Shortly after Prof. Quirrell was brought to the hospital wing Justin was taken to the headmaster's office. He was extremely nervous and at the same time very disappointed in himself for having lost control. He had been trying to practice his technique for controlling his powers for a few weeks, but apparently to no avail. There he stood in front of Professors Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Snape. All of them staring at him, just staring, none of them said a word for what seemed to Justin like an eternity. Finally after a few minutes Dumbledore began to speak.

" We have a serious problem here. We can't fairly judge this situation, being that there is exstrainious circumstances in this case. Perhaps you can tell us what led to your attack on Prof.Quirrell, Justin? " Said Dumbledore as he paced the floor stroking his long silver beard.

" Well, Sir, first I extend my deepest regrets. I didn't mean for anything to happen. You see, Roberta Thornhust and myself were having a conversation as we walked into the classroom and sat down. Prof. Quirrell came out of his office just before the lesson was to start and had seen us talking and he immediately singled us out. He began to yell at us in front of everyone and had suggested that Bertie and I fancied each other. Bertie was just telling me that she thought that the Professor had it in for her. I was just giving her advice when he stepped out of his office. Bertie started crying and ran for it. I was mortified and became angry, angrier than I've ever felt and the next thing I know Prof. Quirrell was on the floor. I don't even remember thinking anything. It just happened. " explained Justin.

" What are we going to do about this, Albus? " asked Prof. McGonagall.

" Severous, what do you think? " Dumbledore asked quietly.

" The boy hasn't yet had any lessons. His first was supposed to be just after his defense against the dark arts class. And I doubt now that Quirrell will assist me with his control lessons. He is an extraordinary student. However, should he go unpunished it would send a poor message to the rest of the student body that We don't have any rule enforcement here at Hogwarts. " stated Snape very matter of factly. " I think it best that he be given detention for the remainder of this term. he can that time with me and during that time I will instruct him. "

" What a wonderful idea, Severous. Justin you are to serve detention with Prof. Snape for the remainder of this term. At the end of term myself and the other professors will decide if you will be able to return to school. I suggest you mind yourself for the rest of your stay. that is all. " said Dumbledore.

And with that Justin was told to go to his next class and was instructed to say nothing of the morning's events.

Justin entered the Great Hall to mett Josh and Bertie for lunch. He was trying to act as if nothing had happened earlier that morning. As he walked in to join his friends the whole student body of Hogwarts shifted their attention to the blonde skinny kid who was now almost as infamous as He Who Must Not Be Named. People whispered about him as he passed them by. They whispered about the unseemingly dangerous boy who had attacked a teacher. Speculation had gotten the better of some students as well. It was even rumored that Justin himself was the son of the Dark Lord. And for all they knew it could be true.

Justin slowly walked down the aisle and found his seat next to Josh. Bertie gave smile with a concerned look trying to cheer him up a bit , but she wasn't very convincing. Justin just gave a small smile back and began to pickat the turkey sandwich that was on his plate. With nothing being said and the silence Josh was practically bursting at the seams and could wait no longer for the quiet to break. After what seemed like an age of suffering the awkward silence amongst the growing murmurs that were circulating throuh the Great Hall Josh spoke up and asked the question that every one wanted to ask. " So, what really happened, Just ? Everyone is saying that you nearly killed Querrill. Is it true ? "

" I don't know what happened. I mean I know that I got angry , but that's it. The next thing I know Prof. Querrill was on the flat of his back. "

" Are they going to expell you ? " a concerned Bertie asked.

" No, not yet anyway, but I've got detention for the rest of the term with Prof. Snape. So, practicing for Quidditch trials are out of the question now." Justin said disappointedly.

" Detention! With Prof. Snape ?! But he's just as vile as Quirrell ! " exclaimed Bertie.

" He's not as bad as you think, Bertie. Not once you get to know him a bit. " Justin said defensively. " Quirrell on the other hand is hiding something. I know he is, I can feel it and before long I'll figure it out . "
