WOOD: Pear This golden-toned wood is best suited for warmhearted and friendly individuals - you will not see it matched with any witch or wizard inclined to practising dark magic, nor will it easily produce harmful magics. In exchange for this wood's reluctance to do harm however, charms, transfiguration spells, and protective spells seem to have a boost of sorts. A Pearwood wand feels eager to please and be all things a helpful wand could possibly be. The Pearwood wand is associated with wisdom, likeability and compassion. Those who are interested in healing or divination may find this wand to be an ideal tool.
CORE: Phoenix Feather (Big 3 Group) The phoenix is a sacred creature born of earth and fire. Perhaps one of the most ancient of firebirds, the phoenix is also one of the most magical creatures, also thought to possess healing powers through its tears. The tail feather of a phoenix would be a wise choice for one who wishes to cast protection spells or lasting charms. It would make an excellent companion to woods that draw from the element of fire and water.
Phoenix tail feather is a popular wand core due to its versatility and power. Its main strength lies in Defense Against the Dark Arts, although its adaptability can wrench it to hexes and jinxes if need be. As with the dragon heartstring core, the phoenix core is common amongst Light Wizards, but its users are not necessarily Light Wizards. This core may specifically impede Dark spells, so it is not common amongst Slytherins. However, it is by far the most common Gryffindor wand core, and is not unusual amongst Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs.

Personality: Maddie is a teeny-tiny version of what you would expect if bubblegum, ice cream, and cupcakes got married and had a child. History:
It was a dark and stormy day... Psh. I'm only kidding. Well, it might have been a dark and stormy day, but who knows or cares? It was June 17, 2082, when Maddie came into the world, mouth wide open and probably screaming for a hug or some food. Or both. She was PERFECT, and her parents loved her right away. Well, just kidding about that, too. I mean, it could have very well happened, but who knows? Her parents did love her right away, though, as any parents should and hopefully do. They raised her in a loving and very caring environment.
Maddie attended Wizarding Primary School as a very young child. When she was four years old, she helped welcome a little brother, and when she was six years old, she helped welcome a little sister. Life proceeded as normal with toys, rainbows, pastries, and cuddly animals being the main focus of things. Maddie likes to consider herself all grown up now that she's attending "the big kid's school," but who is she kidding? She doesn't even know what it means to be grown up or even what it means to be fifteen or sixteen.
This brings us to September 1, 2093, when eleven-year-old Maddie was all packed up and ready to take Hogwarts by storm! She's always ready for Hogwarts, but Merlin only knows if that castle is ever ready for her. There is not enough Calming Draught in the world to tame this wild thang.

Chapter Four: Introspective
Personality: Introverted Teddy likes to bury his nose in books and writing, and is often caught spending more time in his imagination than reality. He is very timid and finds comfort in routine. But he is smart and logical, and can often talk himself through his fears, not overcoming them but managing them. He loves to learn, and researches many different things in his free time. He particularly enjoys muggle mathematics, history and chemistry, and subsequently arithmancy, history of magic, care of magical creatures and potions and is looking forward to starting those subjects.
He is good, kind, and loyal. He finds it difficult at times to open up to others, especially in a group setting, but once he has made a friend, he is loyal and takes his friendship responsibility very seriously.
He loves gobstones, and enjoys watching quidditch, though he hates flying. He is a bit of a sweet tooth and LOVES chocolate frogs, and he also collects the cards. Chapter Six: History
Lisabel and Alexander, in their late forties, were surprised when they discovered they were about to be parents again. Theodore and Ava were born during the summer holidays, and their Uncle Archer and older siblings Dimitri and Zhenya visited them.
Their childhood was a bit odd. They had older parents, and their siblings had estranged themselves from their parents. Teddy and Ava didn’t see them for many years. From age 5-10 the twins went to the muggle primary school their mother taught at during the day, and at nights and on weekends they were taught about their other world, mainly by their father and uncle Archer and, later, their brother. They learned about Hogwarts, wands, boggarts and patronuses, plus all of the subjects that were taught at Hogwarts. Their childhood was not lonely, though. They had each other, the kids in the neighborhood and at school. The worst thing that happened to them was watching the effect of their older siblings leaving had on their parents, particularly their father, and at times the twins felt like they had to care for themselves.
Before they got their Hogwarts letters, something amazing happened. Dimitri came back, and with him came Alana and Keenan. This was good.

Personality: As the baby of the family Patrick had to compete with the rest of his siblings in order to be heard around other members of his family, as well as his friends. He learned quickly that humor helped him stand out from his siblings. He also likes to befriend anyone regardless of where they're from, he enjoys knowing people. Although he seems confident he has a bit of shyness in him.
Background: His mother and father are from London and went to Hogwarts themselves. When his mother and father graduated from Hogwarts they moved to America, specifically Kentucky. First Year(2093-2094): During his first year, he made friends with many people, coming to be known as a good kid and always attending class. Some of the notables, he was nearly killed in DADA when he was dangling from a cliff. Additionally he was a bit worried in Runes when they were working through the maze. His friends have come to realize that he is very nice, but very outgoing. His southern accent has become a staple in the halls of Hogwarts.

Second Year(2094-2095): Patirck was scurrying around Hogwarts this year trying to figure out what all of the paintings on the walls were, and where they were coming from. His time in class was still as important to him as before, but this year he made the quidditch team. He was surprised by how much he learned this year, but is starting to wonder just how much he actually knows.

Third Year(2095-2096): During his third year, Patrick actually made the Quidditch team, he was a chaser. During this term there was a trip to the lake where he tried to keep with the class and avoid any danger. Thankfully, this term Patrick did not nearly die during DADA class or in any other situation on campus. During the Inferi battle at Hogwarts this term, Patrick was sick with the flu and was laid up in his bed, much to his delight after the fact.
Fourth Year(2096-2097): Quidditch Captain. Can you believe this? Although, once at Hogwarts he realized that the term would not be going as he expected it to. As soon as he walked into the building and sat down for the opening speech Headmistress Hawthorne was sacked and the reign of terror began. Patrick depended on Quidditch to get him through the term and make it through classes. He hated sitting through class but did it regardless of what the Headmaster and his cronies would do. In the end he helped Slytherin make it to the quidditch cup!
Fifth Year(2097-2098): Pink fuzzy creatures. They were everywhere he touched one and ended up slowly growing pink fur. Thankfully not as badly as his friends but he was not eager to have fur growing. This term was more unsuccessful for his quidditch captaincy. He lost the cup, but he figured it wouldn’t have been that bad. He met new friends, fell for a girl, and somehow managed to pass his OWLs with flying colors. Broke his ankle playing baseball the summer leading up to his sixth year.
Sixth Year(2098-2099): Just a normal term at Hogwarts right? First it started with a creatures coming toward the castle, He was not a fan of the spiders. Then it was the mist. Why Mist? Why something that he shouldn't be scared of coming for him in such a way. He was not a fan at all. But the worst part was losing a close friend, the disappearnces of students was one of the worst parts and if he was being honest with himself he really thought about leaving for a hot second, but why do that your last year ya know? Being Prefect wasn't all bad.... Unless it meant that he lost the girl he liked, then another because he thought he had to set the prefect example when he just needed to lead by example.

Beau has been impulsive, quick and loud from the get-go. He does not think before he acts, nor before he speaks and often has the issue of understanding personal space or volume. His parents often refer to Beau as ‘Beau Go Go’ as he struggles to sit still for longer than a minute, choosing to literally bounce off the walls in the hallways of both of their homes. Pre Hogwarts (2081 - 2093)
Kaia Barnard and Chandler Montague met when they both transferred to Hogwarts. To begin with, they did not get along but slowly built a friendship which turned into a relationship. The two Hufflepuffs had a hard relationship, being teenagers, and split up multiple times after innocent kissing of other people, a miscarriage in 2074 and exam-related bickerings. After they graduated from Hogwarts in the summer of 2077, Chandler began his police officer training and Kai took up a reserve beater position with the Romford Ravens. The two managed to steady their relationship in post-graduate life, leading to their engagement in the October of 2079 and becoming man and wife just a few months later in the January of 2080.
Beau’s older sister Liliane Kaidah Ellie Montague was born on the 12th of September in 2080 to the happily married Montague couple, with Beau arriving just over a year later in early November of 2081. Life in their family home began well, but conflicting work schedules when Kaia began to play beater for the Wimbourne Wasps led to cracks in Beau’s parents relationship. Eventually, in the year 2085, Chandler and Kaia decided to separate, with Chandler moving out of the family home whilst they tried to mend their relationship by making extra effort in spending time together as a couple and as a family of four. However, this lasted only a year before they officially filed for divorce. Beau moved to a new house in Oxford with his mother and sister, just a few streets away from where his father was now living in his own house.
Beau has a close relationship with his mother, father and sister and finds that he much prefers his parents being able to get along as friends which they do now.

Brief History
A year after being born, her parents decided to move back to Glasgow, her mother's hometown. Irreconcilable differences caused the separation after three years and her father moved to Athens for work reasons (Security Head in a History Museum, Ancient Ruins). Ever since then, Luci and her mother relied on each other for everything. At age eight, her father learned she wanted to play the harp, so sent her one as a birthday present. She started taking lessons, and had her mind set for going to an arts school until she received her Hogwarts letter at age 11. Since age13, she has joined a few junior level orchestras, playing for them only during school breaks.

Opinionated, cheerful and straightforward, Julie Bellaire might not have be the person most would envision when they think of Slytherin House. A fact the young girl sees as not only prejudice but "kind of dumb." She's more than a happy demeanor and friendly disposition. Having shown determination, foresight, a strong work ethic and intelligence on more than one occasion. Julie fights almost every day to prove herself not only to others but to herself, for Julie Bellaire's toughest and harshest critic is her own self. Not quite quiet, but not quite social either, Posey likes observing people and keeping those she considers friends close, no matter how few of those there are. She’s fiercely protective of those she does care about, going so far as to write people off just because her friends don’t like them. When offered friendship, she can be skeptical, as she doesn’t believe that anything is that easy; everything has to be worked for. She’s also a firm believer in the idea that being friends with someone isn’t about how long you’ve been friends with them, but rather who was there when it counted. Not that she’s really had many to test this on. Once you’ve passed the friendship test you’ll be greeted with a high energy, playful goof of a girl. She can be seen leaping onto people’s backs (and fronts), climbing things she probably shouldn’t, and annoying you until you pay her some proper attention. It probably doesn’t help that she has extra long legs. Oops. She’s also a big fan of playful repetitive arm punches. Good luck.
You ought to mind your grubby fingers when Posey has sweets on her lap for she won’t hesitate to break them. If there’s anything that will put you on Posey’s radar, it’s colorful sweets. But more importantly, doughnuts. That’s probably the easiest way to her heart.

H I S T O R Y
Eleanor and Jessie Higgins met through mutual friends when they were nearly twenty years old. It was soon after that the two were engaged, married, and on their way to giving birth to their first child, Jesse. Overjoyed and smitten with their little boy, the couple began trying again for another child. A little over two years later, Posey was born. Growing up, Posey developed a very close bond with her shy brother, but somehow always felt different from the rest of her family. The only blonde in a family of four, Posey felt as though something were off but… never fully made any sort of real connection behind it. Her papa always told her it was because she was so special and so full of warmth, it turned her hair yellow like a sunflower. Growing up, Posey always had high energy for her family, jumping around like a little bean, climbing on people and things, she could hardly sit still.
As she grew, she noticed the way people treated her brother. They teased him and poked fun of him and pushed him around and Posey would have none of it. She pushed the older kids and kicked them in the shin quickly being labeled as a problem child by other parents and even her own mother. However, she never did it to anyone who wasn’t mean to her brother or any other kid, it was just that the parents never seemed to catch anyone else do anything wrong, so she was always stuck with the blame. She never minded though. As long as she knew what she was doing and her brother was okay, she couldn’t be bothered by what everyone else thought. With the exception of her mother.
Around the age of four, Posey was playing with her brother and a young girl and her friends approached the two of them. The young girl with poked fun at her brother while the other girls laughed. Posey put her arm around Jesse and told him to ignore the girls but they persisted. An anger rose in Posey that she had never quite felt before. The other girl was laughing one minute and the next moment, her ears stretched out in a strange way and all that came out of her mouth were loud moos.
S C H O O L__Y E A R S Year one - Posey did everything in her power to not make friends. And she did it well. She ignored everyone, kept to herself, sat in the very back corner of every class and never raised her hand once. In her mind, not putting in any effort and not developing any attachments was best for everyone because she wouldn't be here much longer. Her mum would come to her senses with her dad and brother's help. Unfortunately for her... no such thing happened, for she's back for her second year. During the summer, her plans with former mates fell through. They didn't reschedule plans, wouldn't take her phone calls, and refused to come to the door to meet her after a desperate attempt to rekindle their friendship. Heartbroken, she blamed Hogwarts and her magic for these issues, deciding that she no longer wanted the magic, only now taking interest in her studies to see if there was a way to make it all disappear.

↬ The Past ↫ History: Elliott’s story begins in 2059 when young witch Cora Applegate met law student Michael Patterson. Having just returned home from her final year as a student at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, the last thing young Cora expected was to fall head over heels in love. The couple continue to tell their children that it was love at first sight. With a courtship of 6 months, the couple were quick to marry and begin a family together. The first of their children, Leila, was born in March of 2060. A troublesome but intelligent child, she came with her challenges, as does any first child. A strain was put on the marriage but the couple remained strong.
Three years later, in June 2063, along came Sara. Much like her older sister, she was always troublesome but loyal to a fault and never once overstepped her mark. Cora and Michael had the beginnings of a beautiful family.
By the time Elliott came along in November 2082, the family had settled in the pretty seaside town of Eastbourne, East Sussex. The year of 2082 had been a rollercoaster for the family and so when the third child came into the world, the family rejoiced. Elliott had made a difficult time good again.
Her first three years had been much the same as that of her sisters, with little regard for much of anything. But on her fourth birthday, it became apparent to Michael that something was different about his youngest daughter. Though too young to show any real signs of magical abilities, she had an awareness that her sisters hadn’t possessed.
It came as a shock for Michael and his eldest daughters to discover that Cora was in fact, a witch. She had explained to them that she was afraid to tell Michael what she was in case he thought lower of her. When asked why Leila and Sara didn’t possess magical abilities, she had to explain that, unfortunately, they were what is known as Squibs.
And so Elliott became the first of the Patterson line to possess the ability to perform magic. Upon this discover, Michael and his girls embarked on a journey that would open their eyes to a whole new world that they couldn’t possible have imagined.
Of course, the family secret has remained that way since the truth was revealed.
For the next five years, Elliott and her family lived happily in their family home until eventually, they decided that a move was needed. At the age of eight, Elliott experienced her first big change as the family packed up their things and moved to the quaint market town of Crowland, a big different in scenery compared to the Eastbourne home that boasted seagulls awaking them each morning.
This move proved to be rather difficult for the family, Elliott in particular. Having left all of her friends behind, she struggled to come to terms with the new way of life. She began getting into trouble with her teachers at school and would often “forget” to complete her school work. Her parents were always arguing over what to do with her. With a toddler crawling around the place too, they struggled to cope.
One year after the big move, Elliott found herself running around the local park with a group of older children when they came across a river hidden behind a line of trees. The children had decided to try to jump across the river, a game they had told Elliott was perfectly harmless. But what was to follow would change all of their minds. The first of the children jumped across without a hitch, the second with only a stumble, and the third falling in the water. Elliott was up next. She had told the older children that she didn’t think this was a good idea and that she wanted to go home. They had told her she had to stay. And so her only option was to jump. A decision that she would come to regret. She took a run up to the river and attempted to jump short. What nobody had noticed was a rather large rock hidden underneath the water. Elliott was soon to discover this as she failed to clear the river and fell leg first against the rock. A sharp pain ran through up the whole right side of her body and she was unable to move without substantial pain. The first and oldest of the group ran to Elliott’s parents to get help.
Once at the hospital, they discovered that Elliott had broken her leg and damaged her hip. While the broken leg healed perfectly fine following an operation to repair it, the damaged hip was long term. She now has a large scar on her leg where the break had occurred and walks with a slight limp.
Though Elliott refuses to let this stop her from living her life to it’s fullest. While this experience changed everything for the then eight year old, she remained as outgoing as ever.
The years between her accident and beginning her first year at Hogwarts were as normal as could possibly be. Her life has consisted of holidays to Brighton and Eastbourne and attending school regularly. Education:

The story began in 2070 when Ivan Salim, who was still a student of Columbia Business School was being set up by a cousin to Claudia Wu, a Singaporean girl who had just started her first year in Columbia Law. At first Claudia was a little bit skeptical with Ivan due to his rich background and their first date was.. Well, kind of meh. But Ivan was persistent and decided to ask her out again. Later on, they started dating until Ivan proposed to Claudia on her graduation day. They had a huge wedding ceremony in Bali on August 2075.
Diandra was born on November 2079, after her parents had been trying to have a child for years. As an only child from a wealthy family, she was loved and spoiled very much by both of her parents and grandparents. Ever since young, she was introduced to preppy lifestlyle and just like any other Asian rich family, she was signed up to ballet and violin (even though she ended up dropping ballet in primary school and chose flute instead).
Her parents wanted her to go to the best school, that's why their family later resided in Singapore instead of Jakarta. Diandra then went to Methodist Girls' School. When she was 7 years old, she then showed her magical ability during her PE class. Later, a Japanese woman named Sakura Yamamoto then came to their family and said that Diandra had been accepted to Mahoutokoro School of Magic. Her parents refused to send her there due to her young age, so then they had a deal to let her go to that school when she turned eleven. Sakura then sent a private tutor to teach Diandra some wizardry stuffs.

Hanna was the first child of Adrian and Elyde Newton, born in Oxford England on February 20th, 2083. As part of the Newton family she was often surrounded by family - her 13 aunts and uncles, 7 great aunts and uncles, and 9 cousins (and counting). She was joined three years later with a sister Lena, four years later with Mikayla, four more years with Elsie, and three years after with a baby brother, Oliver. Growing up she happily took on the role of Older Sister. She took care of her younger siblings. She listened to Lena’s problems and worries, often covered for Mikayla’s naughtiness, and even though Elsie and Oliver were born whilst she was away at Hogwarts, thus missing much of their development, she made sure they were both cuddled, happy, clothed, and fed to help her parents out.
She was first enrolled into ballet at age four where she flourished. Having been getting under the adults feet with twirling, leaping, and kicking, her parents figured it would be a good outlet for her artistic energy. For the seven pre-Hogwarts years, she attended four weekly lessons, performed in as many shows as she could, basically living and breathing dance. Struggling very much after first starting at Hogwarts, and no longer having the strict dance routine and classes to attend, she felt rather lost and out of sorts. Practicing by herself was what she did at home, and was able to do at Hogwarts, but she lacked a teacher. After returning home following the first year, she didn’t want to go back. She missed dance. It was only after meeting with her teacher and being told she could participate in all of the summer and Christmas holiday classes, and even perform, that she decided she did like Hogwarts and wouldn’t want to miss out. Now, Hanna practices her dancing through the castle - often in unused classrooms, or the music room, polishing all of the moves she learnt in the holidays, at least four nights a week.
Academically, and living up to the intelligent and creativity of Ravenclaw, Hanna loves learning. Even if it’s Divination, which she doesn’t believe in. Her favourite subjects, right from first lesson, are Potions, Herbology, and Transfiguration. Speaking of Potions, Hanna spent time pre-Hogwarts under the home-teaching of her family, particularly former Potioneer at Hogwarts - her Great Uncle Art. Having retired from working, and spending the majority of his time caring for his grandchildren (Liesel and Orville) Art offered his teachings to his family. Hanna, the oldest of all her cousins, embraced the learning of magic. She attended a local muggle school during the day, and after school whilst her parents were at work, she would go back to Gruncle Art’s house and learn the ways of Magic.
Not only loving Dance of all kinds, Hanna enjoys playing Quidditch. Letting out her energy playing Beater was always fun, but she was offered the position of Chaser on the Ravenclaw team. She played during her third and fourth year.

Fiona could see the connection as it happened and she couldn't help but grin. It was the change in expression, really. In her first year at Hogwarts, she was very pleased to meet a few of her future housemates while in Flourish and Blotts getting her school books. She was excited to be sorted into Slytherin, as her father had been. Her mother was a Ravenclaw, so that would have been okay too. She did fairly well in the Charms Challenge.
In her sixth year, she has happily reconnected with some of her old friends including/especially Vivian and Sky. She decided to try out for the Quidditch team, and made it as a Chaser. She was a bit surprised, as she felt that she was strongest as a Beater due to her background with tennis, but she is still just as happy. She wrote to her family, and received her new Moonbrusher soon after. For Valentine's Day, Kye answered an anonymous Valentine's date request (with the help of Skylar) and found out it was Ronan of all people! Quite awkward showing up and someone else was already there! After that, his mood seemed to get even worse, particularly his throwing a lemon at Professor Noble. Kye attended the job fair in March, and had her work cut out for her as she had to decide what exactly she wanted to major in, and what department she felt best suited for. She dealt with being possessed a couple of different times, and had a tough bit of time after returning from Dufftown, but she moved past it and enjoyed camping with her friends before returning for her final year! In her Seventh year, Kye happily took her place as #1 Chaser on the Slytherin Quidditch Team again. She helped Rylee in the Room of Requirement with some prankful hexes and jinxes, and had a blast at the pep rally.

Kei is, in all definitions of the word, soft. He is a bleeding heart, wanting to help anyone he sees in need of it - even if it gets him into trouble, or if he gets in over his head. His want to help and his introvertedness clash - wanting to help someone, but being too drained or too anxious to approach. History:
Kei was adopted by his aunt and uncle after his parents realized that they just couldn't afford to raise a child in their living conditions. His aunt and adopted mother, Beverly, suggested raising Kei in London, her own childhood home, and it was agreed on. He's lived in London ever since.

[ Disclaimer! Sylvie was born out of a running joke on a particularly weak night and some enabling from a certain user (ahem, ahem, Erik, ahem). Her entire history was created to be rather amusing and fanciful because I never dreamed this wild child would ever make it onto SS. I'm new to Gryffindor and I'm (apparently, I only just noticed this) new to a character who hasn't had some sort of childhood trauma and I'm looking forward to the challenge of making her feel like a real person and not a 2D poster child of what my idea of Gryffindor is. George and Paloma Norcott were sixteen years old when they met as Wasriel491 and Amolap_G. They both enjoyed playing on ancient World of Warcraft servers, roughing it on content that people no longer bothered with in the 2060's. Their love of this vintage old video game was what brought them together, and continued to play a major role in their relationship for years to come. From a Warcraft themed first date (a marathon of all the coolest raids, with pizza because who plays video games without pizza) to a Warcraft themed wedding (officiated by Thrall, the make up and time needed to paint the paid actor green had cost more than the wedding cake), it came as no surprised to the two that they would name their first child (and any subsequent children) after a character from their favourite game. On a particularly chilly November morning, icy winds shrieking outside the East London hospital as if validating their choice of name, Sylvanas Lyra Norcott was born, named after two extraordinary (fictional) women: an Azerothian legend and the girl who never backed down.
Sylvie grew up an only child to parents whose routine rarely changed. Before she was old enough for school she'd be dropped off at Grandma Alexandra's in the morning as her parents would head out to work. George Norcott was in charge of user manuals at a local construction company, and Paloma Norcott was a nurse at the local children's hospital. Other than a brief stint at the work kindergarten offered at the hospital, Sylvie didn't enter a proper schooling system until first grade. The expulsion letter from the kindergarten is proudly up on the Sylvie Wall at home, along with all her embarrassing baby pictures, an x-ray from that time she fell off a bench and dislocated her jaw and, obviously, her letter from Hogwarts.
Sylvie was raised lovingly, taught to believe in wonders and magic and fantasy. The world could be anything she wanted it to be, role playing was encouraged and game nights were a constant in their house. Sylvie herself joined the legendary Warcraft game when she was eight years old seven and three quarters, if you count the trial version, with some supervision and a promise for her to stick to the simple objectives of the game. Dinner talk would consist of five minutes on school life, ten minutes on friends and then the rest of the time on games and comic books and awe inspiring fictional stories. Proper books had been a struggle for Sylvie, who found it difficult to concentrate for more than a few minutes on words printed on real paper, but they overcame that with audiobooks pretty early on.
Her first sign of magic happened when she was five years old. Her mother had baked a cake that she wasn't supposed to touch because the cake was for the guests. The cake never made it to the guests, the lock on the fridge door completely shattered and little pigtailed Sylvie was found sitting on the floor with her legs crossed, mouth covered in chocolate as she happily stuffed her face. As inexplicable as the incident was, no further signs of magic happened for two entire years, only reappearing while she was listening to the audio version of The Amber Spyglass for the first time. [ SPOILER ALERT FOR THE ENDING OF THIS BOOK, BEWARE ] An optimist by nature, seven year old Sylvie hadn't been prepared for the sad ending of the trilogy that had given her her middle name. Upset and angry at the book for betraying her this way, all the gadgetry she'd been listening with blew up in her hands. After that, she would experience a display of magical prowess every few months, usually on a smaller scale with much less violent results. They dismissed it all as clumsiness, though Sylvie was discreetly forbidden from using the more expensive gaming consoles. Just in case.
When her Hogwarts letter arrived, all three of them were convinced some of their online friends had come up with an extremely elaborate joke. A magical school?? A cat, a frog or an owl?! Wands??? Nah, not the Norcotts. They wouldn't be fooled by such a practical joke. They pinned the lovely letter up and never looked at it again until a rather strange person showed up at their doorstep a few months later with a wand of his own and very unbelievable tale. While it took George and Paloma a little longer to accept that magic is real, eleven year old Sylvanas Lyra was ABSOLUTELY ready to accept this new belief that she was a WITCH who was going to go to WITCH SCHOOL and learn MAGIC and HAVE A WAND?? Of her OWN???!?!?? Yup, not hard to accept. Very easy, in fact. SUPER.
As one can imagine, their first visit to Diagon Alley lasted seven hours. All was well with the Norcotts, and Sylvie was getting ready to go.

Sylvie started out at Hogwarts a fireball. Take any eleven year old who grew up dreaming of wonders and put them in a school where all these wonders are normal?! A dream come true doesn't even come close. From running around between classes waving her wand at people to meeting friends who've been magical their entire lives, Sylvie was on a warpath to never slow down ever in her life.
However, school is school and homework is homework, and by the time Valentine's Day rolled around she was very much less into writing up essays on the properties of bezoars and way more excited by the people around her. Forming a fast bond with one "always magical" boy called Théobore, his cousin Charlotte who came up with the name and many more, for the first time in her life Sylvie felt like she'd finally found people who were like her. In muggle school she'd always been the nerdy girl with the Horde t-shirts who bit people's arms if they messed with her and who couldn't do maths. Here, at Hogwarts, no one cared about maths OR science and she didn't need to bite anyone because everyone was so nice!
With the success of her first year under her belt, Sylvie returned with renewed energies for her second and third years, and she was delighted to find it all much of the same. Sure, Hogwarts was trying to kill them and sure, people were being seriously injured and common rooms were destroyed and chaos happened. At times Sylvie had found herself huddled on her with her knees to her chest, the curtains drawn to hide her and her stupid fear. It was so much better to be scared at Hogwarts, than to live a boring life without having known that Hogwarts even existed. She loved it here, she LOVED being a witch and no curse or freaky portal or anything would stop her. She is SYLVANAS NORCOTT after all, banshee queen (not your banshees, other banshees, go read up on Warcraft banshees you ignorant magical people, honestly), archer extra-ordinaire and no one, BY THRALL NO ONE would get her down. ^____^

At 10:25 in the morning, Jacen Riley Reed was born on the 31st of March, 2077 in Fukasawa, Setagaya-ku, Japan to Ryden Reed, an English Pureblood Wizard of Newcastle, and MaiyaTamazaki-Reed, a Half-Blood Witch of Setagaya. Jace has an older brother named Jakub, or Jake, and is also a Half-Blood Wizard who goes to Mahoutokoro School of Magic in Japan. Albeit the frequent arguments that ensue between the adults, Ryden and Maiya are still married. To resolve one of their many conjugal problems, Ryden and Maiya decided to part physically. The act was made in good faith to avoid their option to divorce. This has also allowed them to pursue their careers in Great Britain and Japan separately.
Ryden is a Diplomatic Relations Officer for the International Confederation of Wizards, while Maiya is a businesswoman and potioneer in her hometown. Ryden finished his wizard schooling in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry under the house of Ravenclaw and pursued a degree in Diplomatic Relations in the Wizarding University of Ambleside. Maiya went to Mahoutokoro School of Magic in Japan for her basic magical education and pursued a degree in Advanced Potions in the same university as Ryden wherein they first met.
Mid-way through their university education, Maiya got pregnant with Ryden’s child—Jakub, and they decided to marry to make their firstborn legitimate. While the two young parents continued their education, Jakub stayed with his paternal grandparents in Newcastle. The whole family then moved to Japan shortly after Ryden and Maiya graduated from University. When Jakub turned seven, Jacen was born to the Reed family.
Jacen, ever since infancy, was a very quiet boy. He rarely makes a sound, and his cries would usually be just whimpers. He was already three years old when his parents noticed that the boy’s ability to speak was underdeveloped. Maiya, being half-blood, wanted her youngest son to be treated as normal as possible, thus young Jacen was sent to a muggle Speech Pathologist in Japan. The three-year-old went into therapy and developed a knack for hitting things since collisions make loud sounds. His doctor advised his parents to expose their son to sports so that it could help speed up his speech development. When Jacen turned four years old, his maternal grandfather brought him to Nihon Gakuen Kendo Class and made him try out Kendo. Jacen quickly adapted to the activity and showed great interest in it. The boy’s parents supported him from day one to the present, as the sport made their son active, and sociable. After long exposures in the dojo, Jacen was able to center his developing magical energies within him, gave his spirit a voice, enabling him to finally talk properly.
A rift developed between his parents shortly after Jacen turned seven, and his parents decided to split locations. Maiya decided to stay in Japan to look after her business, and Jakub decided to stay as well with his mother to continue his education at Mahoutokoro School of Magic. Jace started his magical schooling at Mahoutokoro as a day student, and continued his secondary schooling at Hogwarts; a decision which was heavily influenced by Ryden’s experience as a Diplomatic Officer, as well as the full support of his former boss, Charles Hollingberry. Japan’s Department Head for their International Cooperation Division, Mr. Hollingberry, happened to have half-Japanese children who graduated from Hogwarts.
