Three Broomsticks https://s26.postimg.cc/5clkhldw9/thr...cks-banner.jpg The Three Broomsticks is the most well-known pub in the small village, which is why it is often rather crowded with students and adults alike. The outside of the building is a good preview of what the inside may look like with the same steep roof as the surrounding buildings with a sign featuring the legendary three boomsticks, all fixed around a lantern to light the patrons' way. It certainly looks better kept than the Hog's Head down the street. |
Sparrow Afrika was excited for a Hogsmeade weekend. She loved days off and she especially loved days off where she could spend time with the one and only Sparrow (insert perpetual heart eyes here). It was no Nandos, which, after Christmas break, she had recently had a thing for, but lunch out with the boooooyfriend was something that she was very much looking forward to. |

He'd told everyone he knew, but he still wasn't sure they really understood. She was the best best. Best of the best. Most amazing. And he'd introduced her to Nando's and she'd LOVED it, which made everything even better. He couldn't imagine breaking up with her and so it was good that he didn't have to - because Nando's really was a deal breaker. Ask Beau Montague. Ask anyone who'd ever been to Nando's ever. Anyone would think that his face must hurt, but Sparrow had been grinning so wide for months now that he didn't feel any pain at all. He'd also stopped worrying about whether or not his hands were sweaty when they held hands (although that might have partly been due to the fact that it was FREEZING). So he was holding Afrika's hand in his and swinging it along a little as they went into the Three Broomsticks and he chose a booth. "Have I told you you look pretty? You look super pretty." |
Quote:
PERFECT boyfriend was perfect. They'd even gotten over just giggling the entire time they were holding hands. Weren't they super cute? She thought they were cuuuute. "Thanks. You look pretty too." she said happily. She settled into the booth. "You've got me craving Nando's now." True story. |
For Lili! Jackson had to admit... he was a little nervous. Not because of a lack of confidence in himself or anything, but he wasn't very experienced in the dating world. Don't tell his date though. Jackson was taking a guess, but he was hoping Lili wouldn't mind starting here and not at Madame Puddifoot's or something. Sorry, that was too much for him. Instead he took a seat at a table along the wall, hoping to steer clear of anyone hitting their chairs and everything. |
Quote:
Ahh. There he was. "Hi Jackson!" She murmured with a beam as she headed over to where he was sitting. |
Quote:
Afriiiiiiikaaaaaa. Even her name was pretty. Maybe Corbin could help him write a soooooNG about her because her name made him feel sing-songy. Except he'd never ask Corbin, because Corbin was kinda scary. "You'll be craving it all the time, now," he said with a little bit of a laugh, refusing to let go of her hand even though they were sat down now. "But we can go again next time we're home." For now, the Three Broomsticks would have to do. SIGH. |
Quote:
She leaned her head on his shoulder. "What are you going to get?" More importantly, was he going to share? Because that was cute. They could order things and share them! |

Jackson had two butterbeers at the table waiting and was glad to see that his date had arrived sooner rather than later. He didn’t want stale butterbeer… If that was a thing. Was it? He smiled as she approached him and stood to give her a hug. “Hey,” he gave her a big smile. “You look good. How are you?” What did you ask girls on dates? Would they just talk without prompting? He had hung out with Lili before, but never this… formally? Were his palms sweating yet? Probably. He discreetly wiped them on his jeans just in case as he took his seat again. Eyes still on his date, he lifted his drink to cheers her. Extra? Maybe. But oh well. |

Now he had to think about things and.... Where was Beau? He'd have to seek his help later. But RIGHT THEN was all about him and Afrika. "I want hot chocolate, I think," he said, pulling the menu towards himself with his free hand. "And maybe we could get the fruit and chocolate to share?" Was he a MIND READER?! |
Quote:
Also -- how cute was it that he was thinking ahead? Best. Boyfriend. Ever. And he just kept getting better. "Yes." she said simply. "I want all of those things." Was he a mindreader? Because he nailed it. |
Skyler quietly walked into the three broomsticka hoping to be unnoticed. Doubting it considering she took a brisk walk around Hogsmede to stop from crying. (((Which did not work.) So now, she was all red faced and a bit sniffly. She blinked and looked around. Good. Nobody from her house was in here, yet. |

"I'm good thanks. how are you?" She murmured with a smile as she took a seat down. "It's so nice to be out of the castle for a few hours" |
Patrick needed a break. This fog was ridiculous and he needed a break to relax. He walked into the three broomsticks ready to have a butter beer and some Mac n cheese. For some reason the Mac n cheese was way better here than at the castle. Although he supposed Three Broomsticks mac m cheese was close enough to his moms recipe that it felt like he was at home eating. He pulled his sweatshirt a bit tighter and waited trying to decide if he was going to get more food since he was hungry. He was surprised there weren’t more classmates hanging around this weekend so far. Maybe he was just over eager to get out of the castle. |
anyone and everyone welcome to snag Everything about Hogsmeade was far better than he could have imagined. Rowan had heard lots of aspects about it, but when he first stepped onto the cobbled streets in the brisk morning, he had no idea how absolutely beautiful it was. It was simple, yet breathtaking at the same time; something he didn't think was possible. Though he was excited to explore, the twelve year old was reaaaally hungry. So, after hunting down the streets, he found the Three Broomsticks and made his way inside. The warmth of the place caused his tense shoulders to relax. It had been so chilly outside, it was really nice to be able to just walk comfortably. It had seemed like it took ages to walk all the way here. After ordering his Butterbeer and macaroni (because he's definitely not a little kid), he made his way to an empty table and plopped down. He pulled off his beanie and unwrapped his scarf, shaking his head to get the bits of snow out of his hair. |
Bernadette love! Blake was pretty happy to be in Hogsmeade for the first time. Since last year they were all in France he obviously didn't get to go. So nothing was going to stop him from enjoying his time here. After a quick drink of butterbeer which he had heard was the best ever he was going to hit up Zonkos... he still was undecided about going to the Shrieking Shake ..... that seemed a little too scary of him, but how knows what could happen. Taking an empty table with his butter beer in tow he was ready. He had a tinge of loneliness... despite his best effort to make more friends he didn't have a huge amount. He had of course met Isla, in his own house, and some other boy from Gryffindor he thought .. though now he couldn't remember his name. And things had gone drastically down hill with Claudine, and don't even get him started on Bernadette. After that craziness at the Halloween dance he was unsure were they left them ... so he found himself once again alone. |
You're NEVER alone, Blake Ryan! Quote:
The second year bought herself a big mug and then headed toward the less crowded area of the pub. They weren't kidding when they said Hogsmeade got crowded! Truth be told, she didn't know who to sit with... but she did she Blake Ryan, by himself this time, and didn't see many other empty tables, so... Bernie slid into his table with a loud SLURRRRRRP of her drink. Look, she wasn't saying to him and she wasn't picking a fight, so. Could they just get along??? She raised her eyebrows at him from across her mug and the shrugged out of her winter peacoat. Sorry, Blake, looks like you were getting company because Bernie was getting cozy! |
SPOILER!!: Bernie Blake choked on his butter beer and coughed a couple times as Bernadette took a seat without so much as a 'howdy do'. So this is how she wanted to play it? Ignore him for weeks and then just flounce back to his table. He wanted to be angry, he wanted to pretend that it hadn't bothered him, he wanted to still think girls suck ... but the truth of the matter was .. he missed her. And not in so much as a 'romantic' sense ... though he'd also be lying if he didn't find her cute ... if girls could even be cute that is. But she really was his best friend... he didn't have many, but Bernadette was one. Clearing his throat, he turned toward her. "Hey Bernadette." He felt super awkward... how could he make this less awkward?? "Haven't seen you in a while..... how have you been." There he added the sting to let her know he was ignored .. but still nice enough to open the conversation to rekindle their friendship. |
Ah, Blaaaaaaaake. It was just like old times, wasn't it? With him getting all sputtery and red-faced whenever she did something? Thing was, Bernie wasn't really up to anything just this moment, besides sitting down and drinking her "Eh, y'know," the second year shrugged; secretly, she was very puzzled that Blake had been working himself just to ask a rather boring question. "School n stuff." She took another sip of delicious, foamy butterbeer, and didn't realize she had a mustache as she sat her mug down on the table with a soft clink. "And you?" Well? How was he? Not going to be weirder today, she hoped???? |
Quote:
Sucking in air and taking a deep breath he looked back over at her. "Let's just get this over with ... what was the Halloween Dance all about?" There he said it .. and ... did she even care that he had been sucked into a portrait ... I mean he was only in there for |
Quote:
She flipped her short-ish hair over one shoulder, still wearing the mustache, and stared blankly at him. "What do you mean, what was the Halloween Dance all about?" Duh, Blake, wasn't the answer obvious here???? "It was about Halloween, I'm pretttttty sure? And practicing your Transfiguration skills on whatever costume you wore????????" Duh????????? Slytherins, man. Sometimes you just had to spell everything out for them. |
SPOILER!!: Blake's grin about the mustache thing didn't go away especially when she added to it. But he was finally able to control himself with the giggling. "Here let me help." He added grabbing a napkin and helping to wipe it off her face... Blake blushed and got butterflies in his stomach .... okay .. he crossed a line! "Sorry ... " He added handing her the napkin to finish the job on her own. And then ...... and then ... Blake was so flustered he couldn't even think straight .... she insulted his 'manhood' but even suggesting that he didn't have a mustache of his own. "I'll have you know I have mustache hair coming. Look closer!" He demanding puffing out his upper lip so she could like at the There now that THAT was settle ... because very clearly he had a REAL mustache, they could move on to other matters .. like the Halloween dance. "I'm not talking about the dance itself." Jeepers what was it with Gryffindors.... "I'm talking about your issue with me dancing without you." There no need to mention Isla directly .. no need to mention they partnered with each other to co-parent.... |
Quote:
Awkward..........! She did not even WANT to look at Blake's face now, much less his mustache hairs, and waved him away. He was such a silly child, did he know that? She sighed as he again insisted on talking about that stupid Halloween dance. "I didn't have an issue with you and your new girlfriend dancing together," Bernie replied evenly. "Or should I call her your wife? Aren't you raising a child together, Blake?" What, was Isla here right now? Bernie had half a mind to glance over her shoulder to check. |
SPOILER!!: Blake, was rather put off that she didn't want to look at his mustache, it was a fine one if he did say so himself ... but moot point, they had clearly moved onto the main part of the conversation .. the meat and potatoes if you would... and it was indeed about Isla .. Blake had a feeling it was about her... with Bernadette is about Isla, with Claudine it's about Bernadette.... why do girls have to make everything so complicated... "She's not my girlfriend." Blake added a little defensively. He didn't want a girlfriend.... well .. maybe one wouldn't be so bad ... but no ... not now.. not with the only girls he knew ignoring him for weeks. And then Bernadette brought up the parenting assignment ... did he tell her he wanted to pair with her ... did he tell her that she was his first pick, but then she had already partnered with someone else before he got there!! This was really all her fault .. really it was. "As I recall at the sign up you were holding hands with some other kid ... seemed like you were rather partnered up before I even got to the hall." Ha there! Take that! Blake didn't really want to fight with her, he hated that they were at odds, but he couldn't just let her win.. no ma'am it wasn't going to be that easy. |
Quote:
"Oh yeah, Phoebe claimed me." She admitted it easily, and with a small shrug. "We're dormmates. It only makes sense that we'd be partners for the project, in case the baby cries at night." Duhhhhhhhhhh again, Blaaaaaaake. "What's it to ya, huh?" He shouldn't care who she did and did not partner with! "We can't always be partners in all our classes, Blake. People will start to think we're............up...............to something............" She trailed off and looked down at her butterbeer, searching for a change of topic. "So, anyway, what do ya think of all these Founders wandering around Hogwarts? Weird, right?" Did he even know she had blown up the Dueling Arena because Godric Gryffindor told her to? Did he even C A R E? |
