Maxine had always loved to teach - or rather to help the younger students. She had always dreamed of being a teacher or Professor - but at what level? Primary Hogwarts? At a uni? maybe even younger kids since Hogwarts started at age 11. But she didn't really know. She still had 2 years at Hogwarts yet to offically decide what she wanted to do.
But none the less it was the section of the job fair that first attracted her attention - the education side of things. She imediatly went that direction and began looking at the booths. Not deciding on one in particular just looking at them all to start.

| Trixie Broadmoor - University Professor (Healing Studies) HeadGirlMC | Treddie & Trixiver <3 | Copy Girl | Katie's Ickle Minion | I love YOU more Hold it together Mrs Broadmoor.
It was plain to see as Trixie stepped foot into the Great Hall how emotional she was feeling. The fifty-four year old actually had to stand still for a second in order to take it all in, the familiar sights and smells and all the memories that instantly came flooding back to her. The last time she had stepped foot into the school was in her final year where she stood at the top of the Slytherin table giving a speech to her fellow snakes about what a privilege it had been to lead them all as Head Girl and how proud she was of each and every one of them. Trixie had always been extremely maternal and now as a mother (and soon to be Grandmother) she was more maternal than ever.
Taking a deep breath and heading over the education booth, giving her daughter a little smile and wave as she passed her setting up her own stall in the Healers area, she greeted her fellow attendees and placed herself at the centre of the booth. Vashti of course, as one of Trixie’s closest friends, got an extra special greeting in the form of a warm hug. She was one of the few that she recognised as the majority seemed to be fairly young still.
In front of the Professor of Healing Studies lay a selection of pamphlets about the education route. Also included were a freshly baked assortment of cupcakes courtesy of her baker Sister-in-Law which she hoped might entice some students in as well as some fun little colourful bookmarks in the shape of a pencil for the students to take with them if they pleased.
As she was setting up she spotted an early attendee (Maxine) who was loitering around the booth. She offered her a friendly smile in greeting. “Hello my Sweet, are you interested in a career in education?” she asked. She was happy to answer her questions or refer her onto one of her fellow booth holders if there was a specific role she was interested in.

| Booth Host {Freelance Historian for Ministries globally} ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. No matter the occasion, Hartley Stonewall was always ready to mingle. Such an extrovert he was. Aside from meeting new faces in the form of Hogwarts students/professors and those who were booth hosts like him, he was thrilled to be back at Hogwarts. Great gosh! This place had been missed; the bad experiences he’d encountered here, not so much. The young man had located his booth quite easily and like his co-booth host, was setting up pamphlets on his subject area. Hartley had also brought along a few history books from around the world {all translated into English, of course} for the Hogwart students that showed interest. “Those cupcakes are driving my olfactory senses cray-cray!’’ he good naturedly chirped to Trixie. But Hartley would resist grabbing one because 1. the cupcakes probably weren’t to be shared with him and 2. this guy was watching his carb intake; he had this foiiine body to keep in shape, yes? “Oh, hello there, Miss!’’ {Maxine} Hihihi!!! Yes, please! Tell them what in particular you were interested in. “Do you like Wizarding World History?” All these words were uttered after Trixie’s. |

| Booth Host - Vashti Amstern Baguette | there is no D in my name | TRAITORclaw | Queenie of Narnia There was a bittersweet feeling about returning to Hogwarts this time. The good memories from her time in school were always there, but they were also clouded by the more recent experiences nearly seven years ago now. The sight of the Great Hall resurfaced those memories for a moment, how it had looked during the battle, how she had lost Anakin...
But those thoughts had lingered for only a moment.
The job fair setup in the Great Hall was so different from then, even from its usual setup for meals, that it was easy not to dwell. There was also the fact that Vashti was genuinely looking forward to this event. She enjoyed working with children, considering her choice of career, and this was a perfect use of her time, helping these young people decide what they wanted to do in their future. It could be a difficult decision for many - she remembered the uncertainty she had felt in her seventh year. Thus, it was a task she took very seriously.
And so she was all smiles upon greeting her booth co-hosts, returning Trixie's hug warmly. She had a few pamphlets that she set on the table as well, and she looked approvingly - and curiously! - at the history books Hartley Stonewall had brought. It was tempting to peruse them, bookworm and history nerd that she was, but that would have to wait until the fair was over.
Ah, and there was their first student! "Hello," she greeted with a smile, but since Trixie and Hartley were already asking her questions, she decided not to overwhelm her with even more. She was listening though.
The hall was quickly filling with students now, and she offered a smile to each one that passed, watching in case any others approached their booth as well.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sophia Svensson #556B2F Slytherin Fifth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Eulalia Walles (#F48037) Hufflepuff Fourth Year | Isabella Melo - Wizarding University Charms Professor Constant Vigilance! O_O AWAKE! Isabella didn't really know how to talk to children. She thought she might be most comfortable with the seventh years, after all they were nearly the same age as some of her university students, but...she was not sure. She hoped it would go well, these conversations. She did like talking about her research, and could answer any question about the courses she taught. This would be...absolutely fine. Especially if she kept her back to the booth her mother was at.
"Hello," she also greeted the first student to approach their booth, keeping back a bit with Vashti to avoid overcrowding the girl. Instead, she arranged and re-arranged the few bits and bobs she'd brought. No pamphlets for her, but she had brought in her old enchanted Snitch Snatcher sets she'd used for her thesis, and a few of her more recent metal charming experiments, all perfectly safe for handling. Some even hadn't been charmed to begin with, as she'd wanted to compare a regular tin cup with those charmed to clean or refill themselves. Her experiments didn't look like much, but they kept her classes...well, not entertained, but at least from falling asleep. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Vera Brinley Thanatos Gryffindor Graduated Hogwarts RPG Name: Mandrake Beery Slytherin Fifth Year | Tamara Bowen, 1st year Ravenclaw Anashti l Brat Pack l Sally & Dr. Finklestein Truthfully, Tam did not think a career in education was on her future to do list. Music was what her passion was and her 11 year old self dreamed of making that her career down the line. But the sensible Ravenclaw part of her said that she was only 11 and perhaps there were other interests out there for her she just had yet to explore. Which was the only reason she had left her musical theory book up in her dorm and went down to explore the job fair. She was certain she had no idea what business casual was, so her outfit was simply a pair of black jeans and her favorite sage top with flowy sleeves. It certainly fit the casual bill, at least.
Arts and Entertainment had been the first thing that she considered going to check out, but on further inspection it did not seem there was anyone specifically involved in music. Though there WAS WADA Professor's which could still be quite useful to speak with, so she marked it on her list for later. Education and Research was the next thing that drew her eye, as she considered the fact that teaching others kids to one day love music as much as she did would not be the worst thing in the world. So while even again if no one was specifically involved in music, it could still be nice to hear what made them lean towards teaching instead of... whatever else their interests were.
With her mind made up, the girl headed towards the correct booth, feeling just a smidge shier with every step she took, before she could see the table of adults before her. There was one other student there, even if slightly older, and Tam slowly edged towards her hoping to draw some of her courage as she glanced around the table. There was a lot to be seen and she hardly knew which spot to start, so instead she just looked up at the adults and asked, "What do you all teach?" It was probably listed somewhere, but she didn't quite know how else to start a conversation.

| ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Fear not, Vashti! Hartley had actually brought this giant box of history books. Said box contained multiple copies of each book so there would be plenty to go around. In any case, the Historian planned to present each of his co-host with at least one book at the end of the Fair. Since Isabella seemed to be keeping to herself for now, he decided to make conversation with her later on.
In any case, there was another tiny human {in Hartley’s opinion, most Hogwartians were small} at the booth. “Hi!’’ He threw her a toothy smile that wasn’t at all creepy. Seriously, it wasn’t. “I’m not a professor but I’m just as cool as one of those!’’ Hartley seriously doubted he’d have the patience to be a professor. “I’m a Historian and I work with Ministries of Magic around the world, particularly the Departments of Magical Artefacts.” Quite an exciting job if you asked him! The places he got to see, the beautiful people he got to meet “I study and help to preserve magical artefacts for them that are of historical importance. Have you got an interest in Wizarding History?” |

| HeadGirlMC | Treddie & Trixiver <3 | Copy Girl | Katie's Ickle Minion | I love YOU more There was something incredibly nostalgic about being stood next to Vashti in the Great Hall at Hogwarts for the first time in what must have been at least 35 years. The last time they were here she was saying goodbye to her dear younger friend as she handed over her badge and graduated into bigger and better things. The years she had spent in those hallowed halls however had left her with memories to last a lifetime. A smile befell her lips as a singular memory care flooding back as she looked at her friend. “Look at us, Slytherdove and Spatulaclaw back together again” she chuckled softly. To most they probably had no clue what they were talking about but that made the memory even more special. Isabella quickly joined the gathering and Trixie sent a warm smile in the direction of her fellow Wizarding University Colleague.
But then along came the most darling little first year (Tamara) who bravely approached the booth on her own to ask a question. The former Slytherin bent over slightly to be more in line with her height in an effort to appear less intimidating. She was quite sure she was one of the oldest in attendance at fifty-four and therefore would probably make the little ones nervous if it wasn’t for her extremely warm demeanour and mothering nature. If she could’ve Trixie probably would have surrounded herself with even more children but five had seemed the sensible option. “Hello sweetie” she started the conversation off. “I teach Healing Studies at University. I’d been a qualified Healer for around 30 years before I decided to educate the next generation.” And Merlin did she love every second.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sophia Svensson #556B2F Slytherin Fifth Year Hogwarts RPG Name: Eulalia Walles (#F48037) Hufflepuff Fourth Year | Constant Vigilance! O_O AWAKE! Well, this was a courageous kid. Isabella returned the smile of one of the others (Trixie) before waving at the student (Tamara). "Hi there," she said brightly. "And I teach experimental charms at university, but I also do research about new charms and new uses for old charms." Since she knew the students had their own charms course, she didn't feel the need to over-explain anything. After all, the children were probably getting so much information today. She imagined that could be overwhelming. |

| Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight Like most of his associates here at the Job Fair, Jake had come armed with pamphlets, plus regular old information sheets and a small stack of business cards - not only his own, but of his colleagues in the same line of work. He had not deceived himself into thinking that many - or any - of the students would have that line of work in mind as a potential career already, or that it had even occurred to them as a possibility. That hadn't deterred him at all, this being the perfect opportunity to introduce it as an option in the first place.
Here at the Education and Research booth, Jake naturally recognised Trixie, with whom he attended Hogwarts for his fifth and seventh years, both of them finishing school in the same year - his and Becca's eldest was better acquainted with her these days. And then Vashti Amstern; he was less familiar with her, and her appearance did inspire just the slightest twinge of awkwardness, given what had happened to her husband here, and everything he now knew about what had occurred on that bridge, but it was a twinge he boldly withstood. The others were a little after his time, Hogwarts-wise, and he wasn't familiar with either (though naturally, Jake was familiar with the name 'Melo') but he'd greeted both with a nod and a small smile earlier in the day all the same.
Was he also keeping an eye out for his own children - and grandchildren - in this crowd? Absolutely. Three of them were at That Age where this kind of thing would benefit them, but Jake wouldn't have complained about seeing any of the others.
Taking note of a student who looked to be about the age of his youngest lot, Jake refrained from answering right away, waiting for a couple of those who did teach to speak up first, before throwing in his two knuts. "I'm not a teacher myself, though I did all the training at university." Long story. Well, not that long, but not something he needed to get into here. "I work with young people, at-risk youth - as a mentor. Sort of education-adjacent, for anyone interested in that sort of thing."
This last part he said also for the benefit of anyone in the area, who might be window-shopping the different career routes. He smiled at the girl, before his attention was diverted by a familiar figure who'd moved in the corner of his eye.
He turned to face him, wavered for a moment, then murmured in his grandson's direction: "... Milo, c'mon. Shoes." _____ Milo had not planned to come here today. It had not been on his agenda, especially given the venue, but rather an impulse he had followed when the day itself arrived. As such, he had not concerned himself with - or even noticed - the dress code, and strolled through in his usual purple-green mismatched attire, barefooted as he invariably seemed to be.
Perhaps it was natural that his feet should bring him to this particular area, research and experimentation and all that came with it being where his interests naturally strayed. Milo was not disappointed to see Papo Jake there, either, but slunk away without a word and moved towards the other booth hosts, in search of something that caught his attention.
Really, though, if it came neatly wrapped up in a leaflet or prospectus, Milo suspected it would not be for him, in the same way he knew that an enforced curriculum was little more than a cage. Just as unappealing as as cage: an already-forged path, a map, and a set of instructions. In any case, what drew his interest more than any other was unlikely to appear in a school-sanctioned Job Fair booth.
But still he'd shown up, knowing also that he did not know everything for certain.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Vera Brinley Thanatos Gryffindor Graduated Hogwarts RPG Name: Mandrake Beery Slytherin Fifth Year | Anashti l Brat Pack l Sally & Dr. Finklestein The first of the group that addressed her was certainly exuberant, and had a friendly smile that should have put her at ease and yet she suddenly felt even shier still. Perhaps it would have been worth begging one of her family member's to accompanying her. Or even just following them around. She didn't think Anna or Lally would have minded. He was asking her questions as well though, which meant she had something to focus on in order to get her voice to work properly. WAS she interested in Wizarding History? "Umm... well, I like the history surrounding how our music has progressed and the impact different groups have made." That was a very narrow interest though, she did not quite enjoy wizarding history in it's entirety. There was certainly a lot of darkness in the past and sometimes it made her sad to think about (even if she could admit it was important to know). "What drew you to history? You seem really passionate about it." She could appreciate that at the very least.
The next woman brought herself closer to Tam's level and spoke to her in a way which made her think of her own Mum at home. She was perhaps hit with the slightest bit of homesickness in the moment, but also felt a little more at ease - which might have shown in the slightest relaxation of her shoulders. Healing Studies, was it? And at university? While again she had admittedly not thought of teaching much, teaching older groups seemed like an easier way to go because they generally had a better attention span. Though... younger had more enthusiasm. "Do you like teaching? What made you decide to teach at the university level?" She asked the woman curiously.
Now Charms was not usually a field she thought much on, but getting to work experimentally on spells DID sound like it would have it's own level of excitement in a work day. Tam found herself momentarily considering what charms she could think of (an admittedly small list, given the fact she was only a first year). She was curious if there was any of them she'd like to know if she had different uses for but... nothing came to mind. She still wanted to ask a question though, because it was nice they were giving up their time to educate when they didn't have too so Tam did want to express interest even if perhaps the careers were not her cup of tea. "What is the coolest use you've discovered for a charm? Or... that someone has discovered?"
The last of the hosts that had addressed her got another small smile from her. She considered asking why he hadn't ended up teaching when he'd trained to do so, but he was offering what he did do instead and her curiosity was immediately centered elsewhere. At risk youth? She considered for a moment asking what it meant for a student to be 'at risk' but... she figured it was not particularly a pleasant topic or perhaps something he even could have expanded on for privacy purposes. So instead, she found herself asking more about what it meant then for his job. "What is it you do as a mentor? Like.. tutoring for those struggling in school or?" The appearance of another student also put her more at ease, recognizing him from the commons. She gave him a small smile but he seemed busy sorting through the hosts to speak with someone so she did not try to engage.
