And it wasn't as though Kyroh Scabior was scared or anything, he knew Kings Cross pretty well by now, but he still had to FIND his parents before he left. Or COULDN'T leave because...well...they had his stuff.
Taking a deep breath the thirteen year old ran back OUT of 9 3/4 through the wall to look for them. It was a GOOD idea really. Until he burst through the barrier smashed into a group of muggles and tumbled onto the ground.
After she had gotten Milton and Taryn to go back home, Evie had stood waiting at the platform for an excruciating.... five minutes before getting bored. Her cat was getting anxious and wiggly in her carrier, so Evie plucked her out of the cage and held her to her chest. Then she ditched her cart of school supplies and walked around. People watching. Platform watching.
She found herself at the wall again and was tempted to try going through it again. Would she be able to? She was curious to find out, so she glanced around her before quickly walking through it again. She popped her eyes open on the other side and stepped to the side of the wall. And a few moments later, a boy came bursting through... and didn't stop until he crashed into a group of people.
Button (the cat) wiggled around in her arms, but Evie calmed her with few pats on her head. She walked over to the boy and peered over him. "Are you okay?" Like, not dead? or broken?

His leg hurt.
And there was lots of yelling which Kyroh figured was UNNECESSARY. Unless of course some Muggles just saw him appear through the wall then of course that was necessary. "Sorry- sorry. Didn't mean to. Uh- was looking for my parents." Which wasn't a LIE at all. Rubbing his right leg he was about to get up when a girl appeared above him.
WITH A CAT.
"If I say yes are you going to arrest me?"
She didn't LOOK like law enforcement but she COULD have been undercover y'know.

Evie peered down at the boy with a puzzled look. Did she look like she was old enough to arrest people? "No," she replied simply.
She shifted her cat into one arm and held her arm out for him to grab. Because he didn't look he was okay and might need some help. So she was being nice. He was obviously a wizard, since he had come from the wall. So that made him... trustworthy, she supposed. Trustworthy enough.

AH! Okay!
"Alright! Then I'm okay!" Beaming he reached for the girls hand and helped pull himself up. The fall was nothing. Kyroh was used to being on the floor, rolling around, dancing, whatever. It was just the little knee bump and the fact that the whole thing involved Muggles. "You should know though, if you were going to arrest me i'd advise you to arrest that old man over there first." He pointed to the grumbling man who was slowly walking away. "He seems like the type to want to start a fight.....maybe."

Dylan gripped the handle of his trolley tightly as he pushed it towards the platform. He came to a stop before it and glanced behind him at his parents, giving them a half smile. He then looked down at his younger siblings, Lydia and Blake and bent down to give each a tight hug. He patted Lydia's head and ruffled Blake's hair. "You two stay out of trouble for mum and dad, alright?" he said with a chuckle as he stood to say goodbye to his parents. "See ya-" he began to say when his mother wrapped him in a tight hug. "Oof!" he grunted at her tight embrace and laughed, hugging her back and then hugging his dad. "Owl us as soon as you get there, alright sweetheart?" Cynthia said before kissing his forehead. "Mum, not...not here..." Dylan mumbled, glancing around nervously in case anyone he knew was nearby. Phew! Coast looked clear. He chuckled and turned and gripped his trolley once more, glancing at the cat carrier in which Ginger sat, looking at him through the bars. "Ready Ginger?" he asked. She meowed loudly and he smiled, running towards the wall, his long strawberry blonde hair flying behind him.

"If I can remember where it was," he said, shrugging and pushing his cart forward. "It was weird. It was behind a bunch of other things."
Third year electives. Right. He was glad that he didn't have to deal with those quite yet. Something about choosing them made him feel like he was choosing a direction and he wasn't quite ready for that. "Do you know what you're going to take? I accidentally wandered into Ancient Runes last year with the whole.. fairy tale book thing..."
"We can find something else to read, maybe. I don't really go in the library much for books, but I should go more." And Thornton could be a good influence on her. Wouldn't her Oggie find that so ironic? She was actually LESS distracted by a boy instead of more distracted?
She hopped off the edge of her cart to keep it from rolling away. "My mum says that you should take loads of classes so that you can decide what you want. You can always get rid of them later. I was thinking Muggle Studies, Care of Magical Creatures, Ancient Runes... probably not Arithmancy or Div 'cause they seem so hard and you have to be 'specially gifted anyway. I'm not 'specially good at anything." Dot eyed the barrier again. "I'm scared to go through."

"Why were you running anyway?" she asked. He didn't have to bolt that fast. Maybe he wouldn't have run into those people if he hadn't.
Last term at Hogwarts. Was he nervous? A little. NEWTs seemed a bit daunting. Was he sad? Also a little since he had no idea what to do after. Sighing James eyed all the stuff on his trolley and looked around. His dad wasn't here this time nor his mum. It was really quite different.
He pushed the trolley toward the wall carefully so he didn't knock over his stuff and scare his new owl. He still didn't have a name for her. Maybe Zoe could think of one. Speaking of he looked up and saw his girlfriend talking to a younger boy in a sight that was familiar from his first time here except she wasn't being mean to the kid. "Ms. Tillstorm, stop teasing the poor kid," he said with a smirk as he came up beside her and kissed her cheek.
He looked curiously at the younger boy and older Huffie who's name he'd forgotten. Oh well. "Fancy seeing you here," he said to Zoe with a smirk on his face and reached for her hand. "I am sad we didn't spend a lot of time together this summer though." Mum and dad had changed their mind about leaving him at home along when they heard from his brother he had a girlfriend. Little git.

Oh, she understood now. Old people got away with anything. And this boy didn't like it very much, she observed. "Her name is Button," she said with a smile as the little black kitty meowed at the boy. Button was an attention hog.
His parents were around here too? Maybe she wasn't as lame for having her brother here as she thought. But this boy looked a little younger than her anyway. "Did you come with them?" she asked. Because if they did, why did they split up? That seemed kind of dumb.

Brian wasn't very sure if they were joking. Why would he think that? "Uh, well. Most people think so, if you're telling them that you're trying to get to a Platform 9 3/4," he whispered back. Yup. But whoa there, mister. Slow down a little. You want him to walk through a solid wall? "Of COURSE it'd hurt! It's a WALL!" he said, his eyes widening in horror.
Were they trying to KILL him?!
"If I run into that wall and it's solid brick, I'm holding you guys personally responsible for my untimely death," he said, almost serious. But then again, he supposed that in a world where there were magical measuring tapes and goblins who worked at banks, he could probably walk into a wall and live to see the light of tomorrow. Maybe, just maybe, he could walk through a wall and appear at a platform. Wouldn't that be something to tell his mom?

"Am I supposed to go now?"
"She's right,'' Adi said to the new kid and nodding in the direction of the older girl (whose name he thought was Zoe). "Take it in a run if you get nervous.'' He would have liked to add 'scared' to that sentence but the guy seemed to be feeling that already. "It only looks solid,'' the Hufflepuff explained patiently. "It won't hurt you a bit.''
He tried to recall his first time through the Wall. What he recalled was nerves too, despite being explained to how it all worked by his mom. Ah well, they were only human. "Yep, you can go now. We'll...'' Adi glanced at Zoe and James. Maybe they were going to hang around here for a while more? "I'll be right behind you.'' He smiled encouragingly at the boy before turning to Zoe.
"I watched you play Gobstones last term. You're really awesome at it.'' Indeed she was.
James listened tot he conversation between the younger kid, Zoe and the boy who's name he forgot. Okay this was getting a bit boring. "Watch me," he said to the younger boy before kissing Zoe again. "Meet you on the other side," he said with a wink before running toward the wall. He stood up on the back of the trolley and rode it through the wall with a grin at Zoe. He still loved doing that.

Brian nodded. "Okay. Let's do this." Okay, so apparently there was a consensus that if he ran at that wall, he would go right through it. It was not solid wall. Maybe if he kept repeating that to himself he might believe it. Not solid. "It's not going to hurt. Not solid. Not going to hurt." Okay, guess what? It wasn't working. He was still pretty terrified of that one brick wall.
Turning towards the girl who suggested running at it, he offered her a small smile and a wave before he took off with his trolley. Everything was going just great as he charged at the wall. There was just one minor setback. He lost his mojo completely right before the trolley hit the wall.
Come on, Brian. Why would they lie to you about a wall not being a wall. He inhaled shakily, trying to calm his nerves before pushing his trolley gingerly into the wall. Surprise, surprise! "IT WENT THROUGH! IT ACTUALLY WENT THROUGH THE WALL!" he whisper-shouted.
He turned around, his eyes wide with disbelief as he pushed the trolley all the way through and then disappeared through the wall. WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!

"Go for it,'' Adi encouraged and proceeded to watch the boy as he approached the Wall then apprehensively shoved his trolley at it. Adi couldn't help but grin. No doubt the kid was making sure that he was not being duped by a gang of older students.
See? There had been nothing to be afraid of. Adi watched as the last of the boy disappear. He was pleased for him. Next time there wouldn't be nerves around... or at least less of them.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
So he had to come today to see off Aegis...Apparently GeeGee was just fed up with Aegis will all of his Escape attempts he tried over the Summer. In fact, Geegee had instructed him to stick her Grandson's hands onto the 1st cart the he grabbed. Forcing him to go to Hogwarts, or have the Cart Glued to his hands for good. Oakey elected not to instead deciding to have a LONG talk in the drive over with Aegis, who seemed to comply with his requests. He had apparently just agreed to let Aegis learn how to drive his Moped when he came back for Winter Break. "Remeber, it's not that bad." Oakey said once more looking warily at the Damned Eagle Owl that Aegis was adopting from him as his Pet, for Hogwarts. "So..uh yeah. Running Start and all that. Don't be your normal self either, and Happy Birthday"
With that the Former Head Boy, now Father of Two extended his arm to shake his younger brother's hand good bye.
Aegis just kind of blankly stared at Oakey who looked like he himself was forced to drive him over here. He had easily convinced Oakey to teach him to drive the Moped they came in on. He would abuse as much of a Gift he could get out of his adopted brother. Moped Lessons were pretty damn good too."Right whatever. Just remember your Birthday Gift to me once I'm back." He was told countless times that Hogwarts wasn't so bad, that no Deaths have occurred since his Uncle decided to send him to Salem. "I'm perfectly normal!" Aegis retorted with a huff. "that's my defining feature that gets all the ladies." He took Oakey's extended hand, shaking it. "Thanks."
He watched as his Older Brother departed until he was out of sight. Sooooo he could still technically make a run for it right?

Kim was NOT as excited nor thrilled as she seemed to be on the outside. No her face said it all with her stubborn look and her rolled eyes. She waved off her idiot brother before standing at the wall. She was perfectly capable of going through the wall herself........ or so she thought. 'it's not even like real' she told herself it was just a barrier to keep the muggles at bay, yea? Her eyes glanced up at the clock.... fifteen till.. she had plenty of time. "One two....." who the hell was interrupting her running start!? She looked over to see two boys standing way to close to her.. one of them was old enough to be her father it seemed.... ew. Pushing some hair from her face she pointed at the boy who was now alone then at the wall in front of them.. "Go!" she wasn't waiting for forever geeze. Plus she wanted to make sure it was really a barrier and not just a brick wall.

Button? "Why'd you call her that? Did you forget that cats and buttons are two different things?" It was sorta hard to forget, since one was a living breathing thing but Kyroh was going to give the girl the benefit of the doubt because she had helped him out.
The soon to be third year nodded his head eagerly. "Yeah but I sorta lost them in the crowd and stuff." And they had to hurry up and be found because he had to get to school after all.

He followed her gaze to the wall between the platforms. Dot was.. scared? "...How come?"
"I'm not really a book person. I guess it's something I should work on this term?" Dot didn't really feel bad saying it. She liked some books, if they were pretty or dead useful or something, but she felt overwhelmed and small in the library. Like it was more proof that the universe was quite full of things and she didn't understand how she fit into it yet. Very small, and she was already small.
"You have to teach me why it's great. I'll teach you something in return. We're friends." In case he didn't know how friends worked. Although, friends should teach each other things for free instead. "Do you think everyone is good at something? That seems impossible. Some people must be good at nothing." Which was... depressing. Moving on.
She pointed at the barrier. "What if it won't let us through this time?"

The soon to be third year nodded his head eagerly. "Yeah but I sorta lost them in the crowd and stuff." And they had to hurry up and be found because he had to get to school after all.
.... Was he joking? Evie stared at him a moment. "No. I called her that because she's as cute as a button." SEE? It was a cute nickname. Surely he'd understand that.
"Oh," she said, looking back at the wall. "Maybe we should go find them. They're probably on the other side." Along with all her stuff which she probably shouldn't have just left without watching it. Oh well.

He was being stared at. Kyroh just stared right back and offered a smile. "Ooooh." A simile!! Alright! That made SO much more sense than the girl thinking Button was an actual button. Though he never really thought buttons were all that cute anyways, so the comparison didn't make that much sense to him..... "I think she's cuter than a button!"
"That's what I was trying to do. I thought that maybe they had come back over here." Buuuut, it looked like he had thought wrong. Kyroh quickly glanced around the crowd just to double check. Looking back at the girl he raised his hand and grinned some more. "I'm Kyroh Scabior. And I know that's button but who are you?"

Thornton was most certainly a book person, but due in large part to having had mostly books for friends before arriving at Hogwarts. But he did recognize that not everyone was. "You don't need to be a book person," he said, shrugging. "But we can go to library and I can show you when I like it." He nodded. He'd have done it anyway even she hadn't offered to teach him something, though he wondered what she might have in mind.
"I do," he said, shrugging. "And I think the people who think they aren't good at anything just haven't figured out the something that they are good at yet." Did that make sense? "My Seren... she's our, I mean, my sister's, nanny... says that everyone has talent, but that if you judge a grindylow by its ability to climb a tree, it'll spend its whole life thinking it's not good at anything." And she'd reminded him of that in each of her letters during his first year, as he struggled with his coursework.
He looked to the barrier as she pointed, looking just a bit confused. He didn't have any clue why it wouldn't let them through... other people had made it so far, hadn't they? "Well..." he said, tilting his head and looking at it. "If it doesn't, we can figure something out. But we won't know unless we try?" They could go together?
