Sometimes I wish my parents would just get a divorce. They are ALWAYS fighting. I can't remember once in my childhood when I have ever seen them look like they are in love.
I remember asking my Mother once, how she knew that she was in love with Father, and do know what she said to me? "Love is a very complicated emotion" What is that supposed to mean? That she doesn't love him?
The reason I am finally writing about this is because I'm at Hugo's house and I have been watching his parents. They love each other. Like real love, not the "I respect you because I have to" but "I love you because I can not live without you" kind of love.
I know that all of my problems with Terry have stemmed from the perfectly horrid example of relationships that my parents have set for me. But I also know that I can't blame it all on them, no one made me leave, I did that part on my own.
Eugh. Enough with the depression, it is giving me worry lines!
Oh the better side, I spent the last night of summer at Hugo's house. After our huge blowout in Madame Malkin's - long story for another time - Hugie promised to make me my favorite blueberry muffins.
It was so much fun spending time with him. Hugo is like the other half of my heart. He will always be my best friend, no matter how many times we fight. I suppose my parents haven't corrupted me so much after all. Or perhaps, Hugo saved me.
When Hugo and I were little and had sleepovers, we used to sleep in the same bed together - he liked to stroke my hair while he fell asleep - but when we got older, and began taking interest in the opposite sex, his Mother decided it would be prudent to give me my own room. Since I'd been there enough in my life, and I was practically family, it didn't seem weird to me to have my own bedroom at my best friend's house.
I must confess I am worried what Terry thinks about Hugo and I. I mean, to the untrained eye, we look like we are both head over heels in love. Which, we practically are, but it's not like I want to marry Hugo. In fact that would be the worst marriage ever.
OH! Hugo just called me. The muffins are done.

Hogwarts is...... all right. Nothing I was not expecting, and I am not going to squeal about it, but it's okay.
I actually get to see more of Hugo at home than I do here, what with the hoards of fangirls traipsing behind him all of the time, he's almost unattainable.
Almost.
I will admit though, I don't care much for fangirls. They just get in the way. Especially girls who make eyes at Terry. Ugh. Because of course you know he is going to make eyes right back at them.
Well, that's not exactly fair, he did try to not flirt with her, and with all that I've put him through, that is really all I can expect from him right now.
As long as he keeps trying, I will be happy.
Speaking of happy, I witnessed my first Hogwarts breakup in the Great Hall. Apparently Cale and Anna have a LOT more problems than one would think, because they caused a huge scene.
Oddly enough, I felt sort of bad for having a hand in their demise. After the initial amusement of course.
But then, things got REALLY weird. Cale Newell held my hand. Yeah. It's quite obvious that he is using me to make his girlfriend, well, ex-girlfriend, jealous, but you know what? I don't really care. It was worth it to see the look on her face.

Well, well, well. Have I got a lot to tell you. First off, when Cale and I were fooling around and trying to make Anna jealous, she threw us a whammy by kissing Seth. Yeah. I was shocked too.
But then, Cale, almost pulling my arm off while he was at it, pulled me through like 5 different stories of Hogwarts until we found an empty corridor. That was when everything changed.
I tried to calm him down, explaining that he should fight fire with fire and get someone who will make Anna extremely jealous, just like she had done to him. So, he asked for my help. Of course, I would be the right person for the job, but there was this tiny little problem. That problem was my boyfriend. Terry.
Of course now I had to go talk to him, and let me tell you: he did not take it well.
There was even talk about Nun Convent school. I shudder at the thought, I really do.
But I think I talked him into it. Of course, I told him the truth, the reason why I wanted to help out Cale. It's so weird how I can tell him anything. The minute that he comes around, my ice queen persona melts away. It's slightly unnerving.
Everyone talks about the person that the want to spend the rest of their lives with. Could Terry be that person for me? So far, he is the only person besides Hugo who I have ever loved.
Yes, you read right, I love Terry. You might find this odd and sudden, and I have no idea if he feels the same way about me, but- this whole situation, the summer, the breakup, the time we spent apart, it all made me realize exactly how I feel about him.
I miss being Terry's girlfriend, out for everyone to know. Everyone to envy.
But Cale is so sweet, there couldn't be a better guy to fake date. Even though he is actually in a lot of emotional stress, he doesn't take it out on me. He takes it out on Anna, the person who it should be taken out on.
I just hope I can help fix things, I really don't want this to be the end for him and Anna. You know I hate Anna, and that hasn't really changed, but it sort of makes me think that if everything is okay for them, maybe everything can be okay for us.

-Entry Thirteen-
Well, its been about three weeks since Cale and I "started dating" and let me tell you, has it ever been fun. It's super easy to make him blush, even though I have been trying to break him from that habit.
Even so, I find it cute.
Honestly, we haven't encountered Anna as many times as I would have liked, I believe we have actually seen her a grand total of three times. The first time was when Cale and I were walking by the lake.
We were holding hands, trying to show off our relationship and get some rumors going, when she suddenly appeared and of course, she was looking for Seth, her little snogging buddy. There was a tift. I wouldn't actually call it an arguemnet, but more a heated exchanging of words. Of course, I had the upperhand in it all, I was able to rub Anna's nose in all of her mistakes, while Cale stood beside me, backing me up the whole time. It was epic.
The second time was in Charms class, so it really doesnt count seeing as I didn't actually talk to her, but it was quite humerus to see Cale and Anna partnered up together.
After class however, was not so good. I was waiting in the Common Room, to speak with Nicholai because I was sure that he knew something that he didn't need to know. That's when Hugo appeared, huffing like a drama queen and pouting. I immediatly rushed to his side, because if there is one person that I care about more than myself, it is Hugo Jermaine Woods. Well, he's tied with Terry.
Anyway, the reason that Hugo was put out, was because of Vannie, Miles' little girlfriend. Apparently, Hugo was messing around with her and he told her that he loved her, earning himself a slap on the face.
But, somehow, the conversation changed from that, to the fact that I have hardly spent any time with Hugo since we arrived at Hogwarts. He made me feel awful. I had not even realized that I had been neglecting him, even if he was laying it on a little thick. I need to remember my priorities. No matter how busy I become, nothing is more important than my Hugo.
There was a Hogsmeade trip this weekend, and I was poking around Honeydukes, minding my own business, when I heard the most interesting tidbit of news, Anna Greingoth was leaving Hogwarts. Apparently it was too painful for her to see Cale and I together anymore. PFFT. Wimp. Let's just say that Cale didn't take it too well.
Before I even knew what was happening, he was dragging me throught the streets of Hogsmeade, and he didn't let go of my hand until we were back at Hogwarts. That was when it sunk in. Anna was pulling an Evolette. She was running away from the one person that she cared about the most, because she was scared.
My mind immediatly kicked into high gear, and I started gatherin my thoughts, thinking of every I should tell her, when suddenly - BAM! Cale punched the wall.
I miss Terry.
I miss talking to him, I miss holding his hand in public, like I can do with Cale.
I haven't even spoken to him ever since I told him about Cale, Actually, I did see him in the library last week, it looked like he was doing homework with Willow. I didn't get a chance to talk to him though, seeing as I had to leave quickly because Barry was bothering me yet again, and I told him off then went to hide behind another boy named Maxim for a while until he was gone.
Afterwards, I went walking again, taking out my agression by kicking around stupid rocks, when Nicholai showed up. He told me that he had just broken up with his girlfriend, I can't seem to remember her name..... Kaylee? Kaitlynn? Kayla? Eh, whatever. So I guess Nico has some kind of stalker, because he showed me these pictures of him with other girls that someone had given to whatshername.
He looked as if he was very chummy with those girls. Very close. Honestly, I was a little jealous that I wasn't in one of those pictures, you know how much I love to be in the heart of controversy.
But, whatever.
So, then I made my way back to the Common Room, where I retrieved a box full of chocolate frogs, which, as I learned from Cale, were Anna's favorite. I found her by the humpbacked witch statue, I handed her the box and I spilled everything. I told her about Terry, the summer, and Cale. Everything. I even apologized for being rude to her, which now makes it completly official. I've gone soft. Utterly and completly, my heart of ice, and rude attitude are gone.
You have Terry to thank for that, and Anna was the icing on the cake, she sealed the deal.
But all of my hard work sold off big time, because I was able to convince Anna to stay. I'm not a miracle worker, I didn't change a whole lot, but I did help Anna and Cale to get their second chance, and you know what? I'm glad that I did it.
