Front of the train getting full? No worries, there's plenty of room in the back cars. Mind your step and take small children by the hand. Kiss your Ma and your Pa, get the last jab in at your younger siblings, but don't dally!
The Hogwarts Express will be pulling out soon, headed to Hogwarts for another magical year. You may RP your character boarding the train here, saying their goodbyes, and meeting new Hogwarts students.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

“The only job I really know of is the Auror's.” Natasha added thinking back. No other jobs had ever been mentioned, that she could remember.
Daichi smiled when she shook his hand. Not alot of first years did that. They were either a little hesitant or nervous but it seemed that she wasn't when she shook his hand. He placed his hands in his pockets and leaned against the trolley.
Auror's? He hadn't thought about that job to be honest. "I don't think being an Auror is something for me..." he admitted. He wasn't exactly the best when it came to magical abilities. Merlin's beard he still blew things up! "Sounds like you want to become one , you have to study really hard then" from what he had heard.

"Daichi?" she asked, giving him a stare. "Well, what does that supposed to mean anyway?" It wasn't like she had a common name, still Daichi looked alien, didn't it?
Model student of the school?
His cheeks blazed a deep red color when he heard that. He never thought of himself as a model student. Sure, he liked helping others and that was probably why he had become a Prefect. He willed his cheeks to cool off as he listened to the question if the Headboy or girl was a Slytherin as well. "No" he answered. "the Headboy was a Slytherin last year. This year from what i heard in Diagon Alley are two Hufflepuffs" so they had to deal with Puffer Headboy/girl, Puffer Prefect, Puffer Headmistress and the fact that Puffers always won the quidditch and house cups...Mweh
He started to laugh however when she asked about his name. "It's Japanese" he chuckled. "And no i amnot from Japan and neither is one of my parents." his father is English and his mother was Korean.

"I guess you can become one if you help others while staying humble?" cause that's how he thought it worked. "Maybe have some leadership traits?" which they had to dig deep down from him... but the main thing is, don't strife to become a Prefect. Professors and your head of house will notice it if you only help to become a Prefect. It doesn't work that way." he said, his voice sounded more leader like than before. "Plus from the Leaders last year i know for a fact that some of them including me were a little surprised when we gotten the badge" which he thought was a far more better feeling than KNOWING you'd be one. Also, people who strifed towards being a Prefect often feel let down when they didn't become one anyway.
Rory Ashworth, seventh year Ravenclaw, walked into to the platform. As usual he walked quickly and upright, with his shoulders down and chin up. Since he had a snobbish personality he liked showing off his height, and he always tried to be as tall as he could, especially in public. In one hand he had his large luggage while in the other he was holding his scarf (since he's very skinny he often gets cold) and a small book, with a black leather cover.
The Ravenclaw continued walking towards the south platform. While walking he saw two first years chattering and laughing. They were probably babbling about how excited they are, since it is their first year at Hogwarts. Ughhh... Rory rolled his bright blue eyes, we wondered if also he was so enthused at his first year. Maybe... but probably not. Rory never liked children, children are simply irritating and always talking in squeaky voices. They sometimes made him nauseous. "Ignore them Rory... Simply ignore them..." he mumbled to himself as continued to walk. Not even daring himself to look back. He preferred more mature people (teenagers and older) especially clever mature people.
Rory stopped for a moment, and put his scarf over his neck, but he didn't wrap it since it wasn't so cold, yet. He turned his head, looking for his friend, Joanna. Then he remembered that Joanna had graduated. Once again he had forgotten. Joanna was his best friend, and it was difficult for him to except the fact that she won't attend Hogwarts anymore... or at all. He had known Joanna ever since he was a second year, and they have been friends ever since. He sighed, he should stop thinking about her and look for his other friends. He doesn't want to depress himself already on the first day of school. He was already depressed enough form the fact that he needs to wake up every morning.
He sighed again, and bit his lower lip, he knew that he wasn't late for the train since there were more students in the platform, but still after seven years he doesn't know when the train arrives... idiot. The Ravenclaw crossed his arms and looked at his muggle watch, counting the seconds minutes, hoping the train will arrive any time soon.
Now that he's finally arrived at the place, things could not have been any slower. Slower because he was alone. Slower because he had absolutely nothing to do. Slower because he was feeling all confused with all his thoughts. Maybe it'd best not to deal with those stuff. But seeing Gwen moments before at the station, all those things that he's been trying hard not to think about suddenly started poofing up out of nowhere, apparating in his head. 'Great, more time to think about nonsense.'
He tugged on his sleeves as he observed the surrounding area in hopes of alleviating himself from going back to contemplating about how much mess he's put himself in. Newcoming first years were running around happily with their friends while others bid their goodbyes to their parents. There were also of course the returning students from last year, not a year older. A year closer to graduating, to leaving Hogwarts. And there were his fellow seventh year students, spending their one last school year at Hogwarts, being all sentimental and that stuff since after this they'd probably have their own jobs someplace, living their own dreams.
That was when he spotted another guy who looked pretty much of his age, standing just a few feet from him, who seemed to be sharing the same mood as he was. Perhaps not for the same reason, but it was enough to make him curious and approach him. After all, it was his last year. Last chance to meet people. Zeke walked a few steps towards the guy. "Train taking too long for you?"
Nodding "Yeah, like HUGE spider type thing. It's not so awesome when they appear out of no where in the darkness, clicking their pincers and looking at you like you're a light snack." Shuddering at the memory she shook her head "Really scary!" Grinning she nodded "I would like to be the tour guide, show you all the places at Hogwarts. You have a brother? Is he older or younger?"
Oh? He'd gotten in trouble? Oops, well at least he didn't have an evil auntie at Hogwarts who was there to spy on her and tattle to her mum! "What did you do that was so bad?" she asked snickering.

He hated being yelled at and it was worse when it was only him alone to take it - nevermind the fact that it'd been his idea to try playing football inside. He squirmed uncomfortably as he walked down the platform, trying to spot his brother. He didn't want to be left all alone on the train. Where was the sod anyway?
When he spotted the tall, blonde lump, he pushed past a couple of crying twins and punched him in the arm.
"Morning, Loser. Nice of you to stick around for the aftermath." As he stopped, he spotted the female by his side. Oh, of course, Lucas thought to himself, with a small smirk.
"Hello," he said, politely, with a nod at the girl. "M'name's Lucas."
James looked at Zoe and laughed, "What are you afraid of spiders?" Well..okay maybe a huge spider would make him all shuddery too if he saw it face to face. It still was just a lot of fun to make fun of other peoples faults and not his own. "Um...yeah. We're...kind of the same age." And where was that bugger anyway.
He was about to answer her question when he felt someone punch his arm. Turning around he saw Lucas and grinned. "Well it wasn't like I had much of an option. Dad practically dragged me out of the house. For a second I thought they'd condemned you to another year stuck at home." Never mind the fact that he had totally bolted from the room after mum caught him and was only stopped by dad's massive frowning form in the hall.
Looking at Zoe and back at Lucas he smiled and sat back down on his trunk on the cart. "Lucas this is Zoe, Zoe my twin Lucas." And yes we saw that smirk you weren't quick enough to hide as well. "We were talking about the castle. So far I've made out that Hufflepuffs are some strange beings that like to hug people and that she," he pointed to Zoe, "doesn't like them and there's some family angle there somewhere. OH and that there's giant spiders in the forest that will eat you so you should fatten up on the food the house elves make so they can have at least a decent meal and will only eat one of us." He said cheekily and began kicking the tire of the cart again.
Minerva shoved her sunglasses in her bag and was tossing things around in it as she walked. Where the heck did that go.. She was so frustrated over it. Stopping she looked around.. where had she wondered to? Was she loosing it today completely. Once she looked up she saw Ethan and his mother and walked over to them. "Sorry about that.. I was wait.." she looked around. Now where did fluffy go.. Yes, Minerva decided she was loosing it or she lost it, one or the other she was about to stomp her foot like a three year old if she lost one more thing.
"Has anyone seen.. Just as she was about to ask she saw the pink ball of fluff, "Oh never mind there she is." picking up Fluffy she pushed the puff onto her shoulder. "Now if only my Ipod was as easy to find and Laura.. I have seem to miss place her as well." She looked around for her friend seeing if she could find her anywhere. She had been watching her like a hawk for the last week or so since she found her in a cafe in Germany. Looking back Ethan's mom Minerva smiled, "Thank you again Mrs. McCarthy for letting me stay this summer, I had a great time, plus thank you for helping me get that job at the hospital it was such a great experience." She was very grateful for Ethan's parents the last two summers, it was really nice of them to put up with her so much.
Laura had no idea where Minerva had gone, until she saw her at the last minute. "I thought I'd lost you again." Laura sighed, now though she didn't really want to be here, why couldn't she have done other stuff, surely everyone could have fun at Hogwarts without her right, she wasn't the only one that knew how to have fun and the Professor hated her they just gave her detention after detention for nothing, well this term Laura wasn't getting a single detention, she had promised herself that.

"What?" she almost yelled that one. "Well, aren't the heads supposed to be from different houses?" she asked, in a rather calmer tone compared to the first. How can they take two from the same house? "Is Hufflepuff the star house or something?" she asked, definitely not helping.
Japanese huh. "And you're not Japanese..." she trailed. "Well people do try and keep different names" she said, thoughtfully enough. "My name means unfading..or like, eternal" she said. Earlier she didn't like it much but later she got found of it. Better than Zyanya. She stiffed a grin. "But my twin here also reminds me that it means bitter" she said, making a face at Zyanya. Maybe mum overlooked that meaning. "Ofcourse, that sums up, a bitter unfading girl here to irritate you eternally" she said, with a sheepish grin. Not to forget the irritating.

Promise!" he said, nodding enthusiastically at her, "We'd... probably go mad if we studied too much." Plus he'd be really unhappy if he didn't get to see her.
Captaining. Did he mention how PROUD he was that his girlfriend was the new Quidditch Captain? Because he was! VERY proud! Nodnod. "Yeah? Well... that's not a bad thing," he said, grinning, "And the badge looks good on you, you know." Just saying. ... "Really? I hope... no one trips over the ladder!" Or go up on it. It would probably be a really awkward encounter if someone went up on it and it turned out that her Gran was cleaning the room. "Yeah, you did!" HE HAD WON! ... Nearly. "I'm... glad we sorted that out." GRIN GRIN GRIN.
Elephants and tea and family... nodnod. "But it's awesome because you got an elephant wave!" The girl had probably made a mistake telling Alec this because he was not going to let it go. Never. "There wasn't nearly enough of you in mine, either," As for his... "Mine was great! Erm... I think Dad was really happy to meet you." Also, that shirt playing thing she was doing? It was kind of making his heart beat uncontrollably fast...
"I don't think so either." Grin. They simply liked doing those things far too much, yeah? Besides, trips to the kitchen meant ice cream sundaes and cookies and the house elves. ^___^ All good things as far as Ella was concerned. As for going mad, Ella giggled. "Yeah, we don't need to be any crazier than we already are." And she nudged the boy before beaming at him.
It was a relief to hear Alec thought her Ellasaurus moments weren't so bad. It meant she could be a completely stressed out and ridiculous dino!person without him getting upset with her. Blush. "It does?" Ella looked down and touched the badge, a small smile playing on her lips. "Thanks, Alec." He was really nice. Really really nice. Didn't he know? Meep. "It'd probably be Gran too, with Oakey's luck. I'll make sure I owl Dad and have him take care of it." That was a definite plan. And the boy looked far too excited about having somehow made her admit he was lucky. POKE.POKE.POKE. "Don't seem so happy about it." GRIN.
The way Alec was so happy about the elephant waves made Ella smile really big at him. It was nice, that he was excited for her. "I did! It was really brilliant!" BOUNCE. Yup, something she wouldn't soon forget. "Well...you'll get lots of time with me at school then, okay? I mean...as much as we can." And being in the same house helped. Ella paused momentarily and looked up at Alec, her cheeks turning slightly pink. "Yeah? Erm...I'm glad he did. I think my Dad liked you as well. Lots, actually." And the heart racing thing, Ella could tell and she smiled.
Oh and there was Minnie! WAVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! It was nice to see her too!
She saw Zyanya come up and talk to Daichi. When she asked him how to become a prefect, she stiffed a giggle. Always to be at the top. "Oh come on Zyan, one does not just ask others how to become a prefect!" she said, winking. "And to think of it, hasn't dad said that you can't be one until fifth year?" she mused. What was with the asking then? "Oh, I bet you'll be one anyway" she said, giving her an odd look. With all the studying and responsible thingy.
She stared at her twin in disbelief. "You actually talked?" she mouthed to her sister and grinned. But when she heard the accusation to Natasha, she glared. "Whaaa?" she protested. "I didn't even say anything bad about the houses! I just said you could be at any" she justified. "Only that Slytherin is super cool" Yeah and not to mention I'll be in it.
"Yeah, you can keep your wishes to yourself. And what's your problem if I talk? That's what you do all the time. Jealous that I've come out of my shell? And mind you, I'll be a prefect one day." Zyanya said glaring at her sister. Amara can make fun as much as she wanted but Zyanya would prove it to her sister. She pushed Amara's trolley towards her which she had carried along with her own.

She had been listening seriously to all that the prefect said, clinging to each of his words. So this is what she had to do. "Thanks." She said. "I was afraid that you would not like first years pestering them you with questions. But you are very nice and friendly. Maybe that's why became a prefect." She smiled up at him. He was not frightening at all unlike Amara had said. Amara had told her that the seniors might bully them. Her mom had assured her that no such thing would happen but Amara had her own way of scaring Zyanya off. And the pity was that despite her knowledge of her sister, she always got scared from her sister's stories.

Amara threw her hands up. "Oh sorry Madam Soon-to-be-the-leader-of-the-world-one-day!" she said, looking quiet serious. "Come of it, I was just being surprised. Not to mention the fact that you never talked much with anyone" Other than Caesar that was. "And you really thought I would be jealous of you?" she asked, looking incredulous. "What are sisters for? Being jealous?" she asked.
Oh no, you've done it. The feeling thing. She quickly steped back from her twin, for who knows what might happen, just in case.
"And to you too, Natasha" she said, smiling. "I'm Amara" She looked at her as she put her question. Slytherin. Why Slytherin? "Well.. My father was in Slytherin and he's told me how cool the house is" she said, grinning. "And Amara sound synonymous to cool, doesn't it?" Well, ofcourse it was. "But seriously, I think that house would fit me best"
"Any house is good" she said, "Ravenclaw is for the brainy ones, Gryffindor is for the courageous ones, though they can be foolishly brave sometimes" she said, smirking. "Slytherin is for the ambitious ones and the rest go to Hufflepuff" she said, that's what her mother had explained to her. "So where do you think you'll fit?" she asked, casually.
Natasha thought about the houses for a minute. So thats how they were grouped....”I still do not know.... I like figuring things out in my head....so that might lead to Ravenclaw....But I have always thought of myself as brave enough....” She said.

“Yes, I am a first year. Name's Natasha.” She said smiling back. “I am sure all of the houses are perfect for those that are in them. While shopping, I heard many students chatting about houses and most seem to have a strong opinion of which house they would be in – so I was just wondering what makes any house more desirable than another.” She explained politely.

Green eyes wandered to the faces in the crowd, looking for the one Minerva mentioned. "I'm sure she's around here somewhere.. where's the last you saw her?" Laura was certainly an odd character, but she was Min's friend so he was concerned.. he'd look out for her too. He grinned at her kiss on the cheek, hugging her back at chuckling at her words. "That's what I figured.. I picked it up as soon as I saw it. Good thing I went back for that second cup of espresso before we left," he said with a wink. "It's just too bad it won't work where we're going.." He did get attached to that thing over the summer. He looked at her curiously as she suddenly backed away, then realizing and giving his mum a sheepish grin before averting his eyes. He knew it probably wasn't a big deal, but was slightly uncomfortable for some reason all the same.
Meloria watched the two teenagers interact, hanging back just a bit. They really were adorable.. she thought Minerva suited Ethan quite well. She chuckled a bit as they seemed a little awkward to show even the slightest affection in front of her, though she was sure she knew what it was about. "No need to apologize dear," she said with a smile. She nodded a little and smiled a bit broader. "Oh, yes.. she was quite impressed with your eagerness to learn as well as your kindness with the patients." The blonde woman nodded again. "I'll be sure to let her know.. and let you know if the position would be available again. And yes, I would hope to see you both during Christmas break again." Her absolute favorite time of the year.. what would it be without her only child? Pulling out her camera, she gave Ethan a grin. "Alright, you two.. stand closer together.. I want to get a picture before I go."

Shaking her head Bay went back to pushing her trolley. The train was here but she wasn't quite sure how to get her things on board. People were everywhere and pushing every which way. The 11 year old got turned around and then shoved. Stomping her foot she shoved the person who had shoved her and then stopped her trolley.
How rude!
Feeling dejected and totally alone Bay sat down hard on the end of her trolley and put her head in her hands. So far her day sucked....
Minerva watched Elise wonder off and Fluffy bounced on her shoulder. "Fine, but if you get lost.." She put the puff down and let her scamper after Elise. "Yes, these two will need time together." She smiled watching them go off playing, glad that the little fluff ball warmed up to Elise during her stay at Ethan's.
Looking around she sighed, "Honestly I don't remember, I got in my bag to make sure I had everything and that's when I realized my IPod was missing and I guess my focus got distracted." She'll turn up, I'm sure of it, Minerva thought and shrugged it off for a bit. Speaking of the IPod she smiled at it and put it back in her bag. "Yes I am glad you went back and found it." She frowned at the thought of it not working, "I know, I have always hated that, but it's okay. I still just like to have it and my phone close by. I would hate to lose them." Giving a sheepish look to Mrs. McCarthy she wasn't exactly sure how they felt about her muggle side yet, that wasn't really ever a conversation that had come up.
Always seconding guess her abilities, and probably the reason why she hadn't gotten all O's on her exams Minerva's smile grew as Ethan's mom talked about how her friend felt about her performance this summer. "That's great she really thought that. I learned so much this summer, I really think it is what I want to do." Giving Ethan's mom a quick hug, "Thank you again, for everything." She was truly grateful at how welcoming his parents had been to her and how much they helped her find her possible future career. "Oh yes, if a position was there I would love to have it again, that's if you can deal with me for another summer." she gave a grin half joking, but half not, they might get annoyed with her being around all the time. Oh future planning.. Christmas already..Minerva smiled, she use to worry about planning even a few weeks ahead, but after the summer some things had changed, "Yes, as long as Ethan wants me around Christmas break sounds great. It helps my grandparents as well, then they don't have to pay for a plane ticket for me." As much as she would love to see them on Christmas she had never spent one with them, because of the money. Glancing at Ethan she wondered how he felt about a picture, but she got closer to him and smiled.
That's when she noticed behind Ethan's mom a small girl. She seemed to be alone and not doing to well. Looking around she didn't see any possible adult with her. Frowning Minerva figured she was most likely a first year, and by the look wasn't having such a good day. "Umm Ethan, I'll be right back." She walked over towards the girl carefully not wanting her to be scared or anything. "Hello" She smiled nicely and talked softly. "Are you here alone?" Minerva bent down to be at the girls level, still smiling, "I'm Minerva.. What's your name?"

Minerva looked up and sighed with relief, "Where did you go? I thought I lost you..I was not facing your mom if I had to write to her to tell her I had lost you." Eyeing Laura, she was worried about her friend. She wasn't herself and Minerva wanted to figure out why. "Hey you okay?" Giving her a quick reassuring hug, "Thinks will get back to normal soon.. Once we are back at school. You'll see, and I'm in the same dorm if you need me, don't think your bothering me at all, got it?" She wasn't letting Laura feel sad and not know about it again this term. She wasn't sure how she had gotten it past her last term, well she did it was a bit of a bad term, but Minerva was sure it was going to be better this term and she would have a better focus on things around her.
Rubbing at a sore spot on her ankle where the dope had stepped on her Bay tried to resist the urge to cry. She hated crying. She always looked like a baby when she cried and she REFUSED to look like a baby on her first day. No sir! Not happening!
A polite hello had the brunette looking up into the face of a much older girl. Is she talking to me? Bay looked behind her to make sure that there was no one there and when she was sure there wasn't Bay focused back in on the girl talking to her. Taking a deep breath the 11 year old straightened up and managed a weak smile.
"I'm Bay, nice to meet you Minerva." The older girl was on her level now so Bay didn't have to strain her neck looking up. Her first question still stood unanswered. Might as well get used to people asking. "I'm always alone." She muttered.

Laura looked at Minerva. "Well I only went to get us a hot chocolate each." Laura handed Minerva one of the cup she had just brought. "I thought it would be a nice treat." Yeah that and Laura was a bit scared. "My Mother would have understood, I just go for walks and come back when I'm ready." Laura giggled, she had done that since she was 10. "I'm fine." Laura lied, she so wasn't looking forwards to speaking to her sister, things had happened between then and Laura hadn't spoken to her for ages, which was making her sad.
Laura hugged Minerva back. "I don't like bothering you if I can help it." Laura said truthfully she liked dealing with things in her own way when she was ready but well she was going to try and have a good term this summer, "I hope your right and we have a great term this summer." Laura smiled at Minerva.

She wants to what? Ethan gave his mother an exasperated look as she pulled out her camera. Wasn't it enough that she had to escort him to the train station.. now she had to take a bunch of pictures? Still, he wouldn't mind a pic of him and Min, he supposed, so he put his arm around her as she stood by him and he smiled as his mother snapped a picture, the flash temporarily blinding him.
Meloria could tell that Ethan was starting to lose his patience, but she didn't really care. She wanted a picture, she wanted to tell him goodbye, and she was going to get what she wanted. "Thank you dears," she said as she tucked her camera away. She reached over to give her son a hug, lingering for a moment, then pulling away to look at him. "Good luck with seventh year.. I'm really proud of you," she said, somewhat quietly as she beamed at him. Then she turned to Minerva.. who had walked away. "Goodbye Minerva," she called out brightly as she walked past. The she turned back to give one last wave to Ethan before heading home.
Ethan loosely hugged his mother back, giving her a half-smile at her words. "Bye, Mum.." he said as she left, lifting a few fingers in a casual sort of wave when she glanced back. Now, where did Minerva go? He noticed her leave right after the picture was taken and his green eyes searched the immediate vicinity, landing on her and another familiar-looking girl not far away.
He walked over to the two, stopping just in front of the younger girl, a hint of concern in his eyes. The new first year seemed to be out of sorts.. again. "Hey, there, Bay," Ethan gave the girl a bit of a grin. "I see you met my girlfriend, Minerva." He glanced at the blonde. Did she already know her or was she just being her kind-hearted self just now? His eyes turned back to Bay for a moment as he thought. He already knew from their last meeting that parents wouldn't be bringing her today.. did her escort dude ditch her again? Giving her a friendly smile, he said, "Why don't you let us help you get onto the train? We've done this a few times.." Well, technically only the second time to ride the train to Hogwarts for Ethan.. but he knew what he was doing.
He caught a glimpse of Laura as she handed Minerva a hot chocolate, which made him wish the train served espressos. Maybe he'd get lucky this year..? But he doubted it.. maybe he could convince one of the Hogwarts elves to get him one during the feast. Anyway.. Nice to know Laura wasn't lost again and Min wouldn't need to be worried. "Hi, Laura.." he said, being friendly and trying not to listen in on their conversation as he tried to catch a glimpse of Elise. Where did that cat go..?

Question. Weren't Hufflepuffs supposed to be...well, famous is not the word...but didn't they usually have a preference for fair play? If so, then that was probably ONE thing she could share with them. Of course, fair play depended on other things as well. All's fair in love and war, right? Sort of. She didn't agree much with that saying, though.
So, remember how she was lost in his eyes? Well, that made it easier for her to notice where his eyes had actually paused. But it was entirely normal for them to stop at her lips while she was talking, so it didn't really matter. Just as it was totally normal as well for her eyes to move to his lips when he replied. Quickly, her eyes turned to his after that, and she smiled.
Lottie...didn't know how to describe this, really. She was smiling a lot in his presence, and seemed to enjoy his smiles as well.
Oh? Well, that was something she paid little attention to, honestly. So, she shrugged, "Trees and flowers, not the God of dreams," she replied, smirking a little. Hmmm? Lottie tilted her head to one side as she looked at him. Benjy? She was hoping it was a person, and not some pet that may end up eating Mags. "I'm afraid I don't know who Benjy is...," which was her way of asking who Benjy was. At this point, it should be a person. And no, no Houses yet. He'll find out sooner than later, surely.
The Forbidden Forest again? Heh. Oh, the Groundskeeper WILL kill her. She didn't actually answer Garrick, she simply smirked. "Once I get my butterbeer." GRANTED, he'd already said he will. So, never mind. She'll probably figure out a proper excuse for the Groundskeeper while she's on the train with Lex. She couldn't use Mags as an excuse this time. And MILTON wasn't at Hogwarts anymore. Seriously, the one time you need him, and he's not there.
But yes, Garrick, we'll go to the forest with you. Except...she looked at him curiously, "You don't climb trees, do you?" Very important question.
Sit with him? He told her to stick with him, right? And she supposed she could do so, but..., "I told Lex I'll sit with her...," her eyes on him, "...but I can sit with you as well." It was a LONG ride to Hogwarts, after all. She'd suggest them sitting together, but that wasn't really up to her, it was more up to Lex.
Her smile lit up her face as far as Garrick was concerned. Her blue blue eyes glowed and the smile was AHMAZING. He could just sit and creeper stare at her all day...
But he wouldn't because that was well... creepy.
"Benjy is my cousin. He's a fourth year also. Not as cool as me, but he'll do." This made Garrick smirk to himself at that comment. His cousin would not be pleased if he heard that. So, he would proabably say just that in his presence soon. HEHE. "And trees and flowers are cool, too." Especially since SHE was named after them. DUH.
He gave a nod and offered her a BIG smile. "When is the first Hogsmeade weekend?" And could they hold hands there, too? He gave her hand a small squeeze and swung them back and forth playfully. And... were people SEEING this? Garrick was pretty stoked about it.
"I have climbed a few , yeah." SMIRK.
Oh... he was stealing her away from her friend, wasn't he? Not like STEALING her forever, but... oh hell. "I don't want to intrude on your time with your friend..." But he kind of wanted to sit with her and maybe hold her hand sitting there, too. Hehe.
"I might need to find Benjy sometime, anyway." Although they could ALL sit together.

Minerva saw Ethan's mom walking away and felt bad.. Why didn't she stay a little longer to say goodbye, that was rude. Turning her attention back to the small girl, "Hello, Bay.. You actually can call me Min or Minnie, that's what everyone else usually does." At that moment Ethan walked over and she smiled at him, but gave him a concerned look and glanced at the young girl, as in I'm kind of worried about this one. Then a bit of a shock came over her, he knew Bay. "Well yes, actually I had just happened to see her over here and wanted to make sure she was alright. " Looking back to Bay she frowned at the thought of her being alone, Minerva knew that feeling and she didn't want other to feel it. Before she could speak up, Ethan was already thinking on the same lines.
Giving a smile Minerva looked at her things, "I agree with Ethan, why don't you hang with us until the train gets here. Then I usually sit with Ethan and a few other friends, but Ethan here has some other things he is going to have to do this train ride, so I might need another friend. Would you like to stick with me for the trip?" She was always happy to help out, especially since she remembered how scared she was that first train ride. After her mother left, she had no one and knew no one.

Shaking her head she did not like hearing those words, "Laura, you are my friend, so don't you ever say your bothering me. My friends do not bother me. I love my friends coming to me when they need something, you should know that by now." The first time she had ever really spoke to Laura she was trying to help her with her Professor Shirmer making her go to Hadley problem. So it was a problem that started their friendship.
Alec grinned sheepishly at the girl and nodded in agreement. It was very them to be going down to the kitchens just for some extra ice cream. Speaking of... "Do you think they'd still have the ice cream machine there?" He liked that ice cream machine! Although, he probably wasn't going to accept ice cream from Oakey again. Maybe. ... Crazy? "Yeah! So... regular ice cream breaks?" he asked, grinning at her.
The way Ells was looking down at her badge and smiling only made Alec grin some more. She probably didn't know it but sometimes, the girl did these things that just made him want to grin from ear to ear and squash his puppy!toy. "Yeah, it does! And... you'll have three years to get used to it," GRIN. "Anytime!" ... Was she talking about Oakey walking in on her Gran cleaning her room? Maybe. "That sounds like a great idea," Nodnod. "And... hopefully no one sneaks into your room while you're away." Because that probably wouldn't be great. "How can I not? We just agreed on this!" Also, was she starting a poke war?
Elephant waves! And Ellaphant! How awesome was all of this? "Yeah? It sounds like you had a lot of fun!" Which, of course, was brilliant news! "Do you think you'll go back there again next year?" The job really suited her, actually. You know, if jobs could suit people. ... Moving on... "I really like the sound of that," The spending a lot of time together thing. It sounded really nice. "Yeah! ... I... did he? That's good because... erm... I wasn't trying to impress him at all." Nope.
... Who was she waving to? Not him, obviously, since he was standing right there but she was waving to someone... near... OH MINNIE HEY! Wave, wave, wave!
He caught a glimpse of Laura as she handed Minerva a hot chocolate, which made him wish the train served espressos. Maybe he'd get lucky this year..? Laura suddenly saw Ethan. "Here Ethan." Laura handed him an espresso. "I didn't know what you like so I got you this." Laura hoped that Ethan wouldn't mind what she had bought him. "I hope you'll enjoy it." Laura didn't know what else to say so looked back at Minerva.

Laura had no idea what to say to the next thing but decided to try her best. "I am fine, I just needed some time to myself, so I went to a friends house, okay so I didn't tell anyone I was going but I was at a friends house." Laura wondered what Minerva would say.
"But sometimes you might not want me to bother you especially when your with Ethan." Laura giggled, yeah she knew that Minerva was in love with Ethan. "Anyway i'll remember that and if I feel like I did at the end of the term, I promise to come and talk to you." Laura said truthfully. "Is that a deal?" Laura hoped it was.
He walked over to the two, stopping just in front of the younger girl, a hint of concern in his eyes. The new first year seemed to be out of sorts.. again. After her mother left, she had no one and knew no one.
Nodding she marveled at being able to use the girls nickname. Her own name was too short already to even be considered for a nickname but it was fun to hear others' nicknames. A familiar face appeared over Minnie's shoulder and the 11 year old gave a small smile and a friendly wave. Wait....girlfriend?
Bay looked between the two and then shrugged. Boys were fun to hang with and talk to but she couldn't imagine dating one! Gross! She refrained from saying so though since these two were willing to help her out. Again. Hopefully she would have a firmer grasp on things once they actually got to the school. Reading that book had really helped her out.
Minnie offered to allow Bay to tag along for the journey which was absolute music to her ears. There were so many people here and the thought of wandering the train during the whole ride trying to find a place was terrifying. Nodding her brunette head she smiled at Minnie. "I'd like that. Thank you."

So... regular ice cream breaks?" he asked, grinning at her.
Ella tilted her head and smiled thoughtfully at the boy. Hmmm. "I don't see why they wouldn't. I mean, people really seemed to like it." Ahem. Especially certain hair ruffling boyfriends. Grin. "Yeah, regular ice cream breaks sound perfect." Although any situation involving Alec sounded pretty perfect to Ells.
The blonde could feel Alec's eyes on her as she looked down at her badge and her cheeks grew a bit hot. It always made her heart race when he watched her and she shuffled a little, smiling sheepishly back at him. "I... guess you're right." Nodnod. "I just want to make Nessie proud, y'know? Those are some big shoes to fill. Keefer too." And Max and Sir Treyen and Alec. No pressure or anything. ...Sneak into her room? Blink. "I...that wouldn't be good. I hope Aegis doesn't get any ideas." Or worse, convince Caleb to jump from the ladder like he had the tire swing. Ella giggled at his excitement and shook her head at him. "I still think I'm lucky too, though." Just saying.
"I did." Really. As for her going back next summer, she smiled a little and shrugged. "I don't know? I hope so. I really liked working there." And if they needed her then she'd be happy to go back. "I like the sound of it too." How could she not? She sort of loved the boy a whole lot, y'know. "He did." Grin. "Oh really? Well...you must have done something right because he was impressed."
And then Alec was waving to Minnie too and Ella just took a moment to watch him and smile. He was cute, Alec was.

"Please, stop," Blake sighed, trying to move his head away from his mother's reach. She had been fussing over him non-stop since he had woken up and , for some strange reason, she kept stroking his hair incessantly. Mothers sure are strange.
It had taken a bit of coaxing, but his father somehow managed to drag her away after a series of goodbyes and now he was wandering along the side of the train trying to locate somewhere to sit. Blake made another slight frowning face as he passed by cart after cart. This would probably be a lot easier if he knew someone..

Jake Keller was pacing. He'd already been up and down the platform once, and he was just about ready to start on another lap. He knew he should probably just get on the train... but he knew Anya should be here soon, and he wanted to see her as soon as possible. And for some reason he thought that'd be easier on the platform... surrounded by a crowd of people.
Turning on his heel, Jake started his third walk down the side of the train, straightening his badge distractedly while thinking and watching out of small children. Would cell phones work here? Or would that magical barrier between platforms 9 and 10 mess up the whole muggle technology thing?

Anya looked up and down the platform. You'd think after years of doing this, she'd just set up a place to meet whoever she was meeting. But. Somehow it always slipped her mind.
But... live and learn and try again next year, right?
She maneuvered her cart through the crowd. It sucked that she had to pack for basically the entire year. This meant her trunk was full and heavy. Plus she had CiCi's cage and her broom. Although, she really had no idea why she brought her broom. She didn't every ride it.
She grinned happily spotting her favorite Prefect. She left her cart where it was and ran the rest of the way into Jake's arms. There. Now she was ready to get on the train. She found her most important piece of luggage boyfriend.

Isabella walked on to the platform and heard the two kids in front of her talking about spiders. She shedder and hoped that she had heard wrong. Spiders were ok but not where she couldnt see them. They were hair an creepy. Looking around at all the others, Isabella was alot of people saying their good byes. 'glad my parents said goodbye at the home.' She thought.
Looking over as a smaller girl appeared and looked as if she were watching James and herself, Zoe gave her a small smile and a little wave hoping to catch her attention and maybe have her come over. "Want to join us?" she asked kindly. HEY, she could be nice! when she wanted to be

Blowing a raspberry at James, Zoe shrugged "Hey cute little spiders are okay. Big nasty hairy spiders with large pincers would scare anybody." Okay except mr. macho. Her eyes widened when he said that he and his brother were the same age. It was that exact moment another boy walked up. Merlin how was she supposed to tell the two apart?
"Hi." she said shyly. She'd not known too many sets of twins and here she was with James and Lucas now. Giggling at his rendition of how she'd described Hogwarts. Well the spiders were scary, and the hufflepuffs were kind of weird, about the hugging thing, so James had it that about right. But fattening themselves up so only one of them could be eaten made her snort and shake her head. Okay that would be a guy yep. "And I kind of offered to show you both around." she said a shy smile appearing.
This was actually very interesting. A cousin? Who also attends Hogwarts? She wondered what it would be like to have a relative attend Hogwarts at the same time. GRANTED, her brother should be coming next year, so...she could find out for herself soon. Garrick's words, however, made her smirk, "Perhaps I should meet him and see that for myself," she couldn't picture someone cooler than Garrick, though, so he was probably right. Still.
LOLNO. Lottie literally rolled her eyes a liiiiiittle bit, while still smiling, and shook her head, "Flowers aren't cool. You're just saying that because of my name." Except...after having said that...her mind went to HER favorite tree on the grounds and had to speak again, "Except cherry blossoms, those can be cool, they last so little...," her smile faded, it was a very sad thought, but maybe that's why they were so precious to her, because they didn't last long.
Her smile was back when she noticed his. Hogsmeade? "Is it in October or November?" she said, tilting her head to one side. She was never really looking forward to Hogsmeade, she only went there when she was informed they were free to go. And he was swinging their hands, she was entirely letting him do that, she liked it.
SJHFGBDSYNCJSKBDHJFJHSD. TREES! "Excellent!"BEAM. Without realizing it, though, her other hand was placed on his forearm. Yeah, see, she pretty much wasn't let him go, she needed someone to help her climb the big trees now that Spike was gone.
Her time with Lex? She laughed softly, "She gets distracted very easily, it wouldn't be a problem," plus, she was positive Lex was going to attempt being in a lot of compartments at once. AND, if she decided to ask Aidan to join THEM...then Lottie would definitely be the one spending lots of time in other compartments too. Truth be told, she was currently dreading this, she hadn't realized Aidan could join them too. "Definitely not a problem." Lottie was quick to add that.
Then she nodded, "Of course. You should find him." Did that mean he was going to find Benjy NOW? Her hold on his hand loosened a bit.

Garrick chuckled and shook his head. "You will meet him soon enough." He was kind of amazed that he hadn't shown up here yet... He had a knack for interrupting Garrick when he was trying to enjoy a moment.
Eye rolling, eh. And shaking of the head? Hmmm. Tilting his head slightly Garrick said, "Man eating plants... venus fly traps... Those are awesome plants. And the whomping willow is pretty cool, too." Seee there were cool plants. Flowers and trees could be pretty awesome too. THEY WERE INDEED.
But why was she not smiling? Right as he was going to ask if she was okay whatever it was seemed to have passed.
"Maybe in October. I will see what I can do about making this happen sooner, though. The butterbeer... not the weekend." He could make things happen... but even HE couldn't make time go faster. Or get the weekend moved up. Heh.
Feeling her other hand on his forearm he couldn't help but move a little closer. Just a step. Lotus Wisteria was like... gravity. Garrick liked it.
UH NO. Tightening his grip on her hand in response to her loosening he shook his head. "No. He will find us. Or I will look for him on the train otherwise. I am not going anywhere right now." Nope. He was sticking with Lottie. For sure.
And his eyes were peeled away (rather reluctantly) as he heard a child's plea to be left alone by his parent. Heh. He had convinced his mum and dad to get the goodbyes out by the barrier. "Poor kid..." he mumbled more to himself than to anyone else.
