Claudine hails from a large family and shares the members' views on blood status. The reason for this is because of how she was raised and what was taught to her. Despite this, she would rarely point out that one of the reasons she was distant from others was because of their said blood status. Regardless of the status, Claudine prefers to be in her own company, purposely engaging in conversation only when necessary. She can usually be found sketching, a talent she discovered at the age of eight. Though she isn't as good at it as she wants to be, Claudine works hard to better herself.
It was during her fifth year that Claudine started to be more friendly and understanding with others. This came about due to the struggles faced at Hogwarts in her fourth year when Rosier forcibly took over as Headmaster, and rules along with his Neo Alliance minions. Being locked up in The Room with Muggleborns and others who rebelled truly made her grow in this way.
During her sixth year, mainly due to Professor Schmoe's influence, Claudine began to think twice before resorting to judging anyone. It was his lesson on Assumptions that helped her change this aspect of her personality.

Cecelia was born on the 21st of July in 2088 to Alec and Ella Summers, Hogwarts sweethearts and former Hufflepuffs who fell in love during their time at the wizarding school. From the time she could crawl, the blonde was exploring her enviornment with wide-eyed wonder and little to no fear. If there was any indication this little lady was going to be a handful, this was the early indicator. She would dress up the family dogs and play zoo where she was the creature and they were the visitors, or ride her tiny enchanted broom around the house, knocking into furniture and filling the house with her girlish giggles, a sound that both delighted and warned of possible destruction. What Cecelia liked most, though, was getting to spend quality time with her dad. The quidditch star might have many fans, but none of them were as dedicated and enthusiastic as Cece. There is nothing she'd like more than to follow in her dad's footsteps. Her mum is pretty cool too, working with dragons and all! Cecelia liked to sit by her mum and ask questions about the baby dragons her mum got to work with, offering up possible names for them and doodling pictures to go along with them. She was more of a unicorn fan herself, but Cece decided that dragons and her mum belonged together and that they were pretty awesome. Fire and flying? How could they not be?
On the 3rd of January 2091, Cecelia learned to share the attention of her parents with Samuel, the little brother she never knew she wanted. He was cute right from the start, but she didn't see his potential until he was old enough to walk. From that moment on, Sammy became her responsibility and her partner in crime, though he might not have known it. Cecelia found that she really liked being a big sister and her duties included teaching him the fine art of fort building in their living room, making the ultimate ice cream sundae, and acting out their favorite stories complete with costumes and everything. It was really nice to have someone to have adventures with, and over time Cecelia decided she'd do anything to protect Sammy and keep him happy because that was her job.

SPOILER!!: Hogwarts Years
First Year: Became a GRYFFINDOR with Phoebe, but spent the entire year at Beauxbatons because of an infestation of what would LATER be revealed were boggarts | Got in BIG trouble after a CoMC class where the headmistress's roses got torched on ACCIDENT and after trying to help put the sparks in her pet gargoyle's mouth out, Cece accidentally drenched the WOMAN instead of the fire leading to a trip to the inquisitorial room where she was pretty sure she was going to get kicked out of school | Needless to say, Headmistress Giselle Desmarais had a grudge against the Hogwartians from the beginning and Cece and some others were accused of destroying ball decorations, among other things, but Mathys de Nostredame saved the day, helping to prove that a DRAGON (and some particularly rude Beauxbatons students) were ACTUALLY to blame | Headmistress Meany changed her tune after that. It was also revealed that the students would be returning to Hogwarts the following term, something Cecelia was over the MOON about. Second Year: Finally at Hogwarts, Cecelia is excited and eager to explore the castle where her parents grew up, met, and fell in love. She's also trying REALLY hard to be on her best behavior so Headmaster Trent doesn't think she's as awful as Desmarais did | Catherine and Noah start Hogwarts! Noah joins Cece in Gryffindor while Cat turns out to be a Ravenclaw. Catherine and Cece don't spend as much time together as they used to, though, causing a bit of a rift | Somehow the founders of Hogwarts were walking free and causing chaos throughtout the castle and the portraits were switching places with the students | Godric Gryffindor just out and about trying to take back the castle from Headmaster Trent with the help of his sword, hurting Professor De Nostredame in the process (which was a bummer since Cecelia was a big fan of his). Salazar Slytherin, meanwhile, wants to purge Slytherin house so that only purebloods remain | With help from the kids, the staff members locate the missing portraits of the founders and they're sent back to their portraits | Third Year: Okay but the return of William Walter Williamson, her mum's FAVORITE professor, was pretty big news to learn at the opening feast | Cecelia was starting to feel distant from her friends, many of whom were now interested in kissing and boys and dating, things that didn't yet interest her. It made her feel alone and she fought with the urge to just get her first kiss over with so she wouldn't be left out or left behind | Strange weather, ghostly strangers from long ago, and magic going haywire throughout the school keep everyone on edge | Students are stuck at Hogwarts for the holidays when a huge flash of light occurs, thunder following it, and then everything beyond the Hogwarts gates vanishes before the kid's eyes. They are stuck and the storm is coming | No communication to anyone outside of Hogwarts is extremely hard on Cecelia, as is the memory loss and the way herself and her friends are going all translucent | Fortunately the use of 'Tempore tempestatis fixus' helped to rid the school of the storm and all of the negative impacts it had, though Cece would find out that some of the emotional toll was harder to get rid of | Fourth Year: Because of everything that had happened with the storm, Cecelia found out that Tavie would not be returning to Hogwarts, which was a huge blow to the Stark School kids, Tavie feeling very much like the heart of their group | Cecelia continued to feel distant from her friends, particularly Feebs, who had gotten close to their roommate Meeks and was working on a whole kissing list endeavor that Cece wasn't sure she approved of | Sammy started at Hogwarts, being sorted into Ravenclaw House. She was relieved to know he'd be in the company of Catherine and Cooper, who had convinced his parents to let him come to Hogwarts, too! | Kale offered to be Cecelia's first kiss one October day while they were making flower crowns by the lake. She felt very much like sunshine and from that day forward, the kissing Kale Trent thing became something she very much wanted to continue doing, a problem since Phoebe had decided she liked him and Meeks was also kissing him | Catherine and Cecelia continued to drift apart, Catherine making it very clear that they had different priorities and that she didn't have time for Cece's dramatics | Cece and Phoebe decide that they want to stand out a bit more from their Stark School friends and decide that it's okay to do so, really working to lift each other up and encourage each other | Cece, Emm, Kizzy, and Ashley are attacked by some unseen force on their way out of class one day and are thrown about like rag dolls, pretty much | YETI FIELD TRIP EXCITEMENT! | Students being possessed and talking about how they want their treasure back, whatever that means | Headmaster Trent is suddenly the absolute worst, showing ZEO concern for the wellbeing of his students and throwing Cece for a LOOP. She's more concerned with what it's doing to Kale, though, because the poor kid seems absolutely devastated over his dad becoming the literal WORST human | Feebs, Meeks, and Cece decide that they're not letting any boys come between them and that they need to be better at communicating these things | Cecelia ends the term with thoughts of a big fifteenth birthday party and hopes of a good summer |

Cecelia is adventurous, eager to try new things, open about what she thinks and wants. She is a girl who, for better or for worse, wears her heart on her sleeve for the whole world to see. She is incredibly proud and protective of her family and friends, hating when she's at odds with them, though she can be a bit stubborn when it comes to admitting she's in the wrong. She thrives when it comes to physical activities and would rather be out and about than sitting around doing homework or studying, which sometimes makes her fall behind on her school work. She can be impatient, impulsive, and a little too quick to react.

✪ BEFORE HOGWARTS ✪
Before Hogwarts, Charlie attended muggle primary and elementary school. He was a happy and well-adjusted kid, but he always wished for more excitement than what had become his daily life. His parents broke the whole 'magical kid' news to him when the delivery owl flew through the window and delivered his Hogwarts letter. Charlie thought it was a joke at first and nearly threw away his acceptance letter. He's pretty excited (okay, seriously stoked) to get to magical school.
For some reason that Charlie still hasn't figured out, his parents waited until the Hogwarts letter arrived to even tell him a magical world existed. So expect him to be surprised at random things, like kids his age being excited about brooms. He's only ever had to do chores with them! This kind of annoys him a little, but he's honestly too excited about his new magical school to worry about it too much.

Charlie is always into something. Sitting down to read? Not likely. Canon-balling into the lake? You bet. He thinks Hogwarts will be all fun and no work, and he'll probably be surprised to find that there are actual classes with actual homework and exams just waiting for him. He knows almost nothing about the magical world other than what he's read in a few books over the summer. So, yes, he DID sit down to read a few books…but only because he doesn't feel like getting eaten by some fire-breathing dragon or something.

The Schmore You Know
Finneas is smart. A genius, if you will. His brain is the size of mars, probably. He truly enjoys learning and is able to memorize facts far faster than the average schmoe Joe. He is a master of magic, can summon a patronus in mere seconds. He's driven by the desire to learn and is quite logical in his approach to life's biggest curveballs. He may not be your brawny, first choice of a protector during a battle, but he'd surely protect you with his skilled wand-work and systematic approach to problem solving. What he has in mars-sized-brain and magical ability, however, he unfortunately lacks in social awareness. Finneas is a nervous man. He's an anxious blinker and struggles to hold eye contact for prolonged periods of time. His toes are in a perpetually stubbed state, as he's not very good on his feet. He enjoys puns and intelligent humor. He's not an athletic man, nor does he enjoy/bother keeping up with wizard-pop-culture. But he is always on the hunt for the newest, coolest muggle gadgets 'n gizmos. Thing-a-ma-bobs? He's got plenty!
TLDR:He's a nerdy, mouth-breather with a hot ex-girlfriend, no social skills, and love for education.

Descended from Michel de Nostredame, Mathys grew up the disappointment in the family. Without the inheritance of a Seer's sixth sense, he was pressured to excel in the practical applications of divination from an early age but resisted due to the constant ridicule from his twin older brothers. Desperately trying to please his father, he applied himself to the study of potioneering but ultimately lacked the stomach for it and would protest the use of certain creature based ingredients. Even once, at age 15, going so far as to free some creatures kept for harvesting purposes and reporting to the Bureau de la Justice Magique of his father's possession of unicorn blood. A problem easily rectifying by the exchange of dirty currency and his father's internal connections within the Bureau.
At age 11 he began his schooling at L'Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons where he was placed in the house of Papillonlisse which further defied family traditions of being placed in the house of Ombrelune. Excelling in both Care for Magical Creatures and Charms, Mathys graduated from Beauxbâtons in the top 5% of his class and went on to study Magizoology and Behavioral Sciences at Wizarding University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Graduating with honors, Mathys' refusal to seek employment at the The Ministère des Affaires Magiques de la France further estranged himself from the rest of his family. Jillian is usually quiet when surrounded by strangers. It takes awhile for her to observe the room and then start making friends. She easily adapts to change and new situations. Jillian is always calm and doesn’t show people when she is vulnerable. She’s also the type that is an optimist. She always (or at least tries her very best) to look at things in a more positive light. Painting is her therapy and so is cleaning or sorting things, a trait that she got from her father. For the most part, Iclyn grew up in a very happy tight knit family, when she was five, her parents adopted Zach, the orphaned son of their parents best friends, and after a bit of rough start, Iclyn, Zach and her older sister Kalista all grew to be fast friends and nearly inseparable. This even translated to Hogwarts when the Fair siblings were all sorted into the same house. Zach and Iclyn made a pact to ask the sorting hat very nicely if they could be in the same house Kalista was, and either the sorting hat granted their requests, or put them their due to their loyalty to one another, we shall never know.
Everything was going well until a few months into Iclyn and Zach’s fourth year, Kalista’s sixth, that their parents were in a car accident and killed. Orphaning the children, and plunging the siblings into a living nightmare. They kept things quiet, as they didn’t want to be separated, not even telling teachers at Hogwarts for fear of being turned in and separated. Once Kali was of age, they all decided to stay together and with her. But still kept things quiet, only telling a select few people what happened.
They all got a small apartment in London that they share. Kali had to drop out of school to work full time, even though their parents were comfortable and left them money, as did the sale of their old house, most
of the money went into savings for college should Iclyn or Zach want to go. Kali will be taking her exams as well as working to help support her siblings.
This term it will just be Zach and Iclyn returning to School, a fact that upset Iclyn more than she lets on.

Iclyn is very sweet and bubbly, even after her parents death, she still maintains this outer facade. She is very strong and she doesn’t like showing weakness to anyone except her siblings and extremely close friends.. She doesn’t like pity, which is why most people don’t know about her family, only a select few that she trusts..

Personality Defining characteristics: Cole is a curious, competitve, stubborn, charismatic but really a good natured boy with lots of ambition and dreams. The background is that their father Calvin about 14 years ago worked for the french ministries creatures department during an exchange programme. He had dealings with the veela colony near Paris and it was then he met Seline Velour of part veela desent. They fell instantly in love much to the dislike of Seline’s parents and siblings. Like many young lovers they eloped together to England. They got married and settled in villa on the outskirts of Liverpool’s magical community. Along Cole came a year later to the young couple’s happiness and the little family lived happily for 3 years and then Isobel came along and everything was perfect.
Like all perfect things though it didn’t last super sadly and just a month after Isobel’s birth Seline dissappeared in the middle of the night, taking all her things and leaving no letter or reasons for why to anyone. Distraught, angry and sad and quite a many other emotions he couldn’t really put into words right then Calvin was left to care for two babies still that missed their mother and needed fostering. The little family hunkered on with the help of Calvin’s parents, sister and friends and the ministry’s daycare facilities. A letter had arrived year later stating that Seline had diead from an illness, but Calvin didn’t know if he should trust the information or not. He kept it to himself until the children got older and then he told them.

Born on the 16th of April in 2085, to Alexander Rose and Rhiannon Todd, were the beautiful twin girls of Carsyn and Carys. It was a no-brainer that on their eleventh birthday they received their Hogwarts letters. What begged to be discussed was where these two young girls would end up sorted. Ever since Carsyn was a young girl, she always pictured herself in her father's role as Gryffindor Seeker. And yet the importance of wisdom had Carsyn thinking she belonged in Ravenclaw House, as her mother. Where the twins differ though is Carsyn's affinity for adventure and thrill-seeking activities. She loves to travel and there's nothing more exciting than new experiences. When sorting time came, Carsyn found herself seated on the stool, the sorting hat falling over her eyes and waited. Waited. Waited some more. Until finally, it decided on Gryffindor! Which was fine by her, only it meant one thing was that she knew her twin wasn't a Gryffindor in any sense of the word. Something that was proven shortly after when Carys was sorted into hufflepuff. Perhaps it wasn't the first time she knew she was different from her sister, but seeing her head off to the Hufflepuff table and the fact that they'd be sleeping in different dormitories was scary? She at least had Elias Diggory, longtime family friend, a year older than her.
SPOILER!!: Fourth Year... at Beauxbatons
This was the year everything would change, Carsyn decided. It was when she would get her first kiss (or not), but more importantly she was determined to have that kiss be between herself and either Calyx or Gunnar. Except Calyx didn't seem interested when she asked him to the Valentines Ball, saying they needed to get to know each other or something first.... Which was whatever, except when she walked on him and Nina in the greenhouses a few months later, it made sense. Sort of. What did Nina have that she didn't have? Whatever. There was still Gunnar. Except the irritating boy from her sister's house, Orion, who didn't appreciate being a Hufflepuff decided to ask her to the ball and not wanting to be the one without a date, she accepted. That was until chaos happened and the ball was cancelled and they were going to get kicked out of Beauxbatons but then they weren't because there was a dragon that the snobby, good-looking french kids smuggled in. So confusing, really. Not as confusing as all the end of the year stuff, when she and Eron were in agreement to go adventuring back to London instead of taking the carriages. They'd explore the beaches and camp and hike their way through miles of countryside. Closing feast was a ball and Carsyn was not in the mood, which was shown by her arriving in cut-off shorts, casual shirt and boots - attire that was not appreciated and the headmaster prompted her immediately to go change. Ridiculous but she reluctantly obliged, throwing on a casual yellow dress instead, keeping the boots on though. That was when she saw Eron there with her sister as his date ???? OKAY? So were they ... could she still go traveling with him the very next day for about four weeks? Apparently, yes. She'd already owled her parents and told them she wouldn't be back in London for about a month, so even if he still didn't want to travel and hike with her, she would go on her own. He did go with her, because turns out they could still be friends ... weirdly having a guy say he crushed on your sister was actually easier to deal with than someone random.
Arriving home a month later was when Carsyn received TWO big surprises thus far in her fifteen years of life. An official letter. One she thought might be punishment for not returning home via the carriages but instead .... it was a letter offering her Gryffindor Prefect. Get ready fifth year for Prefect Rose - times two.
The second surprise was that she'd been accepted to join Wales' Under-17 Team as their seeker, which she'd forgotten about her tryouts when she agreed to her traveling adventures with Eron and thus has missed the first three matches. Fortunately the week she returned, Wales had a bye which allowed Carsyn to get up to speed on trainings and her first match against Scotland the end of July, she caught the snitch which continued Wales winning snitch streak for the season. Sadly didn't do as great in the next two matches but finished out her final two matches for the season with wins. Overall not too shabby for getting off to a late start and being grateful they kept the spot open for her.

Octavia Varya Stark is the only child of famed Dead Kneazles drummer Ascanius Stark, and alchemist and potion mistress Isidora Stark. Her conception was a shock to the then young parents who had been at the start of both their careers and relationship. Still when the time came she was welcomed into the world with an overwhelming amount of love. The first few years Octavia called more places home than she realized. The first two and a half years she lived with her godmother, Alice, and her mother in their somewhat moderately sized flat in London. Prior to turning three, Alice married her godfather West. At that time West and Ascanius had been living together, so when the pair married the small group of friends lived together for a short time. This short time with them was happy, but came to an abrupt end when Ascanius was shot by a crazed fan and hospitalized for a number of days. While Octavia was too young to have concrete memories of this event, it's held lasting ones on her family and is the main reason that her parents found a place of their own shortly after. A number of other events took place in Octavia's younger years that she only has limited memory of such as the loss of her aunt Hanna (the only biological aunt she had any contact with), and her mother going into rehabilitation for a short time.
Dora had always been an overprotective parent from the start, but after Ascanius was shot, Octavia's interactions with anyone outside of Dora's circle was extremely limited. This didn't bother Octavia since she already had a best friend since birth, Flynn Whitlock, and numerous other friends due to her mother's friends having babies only months after she was born. The James, Summers, and Pappadeaux kids were all welcome in the Stark home. Once the time came for Octavia to be educated, there was a lot of disagreement over who would be educating the small wrock star child. Isidora did not trust the security of public places, and Ascanius didn't approve of homeschooling where she'd have no interactions with other children. In the end an agreement was made for Octavia to be educated by her own mother with all of her friends attending as well. This pleased both parents as Isidora was highly intelligent by many standards (she had also already been unofficially educating Octavia since birth), and Octavia would still have safe interactions with other children her age. And thus was the origin of the Stark Primary School.
While Isidora is the primary educator for the Stark School there are other educators for subjects she's not well versed in or for when she has to tend to business with her other careers. This widened Octavia's circle some, but not much, as most of the other educators were family friends. After the Stark School had been established, the Starks themselves moved once more to a home larger than their previously owned one. Dora treasured their first cottage, and even though she already owned property is Cairo, they still kept the home in Dorset. This lead to many places for Octavia to call home.
When Octavia was eight years old, their family pet Biter died. To both women this left a BIG hole in their lives. It also started the incessant questions of when they would get another pet. While Octavia was ready and had so much love to give another, her mother was not. It wouldn't be until their family Christmas trip to Australia when Octavia was nine, that another animal came into their lives. Or rather Octavia's life, as she had come across the calico kitten while out on the beach. Naming the kitten Coral, she kept her secret and managed to smuggle her from Australia to the United Kingdom. It wasn't until soon after then that her father discovered Coral and forced her to explain to her mother about the kitten. Her father, very much impressed with his child, did allow for Octavia to keep the kitten, however. And he even purchased a cow for his only child a year later.
When she was ten years old, a terrible thing happened to Flynn which brought on what Octavia calls 'the sadness'. Her best friend - who always wore the BEST things and even let her paint his nails - was beat up at the park for wearing a tutu over his clothes. The knowledge of what happened was difficult for Octavia to understand, hate itself is difficult for her to understand and to this day she STILL doesn't get why someone could ever hate Flynn, let alone cause him harm. She went and sat with him whenever she was allowed, and when he came back to school she still missed him. Flynn was never the same after the incident, so the sadness still lives on.
There was happiness this year as well, as her godparents FINALLY had a baby of their own. In Octavia's eyes, this made her an unofficial big sister to one very little Julian Odessa. This also spawned numerous inquiries about when she would be an official big sister. The questions never really stop, only are put on hiatus and have life breathed back into it when Zane Paris Darcy is born some time later.
While Ascanius was infamous for interrupting Stark School lessons to either steal away Octavia or embarrass Dora in front of the children, Octavia felt like her father did more of this her last year and a half of school. She welcomed it of course, because papa time was her favorite, but she did tend to pick up on things like this and knew it was because she soon would be departing off to school.
Picking up on her parents reservations about her going off to school, Octavia tried not to appear overly excited by the prospect of going to a new place where there would be hundreds of kids to interact with and new things to learn. She tried really hard. It became even more difficult when she, Flynn, Teddy, Fifi, and Yoyo all went to get wands together. When she wasn't in Diagon shopping for school supplies or hanging out with her friends, she was spending time with her small family, making the most of their last times together and worrying for how they would fare without her. The Stark School graduation was the last big event of the summer before she was getting ready for what she was sure to be an AMAZING school year as a first year Hogwarts student at Beauxbatons.

It is often expressed that Octavia is a child of her own making, impossible to have come from her parents. Where Isidora and Ascanius are pessimistic and unwelcoming to generally everyone, Octavia is the complete opposite. Octavia Stark is the pure goodness derived deep from within her parents. Having been raised completely sheltered, she always sees the good in the world and approaches everything with an optimistic attitude. Tavie loves meeting new people. Everyone one is a potential friend! And those who aren't friends (it's a very very small list) have a good reason for not being. The smallest Stark can at times be overly affectionate without ever realizing it. She loves physical affection and expressing herself with action over words, as when she's overtaken by emotion words seldom come to her.
Naturally reserved, Octavia is a child that can sit still for hours simply observing or self entertaining, but she would much rather be putting on a show with friends or wrocking out with her papa's band. Their studio was one of her playgrounds growing up and much like her mother's lab, she was allowed to mess around with things of lesser importance when she flashed her innocent smile.
This Stark is charming without trying or realization. It's easy for her to make friends or get the things she wants. And if she doesn't get what she wants, she works hard until she can have it or finds a way. Octavia is not used to not getting what she wants. That being said, her charm paired with the strict manners her parents instilled in her, many haven't been pressed to not give her what she wants.
Octavia is big on family. It's the only thing she's ever known and loved. Their her foundation and being without them scares her as she's always had at least one person in her family with her. Having a life of privilege and being totally sheltered for so long has left her not knowing how to function alone, though that won't ever stop her from trying.
Effortlessly brilliant, Octavia has a big love of numbers specifically. If you ask her age, she'll give you an exact number down to the decimal, enjoying the mental calculations. And while Octavia doesn't have a particular love of learning, she is naturally curious which has lead to learning a number of things including learning Arabic. 'Why' is always the question in her head that needs answering.
An empath, Octavia tends to pick up on the emotions of other around her and can easily sense when something is off with someone, even if she doesn't know the person. This does make it difficult for Octavia to know how she feels about certain things, or can be bad for her when she's around someone who is experiencing a negative emotion. Sometimes this can be overwhelming for her, but because she knows how to deal with what she's feeling or seek out help when she can't, she so far has been able to deal with everything.

History
Bernadette did not know a n y t h i n g about the wizarding world until her mum handed her a letter from the post. It took all of the Granthams quite a while to believe this wasn't a prank, and took Hogwarts approximately six letters of owl post before the Granthams confirmed Bernadette's attendance.
Some of her family are still doubtful that "Hogwarts, the Boarding School" exists, although her mum did help her navigate Diagon Alley and buy all her school supplies. Bernie is anxious to fit in with the wizard kids, and has many, many preconceived and incorrect notions of what magic is like. She is too headstrong to admit when she is wrong, and embarrasses easily when someone points out her faults. However, she is enthusiastic when trying something new, friendly when around other kids, and courageous when threatened with an obstacle.

Year One (2099-2100): Her favorite classes included Transfiguration, Charms, and DADA, with her least favorites being Muggle Studies why does she need this class?, and surprisingly, Care of Magical Creatures. She was nearly a hatstall (Hufflepuff was the Sorting Hat's other choice for her) and attempted to learn some French, for her first year took place at Beauxbatons (due to the boggart invasion of Hogwarts). Also in her first year, Headmaster Trent suspended Bernie from school instead of expelling her per Desmarais' demands and sent her home due to her participation she raised her wand at the Headmistress in a fire/gargoyle attack in the Rose Garden during Care of Magical Creatures class. Bernie's wand was also attacked/broken by a Gargoyle then, though it was later repaired by Headmaster Trent. After a lecture from her parents and a very, very long and magic-less Christmas break, Bernie returned to school slightly more subdued. She behaved in MOST of her lessons, but was then accused (along with approx. 50 other people) of RUINING the decorations for the forthcoming school ball. Bernie was forced to attend a trial wherein Headmistress Desmarais expelled every Hogwartian from Beauxbatons, but then hastily invited them back so they could help her find the dragon that the French pupils had snuck into school. After this fiasco, the dragon!baby was caught, the second fire in the rose garden was extinguished, and Hogwarts was allowed to stay and have a ball in lieu of a feast.
Other highlights from her first year: attempting to rob the snack corner on the train, baking magic cookies with Freyr, mapping Beauxbatons, helping Headmaster Trent not become lost, officially becoming Schmoe's assistant professor, helping Ilya Belrose discover that he was a metamorphmagus, apple exploding, dancing lessons, and other lesson shenanigans with Blake Ryan and Claudine Blaze, meeting a house elf in Charms, losing points in Potions, being accused of ruining the ball with everyone else, firefighting and dragon-watching with Cece Summers and Phoebe James, and dancing at the feast with Rowan and Blake. Oui.
Year Two (2100-2101): Bernie met Elias on the train and was persuaded to ride the first-year boats across the lake to Hogwarts, since she didn't get to do that last year and all. Naturally, she received detention for that, where she had to clean boats for Professor Fuller-Thompson and the Headmaster. After detention, Bernie did a decent job of staying out of trouble, until the Hogwarts Founders started to show up. She encountered Godric Gryffindor in the Duelling Arena and followed his orders to blow up the arena. After that chaos, Bernie had to write a 50-inch essay about why she was an idiot and if she should deserve to carry a wand. Trent accepted her apology and returned her wand, but did not go easy on her in their later duel. Bernie then proved that she hadn't quite learned to listen ONLY to her professors as she snuck out of bed one night and went on an expedition to the Forbidden Forest with her BFF Claudine Blaze. Of course, the two twelve-year-olds had to be rescued by the Groundskeeper and Headmaster as they caused the loss of two of Fuller's dogs and were nearly pulled apart/eaten by acromantulas themselves. While they were being patched up in the Hospital Wing, Trent warned the girls that they were on their LAST CHANCE and were THISCLOSE to being expelled. He also grounded them to their dormitories, even for mealtimes, and only permitted them to leave for lessons and the end-of-term feast.
Year Three (2101-2102): After an eventful train ride that involved sneaking crups into the school, Bernie recalled that she was on her last chance and could no longer be involved with the likes of Claudine Blaze. Or, rather, Blaze decided this for her, breaking up their friendship before school even began.
Other highlights from her third year: summoning Lord Voldemort, looking for stuff and taking selfies with the weatherman, jazzercise with Schmoe, the kelpie lesson, the babka lesson, forgetting everything, THE MEME LESSON, the book on the head thing, the Schmoe's girlfriend thing, the Christmas present from Blake thing, and then a great summer.
Year Four (2102-2103): Bernadette successfully spent most of her summer with her friend Blake Ryan, including sneaking out of her family's flat and onto a plane bound for the USA without their permission. The rest of the year is a bit of a blur, as once she got to Hogwarts, she became possessed by an old ghost hellbent on getting his treasure back or burning down the school trying.
Other highlights from her fourth year: burning down the Forbidden Forest with Avalon, Ashley, Irithel, and the others; striking a deal with Nem Upsetead; silencing firsties in Muggle Studies; a lecture, by Finneas Schmoe; and other things here.
Year Five (2103-2104): Eating cookies on the train with Avalon, chaos! at the opening feast, starting the Resistance, a DADA to remember, throwing stones in Divination, and of course, Talks with Schmoe.

Curtis was born in January of 2086 to Pierson Fuller and Javier Thompson. His parents were the best of friends as students before becoming Professors at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft. At first sight, Curtis appears to have inherited his Papa Javy's looks, but the behavior and expressions all point to his Daddy Piersie. Their household was filled with pranks and playful mayhem shaping his sense of humor. Growing up, he would play with his older brother, Tobias, and the dogs at his Daddy's Doggy daycare until he was old enough to attend Primary Wizarding School. Following graduation, he remained homeschooled for three years until Hogwarts was deemed habitable again. Curtis would at last finally attend Hogwarts in his fourth year.
Fourth year // 2100-2101:
Curtis' fourth-year was dramatic. On the first day of lessons, he showed up late and ended up in detention. Then he was suspended for an entire semester after yelling at the Headmaster with his father present. He returned after winter break and earned more detentions. He also managed to accidentally invade the Girl's Bathroom and nearly destroyed the Library due to eavesdropping on his crush. On a good behavior note, he was present to the events of historical figures leaving their portrait and didn't offend them. He then won two Yearbook Superlatives: Class Clown & Most Likely to Break out of Azkaban. His verdict? The year went better than expected.
Fifth year // 2101-2102: Curtis' fifth-year was forgetful. Literally. In the beginning, he was involved with helping some friends hide a pet before could get caught. After that, he low-key kept his crush on Chloe not so obvious but was too lazy to make actual moves until the end of the year. The majority of the year he was out of trouble because he became translucent and forgot even more things. He did, however, participate in removing the spell that kept them all trapped in the school and risking their disappearance. That was about it.
Sixth year // 2102-2103:
Curtis' sixth year came and went. He had fun teasing the Headmaster during his lessons again leading him to be sent out the classroom once again. Most people ignored him by now, the others who didn't were cool. He got more than an invitation at the end of the year that lead to a happy memory for him. Oh yeah, and he managed to avoid getting possessed by ghosts unlike some other students this term. He was Hogwarts survivor once again. Come next term however, he'd return without his Dad for the final year. By the way, he also happened to win "Most Likely to burn down the Forbidden Forest...possibly on purpose" Yearbook Superlative.
Seventh year // 2103-2104:
Curtis was in his final year at Hogwarts. The term was another dangerous one, with the Neo-Alliance invading the school. Lessons were altered with students learning how horrible Muggles were and essentially outcasting those relating to them. Curtis would've been a great contender for the Alliance... except for one thing. His Papa Javy was muggleborn, little tibit of information that Curtis kept hidden from the imposter Headmaster was eventually uncovered. After witnessing muggles being killed he was then banished to the cellar with the other students that happened to have "tainted blood". At least until they were rescued and the Battle of Hogwarts began once again. They won the battle, but Curtis lost his godmother in the fight. It was a somber ending to his time at Hogwarts as he left before the ending feast. He would complete his N.E.W.Ts at the Ministry during the summer.

Born to Penelope, a rising writer and Jonathan, a herbalist, specialized in healing, Nora grew up following her parents through many cities and small towns within Europe, and for a year in Africa. The tours consisted in attending book fairs and presentations of her mother's work, and her father changing work locations as a healer for Wizarding Peace Corps.
Nora adopted this kind of lifestyle, living in tents, sometimes in small flats or lofts, and even shelters if needed, therefore loves to go out camping when she wants to explore and live the raw life, and having meetups in places where there is lots of people when she wants to share something fun with people she loves/cares for.
It came the time when Nora turned eleven when her letter for Hogwarts arrived, and her parents decided it was time to finally settle somewhere while still doing some of their work from home, except for the book tours with her mother, although became less constant. When she gets to join her mother on tours, Nora enjoys sightseeing and writing a travel journal wherever she goes, hoping one day it might turn into a series of novels or just a guide for common wanderers.

Before Hogwarts, Isla attended muggle primary and elementary school with her younger siblings. She was happy, had made lots of friends, and had spent years in extra-curricular activities with her muggle friends. She took ballet lessons at a local dance school and played basketball in an association near her house and school.
Had life just continued in the same way it always had, Isla would have been perfectly happy. Being a pureblood, though, she knew her time at muggle school would soon come to an end. She had grown up in a magical household in a pureblood wizarding family, and she was ready for magical school. When the 2100 school year came to a close, she told her friends goodbye, explained that she was going off to some boarding school that really didn't exist, and promised to write.
❤ PERSONALITY ❤ Beginning of first year:
Isla is right at the age where there's a fine line between the innocence of childhood and the up and coming pre-teen years. She's had small crushes on some of the boys from school, but she hasn't had her first actual boyfriend yet. She's worn a little bit of lip gloss but never a full face of make-up. She still paints her toenails bubblegum pink and can't decide if her favorite hair bows should make their way into her trunk or not.
She's full of personality, loves to have fun, and is the complete opposite of shy. She's about 80% girly-girl and 20% not. She's the kind of kid that doesn't want to get into trouble, but she's not one to pass up a good adventure either. Although she doesn't know she's a Slytherin yet, the trait that most likely got her sorted into that house is ambition. She's not very cunning (unless she has to be), and she honestly thought she was going to be a Gryffindor.

In her opinion, Isla had a pretty boring first year. She didn't know too many people, and she just didn't get out much. She pretty much figures that her whole first year was just going to classes. Boring, huh? Well...there was that moment where she came running into battle carrying THE sword of Gryffindor. Sure, she could have made better decisions at that moment, but it was still one of the most epic things she'd ever done! So maybe first year wasn't that boring. Anyway, she's growing up some, trying to get out more, and hoping to make her second year much more memorable than just being top points earner.

It was good that Isla wasn't a shy kid, because as she walked down the aisle of the Great Hall and toward the Sorting Hat, there were 555, 600 eyes on her. Well, that was a big exaggeration. A really big one. First of all, she had no idea how many eyes there were in here, and even if she did, she doubted seriously they were all looking at her. It just felt like they were.
The firstie joined the crowd of other first years at the front of the Great Hall and waited impatiently for her name to be called. It didn't take long, because Bellchant, Isla was pretty much among the first names to be called. Isla had already figured she would be a Gryffindor, but it was just a matter of getting the hat to announce that. When her name was called, she stepped forward and took a seat on the chair, drawing a deep breath as she did so. How was it possible that this was one of the most terrifying moments and one of the most exciting moments of her life?
Once the hat was on her head, she felt it moving around, and she giggled at the feeling of it. "Hmm. A Bellchant child. Haven't had one of you in a while," the hat said. Isla's eyebrows wrinkled inward. A Bellchant child. Was that a good thing or a bad thing for the hat? She had no idea what kind of students her mom and dad had been...
"Determined to do well, I see," the hat continued. Isla nodded and made a face that said 'Yeah, I can see that, Hat.' It continued making some 'hmm' sounds and occasionally muttered something like 'I see.' Finally, it made its decision.
"SLYTHERIN!"
A super shocked Isla let out a small gasp. Wait. There had been some mistake. She was supposed to have been a GRYFFINDOR, not a Slytherin. Weren't the Slytherins the bad guys? Or the ones that became bad? She didn't want to be a bad guy when she grew up! "Umm, say that again, please," she whispered.
"SLYTHERIN!" the hat said, loud and proud. There had been no mistaking it this time. "Okay, thanks," she said to it.
With eyes that felt as big as quaffles, the eleven-year-old stepped down and walked slooooooowly to the Slytherin table.

:: background Ronan was the third child born to Nevaeh Drewery-Mae and Bartolomew Wallace, when his brother was sixteen and sister was seven. He was a healthy happy boy from the start, kind and curious and eager to absorb everything life had to offer. Since his siblings were much older than him, Ronan was raised almost like the eldest child in the family, with younger sisters Patience and Ashling being born several years after himself. Noel and Sunny, and especially Noel, for he was almost an adult at the time of Ronan's birth, were like a second set of parents to him, and Ronan has always looked up to them in that manner, emulating their activities and hobbies and wants.
When Ronan was around four, he started writing stories. They were about Noel, his hero, and Sunny, always some sort of sun in the story, and mean people which they would vanquish by outlandish means, like dropping a divination ball on their heads, or playing music so loud everyone left and the day was saved. He kept up this habit as he grew up, writing and drawing (and then just writing because his drawing skills are abysmal) during classes and in his spare time. An athletic boy by nature, his PE teacher suggested the track team to him and his parents fairly quickly, and he's been madly dashing around tracks ever since. His preferred races are sprints, but does hold his own on the long races as well. No one in his family knows where he gets all his energy from, it sure isn't a shared quality amongst the siblings.
Ronan's other hobbies include playing the guitar (he's not so great at it, but does enjoy playing simple songs and Noel plays the guitar so he obviously needs to keep practicing until he's great), being in the kitchen with his mother (lemon cakes are the best confection in this entire world and if you say otherwise you'll have to deal with Ronan E. Wallace) and everything that has to do with the Falmouth Falcons.
He got his first broom when he was eight years old, and traded in his hobby of tree climbing (not entirely of course, there's always a good reason to climb a tree) with flying. The Wallace home is in Cornwall, by the beach, and Ronan took to flying out into the sea to the absolute dismay of his worried parents. He fell once, into the water, and learned instantly to never fly so far out again. It's scary and there are FISH IN THE WATER D: D: D: and SHARKS AND CRABS D: Ronan is not a fan.
His knowledge of magic comes solely from living in a magical household, since he attended a muggle primary school where he learned all about mathematics and science and geography, and very little about potions and transfiguration. He's ever so excited to finally dive into the magical world, and the day he finally bought his own wand was the absolute best day of his life. SOME HISTORY: Islay Ceridwen Moreau has always believed that she was born on April 20, 2085 to Tegan and Grégoire Moreau. Her family has never corrected her on this bit of misinformation. Islay Moreau truly was born to Ceridwen Vaughn and Finnlay Johanson on April 20, 2085.
Islay’s biological parents met while visiting a dragon reserve on the Hebridean Islands. Her biological father, Finnlay had known, that his girlfriend, and had left when a family emergency left him and his siblings as orphans and his youngest sister in need of a sense of stability. It was his intention to introduce his sister and then-girlfriend to each other but while away Ceridwen went into labor and unfortunately there were complications.
Due to the fact that Ceridwen hadn’t had the time to put Finn’s information on the intake forms all of the information for the baby's father had been left out. However, her contact, her older sister Tegan was able to come and pick up her newborn niece – whom Ceridwen had insisted on naming Islay prior to her untimely death. When Finn came to visit and check up on Ceridwen, having not heard of her demise he received misinformation from Grégoire Moreau as the man had no idea who was calling upon them. This was simply due to the fact that Ceridwen had yet to introduce her family to the father of her child when she went into labor.
Tegan and Grégoire having just had a child of their own only a year prior to Islay’s birth had decided to simply raise her as their own. This was something most of the family agreed on, that is everyone except for Emrys and Tegan Vaughn as they didn’t want their daughter's memory to disappear. They wanted Islay to know about her biological mother and their precious daughter. This disagreement caused a bit of a rift for the family and Islay’s parents decided to move to France in 2086 and they lived there for fourteen years.
Growing up Islay had always felt slightly off with the rest of her family. While she loved them, she felt like there were differences that she couldn’t really put a finger on. [more to come]

HISTORY
Gabriela Monika Schaeffer--more commonly known as Gabi to her close friends--was born on Halloween to German immigrant parents in London, England. For the first few years of her life she bounced back and forth between Munich, Germany and London. Because of this constant moving, Gabi became fluent in both German and English. Finally, at the age of 8 they decided on permanently settling in Surrey.
At Hogwarts, Gabi was sorted into Slytherin and was one of the top students in her class, especially when it came to Charms. She dropped all the "useless" subjects as she referred to them, like Herbology and History of Magic, as soon as she could and focused on the wand-based classes like Charms, Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts. After graduating, she moved to Germany and attended university. Following the completion of her first degree, she took a job in the Charms division of the German Ministry of Magic because there were no open positions in London at the time. She became head of her department after a few years and was able to learn more complex spells than she'd ever dreamed while working in Berlin. At this time she met her husband, Moritz Schultz, and married him just a few short months after dating him. They had a son together named Tucker, and Moritz sadly passed away a year after his son's birth.
Heartbroken, the newly widowed young mother made the rash decision to move back to London and quit her job in Berlin. She lived with her parents for a few years and was able to focus all her attention on raising Tucker before she decided it was time to get a job once more. She applied at the Ministry of Magic and got an entry level position on Level 3. Even though Gabi had always insisted on keeping her original last name, she changed her name to Schultz upon moving to London, which would have been her married name at the time she married Moritz. She also changed her son Tucker's last name in remembrance of her late husband.
After transferring to the open position of Magical Transportation Department Head, Gabi actually became a bit more relaxed and laid back in her new role. It probably helped that she became romantically involved with former Department Head Armen Recard. As things became more serious, Armen and Gabi made the decision to relocate to France. However, after a few months out of the office, she became restless and was determined to get her old job back while still commuting to the Ministry from her new home in France. After some snooping around and manipulating the emotions of certain curly haired department head, she found herself back in her old position.
Following her marriage to Armen, Gabriela decided to retire from the Ministry for good this time. At this time, she decided to return to school to pursue a second degree in History of Magic. While she had previously thought the subject dull, she became fascinated with magical history upon visiting Egypt on her honeymoon with Armen. This led to her becoming enamored with curse breaking as well, and upon completion of her Magical History degree, pursued a graduate degree in curse breaking and further study in history. Her relationship with Armen is strong, and he had no problems with her traveling for weeks at a time to go on curse breaking missions across Europe and Africa. However, after she became pregnant with her second child - which was a shock, as her one perfect child had always been enough for her - she retired from cursebreaking but helped the bank in the office, providing materials and doing research on future missions for wizards who would be entering the field.
After some time, Gabriela was given the chance to teach at a primary wizarding school teaching History of Magic. She realized her passion for this new interest in her life had come full circle. Many of her students found the subject 'boring' as she had in school - it became her goal to change that perception. Despite her sharp tongue, Gabi found a softness in her heart for young students and felt an immense responsibility to be a safe haven for them should they ever need it. The stars finally had aligned for her - and she was never more sure of where her career had taken her than when she found an opening as History of Magic Professor at Hogwarts. She applied and was offered the job, which she eagerly accepted. In addition, she took on the role of Healer - over the summer, she took 3 basic healer courses to assure she knew all the potions and spells needed to patch up scrapes, bumps and other ailments.
PERSONALITY
Gabi is often shrewd and cunning and able to manipulate people into doing what she wants, keeping her in line with the reputation of her old Hogwarts house. This personality trait has gotten her very far in life, even allowing her to convince former Department Head Cale Newell to give him her old position back and resign.
She can come off as snobbish and bitter if you catch her in the wrong mood, but after a while she tends to warm up to people and is much more pleasant than her first impression makes her out to be. She unknowingly tends to look down on people based on appearances but will quickly change her attitude after getting to know someone. So best not look sloppy when you come to class!
Gabi is also extremely intelligent and continues to study up on multiple subjects during her spare time, focusing mainly on history but also keeping up on new developments in charms and transfiguration. The importance of school is a trait she has instilled in her two children, which lead to Tucker becoming a professor at Ilvermorny following his university education. His interest in history (he himself is a History of Magic professor) was also a catalyst in renewing Gabi's interest in the subject.
However, tragedy struck when the Sorting Hat MISTAKENLY sorted her beloved son into HUFFLEPUFF. She immediately pulled him from school and filed a lawsuit against the Sorting Hat, which she eventually dropped. Even though Tucker did return for his third year, he followed his mother to France with Armen and transferred to Beauxbatons where he graduated. Her daughter, Emilie, with her second husband currently studies at Durmstrang, because she was interested in studying outside the country, and Gabi has always had a problem telling her youngest child no.
Don't worry, her attitude towards Hufflepuff has changed dramatically since her oldest child was sorted there. Watching her son grow up in to a charming, kind, loyal young man who would do anything for his friends and family convinced her that perhaps focusing on the ultimately meaningless sorting given to them at school was unnecessary. As the years have gone by, Gabi has become much more open minded, which she attributes to her time teaching. She is much more patient, understanding, and willing to compromise, and that is called GROWTH.
But don't be mistaken - if you get on her bad side, she will NOT hesitant to send you straight to detention, or give you a T on your assignment if she feels you aren't putting your best work forward. You best be paying attention, and you better not be late to class - she still has an attitude about her, and is not afraid to show it.
HOGWARTS TERMS

Teaching at Hogwarts was truly one of the last places Gabi expected herself to end up - and not only that, but as a HEALER as well! Still, despite how unexpected her new position was, she was thrilled to put her newfound love of history to good work. She planned her lessons for months, laying out her entire curriculum before she got to school and taking some healing classes to boot in order to prepare for her new role. Two of her favorite lessons this term consisted of historical lessons on two key figures in Wizarding history - Nicolas Flamel and Neville Longbottom.
As to be expected, her first term wasn't a cakewalk by any means. Portraits came to life and before she knew it, founders were walking around the school trying to start a coup d'etat against Trent and the school and return things to their "old" ways. The scariest moment for her came when Gryffindor actually STABBED the Care of Magical Creatures professor, forcing Gabi to put her minimal healer training in to overdrive in order to stabilize him for St. Mungos. Before things could get much more out of hand, the portraits were returned to their frames, and Gabi used her previous experience with charms to seal them in hopefully for good this time. Gabi plans to spend her summer planning her next year of lessons and taking another healing course to help sharpen her skills in that department - just in case someone gets stabbed again.
Term 55:

Gabi is no fool - after her first eventful term at Hogwarts, she didn't expect her second one to be any less challenging. However, she certainly didn't expect her life to be thrown in to utter chaos thanks to a magical weather phenomenon that only occurs every couple hundred years. The school was quite literally thrown into the past, and since they didn't belong there, they began to fade away into nothing. Gabi forgot all the intimate details of her personal life, like her husband's name, the fact that she had an adult son, and more. The mental toll of being so forgetful - especially for someone as organized as Gabi - was draining.
Thankfully, the school was able to be restored to its appropriate time, and magic returned (just in the nick of time, as her store of magical potions for healing - and her personal beauty routine - were running dangerously low!) and everyone was returned to their normal states.
Of course, despite disappearing into literal thin air, this didn't stop Gabi from steaming right through her curriculum for the term, despite many students forgetting things and deadlines. She focused on Newt Scamander this term, even having a long term assignment revolving around "Flat Newt" and his adventures at Hogwarts.
Term 56:

After the events of the previous term, Gabi was certain that nothing could be worse than nearly vanishing in to thin air. While no ones life was particularly at risk during the term, she was certainly pushed to her limits. The hospital wing was busier than ever, and she felt like she was getting absolutely no support from Headmaster Trent - which was extremely unlike him. As term progressed, it became obvious that the treasure they'd found on the grounds earlier in the term was the source of many problems, and Gabi was treating students for a disease she had ZERO experience in treating - ghostly possession. It was true that you had to stay on your toes at Hogwarts!
At the end of the term, the treasure was returned to Slyvester Hargraves, the ghostly spirit that had been causing chaos all term. However, Trent vanished the treasure before Slyvester could claim it, essentially vanishing Slyvester from the world as well. Gabi continued to remain suspicious of Trent's new demeanor as they went into the summer, and even though her family took a lovely trip to South Africa, she couldn't help but feel a nagging sort of thought in the back of her brain that things weren't going to return to normal when they got back to school.
Term 57:

The fourth term of Gabi's Hogwarts career was by far her most challenging. The Neo-Alliance had fully gotten their grasp on Hogwarts, and Gabi would be lying if she didn't say she was disappointed in herself for not realizing sooner that Trent had been replaced by Lucien Rosier. Still, in an effort to try and not rock the boat, Gabi continued onward. She patched up students without making a fuss as the Inquistorial Squad made their distain for muggleborns clear. The constant struggle of trying to put on a brave face for the children, as well as keep them from losing moral and doing something stupid, was exhausting. Try as she may, she was always being second guessed by Lucien, and eventually threatened by him that if she didn't keep up her act and fall in line with the Alliance.
The moment she had been waiting for finally came in April when the castle came under siege by the Order members who had finally figured out what was going on under Hogwarts' roof during the school year. She was able to help detain the Alliance members who attempted to storm the safe haven they'd set up for the younger students. She was able to use her former background in Charms for once and helped capture the rogue Azkaban prisoners, helping stop the Alliance and save the students from further torment.
Over the summer, despite attempts by Gabi to take classes on counseling and mental health to better support the students in the new term, she realized she had to focus on her OWN mental health. She stepped down as Healer to allow someone else to hold the position, having been too drained over the past few terms of near-death experiences to continue. However, she got a pleasant surprise when she was promoted to Deputy Headmistress, a position she accepted without a second thought!
Gabi took plenty of time over the summer to relax in France with Armen and Emilie, and to her pleasant surprise, her son Tucker, who had come home from traveling and settled permanently in London.

Orion comes from a family of, to put it lightly, rule-breakers. His parents own a business and run a dodgy, black-market deal on the side as well.
