 It goes without saying that everyone's favourite person in the train is the trolley lady. Old, plump, and just as sweet as the food she sells, she can provide you with the sugary delights you desire -- from Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans to Chocolate Frogs to Pumpkin Pasties, it is all there in her trolley! The woman comes around during the middle of the journey and is generally the cause for any traffic jams taking place in the corridor.
When you hear "Anything from the trolley?" be hollered, even from a distance, it would be wise of you to jump up, make sure you have your money in your pocket, and get in the corridor before a long line begins to form. If you are the unfortunate soul that has to deal with an endless line, keep calm and stay put because the wait is certainly worth it. Please make sure you are waiting your turn with patience because the trolley lady is likely to refuse making a transaction with you if she sees you trying to cut in line or pushing people out of the way.
OOC: No one plays the trolley lady, so please role-play receiving snacks and paying on your own.

One thing about Felicity was that she was a bit of a bottomless hole at times. She could eat and eat and eat and not even really think about it. And then at other times she could go half a day without eating and barely even notice. Her stomach was funny that way. Today, however, she was in an eating mood.
She had made her way to the food trolley, and then realized she had taken a bit too long to get there. The line stretched all the way to the back of the car. She was going to buy a couple of her favorite snack, Cauldron Cakes, for the trip so she didn't have to keep going out to find the trolley and come back. So she waited and waited in line, but she wasn't too bothered. She hummed a little tune to herself, rocking on the balls of her feet and thinking about what Hogwarts would be like. She'd heard stories from some friends at Beauxbatons this past year, but wouldn't really know for herself until she got there, would she? |

Now what should she occupy herself with while she waited for her turn at the trolley? What could you even buy from the trolley lady? Nothing she had read had given her any clues. Cauldron cakes or jelly slugs or something like that would be nice.
Letting her eyes wander over the students standing in line ahead of her her eyes stopped on the girl just ahead over that was rocking on her feet. Reaching out she gently tapped the other girl on the arm with a finger saying. "Hi! Any idea what is holding up the line? And also do you know what you can buy from the trolley?"

She stood on her tippy toes to try and look towards the front. It seemed like someone was buying up a lot of snacks...
"Ah, there's someone buying a lot of things, I think. I hope there's still Cauldron Cakes by the time I get up there..." She put a hand over her stomach as it growled. "But, now that you ask, I guess I don't know if they sell those. It's my first time coming to Hogwarts, so...I don't know what they sell on the Express." She started getting lost in her thoughts again. That tended to happen with Felicity as well, where she would go off on a tangent where she was essentially talking to herself. "Well, it would make sense to have Cauldron Cakes, since they're so popular. If they don't I guess I would get some Chocolate Frogs, but I always only get Newt Scamander cards and I'm getting tired of that. So maybe I'd get some Bertie Botts? But some of the flavors are gross...I hope they don't only have Pumpkin Pasties, that would be the worst...What would you get?" She looked back to the girl, not even thinking to introduce herself. | |
