Okie Dokie. So, for those of you who don't know me, I'm Nicolle *waves* Evolette is my new RP charrie, so I figured, what better way to get inside her mind, than to give her a diary. Hmm? I can't think of anything.

So, without further ado, enjoy the workings of her mind!

-Entry One-

Mother thinks that I have gone insane. Why, do you ask? I have no idea. She's not one to talk about her feelings, she believes that women of good up bringing should never speak of what they feel. So, I will admit, I was a bit suspicious when she found me today.

I was sitting in the garden when she came out, her long blond hair blowing softly around her face as she hurried to my side. I knew she was going out, yet again, to another of her "ladies lunches" and don't even let me start on the color of her hair, or I will rant on and on about how I am the black sheep of the family, being the only one without blond hair. Merg.

Anyway, to make a long story short, she gave me this, the diary I am writing in now. I believe her exact words were "Use it because you are driving us all insane."

Hmpf.

Well, I admit, I have been a little....moody since we returned from vacation, but I have good reason to be. Even though I would never admit it to anyone. My heart is broken, and it is going to take a bit to mend.

I like to pretend that I am unbreakable, that nothing rubs me the wrong way, and that no matter what happens, I will always be Evolette. I will always be strong.

I am sure you are wondering what exactly happened to me this summer, but I won't tell you. That, my new friend, the annoying but cute little pink book that you are, is a story for another day.

By the way everyone, I have added a glossary to the McKenna family in my first post, so you know who Evolette is talking about. Enjoy.

-Entry Two-

I came into this situation knowing that it would only be temporary, I knew that no matter what happened there, I would have to go back home at the end of the summer. I knew that I had to leave, and that was okay, that did not phase me.

The problem was, he never tried to stop me.

He wasn't even there when I left, it was as if he had completely dropped out of my life forever.

Let me start at the beginning, and hopefully I won't leave anything out. That, actually, is quite doubtful, as I have a photographic memory. I never forget things.

You see, something very unusual happened this summer. Mother allowed Tavie and I to go on vacation alone. Well, we weren't really alone, as we were staying with my Father's cousins, but this would be the first time we ever traveled alone, without chaperones.

Of course, Tavie was ecstatic about our newfound freedom, but I, myself, I was worried. I mean, what if someone tried to kidnap me and sell me to some crazy cult? When you are as beautiful as I am, you have to take everything into consideration, you know.

That summer turned out to be the best, and the worst summer ever, all at the same time, because that summer was when I met him.

I knew he had been watching me, long before Tavie ever mentioned it to me.

Quite honestly, I was used to it. People watching me, boys following me, girls envying me. It was all a part of the life of a socialite, the life of the beautiful.

However, this boy was slightly different...this boy had a sort of aura to him, it drew me in, made me want to know more.

I imagine that is how people feel when they see me for the first time. It's quite like staring at a beautiful piece of art, and wondering how in the world you could ever look away.

I wanted to talk to him. I wanted to know his name, I wanted to kiss him even, and that is exactly why I turned him away the first chance that I got.

So, now that you have heard a little of my story, do you pity me? I pity me. No one, no boy, has ever hurt me like this, but the craziest part is, I still want to be with him.

Oh, I must be running along now, Mother will simply die if I am late for supper once again.

I must say, you are quite growing on me, you little book. I love how I can talk to myself as much as I want, an no one will call me vain.

You are my new best friend. The only one who will listen.

Personally, that was what drew my attention. She's going on about how people stare at her all the time, to the extent of worrying about being kidnapped. But then this guy turns it all around on her, in a way.

And I'm curious about her turning him away.

-Entry Three-

This is absurd. Absolutely, positively, infinitely absurd. Pretty girls should not be subjected to such torture. This kind of suffering should be reserved for the ugly girls. The girls who were ugly to begin with and therefore would not be altered by wearing such a disgusting thing on their face.

The stupid ugly mask that I must wear so that my nose does not set crooked. Needless to say, I will not be leaving the house any time soon.

What am I talking about? Well I am glad that you asked, even if you had not asked I was going to tell you anyway, because that is what you are here for darling, that is why I tell you things.

Onward with my story. My brothers were fighting. They fight constantly, all three of them, about what, I haven't the slightest clue, it often varies with their moods. I think that the reason they fight so much is to prove to the other that they are big and strong and macho. Isn't that the reason why all males like to fight?

Their fights always ended in some injury, each of them has broken a number of bones in their lives. However, never before had their squabbling resulted in my injury, until now that is.

I was walking along in the garden, checking on my blossoms. One thing that very few people know about me, is that I have quite a green thumb, but that useless bit of trivia will do you no good to remember.

Dominik and Alex were fighting, and it was beginning to chew on my last nerve, so, being the wonderful sister that I am, I turned around to give them both a piece of my mind.

At that moment, three things happened simultaneously. 1) Dominik threw a punch. 2) Alex ducked. 3) Said punch came into contact with my nose, producing a sickening crunch.

We all hurried into the house where the nurse tended to my wound as Mother gave the boys the tongue lashing of their lives. I do wish I had been able to witness it, but Tavie assured me that it was quite amusing.

Oh, I must go now, there is a knock at the door. It's probably Dominik again, he has been badgering me non stop ever since this morning, doing everything for me so that I don't have to lift a finger.

I quite like it though, like having my own personal slave.

-Entry Four-

I like boys. It’s more of an addiction really, I have to have boys around. My mother told me that my first word was boy. I actually remember this, so I am sure it is not one of those things that she simply tried to force on me because she thought it was cute.

But, as much as I love my boys, I have a confession to make; I have never had a proper crush on one. It has always been many boys at one time, many admirers, many suitors, but there hasn’t been one in particular that stood out to me.

I was a butterfly, free to flit from flower to flower whenever I deemed necessary, never to be tied down, and always to be free. I can literally fill your cute, adorable pink pages with name after name of boys. Whenever I feel flirty, whenever I need someone to tell me that I am pretty, all I have to do is bat my eyelashes and they will come running.

I am a flirt, plain and simple. A serial flirt, with major commitment issues. Maybe I am afraid of ending up in a relationship like the one my parents have, or maybe I am afraid of monotony, probably both. But whatever the reason, I know one thing, I was afraid.

For weeks afterwards, I had told myself it was just a fling, a summer romance, that it really didn’t mean anything to him, or to me. But today, while at tea with Mother and Tavie, I had an epiphany. Catching myself staring at a boy who surprisingly had the same color eyes as him, I realized why I had left him.

Yes, I liked him, maybe even loved him if I would have allowed myself. But that was the reason I was afraid. Long distance relationships rarely ever worked out, and with his reputation, I was sure he would find someone else. Someone -dare I say it- prettier than me.

Even though he thought he could do it, he was going to try to have a relationship with me, put aside the flirt in him. But I wasn’t ready. I was selfish. I couldn’t trust him with my heart yet. UGH. Why am I such an ignoramus? Why didn’t I give him a chance? We were good, even perfect together, we both knew it, everyone who saw us together knew it. Why didn’t I?

But, it’s not like I am going to see him again. I left, and he didn’t come after me. I am not going back there, and he is not coming here. So, given the circumstances, it has occurred to me that it is only logical that I say goodbye to him. I know it is unlikely that I will ever fully forget about him, as you never forget your first love, but I will just have to try.

Yes, goodbye Terry Saunders and everything I did to hurt you. I hope that someday, you can forgive me.
