Dear Ronald, typed Hermione, smiling.

It had been a long summer. Voldemort was only dead two months, and things were beginning to return to normality. But when she thought of that war, she thought of something else too... That kiss... It was amazing. She smiled to herself, brushing her forefinger against her lips gently. As gently as Ron had with his lips... It had been a heartbreaking summer, Fred's funeral had been so hard... She could feel the familiar discomforting tickle of tears creeping behind her eyes. One of the hardest things had been restoring her parents memories, and telling them what happened. She shuddered, then returned to her letter. Ron's father had found an old computer and given it to Ron, who with Bill's help, set up an email address.

How are you? Is everyone alright? There is not much happening at home. Since I told Mum and Dad about what happened they have been acting very different. In a good way, I mean. Mum has quit her job as a dentist (tooth fixer) to devote more time to the family, and Dad has cut down on his hours. I believe they are sad because I will be leaving soon to train as an auror, as you know. I was wondering if maybe we - you and Harry and I - could perhaps meet up before we begin training? I am afraid we cannot meet here because our house is undergoing repairs (whilst recovering his memory, Dad accidentally set fire to the loft upstairs). Also, I need to talk to you about something. Well, write, technically. It's about that ki

"HERMIONE!" called her mother, from downstairs.

"Yes, Mum?" she called back, quickly minimising the page on her computer.

"There's somebody here to see you," said her mother, appearing at her bedroom door.

"Who?"

"Two boys." Replied her mother awkwardly.

"Yes?" pressed Hermione, struggling not to get her hopes up.

"They're here to see you so run along," said her mother, pulling Hermione up off her chair.

Hermione rubbed her arm defensively, then jogged down the hall, and her heart sang. The first boy looked about fourteen, with straw hair and freckles, and the second boy looked the same age, but taller with longish black hair and chocolate brown skin.

She frowned unhappily. "Yes?" she said flatly, and like that, the two boys glanced at each other, then darted forward and grabbed her by an arm each. The straw haired boy clapped a hand over her mouth before she could cry out in surprise, and the tall one tied a cloth around it. He then took out a roll of duck tape, and taped her wrists and ankles. She struggled furiously, but it was no use. These kids were stronger than they looked.

Her mother was obviously still at the other end of the house because there was not hide nor hair of her. In fact, no one seemed to be around on this usually busy street. The straw haired boy took out a sack, and the taller one pushed her in to it.

They carried her roughly down the street, and then she felt the familar sense of apparition. She continued to struggle in the darkness, but no use came of it. Finally, she heard them whisper to each other, then the sack opened and she tumbled out.

She realised it was not two boys, but two Death Eaters, Yaxley and Dolohov. Everyone had assumed they were dead. Hermione knew where she was: Malfoy Manor, on top of the stairs to the basement.

"Bye, bye, sweetheart," sneered Yaxley, and pushed the trembling Hermione down the stairs. She lay at the bottom, bruises creeping beneath her skin, and blood pumping from her head, and on to her hair and hoodie.

Talk about Déjà vu.

She opened her eyes, which were firmly shut with pain, and when she did she saw Harry and Ron, bound and gagged against the wall.

Harry and Ron were either asleep or unconscious. Hermipne tried so hard to ignore her pain, but it was hard. She rolled slowly over to the two boys, both dead to the world. With all her might, she kicked them both in the knees.

Harry woke immediately, but Ron sort of snorted first, then grumbled himself to wakeness. Both boys' eyes widened greatly at the sight of Hermione, though with stress in Harry's case.

She didn't know what to do, but she had to free herself, and the others too. So she had an idea. Ignoring the pain in her head, she rolled over to the wall. She was a little surprised at the boys for not thinking of something, they had been here only a few months ago! The wall was rough, with a rugged and pointy stone poking out.

She leaned her wrists against it, and caressed the duck tape along it for a minute or so, until it wore away. She wriggled her free hands gratefully, then undid her ankles and took the gag off her mouth. She let out a long anticipated breath, and rubbed her joints.

Harry and Ron were gaping in suprise.

"Mmmmmmmm!" They were moaning, obviously wanting her to help them. She put a hand to the back of her head, and when she examined her palm, it was scarlet.

Little did the Deatheaters know, Hermione had her wand, tucked inside her Ugg boot.

"Relashio!" She said quietly, pointing to Ron, then Harry.

"Hermione, are you ok?" Asked Ron the second his mouth was free. She smiled nodding.

"Yea-" but she cut off. Ron was already up, and had stormed up to her, and pinned her against the wall and kissed her full on the mouth, with as much as passion as the first time.

EEPPP! How cute! I love a Ronmione!! I cant wait to read more!

Hermione broke in to a smile, a gentle one. But she could see Harry standing a few feet behind Ron, fixing his circular glasses back on to his nose, making sure to keep his eyes carefully focused on the ground.
Awkwardly, Hermione sidled from Ron slightly, wiping her mouth with her sleeve. She noticed Ron's lips were chapped and raw, so they must have been here a few days. Clearing her throat, she asked: "so how long have you been here?"
"Four days." Replied Harry and Ron is unison.
"Why are we here?" She asked them, her brows creased.
Ron shrugged but Harry answered: "We don't know. But we're not the only ones they're after. They want Ginny, Neville and Luna too." Only then did she detect the misery in his voice.
She turned to Ron. "Couldn't they have gotten Ginny when they found you? And Luna only lives over the hill a bit-"
"School." He replied.
"Oh yes," said Hermione, remembering. "They're in their seventh year now. What about Neville?"
"He's re-taking his NEWTs. He was a bit distracted last year what with, you know, Voldemort and stuff."
Hermione nodded.
"Professor McGonagall will protect them though." She said firmly. "I know she will. And Hagrid, and Slughorn, and..."
"Hogwart is not like it was, Hermione." Said Harry abruptly. "All the protection is gone, they just don't think they need it anymore. Ginny and Neville and Luna can come any minute now,"
And as if one cue, there was a shout, then a moan, and quickly the three stuck loose bit of tape over their mouths, put their ankles and wrists together. Harry and Ron ran to the wall, and leaned against it, their heads flopped down, and Hermione lay down aside the foot of the stairs, as if unconscious.
There was a thump and Neville fell down the stairs, landing on top of Hermione, then rolling loosely a few metres away.
Dolohov chuckled and slammed the door. Neville opened his eyes, and after a moment the three ran to untie him.
Neville's eyes were wide with surprise. "Whey, lads." He said, grinning. "I should've known you'd have something planned, eh?"
"It was Hermione really." Gushed Ron, and Hermione turned pink.
"Did they get Ginny and Luna?" Asked Harry.
"They got Luna, but she managed to get away. She's dead clever, she is." He said, blushing. "Ginny's with her." He added, and Harry and Ron gave a sigh of relief.
"Where are they?" Asked Ron.
"They're in-"
"Ssh!" Hissed Hermione suddenly, and they all looked at her.
"What?" Asked Neville.
She lowered her voice to a whisper so low they three boys had to put their ears against her lips. "I think we're being bugged." She whispered.
