'I saw something moving out there!' she cried.
I looked at the trio.
'Alright, what did it look like?' I asked.
'Like that!' she cried, pointing at a figure.
I looked at the dementor. I stood up, pointing my hand at it.
'Concentrating on a happy memory.' I thought.
I thought of when I was going to Hogwarts. A silver eagle shot towards it, and out the corner of my eye, I saw Lupin had his wand pointed at the dementor, which was emitting a silver glow. The thing scampered, and the lights came back on. I lowered my hand. I brushed my red hair out my eyes.
'What was that?' asked Harry, sitting up.
After explaing everything, Lupin went to talk to the driver. A few moments later, he came back.
'Miss Lupin, may I have a word?' he asked.
'Sure.' I said, getting up.
He shut the door behind me.
'Hello Uncle.' I said cheerfully.
'How did you know?' he asked.
'I didn't. I just guessed seing as you have the initial R. Lupin, which is the same as my dad had.' I replied.
'Alright then Apple. That sorts that out.' he said, opening the door so I could go back in.
My sister already had her Ravenclaw robes on. Another way I was different. I was a Gryfindor. I leaned back in my seat, and watched the world go by.

If I ever survive Divination, I will personally make sure to kill my father. I stared into a tea cup.
'Anything yet?' asked Hermione.
'A pile of soggy tea leaves.' I replied.
I shook them round.
'Does anyone need help with their tealeaves?' asked Professor.
'No thanks, I can see what happens next. I have a over-sized, greasy bat with a giant nose in my future.' I muttered to Ron and Harry.
They sniggered as Professor came over.
'Give me the cup.' she said.
'What's betting she drops it?' I asked.
She took it and dropped it.
'That was just a guess.' I said.
'Are you sure there is no seer blood in your family Apple?' asked Ron.
'Hey! I'm insulted.' I replied.
When the bell finally went, I was first out.
'I need food!' I moaned.
'You're worse then Ron.' said Harry.
'Is that even possible?' I asked in surprise.
'Hey!' said Ron, catching us up.
I smiled and wandered off, outside.
'Immobulus!' I said, pointing my wand at the willow.
It froze as I crawled through a gap in the tree. I had found a small place when I was in my first year. I went up the stairs, and into the room. To my ultimate surprise, I found a small package, lying there. I sat on the dusty bed,opening it. There was a note, and something wrapped in red tissue. I opened the tissue, to find a beautiful ruby necklace. I put it on, and read the note.

Dear Apple,
It has been a torment knowing you have been growing up, and I haven't been there to give you the love of a father. But soon, I will be reunited with you, and I'll be able to give you that love. I cannot tell you who I am. Just remember, I will always love you, my Apple Pie.
Dad.

It wasn't my father's handwriting.

My head was spinning. I stuffed the letter in my bag, and scrambled out and back to the castle, brushing my hair (rainbow this time) out my face and rushed back to the castle for DADA. While I ran, I was reminded of a incident as a child.

I curled up in my room, listening to my parent's arguing.
'You can't keep it from her forever!' yelled my Mum.
'Dakota, the truth will hurt her! She may not be my daughter, but she means as much to me as Jane, if not more! We took her in, and we promised him we would care for her!' shouted Dad.
'Romulus! This is madness!' screamed Mum.

I lined up, and walked in. I sat in a corner all lesson. I couldn't think of anything amusing to turn my deepest fear into. My deepest fear, you ask? I was scared, scared of people finding out how soft I was inside. My surface of sarcasm and toughness, my I-couldn't-care-less-what-you-think attitude hid a small, sobbing girl, who was tired and sick of being strong and not crying. At the end, over the noise, Uncle called.
'Miss Lupin, can I have a word?'
I slouched over to him. He waited until everyone had gone. The he looked at me.
'Why didn't you join in?' he asked.
'Other things on my mind.' I mumbled.
'Like what?' he persisted gently.
I dug the note out my bag and handed it to him.
'I don't know who wrote it. I'm scared, I really am.' I admitted in a small voice.
I barley knew Uncle, but I felt like I could tell him anything. He looked at me, and as if he understood, pulled me into a hug. Usually when I'm hugged, I wiggle away or stand stiff. This time, I gave up and howled against his chest. The small girl in me had won this battle.

I sat on my bed in my dorm, twirling a ribbon in the air with a finger, the letter laying next to me. My brain was whirring, trying to work out who could of sent it. I gave in, and lay back on my bed, and fell straight asleep.

A man looked upon the tower that cast it's shadow over him. He was getting closer to the castle. Soon, he would be reunited with his daughter once more.

It's greeat. Update more, I am definitely intrigued. post more soon!

'Apple?' said a voice.
I opened my eyes to see Hermione's face looming over me.
'Bloody hell Hermione!' I yelped, scrambling up. 'Personal space!'
She sat on the edge of my bed, the letter clutched in her hand
'Do you have any clue who sent this?' she asked.
I shook my head.
'I wish I did.' I sighed.
Tears try to leak out.
'Apple? There's no need to bottle your feelings up. It's okay to cry.' said Hermione.
'I don't like to. I try not to, not in public.' I whispered.

Snape looked down at my acid-green potion.
'Well done, Miss Lupin.' he said.
'You sound surprised.' I said with a grin.
Snape looked at me, with a small smile on his face, before resuming his normal scowl and sweeping off to Draco.
'Was that a -' said Harry.
'Smile?' asked Ron incredulously.
'I think it was.' said Hermione.
'Bugger my giddy aunt.' I said.

I sat outside the Portrait hole, after everyone had gone to Hogsmead, wearing a new outfit that my dad, Romulus, had sent me out the blue. I fiddled with my necklace that I wore, the letter laying next to me.
'How are you dear?' asked the Fat Lady.
'Confused.' I replied.
'Oooo, don't I know that feeling. I remember, when I was younger, and alive, I had two supposed fathers. One had raised me since I was a baby, the other was my real father. I had to pick.' she said.
'Really? That's what is happing to me! What did you pick? How did you pick?'I said.
'I listened to my heart.' she said with a smile.
'Oh yeah, helpful.' I said.
'It's easier then you think.' she said.
I heard footsteps, and looked up to see a man with shaggy black hair.
'Oh help! Let us in!' I said, scrambling to my feet.
The man had reached us by now. He looked at my necklace.
'Apple? My little Apple Pie?' he asked in a scratchy voice.
I gasped, the letter slipping out my hand.
'D-D-Dad?' I gasped.

The Fat Lady gawped at me. I ran past the man.
'Apple! Wait!' he called, running after me.
I didn't stop until I bumped into Snape.
'Apple? What's wrong?' he asked, grabbing my shoulder's gently.
I shook my head and hid behind Snape as the man came charging into view. Snape looked at the man, and drew his wand, a look of utmost disgust on his face.
'Apple? Come here.' said the man.
I shook my head.
'It's okay Apple, it's okay.' said Snape softly, patting my shoulder.
'What,' said a voice, 'is going on here?'
I smiled as Remus came into view. The man took on look at Remus, turned and left. I breathed a sigh of relief.
'Are you okay Apple? Did he hurt you?' asked Snape, turning to me.
'I'm fine.' I whispered, shaking slightly.
Snape did something very unexpected. He gave me a hug. I stood there, my head on his chest, amazed. First a smile, now a hug? What next, a kiss?
Snape let me go, embarrassed, turned and swept off.
'What the fresh hell?' I asked as soon as he was out of ear-shot.
Remus was looking at the spot where the man had disappeared. He turned to me.
'Apple. Thank heaven's you're okay.' said Remus, hugging me tight.
'That man, he called me his 'Apple Pie.'' I whispered.
'You don't have to worry about him. I'll protect you. And, from the looks of it, Snape will as well.'

I lay in my sleeping bag on my back. I heard my name.
'... What about Apple?' asked Snape.
'Indeed Severus. I saw you with her earlier today. I never knew you cared for the girl so much.' said Dumbledore.
There was a silence.
'Neither did I to be truthful.' said Snape.
I heard their footsteps and shut my eyes. They stopped just at me.
'She looks so peaceful.' said Snape, in a soft voice.
'Really Snape, this girl seems to have brought out the nicer side in you.' said Dumbledore.
'She's in terrible danger. She knows it. I can't be around all the time, and neither can Lupin, to protect her from him.' said Snape.
'She need's to learn how to protect herself.' said Dumbledore.
There was a pause, and I felt something slip into my hand. I closed my fist around the cold object.
'But I can watch her.' said Snape, as they walked off.
I opened my eyes, to see a necklace, a round orb contained in a metal cadge. I gave a tiny smile, and slipped to sleep.

I lay in bed, trying to sleep. My necklace hung round my neck. I heard a scream. Jumping out of bed, I ran downstairs to see a familiar man run out the dormitory.
'Him again!' I thought.

I stayed up late that night, too scared, too frightened to sleep.
'You look terrible.' was Hermione greeting the next day.
'Good Morning to you too.' I yawned, pouring cornflakes into my bowl.
I saw security getting tighter round the Castle. I was simply glad to get rid of the ridiculous Knight and have the Fat Lady back, even if she couldn't sing.

Okay, I wasn't planning on revealing who Apple's father was just yet.. But I'm getting as bored as you are not saying it. I'm surprised we haven't worked it out yet.

Time flew, and soon it was June. I sat on a rock in the grounds. My life was changing. I wasn't sure what to think anymore. Suddenly Ron went flying past, followed by Harry and Hermione.
'What the...' I said, getting up and running after them.
We stopped at the Whomping Willow. Ron leapt and seemed to have caught something.
'Harry Hermione Apple, Run!' yelled Ron, pointing behind us.
We spun round.
'It's the Grim!' said Ron as we looked at a shaggy dog.
The dog barked and bounded towards us. It leapt over us and headed for Ron.
'Ron!' I yelled.
My feet seemed to have a mind of their own as they ran, dodging branches and after the dog and Ron into the whomping willow. I chased them up the stairs and into the room. I faced the dog.
'I think you know me.' I said quietly.
It changed, into a man.
'I want the full truth! All of it!' I said, wand pointed at Sirius Black. 'Who I am, who my mum is, and why I've been raised up by Romulus!'
'Okay. You deserve to know. Your real name is Apple Remus Lilac Sirius Black, my daughter and god-daugher to Remus Lupin. Your mother was called Lilac Smith, and you were raised by Romulus because I was sent to Azkaban for supposedly murdering Peter and your mother. But I didn't. I would never kill Liliac, I would never purposely leave you alone. You're my baby girl, I would never want to do anything to hurt you in anyway.' said Sirius.
I believed him. Part of me wanted to, even if his story had made no sense. I smiled, and Sirius, sorry, Dad, took that as a green light and rushed over and hugged me. I nestled my head into his shirt, tears leaking out.
'I've never stopped thinking about you.' he said, stroking my hair.

YAYAYAY! Okay, I realized who it was AFTER i made my last post....

Oh boy, Snape is going to freak out!!!!!

Harry and Hermione rushed in. I stayed with my Dad. They spun and saw me.
'Apple! Get away from him!' cried Hermione.
I shook my head. Dad had his arm round me.
'Expelliarmus!' cried Remus, bursting in.
I froze.
'Ah Sirius, looking rather ragged aren't we? Finally the flesh reflects the madness within.' said Remus.
'Well, you'd know all about the madness within, wouldn't you Remus?' said Dad.

Argh soz it's short, I had 5 miniutes
