I totally can see her dragging her feet, and rolling her eyes behind Severus and her mothers' back. So funny.
This sentence was written so well! You know that her mind isn't on the dresses at all. This quite possibly is my favorite sentence in the chapter. It is so simple, but the the statement she is really making is a big deal. Is she just being sarcastic, and says this because she knows her mom wants to make a big impression on the Malfoys?(one in particular) Or is she thinking of Sirius and decides to wear green to spite him for what he said? Or is she thinking of Lucius, and wants to acknowledge his stature by wearing green for Slytherin? At any rate you gave me something to wonder about until you post again. Great work Jazz. Thankyou very much Connie! Your praise means a lot to me
Why did she choose green? I'm sure it'll all be revealed

“Izabella! Will you hurry up?” Severus demanded, banging on the bathroom door forcefully. Izabella rolled her eyes and fastened a towel around her damp hair before yanking open the door.
“Finally.” Severus said, rushing into the bathroom and pushing Izabella out before he slammed the door. She sighed and pulled her light, cotton robe tighter around her slim waist before heading downstairs, humming under her breath.
“Good morning,” she chirped as she reached the kitchen where her mother was sat enjoying a steaming cup of tea. Her mother raised an eyebrow slightly as she returned the greeting, watching her daughter closely as she bustled about in the cupboards.
“You're very lively this morning.” Eileen said as Izabella waved her wand at the coffee and bit into a piece of toast hungrily.
“What do you mean?”
“You've been miserable for the past few days and you finally seem to be cheering up.”
Izabella laughed and sat at the table, cradling her hot mug in her hands.
“Looking forward to today?” Eileen asked casually. Izabella shrugged.
“I suppose.”
“I think it's wonderful that the Malfoys-”
“Mother, can you have one conversation without mentioning the Malfoy family?” Izabella sighed. Eileen blushed slightly.
“Don't be silly Izabella.” she mumbled as she stood up and made her way into the living room. Izabella chuckled and rolled her eyes then went back up stairs, blasting out her music and not thinking about Lily or Sirius for the first time in days.
Evening came, and Izabella glanced out of the window at the summer sky which was dimming in colours of pink and orange and blue, smudged together like an oil painting.
She smiled then shimmied into her new dress and admired her reflection. She had managed to find a Slytherin green dress which was not a typical ballgown, but was extremely regal and elegant. It was sleeveless yet modest and left her chest bare to display the dainty silver and diamond necklace which Severus had bought her for her fifteenth birthday.
The dress was made of a fine chiffon material which draped over her figure pleasantly and swirled around her with a fairly long train. Her skin shimmered with a pale glow and her dark hair was scooped up, a few tendrils loose about her face, her eyes dark and her lips stained lightly red. She smiled then made her way downstairs carefully in her black heels, smiling at Severus who was waiting at the bottom in his smart black robes.
“You look lovely.” he said, bowing in an exaggerated manner. Izabella chuckled and tugged straight the collar of his robes.
“As do you. Now can we go?” Izabella said as she checked her reflection in the mirror by the door. “The sooner we go the sooner we can leave.”
“If you stop complaining you might actually have fun.” Eileen said as she walked out of the kitchen, smoothing her modest, dark purple dress.
Izabella rolled her eyes and mumbled under her breath as she followed them into the sitting room. Eileen grabbed a handful of Floo Powder, stepped into the fireplace and said 'Malfoy Manor' in a clear voice. There was a flash of green and she was gone. Before stepping into the fire, Severus turned and smiled slightly at his sister.
“She's right you know. You might enjoy yourself tonight.”
Izabella rolled her eyes and pushed him forward. He chuckled and grabbed a handful of Floo Powder, and with one last grin he shouted his destination and was engulfed in the green flames.
Izabella sighed and caught sight of herself in the mirror that was hanging on the opposite wall. She pushed a piece of hair back into place and bit her lip slightly.
“Have fun.” she told herself sternly. She took a deep breath then threw the Floo Powder into the fireplace.
“Malfoy Manor!”
Izabella was swallowed by a warm sensation as she was whizzed through fireplaces. She was pushed forward slightly and landed heavily on a dark wooden floor. Her arm was caught as she wobbled and she smiled towards the man in black servant robes as he steadied her.
“Thankyou,” she said politely as she brushed herself off. He bowed slightly then returned to the fire to wait on the next guest, leaving Izabella to glance around the room.
Lining the walls were six fireplaces, each guarded by two servants in identical black robes. Above the hearths were large moving portraits, who sneered down on most of the guests as they arrived, their faces pale and their white blond hair relflecting the green flames.
“Izabella,” came her mother's voice. She turned to find her waiting by the doorway. Severus gave her an encouraging smile as he took his mother's arm then stood patiently behind the large oak door. The doors were suddenly flung open and Severus and Eileen stepped out into lavishly decorated ballroom.
“Ms Eileen Snape and Master Severus Snape.” called a voice from just inside the room. Izabella raised an eyebrow and surpressed a grin as she watched them flounce into the room, greeting people that surrounded them. Izabella stepped forward expectantly.
“Miss Izabella Prince.”
She stepped into the room, swallowing slightly as heads turned in her direction and bowed in acknowledgement. She plastered a smile to her face and continued moving amongst the guests, following her mother's path whilst concentrating on walking without falling over.
“Izabella.”
She turned and stopped herself from rolling her eyes as Regulus approached her, taking her hand and bestowing a kiss on it.
“You look wonderful.”
“Regulus.” she replied, flashing a brief smile as she took back her hand.
“Ah Mother, Father. This is Izabella Prince.” he introduced as Orion and Walburga Black joined them. Walburga's face was upturned in a horrid sneer that seemed to be permantley etched on her face. Her husband was small and plump and as she shook their hands, Izabella wondered how someone as handsome as Sirius could possibly be related to the Pureblood maniacs infront of her.
“Looking good Izabella.”
Unable to hold back the sigh that escaped her lips, Izabella rolled her eyes as she turned to face Avery, Mulciber and his various other cronies.
“Green suits you.” he said with a wink. As she opened her mouth to respond a cold voice came from behind her.
“Indeed it does.”
Izabella smiled at Lucius and he returned the gesture before turning to glare at Avery.
“Isn't there somewhere you need to be?”
Avery nodded slightly and gestured for the rest to follow him, Regulus joined them and they soon disappeared into the crowd, Lucius' steel grey eyes following them. He turned back to the Blacks and smiled charmingly.
“Would you mind if I steal Miss Prince away from you?”
“Not at all Mister Malfoy.” Orion said with a respectful bow, taking his wife's arm and leading her away. Lucius turned back to Izabella and his face warmed.
“You look radiant.” he said, stepping forward to place a kiss on her cheek.
“You don't look too bad yourself, Mister Malfoy.” she said with a grin, admiring his black robes and emerald green cravat. He chuckled and extended his hand towards her.
“Would you join me for a dance?” he offered. Izabella smiled and took his hand.
“I'd love to.”
Lucius led her over to a large dancefloor and spun her into his arms, lightly placing one hand on her waist whilst keeping hold of one of her other hands. Izabella grinned as they swayed around the dancefloor to the music.
“It's like going back in time.” Izabella said. Lucius chuckled and glanced around.
“There's nothing wrong with a bit of tradition.”
“There is a lot wrong with some traditions.”
“Such as?”
“Muggleborns and the way they are treated by Purebloods.” she said simply.
Lucius looked over her head for a moment, his jaw clenched then he smiled and stroked her hand with his thumb.
“You're a Pureblood.”
“Yeah and my best friend is a Muggleborn.”
After a roll of her eyes, Izabella ducked her head under Lucius' arm as he twirled her, using her other hand to hold her dress so she wouldn't trip. With a self concious cough she leant forward towards him.
“Why is everybody staring at us?” she whispered in his ear. Lucius looked around then smiled and pulled her closer against him.
“Because, Miss Prince, you are dancing with Witch Weekly's Most Charming Bachelor.”
Izabella slapped his arm lightly as she threw her head back and laughed loudly and he grinned, winking at her cheekily.
His hand slid down from her shoulders to rest at the bottom of her back gently. He pulled her closer towards him and smiled as she snaked her arms around his neck. Lucius' other hand lifted to stroke her cheek for a moment before a loud bell echoed around the Hall.
With a sigh, Lucius pulled back and offered his arm.
“Dinner is served.”

Hey Jazz. I really enjoyed your writing in this chapter. I can't help but imagine this as a movie I'm watching the way you describe everything so well. And I don't mean any of the HP movies. This is much better. Quote:
“Mother, can you have one conversation without mentioning the Malfoy family?” Izabella sighed. Eileen blushed slightly.
I had to laugh at that, because it would normally be the parent saying something like that to the daughter. Quote:
“Dinner is served.”
Arg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why is that, Dinner is served, at the most inopportune time?
Great chapter Jazz. I'll be watching for your next. |

“Are you sure I can sit here? Everybody is staring at me.” Izabella hissed in Lucius' ear as she fiddled with the numerous forks in front of her. Lucius chuckled and inclined his head towards a group of sneering faces halfway along the table.
“They would be the Blacks, cousins to Regulus. Bellatrix and Narcissa. There was a third sister but... well she married a Muggle.”
“I remember those two from school. Sirius hates them.”
Izabella coughed and dropped her head slightly as Lucius clenched his jaw. She took a glance from underneath her eyes lashes and watched the two girls and their faces change as Lucius looked at them. When his gaze returned to Izabella, the Black sisters continued to glare at her.
She rolled her eyes and turned her attention to the seat at the top of the table beside Lucius, as the elder Malfoy took a seat. Accompanying him and sitting opposite Lucius and Izabella was the Minister of Magic and his wife. Raising her eyebrow slightly, she looked towards Lucius but he just grinned.
“Miss Prince, it's lovely to see you again.”
“You too Abraxas.” she said with a smile.
“That would be Lord Malfoy to you young lady.” said the Minister with a chuckle.
“Don't be silly Minister, Izabella is practically family.” Abraxas said as he raised a glass in Izabella's direction.
Izabella smiled then arched an eyebrow at Lucius, who was biting his lip to hold back a laugh as he filled Izabella's glass.
The doors were opened once more and a group entered, lead by Severus and Regulus who were talking in low voices. Izabella frowned and watched them hurry to their seats, Severus pausing to nod at Lucius.
“Where have they been?” Izabella asked, narrowing her eyes at Lucius who just shrugged and engaged her in the exclusive conversation at the top of the table.
Throughout dinner, plates of well prepared food were brought out by finely dressed butlers and placed in front of the guests. Izabella ploughed through the food, Lucius whispering help with cutlery and etiquette in her ear.
Izabella was constantly involved in conversation and often engaged several people at once whilst telling stories of Hogwarts and wedding planning.
She often felt watched, glancing up to find Abraxas leaning back in his chair and smiling at her, or Eileen nodding in encouragement from further down the long table.
Lucius appeared to be interested in her all night, laughing at her jokes, listening to her stories and leaving affectionate touches down the length of her arm.
After Abraxas made a brief speech thanking the guests, everyone began to return to the ballroom. Izabella smiled and took Lucius' hand as he pulled back her chair and helped her to stand up.
“Care for a walk in the garden?”
“I'd love to. I need to burn those fifteen courses off.”
Lucius chuckled loudly and wrapped his arm around her waist gently, leading her through the large glass doors and out into the darkening summer evening.

Hey Jazz. Izabella is so natural. I wonder if that is what draws Lucius to her. Of course she is beautiful, I just mean that I wonder since all his acquaintances are rich snobs, that Izabella being natural and fresh is the endearing quality that he sees in her. Quote:

Hogwarts RPG Name: Megara Kostas First Year | Chapter Eighteen - The Start Of Something New 16th July 1978
Lucius and Izabella wandered through the neatly trimmed garden, past the tall trees which were swaying lightly in the breeze and the well-kept flowers which injected a pop of colour into the green scenery.
They reached an ornate stone bench in the middle of a clearing which was surrounded by leafy trees, over hanging the large pond which shimmered in the setting sun.
The summer days were long and the sun had only just began to set, sending streaks of colour across the dimming sky.
Izabella sighed contentedly as she sat down, gathering up the folds of her dress to keep them clean.
“This place is beautiful.”
“It was my mother's.” Lucius said as he sat beside her, dropping his arm over the back of the bench behind her.
“How did she die?” she asked gently.
“From living with my father probably.” he replied with a shrug.
“Lucius, you're very harsh on your father.” Izabella said sternly. He chuckled in response and lifted a hand to brush loose strands of hair off her face.
“Perhaps you are too kind to him.”
“I like to support the minority. It's more of a challenge.” she winked.
“Like Muggleborns?” he asked, arching an eyebrow slightly. Izabella shrugged, unnerved by the change in his voice.
“I don't support Muggleborns. I'm indifferent; I don't understand why they are persecuted.”
“Oh Izabella.” Lucius said, his tone patronising. “One day you'll understand.”
“Understand what?”
With a sigh he stood up and walked over to the pond. For a few moments he stared into the surface, watching the ripples as they disturbed the peace of the water.
“Things are changing.” he said in a quiet voice. “The Wizarding World is changing.”
“Why?”
“Don't worry, it won't affect you.” Lucius said, smiling over to her.
Izabella clenched her teeth and stood up, firmly folding her arms across her chest.
“I am not a child Lucius.” she snapped. He watched her closely, his head tilted to one side and a small smile playing across the corner of his lips.
“No. You certainly aren't.” he said softly. He sighed and walked back towards her, ducking his head slightly so it was on level with her. “I'll explain everything soon.”
“But-” she began to protest, but Lucius placed a finger across her lips.
“Now is not the time. I will tell you, I promise.”
Izabella narrowed her eyes, keeping her arms crossed.
“Fine.” she snapped, restraining herself from stamping her foot.
“You are a fascinating woman Izabella Prince.” Lucius mummered as he smiled fondly at her. Izabella dropped her head slightly to hide the blush that stained her cheeks. “If it's okay with you, I'd love to take you out sometime? Perhaps we could go to Diagon Alley to get your school supplies?”
Izabella groaned loudly.
“Do not remind me that I have to go back there for another year.”
Lucius chuckled and brushed his finger across her cheek lightly.
“I could visit you, maybe during your Hogsmede visits?”
“You would come to Hogsmede to visit me?” Izabella asked quietly.
“If that is what you want of course.”
“That would be great.”
“Fantastic.”
For a long moment they stared at each other, Izabella swallowing loudly as she felt her heart hammering her rib cage.
Lucius' hand was resting on the top of her arm, burning her flesh yet making her shiver with anticipation.
She felt his warm breath on her face and closed her eyes as she felt him move closer.
There was a sigh above her... then she shuddered as the cool air hit her heated skin. Her eyes flew open and Lucius was standing a few feet away, his arm extended politely.
“We should be getting back. We have been gone quite a while.”
Izabella nodded and accepted his arm, allowing him to lead her back towards the house, but keeping a safe distance between the two bodies.

Hey Jazz. This was very well written, very entertaining, very interesting, and VERY intense! It's odd that Lucius seemingly dislikes his dad, but is he different in any way other than just being younger? Honestly, I have to be careful, because he is so charming I almost started liking him. I do like how good he is to Izabella at the moment. I can see how she was swept off her feet. Great chapter Jazz. I'll be watching for your next. OH! We're going out of state Wed. If you write any more and I don't comment right away, it is because we are away at a Memorial Service. Catch ya later. |

Good question, sorry I'll try to describe him more in the next chapters.
I imagine him like a young Jason Isaacs, as I think he plays the character perfectly in the film. Very tall, compared to Izabella who I imagine to be quite small and petite and I think he's well built, quite bulky with muscle His hair is platinum blonde but not as long, more like chin length, and pushed off his face as only rich people can seem to pull off He is always well dressed and wears an expensive cologne which is masculine and strong. I picture him very pale, with strong Roman-like features; a strong jawline, high cheekbones and all together, very good looking He doesn't have the 'sneer' yet, when he's around Izabella he smiles most of the time and is much happier at this point in time
Hope that helps!

Hogwarts RPG Name: Megara Kostas First Year | Chapter Nineteen – Dates and Surprises 24th July 1978
After a week of exchanging letters and brief meetings, (Severus usually kicked her out after a few minutes, Lucius was 'his friend' apparently...), it was finally the day of Izabella and Lucius' date. If it was a date. Izabella had been debating that all week.
She had woken early, yet was somehow still running late. The doorbell rang and she gave up, ruffling her hair slightly before grabbing her bag, racing down the stairs and pulling open the door.
“Woah!” she exclaimed as she was engulfed by the figure on the step. She caught sight, and a mouthful, of red hair and pulled back from the hug. “Lily!”
“Of course it's me!” her best friend squealed, pulling her into another embrace.
“What are you doing here?”
“I've just got back, obviously, and came straight to see you.”
“That's great... And you're all here.” she said, plastering a smile onto her face as she spotted James, Sirius, Remus and Peter. “Well... come on in then.”
The newlyweds and their friends piled past her and into the living room, Izabella heading for the kitchen before Sirius even crossed the threshold. She waved her wand at the mugs and the kettle as she bit her lip nervously. Her eyes kept darting towards the front door as she stirred the coffee. She carried the tray into the living room and placed it on the table, hovering by the window.
“Were you going out somewhere?” Lily asked, gesturing to the bag which was still thrown over Izabella's shoulder.
“To see you of course.” Izabella lied, taking a seat next to her best friend and listening to her stories whilst keeping one ear trained on the front door.
Suddenly the doorbell echoed throughout the house and Izabella jumped up, racing out of the living room and slamming the door shut behind her. She pulled back the front door and fell into Lucius' arms, wrapping her hands around his neck.
“I'll be late more often if this is the welcome I get.” he chuckled, squeezing her waist gently.
“I'm sorry, I'm really, really sorry.”
“Izabella what's happened? Are you okay?” he asked, frowning.
“I'm fine. It's just, I can't make it today.”
“Oh...”
“I'm sorry Lucius. Lily got back from her honeymoon today and I totally forgot and now everyone is sitting in my house talking about beaches and waiters and I feel truly awful-”
“Izabella it's fine.”
“It is?”
“Of course. You spend some time with your friends and we'll go out on another day. Tomorrow if you're free.”
“Yes, I'm free. Tomorrow would be great.” she said beaming.
“Right well, same time tomorrow then.” he smiled. Izabella reached up and kissed his cheek briefly before smiling widely once more, saying goodbye and returning to the living room.
“Who was that?” Lily asked.
“Who?” Izabella said, smiling as she took her seat again, feeling much brighter than before.
“At the door?” said Lily, rolling her eyes.
“Oh, it was someone for Severus.” she said, waving her hand absentmindedly. “So, the fish restaurant?”
“I want to hear what you've been up to.” Lily said with a grin.
“What do you mean?” Izabella asked self-consciously.
“Just because you don't speak to us anymore, doesn't mean we don't know what you're up to.” Sirius said moodily.
“Shut up Sirius. I've been busy.”
“We know.”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
Sirius just shook his head, but before Izabella could respond, Remus passed the newspaper he was reading.
“Page 7.” he said quietly.
“The social pages? Why would... Oh.”
Izabella stopped as she caught sight of the moving picture that was dominating the page. A young girl with dark hair and a green chiffon dress stood in the tight embrace of Lucius Malfoy. They stared into each other's eyes for a moment then she laughed and hit his arm playfully, looking very comfortable together under the flashing headline; “The Manor needs a Lady.”
“How did you even get in to a Malfoy party?” James asked as he read the article over her shoulder. Izabella rolled her eyes.
“I am a Pureblood. Anyway, I told you my mother is friendly with them.”
“Apparently it's not just your mother.” Sirius grumbled.
“Oh shut up Sirius.”
“They are very exclusive parties Izabella...” Remus said gently.
“Not as exclusive as Lucius Malfoy. He never dances with anybody.” Sirius interjected.
“You seem to know all of this pretty well Sirius. Have you been studying the social pages?” she teased.
“No! I was born into all of this remember? I didn't have to buy my way in.”
“Yes Sirius, because I could clearly buy the Malfoys affections.” she said sarcastically, gesturing to the modest building that housed them.
“Can you two stop arguing for one minute?” Lily said with a sigh. Izabella folded her arms sulkily, ignoring the glares Sirius threw at her.
“So are you ready for school Izabella?” Remus asked at an obvious attempt to change the subject. Izabella groaned.
“Please do not remind me that whilst you are all buying houses and getting jobs I will be stuck in a classroom.”
“Oh yes, aren't we the lucky ones.” Sirius said jokingly. Izabella opened her mouth to retort but Lily quickly pulled out photographs to distract the arguing pair.
By nightfall, it was just like old times. The group sat outside on the grass of the small garden, the remains of their picnic scattered around them amongst the pictures and memories.
Lily lay on James' chest with her feet in Izabella's lap, whilst Izabella avoided the stare Sirius was sending her from across the blanket.
They sat looking up at the stars, their laughter ringing throughout the night air and making Izabella hate change more than ever.

*falls in love*
Well, now I'm picturing Eric from True Blood in the earlier episodes. BUT a bit shorter... and more Lucius looking in the face. Thanks *continues to read with a new image*
- Oh I just read it lovely chapter, as usual! can't wait for the next chapter

“Severus! I am going to kill you.” Izabella yelled from the kitchen where she was fighting with the dirty plates. “If you leave your plates in the sink one more time, I swear!”
“Oh shut up Iz.”
“I mean it Sev. I've got dirty water all down my new blouse and now-”
Izabella spun on her heel as Severus entered the kitchen and flushed red at the guest that followed him.
“Lucius is here.” Severus announced, a sly smile on his face.
Izabella narrowed her eyes at him then turned to Lucius and smiled.
“I think she's being serious Severus, you'd better get washing.” he teased, winking at Izabella as he leant casually against the door frame. She rolled her eyes, but a grin spread across her face as she threw the cloth at her brother.
“No best friends and honeymoon pictures today then?” Lucius asked, tilting his head to one side. Izabella chuckled.
“Not today. I just need to change, I'll be quick.”
“Take your time, it's fine.” Lucius said with a smile as he sat by Severus at the kitchen table.
Izabella rushed up the stairs, pulling off her ruined blouse and throwing it onto the washing pile in the corner. She tore through her wardrobe, pulling out different items of clothing roughly and holding them up against herself in the mirror.
Eventually she settled on a dark blue skirt which fell to her knees and rested on her waist, and a cream blouse made of a soft, thin material. She ran a hand through her hair, grabbed her bag then made her way down the stairs, stopping when she heard low voices coming from the kitchen, where the door was standing slightly open.
“I'm just not sure Lucius, it all seems a bit extreme.” Severus said. Izabella frowned and crept off the bottom step carefully to avoid the creaking floorboards.
“You must understand Severus, if he asks for something done, he expects it to be done quickly.”
“But this is Rodolphus Lestrange we're talking about, everyone knows he isn't the brightest spark.”
“Well perhaps he should of considered that before he joined up.”
Just then, Izabella tripped, trapping her ankle in the small table which sat in the hallway during her attempt to hear more of the conversation. She crashed to the floor amongst various curses and the bang of her head hitting the wall.
There were scrapes from the kitchen as Lucius and Severus pushed back their chairs and hurried into the hallway. Lucius bent down by her head and leant over Izabella, his expression concerned as his fingertips fluttered over her head gently. Severus just rolled his eyes and sighed.
“You're an idiot.”
“I tripped! It's that stupid table. I told her not to put it there, it's just in the way!” Izabella yelled, sitting up and groaning.
She clutched the back of her head where it had begun to ache and yanked her foot out from the table. Flexing it slightly she found it didn't hurt and attempted to stand before Lucius took hold of her arms to steady her.
“Perhaps you should lie still, you banged your head pretty hard.” he said gently.
“Might have knocked some sense into her.” Severus mumbled.
“Shut it Severus.” she snapped as she stood and smoothed out her clothing. “We going?”
“Are you sure-?”
“We are not cancelling again.” she said firmly. “Tell Mum I'll be home later.” she called to Severus as she left the house and stood on the driveway, her arms folded tightly and her jaw clenched to ease the pain in her head.
Lucius left the house, shutting the door behind him and taking Izabella's arm.
“You okay?”
“I'm fine.” she snapped. Lucius raised his eyebrows causing Izabella to sigh. “Yes, thank you. I'm okay.”
“Excellent.” he smiled, then grasped hold of her hand and disapparated into Diagon Alley.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Megara Kostas First Year | Chapter Twenty-One - The Date 25th July 1978
The day was spent browsing shops for Izabella's school supplies, Lucius often picking up extras and refusing to let her pay herself. Izabella drew the line when Lucius dragged her to the Quidditch shop and attempted to buy her the new Nimbus.
“Please Izabella, you're Head Girl. You should have a good broom.”
“You got Head Girl? Congratulations Iz!”
Izabella turned at the sound of the voice and smiled as Scott approached her, a Ravenclaw in her year.
“I haven't actually told anyone yet...” she said, throwing at glare at Lucius.
“Neither have I.” Scott said with a grin. Izabella's forehead creased and she tilted her head at him questioningly. “I got Head Boy.”
Izabella gasped slightly and threw her arms around his neck as he picked her up and spun her around.
“Scott that's great! I thought it was going to be someone awful.”
“The Gryffindors won't be happy.” he said with a chuckle.
“They never are.” Izabella replied. Scott threw his head back and laughed as Lucius cleared his throat.
“Sorry to interrupt, but we have lunch reservations.” he said coldly.
“Oh right. Well I'll see you on the train Iz.” Scott said. Izabella smiled and reached up to kiss his cheek.
“See you soon.”
Scott nodded politely in Lucius' direction then left the shop.
“Are you going to let me buy you the broom?”
“No Lucius.”
“Fine. Then I pay for lunch.”
“So, where are we going for lunch?” Izabella asked rolling her eyes.
“A restaurant called La Prima.” he said, leading them out of the shop and wrapping his arm tightly around her waist. There was a bright flash in front of them and Lucius sighed.
“Rita Skeeter's photographer. I believe we will be in the Prophet tomorrow.”
“Oh great.” Izabella said sarcastically. “Then all of my friends will know.”
“Know what?”
“That I went out with you.”
“Is it a problem?”
“To them it is.” she said with a sigh.
“And to you?” he asked quietly.
“Lucius. I wouldn't be here if I didn't want to be.”
He looked down at her and nodded slightly as they stopped outside of a building with silver chairs and tables outside, where people were eating and enjoying the last of the July sunshine. Izabella saw another flash and grabbed Lucius' hand, pulling him inside of the restaurant.
A waiter scurried over as he spotted Lucius and nodded his head politely to Izabella.
“Master Malfoy, we have your table waiting.”
“Excellent.” Lucius said as they reached a booth at the back of the restaurant where it was lit by candlelight.
He gestured for Izabella to sit and she slid along the bench seat, placing her bag next to her. The table was circular, meaning that Lucius was able to sit beside her on the comfy bench. The waiter handed them both a menu and Izabella opened it and scanned the meals quickly as she heard her stomach begin to rumble.
“Can I get you a drink Master Malfoy and Miss...?”
“Izabella.” she said with a smile. He nodded slightly, hiding his discomfort at using her first name. She grinned.
“Prince. Miss Prince.”
Lucius chuckled.
“Wine would be fantastic thank you.”
The waiter hurried off and Izabella resumed her study of the menu. Lucius sat and watched her, a smile on his lips and his menu untouched.
“Aren't you going to look?” she asked.
“I am looking.” he grinned.
“At the menu.” Izabella said with a roll of her eyes.
“I know what I want.”
“Do you come here often then?” she asked as she folded her menu and placed it on the table.
“It's my father's favourite restaurant.” he replied.
The waiter returned and placed the wine cooler in the centre of the table. He placed two glasses down and filled them with wine expertly.
“Are you ready to order?” he asked, pulling out his notepad.
“I'll start with the prawns.” Lucius said.
“The soup please.” Izabella smiled.
“And for mains?” the waiter asked.
“Roast chicken please.”
“And for you Master Malfoy?”
“Steak, well done.”
The waiter nodded his head and left the table.
“You could of said please.” Izabella said once he was out of sight. She picked up her glass and took a sip.
“I tip well.” Lucius said with a shrug.
“You're more like your father than you think you are.”
“Lets not talk about my father.”
“How about we talk about Rodolphus Lestrange?”
There was a silence in which Lucius stared at Izabella as she bit her lips nervously.
“So you were listening to our conversation.” he said in a quiet voice.
“I wasn't listening... I just heard.”
“What exactly did you hear?”
Izabella shrugged.
“Exactly. You don't know what you are talking about so you should-”
“So tell me then!”
“I told you that I would Izabella.”
“I'm waiting.” she said, leaning back and folding her arms.
“Not now. I said when the time is right.”
“It sounds dangerous Lucius. I want to know what you've dragged my brother into.”
“Severus knows perfectly well what he is doing. He is of age and-”
“So am I!”
“Well start acting like it then.” Lucius hissed.
“Your starters.” said the waiter as he approached the table, placing the plates down in front of them.
“Thank you.” Izabella said quietly as he left.
“Izabella listen.” Lucius said, his voice gentler. “You can't go around listening to people's conversation. I intend on taking you to the Manor often and my father has a lot of important meetings in his study. I can't have you sitting outside the door listening.”
“I wouldn't.” she mumbled.
“I promised I would tell you and I will. I never break my promises.”
Izabella sighed and nodded slightly. He smiled and placed a hand on her thigh, squeezing gently.
“So, you intend on taking me to the Manor?” she said smiling slightly.
“Of course. You might not of noticed Izabella, but I intend on making you my girlfriend.”
Izabella, who had just taken a bite of bread, choked and starting coughing violently. She took a large swig of wine and took a deep breath as her throat cleared.
“Too soon?” Lucius said.
“You maybe should have waited until I wasn't eating.” Izabella replied, aware that his hand was still resting on her upper leg.
Lucius nodded slightly, his fingertips gently tracing small circles on her leg. She swallowed loudly and they locked gazes, staring at each other intently.
“Your soup will get cold.”
“We should probably eat.”
After a few more moments Lucius smiled and slowly pulled his hand away. He shifted in his seat and picked up his spoon. Izabella did the same and quickly took a mouthful of food.
The rest of lunch passed pleasantly; they ate and talked and laughed. While Lucius was paying the bill, which he refused to let Izabella see, she waited by the door. He joined her and smiled, taking her arm as he lead her outside.
“Do you wish to go straight home?” he asked.
“What are my other options?” Izabella said grinning.
“Well we could go to the Manor.” Lucius suggested.
“Sounds great.”
He smiled and grasped her hand as they disapparated to the Manor.
They landed in the garden, by the water fountain they had sat at, on the day of Tobias' funeral. Izabella smiled and sat at the edge of the fountain without dipping in her feet. It was already evening and the breeze had become a little cooler.
Lucius sat beside her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, rubbing her arm gently and warming her through the friction. She snuggled against him, leaning her head on his shoulder. Then suddenly she sighed and stood up, facing away from him.
“Izabella? Is everything okay?” he asked gently.
“What you said in the restaurant, did you mean it?”
“About making you my girlfriend? Yes of course.”
Izabella nodded slightly but remained silent. She felt Lucius stand and move behind her, placing one hand on her lower back comfortingly.
“What's the matter?” he asked softly. Izabella sighed.
“I've never been somebody's girlfriend before.”
“What about Black?” Lucius frowned.
“I was never actually his girlfriend... Sirius has serious commitment issues. I went out with other boys on dates, but it was usually to make Sirius jealous so they never lasted long.”
“So I am just another attempt to make Black jealous?” Lucius said harshly.
“No!” Izabella protested, turning around to face him and taking hold of his hands. “No, I like you Lucius. I really do.”
“So what's the problem?”
“I don't know... I've only known you for a few weeks and I just don't get it. Why me? There are hundreds of girls out there who would love to be the Lady of the Manor and they seem more suited to you. I'm just a normal-”
“Izabella you are far from being 'just normal'. You, Miss Prince, are beautiful, intelligent and you're a nice person. You don't find that in many Purebloods.”
Izabella sighed.
“Izabella, I knew from the moment I met you that you were different to the others. I wouldn't care if you were a Muggle. I'd still fall in love with you.”
Izabella's head snapped up as Lucius dropped his gaze, his cheeks staining a light red.
“You're falling in love with me?” she asked in a quiet voice.
“It's impossible not to. The more time I spend with you, the harder it gets to be away from you.”
Izabella was silent as she studied Lucius' face. The evening sun was hitting his features, highlighting his high cheekbones and strong jawline. His pale skin seemed to glow and his hair, which was always so perfectly pushed back from his face, was falling in front of his eyes slightly as if he had been running his strong hands through it. He was so tall, Izabella had to tilt her chin up, and he was so broad he could engulf Izabella's petite frame in one embrace.
Lucius looked at her and Izabella swallowed loudly as his grey eyes warmed into hers. They were standing so close, their bodies were touching and Izabella could feel the heat radiating off of him.
He moved one of his hands to stroke her waist, his fingertips brushing over her rib cage through the thin material of her shirt. His other hand cupped her cheek, his thumb gently rubbing her soft skin.
Izabella lifted her hands to place them on his chest, feeling his rippling muscles through the fabric. She titled her face up to him and for a moment they looked at each other, her dark eyes gazing into the grey pools of melted silver.
Then his face was coming towards her and she closed her eyes as she felt his soft lips brush over hers. There was a gush of breath from her mouth before he kissed her again, his lips crushing down on hers gently but forcefully. His hand moved from her face to rest on her back, pulling her closer against him. She wrapped her arms around his neck, tangling her fingers into his soft blonde hair.
They were entwined for a few minutes before Lucius pulled back slowly, resting his forehead against hers. He kept hold of her, circling his arms around her and keeping her close. She kept her fingers in his hair, stroking it softly. He sighed quietly and rested his chin on top of her head as she buried her face in his chest.
“I am definitely falling in love with you Miss Prince.”
Izabella beamed and reached up to kiss his cheek in response, before snuggling her face into the crook of his neck and sighing contentedly.

I think I'm the only one that's total Team Sirius (even though I don't agree with his previous actions). I don't know, I mean Lucius seems nice and all, but it still comes down to the fact that he follows Voldemort. *shrugs* And the fact that I find Sirius much more handsome, to put it sweetly. And I'm helplessly under the Black charm.
Fantastic posts! And sorry I don't comment after each one, but I have been reading them as soon as you post them. I just haven't that much time. But I love the story, and can't wait to see how everything turns out and how it turns into The Lost Lover.
Please PAMS!

Please PAMS! I have to admit, deep down I am Team Sirius, but because I know how it all turns out I am having rather a lot of fun writing Izabella/Lucius.
That's fine, I totally understand and am just glad you are enjoying it Next chapter some time later today, and there will be more Sirius
