Rae entered the dark pub and glanced at the full tables. She sighed quietly. She had so been looking forward to a quiet meal, but it didn't look as if that was in the cards for her right now. Sliding into a booth by the far wall, Rae pulled a menu up in front of her face.

"I..." he blushed and coughed then, took a sip of his drink. "Not entirely, no. So long as the relationship is kept private, I do not see a reason to damper it."

"Good," she studied her menu once again before setting it folded onto the tabletop. "I don't suppose we'll ever get service in this crowd. Maybe I should just head to Flourish and Blotts."

"I suppose, if you are in a bit of a rush to get there," he said trying to look unconcerned, though it was clear by his tone that he was disappointed. He tried to drum up the courage to ask her out again but, his voice was escaping him.

"Why don't you come with me?" She tilted her head and offered her hand. "I'll let you buy me ice cream and everything."

"Ice cream is a poor substitute for a real dinner," he replied but, stood and took her hand. "Perhaps I can take you to one of my favorite restaurants once we are finished at the bookstore?"
