Are you feeling peckish after a full day of networking? You’ve come to the right place! A red-roofed kiosk sits nestled among the career booths toward the back of the room. A sign on the roof reads: REFRESHMENTS. Here you’ll find a wide variety of food and drink generously contributed by several shops throughout Wizarding Britain. Whatever your tastes, you’ll find something to satisfy. Simply check the menu board posted on the front of the kiosk.
A small food court area is next to the kiosk. Here are several tables and chairs seating 2-4 people each, for those who want a comfortable, quiet place to enjoy their refreshments. A row of trash bins sits at the back of the food court. Please remember to clean up after yourself when you’re done eating!

Saturn tugged at their bronze and blue tie, loosening the garment until it hung casually about their neck almost like a bolero. This was one of the few things they could do to keep their nerves at bay. There was an air of expectation in the air that they were not a fan of and rather than meet it head on, they were busying themselves with the snack table.
leaning over said table, their tie slipping over drink and snack in turn, Saturn took a cup of hot green tea and took a deep breath. the familiar earthy scent brought them back to their feet, which was more than welcome.
any second now, Ariadne would be joining them and Saturn didn’t want the blonde to see just how out of it their dorm mate was.

Why even was Ariadne Lysandra Ackerly here? She hadn't had a clue, either.
Kidding. There were three reasons. First, she was feeling rather directionless these days. In more ways than one, if she really thought of it. Ari didn't know half the time where life took her, and she figured at least showing up at the job fair meant taking control of some aspect of her mess. Ma Layla had encouraged her to check a few booths out, anyway. They'd talked about life trajectories and post-graduation plans over the summer, when she opened up about her OWLs worries. Though Ari genuinely didn't know what she wanted, and neither were her mums forcing her to make decisions right away, this was the least she could do. She needed to think about it and she owed it to her mums. Second, she had Rora to worry about. Only Merlin knew what her little sister had in mind today. Ari figured the younger blond would talk the ear off anyone willing to listen to her in every single career booth, and they would have to because it's their job and Ari wanted to make sure her sister didn't occupy too much of the hosts' time. The sixth year would remain as Rora's tether and rein her in when necessary.
The third reason was right over there by the refreshment tables, sipping off their cup of whatever-that-is since she couldn't see it from this distance. Ari made her way towards Saturn as she fixed up her blouse to look its most presentable. "Hey," the Ravenclaw said, with a wink, once she was close enough to her friend. "This doesn't look like a career booth to me. You must be lost." She had jokes, your honour! But also, anything to maybe stall making decisions about her future. Because Ari was very good at that.
Also, yes, they were absolutely told to dress professionally—which Ari did—but she wasn't a fan of these skirt lengths. She already couldn't wait to finish up and charm it a bit shorter.

How Aurora had managed to lose her sister in the short distance between the Ravenclaw Common Room and the Great Hall was a mystery. Perhaps it was because everyone was out of uniform and all heading down the staircases in the same direction and everyone was starting to look the same. It also likely had something to do with the fact that at four foot five (AND A HALF) the majority of the other students towered over her and as soon as one stood in front her vision was completely obscured. Once she had entered the hall the twelve year old had decided to go check out the booths before attempting to find Ariadne again.
Somewhat exhausted from all the talking she had inflicted on the booth holders, it was time for a drink and a quick sugary snack to replenish her energy levels with. It was on her journey over to the refreshment area that the familiar sight of perfect blonde locks came into view. The second year skipped over to her sisters side, landing directly next to her with a beam. “I lost you” she stated obviously. Their parents had suggested the girls to go together, Aurora to encourage Ariadne to speak to the booth holders and Ari to somewhat control the over-enthusiastic younger sibling to not bother the adults with endless questions.
Rora turned to Ari’s companion with her signature grin. “Hi Saturn! Have you been to see any of the stalls yet? Did you know there’s a PONY over there and a Crup and a baby..” A human baby that was. A human baby that belonged to one of the stall holders and wasn’t just some random child that had turned up at the school like an orphan in a fairytale. At least she assumed that it belonged to the booth holder lady and she hadn’t just found it as it was strapped on her front in a baby sling like an extra appendage.

There and back again. And again.
Jericho was delighted to return to Hogwarts once again to mentors those minds that were receptive to that which he had to share. While he would have offered regardless, the encouragement from Dhruv certainly quickened correspondence with Headmaster Winterbottom. His one lament was that he had not brought Poppy with him. As much as the teacup pig would have enjoyed herself, it was for the best she stayed home on the ranch. Especially considering there were many a magical creature present at the Job Fair and jarveys in particular made her a bit jumpy.
Making his way over from the Athletics booth, the duellist was feeling both a bit parched and had a yearning for a little nibble or two. He supposed the kneazle would be out of the bag that he had not completely adhered to dresscode, but he simply could not condone torturing himself with dress shoes. He had selected his nicest and least tattered pair of sandals to go with his suit though, so an honest effort had been made.
The gradient before him was quite something to behold. Chalky gray gave way to muted eggplant and frustrated fuchsia, rounding out with a pulsing yellow. Ah, to be a school boy again and radiate such turbulence. He couldn't resist a soft chuckle with the manner in which the, seemingly, youngest of the three had spoken about Derfael and Chloe and resisted the temptation to correct her on her phrasing of 'pony'. "Pardon me, young spirits," he greeted the gathered trio with a sincere palm pressed against his chest. "I wonder if any of you may be able to direct me towards the vegan options at this table."

This job fair presented rather tough decisions for the third year. It was hard, y'know, having to choose?
Food or athletics?
As always, food won. Making a beeline for the refreshments table, Violeta ignored anyone else there. She had one goal at the moment, and that was grab some food and then head over on to the athletic tables. She stacked a plate up with turkey sandwich (for higher protein purposes), chips (for carbohydrate, aka energy, purposes), and fried pickles because skipping pickles was a SIN.
curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog

Moritz wasn't sure why he was here. In true Moritz Schultz fashion, he had not one, not two, but THREE possible career paths planned out for himself. He really didn't need a career fair to tell him what to do with his life. But, it was a nice break from studying, and OWLs were just a few weeks away - it was crunch time!
He had perused a few of the booths, not really paying much attention to any of the stuff they had lying around, when something else caught his attention. Or should he say SOMEONE else. Instantly he grinned to himself and he headed over to the refreshment table, making a beeline for his quidditch practice buddy.
"Let me guess - you're taking up a career in competitive eating," he said with a grin as he approached, eyeing the plate she was currently piling food onto. Why was he even surprised?

Violeta was mid chip crunch when she saw Moritz, and he was making his WAY TO HER. She quickly grabbed a napkin and dabbed her mouth for any crumbs. Which she obviously wouldn't have any because she was a lady.
How was her hair?
Ohhhh, it didn't matter. He was already here!
"Nah," she said with a cool shake of her head. "I've retired from competitive eating." Extending her plate towards him, she added, "You should give it a try."
