Hey YOU; What's this about?: Hey! Dani and Gracie here Long story short, this is a FanFic to explore the lives of (and further develope) Cordell 'Eli' Kozlov, a student from Durmstrang Institute and Lissy Mae, a student from Beauxbatons Academy, whom became Pen-Pals after meeting in the summer of 2073. We first began to play them during the recent Knight Bus event and became very fond and attached, very quickly. Many of the 'chapters' will be in letter form, but there will be other special (or random) scenes mixed in. And so.. it begins, enjoy!

Dear Lissy Mae,

I am not sure how exciting your summer was. It was probably loaded with fun. So if you don't remember me that's really alright, I don't blame you much. My name's Cordell Kozlov, and we met at the Bus stop when you were not acting "normal" and apparently using your grandmothers old smelly cloak to try to act "normal"?

If you don't remember me then, that's fine. You can reply back with like.."leave me alone weirdo" or whatever. But if you do remember me then how are you? School started yesterday for me, and going back to see my friend's was awesome. I'll tell you about them next time...you know if you actually message me back and say you remember me. The good thing about starting school is that I got away from my evil cousin, who works at the Prophet. How are you doing at that French school? Tell me, write back as soon as you can. I have to go now. I'm supposed to be doing homework, and the Headmaster's snitch is giving me funny looks.

Dear Interesting Strange Boy ELI,

Oh yes, it was loads of fun. After meeting you I chilled with the dragons in the mountains of China. Or maybe that's not really chilling.. those suckers could roast me like a burnt mashmellow at a bonefire! HA, can you imagine? Anywhooo, moving on! What a coincidence I'm getting funny looks too! Apparently, it's not 'normal' to burst out laughing at 'random'. To answer your question - Yes, Cordell Kozlov Interesting Strange Boy Silly Eli, I remember you. Why would I write back 'leave me alone weirdo'? Who says I DON'T respond to random owls with random letters that I don't recognize the hand-writing on, huh? Okay, soooo.. no, I don't really. My older brother wouldn't be pleased!

I'm just dandy. Like .. dandy lions, you know? YEAH. Like those. The Prophet? There Back in London? How evil are we talking? The French school (Beauxbatons Academy) is NOT as dandy lion as me! Can you believe classes started already? Four days in! Nah, it's cool. Things here are quiet so far, but we'll see as term progresses. Speaking of classes, I'm about to be late for one of mine. Write back when you can, I'll be waiting impatiently and unnormally.

P.S., I said my Great-Gran's ancestor's old smelly cloak! I never met the woman, by the way. She died before I was born.

P.S.S., Eli. When people give you funny looks (especially the Headmaster's snitch!), you give them right back. Or smile. At the very least, it confuses them.

Dear Lissy Mae,

There are dragons in China? I thought those creatures were only in like Australia with the kangeroo’s and dingoes. Plus, I don’t think they’d burn you to eat youanyways, something tells me that humans don’t taste amazingly good like marshmallows. They’d just burn you for fun! Anyways I’m glad you remember me even though you do seem a bit insane.

No sugar next time for you! (At least until you realize that laughing at random, will get you funny looks). Oh, and replying back to random letter’s from random people will get you killed. At least that’s what my Defence Against the Dark Arts professor says. He also says that rubber bands and pumpkin juice can get you killed too so I’m not sure how reliable he is! You have an older brother? That’s so cool! I am really the only boy in my family, I have two older sisters Rebekka and Rokhsar but they weren’t around when I was growing up.

Dandy lions? Er- sorry, I’m not sure what those are. Are they lions who are extremely happy? (Not sure we have dandy lions in Russia, too scared to ask really). Yes! The Prophet in London! I was staying with my cousin due to certain circumstances out of both of our control. Evil as in not quite the level of a dark wizard but just above the level of a Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor who likes to randomly attack kids.

Classes are crazy! I’m taking Ancient Runes this year and within the first ten minutes I was lost. I sort of understand it now but my brain still has that exploding feeling whenever I enter the class. But my favourite class is DADA (I talked about it forever in this letter didn’t I) so I’m doing really good in it, what’s yours?

P.S. He may not have been giving me a funny look after all, I think he just has a funny looking face.

Yep! Where do you think Chinese fireball dragons come from? You should know, I had to ask my Care of Magical Creatures professor. Dingeos? I know what a kangeroo is, but you lost me with the dingeos. Now I wonder if dragons have moms who tell them not to play with their food.. you know, in their own dragon language. And hey! Why don't we get taught that? I want to learn it! It would be interesting. Not like History of Magic. I seem a bit insane? You know you're not one to talk, mister. I do believe it was you who came up to me - a completely strange little girl in her Great-Gran's ancestor's smelly old cloak, - simply because you're drawn to your own kind. And how did you know I had sugar?

Eli, are you trying to advise me not to reply to you or something? Because I think it's safe to reply to you. Or are you talking about other random letters that I haven't gotten? Your D.A.D.A sounds like an interesting man, maybe we could pair him up with my Divination professor! She likes to predict the weather. You know, shout to us that it's going to rain.. after it's already pouring outside. You only have two sisters? How come they weren't around? I have a lot more than just one older brother; I have fifteen brothers and sisters, and no I'm not joking. I won't go into further detail out of fear you'll realize exactily how insanely insane and confusing my life is and stop writing to me.

Yes! Extremely happy lions, Eli. You got it. Really, I meant to put dandelions, you know the flowers? But there was an error somewhere between my brain and hand, the connection wasn't made. We're currently blaming the amount of sugar I had that afternoon, but testing will take place soon. Above the level of your Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. How DID you survive the summer? Now it makes sense why you were willing to go on that adventure with me! Here I thought I was just special.

Why you would even sign up for Ancient Runes is beyond me, I don't blame your poor brain for wanting to explode. That's very mean to do to your brain, Eli. But you ARE strange, so I won't comment on your favorite class being an odd choice given who teaches it (you should wear a necklace of garlic to class just to be safe). Atleast you're doing good in it, though! My favorite? Charms, definitely. I'm fond of Divination too, mostily because it's more entertaining than other classes.

P.S. Will you be back in London next summer?
