The Three Broomsticks
 Centered among the shops of Hogsmeade is a well enough known pub in the small village, called The Three Broomsticks. Not unlike the Hog's Head down the street in the strictest idea of pubs, drinks and the like, however it is the atmosphere that helps make the latter choice the one hailed by the mass majority. The outside of the building is a good preview of what the inside may look like with the same steep roof as the surrounding buildings, yet taller, with a sign on it's facade featuring, you guessed it, the legendary three boomsticks, all fixed around a lantern to light the patrons' way.
Once you enter the pub, smells and the warmth of the large stone fireplace great you as you place hats and coats by the door. Directly infront of you there are tables and booths lining the majority of the small hall with oil lamps placed on each one. On winter days it is usually hard to find a place beside the large fire grate but if you're early enough, only Merlin can say what will happen. To your left the bar and most likely the bartender Harold "Hops" Lagerty, await you and your order--a few stools await you to take a load off and shoot the breeze with others.
The bartender is pretty sociable to those who don't annoy him. He's seen his lot of warlocks, goblins, and Hogwarts kids to know which ones were trouble and which of those made loyal customers, so be sure not to be put on the first part of the list.
A few rules from the Shop Owner: No brawling, no shouting (angrily), no alcohol to minors, and don't go up the stairs, I live up there.
OCC Rules: No RPing for the shopkeeper and all other School RPG Rules apply.

Adi's hug, how she missed it badly. She still felt weird not having him around the school. Sure, Henric was still here, but he's very busy with her prefect duty and Ilia... not that she was jealous of Ilia. They both were awesome as a couple (but secretly she still wanted Henric was dating Candice.. Ehm.) So she kinda lost a big brother figure. Ava blinked slightly when Adi handed her some fancy sweets.... Oh, a new creation of him, huh? "Oh, sure! I'll try them on Teddy first." HEHEHE. "Teddy is good, still locking himself in the dorm or the library." Yeah, there's nothing different from him except... "I think he had a crush, one of your friend too... Lux? I found them last summer in an apothecary... and he was totally mad when I said that." She whispered.
"Oh, giraffe! Here you are!" The young lioness said to him. "How could I didn't see you? Hiding behind Ilia?" Hehehe... And then she turned into her awesome fake big brother. "So the university's life is different than Hogwarts?" She asked both of them, Adi and Benny. "I bet that you missed so much from Hogwarts. We had a hag that disguised as a Divination Professor, but she ended up poisoning us with some kind of fume and almost ear a Hufflepuff kid." It's always the Hufflepuffs, cue an eye to Henric. "And the new Potions Professor is so defective and stupid. How could he didn't recognize that the standard ingredients were being tampered? We were poisoning ourselves and then started brewing an antidote, but because of the ingredients, none of our potions worked properly. How... irresponsible." Yeah, Ava started having no respect to that man. He made her feel less-enthusiast with the upcoming potions class. Seriously. "But at least, the new Defense professor is awesome." Professor Hirsch was no Dakest, but he's still awesome. Maybe all Defense Against the Dark Arts Professors were born to be awesome.
Ooooh, first drink! Ava took a glass of warm butterbeer and gulped it. Nom nom nom... "Are you sure that you want to treat me? I am a big eater, remember?" Hehehe... "Can I have ham and cheese sandwich? Oh, and cookies too for dessert."

Yes, she had heard Henric call after her, but she couldn't help herself. She always made it up to him anyways. As for his commentary, pfft she couldn't squeeze him that hard. Besides, she had to let Henric hug him too....and probably a lot of other people. This was where she empathized with Benny while they were in school. Sharing your puff prefect boyfriend was a task in itself.
"Adi, it still sounds odd when you say that." She laughed a little and smiled. Now at least, she knew what he had meant and not the she herself was ,in fact, toothless. "I'm so glad to hear that. Did you all get your presents? Was Garm surprised?" Yes, she loved her baby wolfy pup, she knew that besides herself and the creatures side of her family there were no better hands for him to be in than BenAdi's. Also, she was glad that he gave them some comfort. Living by themselves, Garm would guard and protect them until they were reunited. "I'm so glad that he is with you, so he gets lots of love and attention. I miss him terribly." Oh good, they were doing good at school and championships.
At Adi's response though she giggled and placed her hand back upon Henric's, giving it a loving squeeze. She was beyond happy right now, no one in school but her boys had ever seen this side of her. Now that there were not professors or ghosts, she threw some caution to the wind and leaned back against Henric as she focused back on Benny.
"I'm so glad Benny. I love the name and Linda is a cute nickname." She knew that she could count on Benny to give her a dignified name......and Adi to give her something cutesy hehe. "Oh! I brought a present that I didn't owl for you actually. I saved her eggshell." She smiled brightly and reached into her bag. Gently, she produced a reconstructed Norwegian Ridgeback egg, with lovely iridescent hues. Carefully, she handed it to her friend, protective case and all. "So when you aren't with her, you have a piece of her."
Her attention also shifted to more members of the BenAdi lovefest. Hady , the fellow slytherin had also shown up and....Ava, zooming in like a guided spell. "Hello Hady." She offered her a wave and smile from her spot leaning on Henric. "Good to see you Ava." She got a grin and a giggle. Ilia really enjoyed when the little lion was around.
Oh, butterbeer? Well, why not. "Thank you." She smiled as she listened to everyone. Content....that was this feeling. She had her dear friends, she had the love of her life, and she didn't have anyone here to tell her that hugging them was wrong or too much. She didn't want to be anywhere else right now. "Hogwarts....is as crazy as it ever was." She agreed as she listened to Ava. "I wonder why something always ends up wanting to eat us. Can we taste that good?" She looked up at Henric to see if he had some input in the matter.

University was great so far, but Paulina was enjoying having a bit of a break from it so that she could escape from the stress of homework and do some of the other things that she loved.
Of course she planned to go home to Osaka, but unfortunately there wouldn't be time to do that properly until the summer holidays. The thought of seeing her family again was bittersweet because for the last while she had been keeping a secret from her mother: she had seen Adeline and her niece. How could she ever mention it when things were so strained? Even if she didn't fully know what had happened it didn't take a rocket scientist to know that things had been really BAD between her sister and their mother.
Sighing, Paulina entered The Three Broomsticks and took a seat in the back corner. She needed to figure out what she wanted to eat. And no one here looked familiar. She was way too shy to approach strangers and start talking to them. It boggled her mind how some people managed to do that effortlessly. |

Butterbeer. That was the agenda for the day. Ever since Ryden told him about this place, Jace couldn’t believe that they were allowed to venture into the village and just...experience it. If he were in Mahoutokoro, this won’t be the case. He’d be busy turning his robe into Gold and go crazy with his studies until he glowed. Speaking of Mahoutokoro, Jace was a bit disappointed that Three Broomsticks didn’t offer any...food that closely resembled any Japanese treat. Still full from his late breakfast, the Ravenclaw opted for the signature drink. He paid the shopkeeper with his Sickles...tucked away his change, and immediately raised his mug to his lips to taste this drink that his father loved as a child.
Jace turned to find a seat, both of his tiny hands cupping the mug, not looking at where he was going. He was busy debating with himself if the drink was too sweet, or if it was life-changing. After all, it was his first time to try it out. Then, a couple of older students passed by in a hurry, bumping into the tiny boy along their way as they did so. A bit of his drink spilled onto his hand and on the floor. Jace sighed, turned to where the older students had gone, and bowed to say his apology, “Gommenasai, senpai...” he really ought to pay attention next time.

The young man grinned. "I'll never forget how puzzled you were when I first called you Toothless.'' Poor Ilia had thought she had been actually toothless at the time. "We sure did! Thanks for everything! We and Garm were surprised. You sent us a small mountain of present, Ilia.'' Hehe. But they had appreciated it allllll. Mother hen Ilia... she loved them so much, didn't she? "Yep, he's no trouble at all. I know he misses you too but you and Henny are welcome to come around on your next break. You can even stay a few days if you want.'' Truthfully, Adi wanted that and he knew Benny wouldn't mind.
Adi laughed. It was no surprise that Ava would try them on Teddy first. She and him had this in common: testing the products on those closest to them. Aha! See? He KNEW it! He hadn't heard wrong in the Apothecary. Yup, he had been there at that time but not hanging out with her, Lux and Teddy then since he had been super busy getting all those ingredients for his potion kit. "Did you know Lux didn't know that Teddy had a crush on her? Not until I pointed it out a few months ago.'' His mermaid was so oblivious at times.
"Oh yeah. It is! It's quieter and sometimes boring.'' Adi grinned at Ava. "Sometimes I wish for some excitement like we had at good old Hogwarts.'' Though not life threatening situations, thank you very much. He listened to what Ava was telling him, his eyebrows shooting up. "Woah! A HAG? She's gone now, right?'' Gosh, hadn't no one figured out earlier there was a hag around Hogwarts? He was sorry to hear about the Potions Professor though. "That's too bad. The seventh years from last year kidnapped Culloden and made him teach at Edinburgh instead.'' He grinned. "You guys still have the dueling club?''
Adi laughed again. "Am I sure? I am one hundred percent sure, Ava! Is that all you want? I should probably get something for Teddy too.'' Hmmm.
Ah, yes! Frankie was a prefect too! Adi had forgotten until Hades mentioned it. He remembered how occupied he used to be with those and on top of studying, it was sometimes difficult to get time for himself. But he had enjoyed it all and of he could do it all over, he would without changing a single thing. He looked at Hades with understanding. "Runes was my worst subject but I passed them on both occasions and I know you can too.'' Adi had that much confidence in her. "Awesome! I'll owl them to you.'' He grinned. "You're welcome!'' He sipped his butterbeer. "The plans for being a creatures vet still in full swing?'' | |

"Hello Ilia," she greeted softly with a small nod of her head at her fellow snake. "Hey Henric, Ava." Both got a small smile as well from her. See she was being all polite and such making sure to include everyone.
It was sometimes hard keeping up with it all. Not only did she have her lessons, studies and the other things she took on but spending as much time with Frankie as she could ate up all the rest of her time. Not that she was complaining at all there. "It's my worst too. Zeke and I have an agreement to assist each other with our studies since he's taking Runes as well." Thankfully. It was nice being able to depend on the bestie. Hady smiled at the big brother before taking a sip of her butterbeer. "Totally! I spoke to Professor Draper and he's going to see if he can get me an apprenticeship or job somewhere for this summer." Hopefully he was able to do so. She was rather excited and couldn't wait to hear back from the man.

Henric grinned,"It's been good so far, busy but good." With all of his studying, student leader activities and prefect duties going on, he knew it meant spending less time with his girlfriend but it wasn't always like that. There were some nights he snuck out just so he could see llia and he treasured every waking moment of it. Taken advantage of? He snorted at the thought,"Narh man...you know me, I won't let them get away with it if they do,"he told Adi. He would simply pull out the prefect trump card. One particular firstie "Brady the Brat" came to mind, however. Brady was in his 'special' list of cases. The boy had some issues...and he wanted to get to the bottom of it. Of course, there were other little ickles he wished he could have avoided as well. Although, none of them had managed to get under his skin yet. "You and your levitating joke again, I'm not amused by it, Adi." He shook his head, still smiling.
"I wasn't hiding anywhere, Ava." He rolled his eyes at strawberry shortcake before giving her hair a little ruffle. But, he was happy that she filled in all the details for whatever happened in school so far. Henric listened with amusement but had to stifle a laughter at the part where Brady was the victim of the hag's plan. Poor kid. Hmm...he wasn't in that class when the potion poisoning incident took place, he was just glad that everyone was safe of course. Thank goodness.
Oh look, llia gave something cool to Benny. A reconstructed dragon egg! That was really sweet of her. There was no doubt Benny wouldn't like that. He held her closer to his side, proud of her. And yes!! Butterbeers! "Wow,thanks Adi! This is great! Cheers!" he beamed, lifting his butterbeer glass to everyone before chugging it down.
Henric glanced back at llia when she asked him if he had any input for the matter. Perhaps...this? "Hold on...let me find out the answer for you...Ava close your eyes." He didn't wait for little Ava to close hers though. Henric leaned in and planted a kiss on llia's lips. He pulled back and nodded. "Yup...you definitely taste good." He winked.

Ah there Haddie was getting into the mix of things instead of standing in the sidelines, Adi pulling her into a big brother hug which she returned. It was nice to see such love all around and Benny was realizing just how much he missed this ragtag bunch. Even if he had been pulled into its circle because of his connection to Adi. When his turn was up, he graciously returned the hug he received with one of his own. “Happy, healthy and wise,” he answered as he released her.
Benny then accepted the offered butterbeer from his boyfriend and turned his attention to Ava, the younger Gryffindor filling them in on the happenings of Hogwarts while asking about the differences in school. He had to agree with the first part of Adi’s description but not the second. “Speak for yourself…” he mused before taking a sip of his drink. No extreme aging, fairytale possession, or Merlin forbid acromantulas invasions should ever happen at University. Or Hogwarts for that matter.
And who was the blind one missing the hag?
Back to Ilia his attention went, his head nodding in agreement as Adi answered for the both of them…and the pup. “Yes, thank you, Ilia.” As for her and Henric staying, there really was no problem. It wasn’t like they didn’t have a spare bedroom and the couches for people to crash on should they need or want to visit. And Benny couldn’t help but smile brightly as her laughter and approval of his name for the dragon. All the happiness was goo---
Woah…say what?
The aspiring dragonologist’s gaze was caught on what she was bringing out of her bag, his mind trying to pin together what he was seeing and what Ilia was saying. Her eggshell?! He barely registered his mouth hanging open in surprise as he became speechless in response. When the case was in his hands however, he gripped it securely, but Benny was struggling to get the words to say something.

Adi was so caught up in excitement in passing along his latest pranking product, that he nearly missed what Benny was saying. He laughed. "Yeah, you looked weird... a dragon with smoke pouring from his ears?'' Haha!
Ah, Zeke or the Little Lion Man as Adi used to call him. Well, he supposed the Gryffindor wouldn't be so little now. "Good, I know he'll help you a lot, Hades.'' Zeke was smart guy. And from everyone's letters, especially Henric's and Ilia's, Adi knew that this Professor Draper was the new CoMC teacher. "An internship? That's exciting! You'll have a ton of fun with that.'' Like Benny did with his dragons. Mhmm.
"Just don't get too busy for Ilia,'' Adi advised Henric. He was, of course, speaking from experience. He didn't think he let AJ feel like that when he was with her and her was positive he never let Benny feel it. He laughed. "What would you do? Levitate them like Ava?'' he teased. That secret was safe from everyone else. Adi hadn't blabbed about that unfortunate incident. "What about detention? Amused by those?" He ruffled his 'detention buddy''s hair. "Cheers.'' The young man raised his bottle. "It's no problem, dude.''
At that moment, Adi heard Ilia say something about an eggshell. WOAH! She had actually saved Linda's eggshell? Ilia was quite something, wasn't she? She was like a mother hen when it came to Henric, Benny and him... protective and always doing stuff that made them happy. Adi was sure that this eggshell would mean a lot to Benny. | |

Happy, healthy and wise. Now this was a wonderful answer to hear from the big brothers boyfriend. Hady grinned up at Benny as she was released from the hug she had started. "That makes me really happy to hear." Knowing that both him and Adi were doing well always made her smile but now that they didn't see each other often it was these times with them both that meant all that much more to her.
Shifting her attention back towards Adi she nodded. Of course Zeke would work with her on whatever she might need to keep her ahead in Runes. The lion had never let her down before, if there was anyone she could always trust that boy was one of them. "So do I." Truth right there. Hady smirked nodding her head. "There's nothing final yet as I'm still waiting to hear from him what might still be open but I'm hopeful and totally looking forward to it."

Hearing the word 'Japan', Jace slowly turned to see a lady...about Jakub's age. Well, obviously, him blurting out Japanese words gave so many things away. The Ravenclaw smiled, and walked towards the person who asked him. "Mm...not anymore. I was born and raised in Tokyo though." he said. Jace wondered why he got her attention. "Do you live in Japan?" tilting his head to the right, Jace waited for her answer.
It will be awesome if she did.

It will be awesome if she did. The boy was clearly a First Year judging by how young he looked. Was she really becoming so old? Paulina could barely remember being that age even though she wasn't yet 19 and wouldn't be until the end of August. No matter because she had found someone who had lived in Japan!
Even though she didn't have a drop of Japanese running though her veins she loved living there. It was now her home. "I do. I was born in the United States but I live in Osaka now. I haven't been back there in months though because I am going to university in Edinburgh." She missed being there but the idea of commuting back and forth between Scotland and Japan was not appealing. Despite the fact that magical transportation was much better than the way muggles did things, it would only serve to overwhelm herself. Thank Merlin she was a witch because Paulina wouldn't have been able to deal with taking planes and boats everywhere. Cars were bad enough though she could deal with them.

Paulina figured that he either had family that lived there or had visited the city himself at some point or another.
Clearly it was the latter going off of what he said next.
"I love seeing the blossoms too. How come you don't go there anymore?" That was a real shame since it was a lovely city. Paulina didn't think she wanted to live anywhere else though it was hard to tell for sure given that she wanted to travel the world discovering plants. She could write a detailed book about them in the same way that Phyllida Spore had. It was her dream and she couldn't wait for it to come true. Her attention was turned back to their conversation, however, as he mentioned that his father had wanted him to attend Hogwarts. "You're enjoying Hogwarts then?" That was good to hear since it was a lovely school. The choice to transfer over there was one she did not regret despite the fact that it took her away from her best friend for a time. Now they spent time together whenever they could.

Butterbeer in hand Kelly turned her back to the bar to see if there were any free tables she could sit on. It was weird to be out shopping alone but none of her friends had time. Even though Brian probably just didn't want to come cause he was still scared from the last time she had taken him here to buy half of honeydukes stock of sweets. Which reminded her that they still had to hold a testing day. Maybe she would even record it to keep his reactions as a memory. It was gonna be hilarious.
The longer the Slytherin stood there, the more frustrated she got. Was there really no table for her to sit on? That was impossible...Why were there so many people here anyway? Sigh. | |

Kelly was still looking around the room for a place to sit when she noticed someone's eyes on her. Taking a big gulp from her butterbeer she turned her head to see who was staring at her. It wasn't someone she knew or had seen before. He didn't look intimidating though, maybe she had something on her face or whatever.
After another gulp of her drink the blonde walked up to the dude. "Hello? I noticed you looking my way and i thought i'd just come say hi." What if he wasn't looking at her though and at someone behind her?! That would be terribly awkward. For a moment her bravery left her and she was just praying that this would be over soon.
This was one of the reasons she usually had friends with her. But if he was in fact looking at her...that was a really cool move.

Andi walked into the three broomsticks just ahead of Thomas and looked around for any sign of her son or Niece.. So far though, she hadn't seen either one of them!
She found a seat at a table that was good for the soon to be four of them and she looked up at her husband as he sat down with her.
"This was a good idea love, even though it's not a full vacation.. It'll be so nice to see the kids." She said with a warm smile as she set the bags she had been carrying down on the floor next to her. Of course Piper had things for Azura.. she should have expected that!
"I hope they get here soon, it seems like it's been so long since Christmas!" Andi said as she anxiously watched the door and then yawned a little, she still felt so sleepy and she wondered why. | |

Drinking from his butterbeer, Kevin looked away from the young girl when she didn't interest him anymore. As he sat on the stool, he placed his glass on the counter and looked up at the glasses hanging there. It had been such a long time he had been here. Too bad he wasn't off age yet or else he would have ordered a firewhiskey.
To his suprise, the girl stood next to him suddenly and he drank from his butterbeer again before turning his stool so he could face her. "I did" he said matter of factually, not trying to hide that he had been looking. "I was wondering why you looked so frustrated" he added and turned back so that he wasn't facing her anymore. He picked up his butterbeer glass as he said "I'm Kevin by the way" and drank the last bit. There was a bar stool free next to him but he wasn't going to offer a seat. Girl had to sit down by herself if she wanted to, stay standing or walk away. Her choice.

I'm sorry love, your sister is not right in the head sometimes.." he said softly, a teasing tone to his speech. His wife knew better, she knew that that was all friendly banter.
He gave her hand another squeeze. They shouldn't be long now.

She said with a warm smile as he teased her about her sister.."Yeah, she'd probably say the same thing about you love." Andi said with an adoring grin as she leaned up to kiss her husband. "Ewww Gross! You guys have all year to do that.. can't you can it for like three minutes around me?" Despite the rather insolent words, the tone was teasing and there was a wide smile on the tall lanky boy's face who stood there grinning at his parents.. Wes pushed his dark brown hair out of his dark purple eyes and smiled..
"Hey Mom, Dad.. I found this stray little kitten.. Can I keep it?" He asked with a giggle as he stepped aside and standing behind him was Azura! He had his hand firmly in his cousins hand.. Making sure she didn't trip.. cause they needed to make it down in one piece.. Also he thought it would be funny if Jace saw her holding hands with a guy.. So..
It was two fold!
Azura smiled happily up at her cousin as he stepped aside and she grinned at her aunt and Uncle. "Hey Aunt Andi, Uncle Thomas.. I'm so happy to see you!" And just like that.. She was hugging them tightly!

Wes sat down at the table and looked at his Dad "Oh yes, that would ruin your... street cred?" he teased still holding Wes by his shoulders firmly as he spoke loud enough to be sure to embarrass his son only the slightest. Dads were meant to embarrass their sons from time to time. He nodded as he heard him speak. "You did good Wes, I like to see you taking care of your cousin. But isn't she a little young for boy trouble..?" he asked gazing sideways towards Azura. She was as beautiful as the women in this family were, but he remembered her being a baby as if it was yesterday. He wasn't ready to see her get her heart broken. Or did that already happen?
"Do I need to tell Luke about this..?" he was sure his brother-in-law wouldn't like the idea of his little girl having her heart broken by some teenager boy who didn't know better. Good thing Wes was a boy. Boys had it easier. (OOC:Little did he know? ahahah) His eyes snapped up from the table where he had been drumming his fingers. Blue and sharp, as he heard Wes' saying he hadn't found a girl yet. "Oh do tell me. Have you been looking? Only yesterday girls were disgusting to you.. when did that change?" Was is time for them to have a talk? He peeked at Andi. She and Azura seemed immersed in girl gossip, was it safe?
"You that you should be respectful and sensitive, you know all of that, right? I mean your mother has been drilling it into your head all your life... But tell me all about that." he said in a conspiratory murmur.
