Gaston is a shy, sensitive soul who is uncomfortable with conflict and being in the spotlight. He’s the type who would rather spend an evening alone with his cat and a good book than in a crowd of people. He gets very nervous around people he doesn't know or that he thinks don't like him and rarely speaks unless spoken to first, out of fear of saying the wrong thing and causing conflict. Gaston is a compassionate person who is generous with second chances and pays special attention to those who have been bullied or lack confidence. Although normally tolerant, he becomes extremely judgmental toward those who fall short of his moral standards, especially when he knows they can do better. He's very expressive with his emotions, especially when sad or frightened, but despite that, he's hardly ever angry. It takes a lot to set him off, but he can be quite dangerous when provoked. Early Life
Gaston is the only child of Raoul and Marceline Marchand. He started exhibiting signs of magic at an early age, and his muggle parents didn’t know what to think of it. At first they thought he was just accident-prone, but as Gaston’s magical mishaps became more frequent, they started to wonder if he was doing it on purpose. After Gaston was expelled from muggle school at age 7 for accidentally injuring a classmate who was bullying him, his parents took him to renowned French psychiatrist Dr. Severin Javert, who treated Gaston like a bad kid and recommended keeping him in isolation until he learned to control his “destructive tendencies”. For the next four years of his life, the only human interaction Gaston was allowed was with his family or Dr. Javert. The one bright spot in his life at that time was Dr. Javert's receptionist, Manon Evremonde. Mlle. Evremonde, a young witch working her way through university, tried to undo Dr. Javert's damage by encouraging Gaston to use his magic and wrote to her father (the Charms professor at Beauxbatons) asking him to intervene on Gaston's behalf.
Beauxbatons
The happiest day of Gaston's life was when Professor Evremonde came to speak to his parents. Evremonde tried to explain how dangerous it was to supress a young wizard's powers, but he ended up in a heated argument with Gaston's father. Gaston felt vindicated when he learned he was a wizard and quickly became attached to Professor Evremonde. He was excited to go to Beauxbatons and be around other young wizards/witches, but when he actually got to school, he found it wasn’t what he’d expected. The years he spent in isolation made it hard for him to relate to his classmates, and he gained a reputation for being odd.
After a humiliating sorting,Gaston was placed into house Papillonlise. He picked up on most aspects of magic fairly quickly and excelled in his studies (his strongest subjects being Charms, Astronomy, and Transfiguration). He was most often found in the library and was happy to help his classmates with their homework. That was how he met his best friend, Lucien Chevallier, during his second year. Gaston was in the library when he overheard him complaining about flunking Charms and offered to help. Lucien, who was two years ahead of Gaston, was impressed
The summer after his second year, Gaston’s mother left a pot unattended on the stove and it caught fire. Thinking quickly, Gaston grabbed the burning pot and took it outside. He saved his home from burning down, but his arm was badly burned in the process. This incident gave him an irrational fear of fire that he still has to this day and caused him to withdraw from social situations. Gaston’s newfound fear of fire had a habit of showing up at the worst time. Whenever his classes involved even the remote possibility of fire, he would panic; his Potions grade suffered the most.
Gaston did gain some popularity in his later Beauxbatons years when he formed a punk rock band called WerewolfSnout with classmates Lucien Chevallier (lead vocals), Mathilde Moreau (keyboard, backing vocals), and twins Armand and Edmond Fontaine (guitars). In addition to playing the drums, he also wrote nearly all of the band’s songs. Everyone was surprised to learn that mild-mannered Gaston could write such angry songs! The band played gigs during the summer holidays to make a few galleons on the side, but as members started graduating, the band eventually broke up. In the summer of 2091,WerewolfSnout reformed, this time with the addition of Lucien and Mathilde's adopted son Jerome, and recorded their first album consisting entirely of songs written by Gaston during his first year teaching at Hogwarts.
Wizarding University & Pre-Hogwarts Employment
After graduation, Gaston took a job as a mechanic to pay his way through wizarding university, where he majored in Charms Development, and discovered a passion for classic cars. He was offered a position as a charms developer in the Accidents and Catastrophes Department of the French Ministry of Magic straight out of university, but Gaston was unhappy in his new job. The high expectations of his boss and the fast-paced work environment were so stressful that he considered quitting... until he met Edeline Duval, a Division Head in the same department. Mlle. Duval was kind and patient with Gaston at a time when no one else in the department was, and he soon fell in love with her; the two dated for over a year. Gaston even planned to marry Edeline, but three days before the proposal, she was offered a position as a department head for the Russian Ministry of Magic. Gaston told her to take the job, and the relationship ended soon after.
After Edeline's departure, Gaston realized there was nothing left for him at the Ministry, so he was happy when his former Charms teacher invited him to come back to Beauxbatons as a teaching assistant. His first three terms teaching went without incident, but that changed with the arrival of new COMC professor Dawrin Walden in 2085. Gaston and Walden immediately clashed, partly due to Gaston's girlfriend dumping him for the more handsome Walden. The following term, Walden brought on a young teaching assistant named Eleanore Baudelaire. Mlle. Baudelaire befriended Gaston and the pair started dating, but the budding romance was cut short on April 15, 2087. Walden tried to teach a class with an actual dragon as a teaching aid, but the creature escaped and attacked, killing four people including Mlle. Baudelaire. Gaston was teaching a class at the time and was persuaded by Prof. Evremonde to stay with his students instead of joining the group fighting the dragon. He regrets the decision and ot his day still blames himself for Baudelaire's death.
After the attack, Gaston was given a leave of absence for the remainder of the term. He seriously considered resigning but ultimately returned for three more terms, though Beauxbatons stopped feeling like home to him after the attack. When he heard Hogwarts was looking for a new Charms professor, he (at Prof. Evremonde's urging) applied and packed his bags for Scotland.
Hogwarts
Gaston's first year at Hogwarts got off to a rocky start. He missed his home and was not as well-liked by the students and staff as he'd hoped to be. He hadn't been at the school long when Miffy attacked him with flying knives in the kitchens; later in the term, Peeves caused him to fall down the moving staircase. The poltergeists' attacks made Gaston seriously consider resigning, and he probably would've had he not met the love of his life, Rosalyn Newton. After may months of keeping his feelings secret, he accidentally told her in a very awkward way. He thought he'd scared her away forever with the revelation, and it devastated him, but to his surprise Rosalyn agreed to give him a chance after the term ended.
Gaston's second year at Hogwarts started off much better than his first. He was a little less nervous around his colleagues and students, his realtionship with Rosalyn was taking off, and his band's debut album had become a hit. An international tour was announced, and he was faced with a difficult choice: join the tour and leave his love behind or quit the band and stay at Hogwarts. He ultimately chose to stay but soon wondered if he'd made the wrong choice. The appearance of the portal and the monster it contained reminded him a little too much of the dragon attack years ago and had him worried that history would repeat itself, and the end-of-term feast made him realize that he still wasn't as well-liked as eh thought he'd be after two years at Hogwarts. It was only his engagement to Rosalyn and the unexpected offer of Gryffindor Head of House that persuaded him to stay.
That summer, Gaston returned to France to introduce his fiancee to his parents, but the meeting didn't go according to plan. His father disapproved of the engagement, and an argument ensued, resulting in Gaston cutting off all contact with his father (and by extension his mother too). The incident left him feeling confused and betrayed, and this paired with his doubt in his ability to engage the Gryffindors he was now in charge of had him returning to Hogwarts sad unsure who to trust. This mood lasted for the better part of the term, growing progressively worse with his distaste for the IMPS competition. It was only as the term drew to a close that he started to bounce back.
Gaston married Rosalyn on 11 July 2093 in Paris, France. Two years later, his lifelong dream of becoming a father finally came true on December 23, 2094 when his daughter, Desiree Yvette Marchand was born. For the second half of the 2094-95 term, he found himself struggling to balance work and home, often going without food and/or sleep to make time to visit his family. The strain (and the disastrous events of the Dufftown field trip late in the term) made him consider resigning to spend more time with his daughter, but in the end he decided against it because he still cared for his students as if they were his own children too.
By the 2095-96 term, Gaston was learning to balance his work and home life without running himself ragged in the process. He was happy with his roles as father and professor until a horde of Inferi attacked the school. In the fight to defend the school’s entrance hall, he sustained injuries to his face, hands, and leg. When the battle ended, Gaston refused treatment for his injuries until every other person in the school had been treated and, fearing he would lose control of his emotions and frighten the students if he stayed in the hospital wing, he opted to go to St.Mungo’s instead. The delay in treatment complicated his injuries and left him with deep scars across half his face and blindness in his right eye. The physical and emotional toll of the Inferi left Gaston fearful for his own life and disillusioned with Hogwarts; he intended to resign at the end of the term… were it not for his daughter. She was frightened of his scars and no longer recognized him as her father. Gaston hated scaring his beloved Desiree, so believing the best thing he could do for his daughter was stay away from her, he returned to Hogwarts.

Background
Harvey is a Pureblood. He has three older sisters - Kaylie, Isabella and Teresa. All three of them, like his mother, Eva, were Slytherins. His father, Oliver, was Ravenclaw, and before Harvey's birth he was a professional Quidditch player. Since Harvey was a bit of a surprise (all of his sisters have already graduated Hogwarts), by the time he was born his father had already retired, though he still trains some teams.
Harvey loves everything related to Muggles - his sisters, Isabella and Teresa, brought back some games (boardgames, cards etc.) over their holidays, which they played with Muggleborn friends at Hogwarts, which is how Harvey's fascination started. His eldest sister, Kaylie, and his mother do not approve (though they wouldn't admit it if you asked).
He always felt like the odd one out in his family (most of them Slytherins, which he knew he wouldn't fit into from the moment he learned of the houses), and his father a Quidditch player (Harvey is terrified of heights). This might be a contributing reason to his pursuit of interests his family doesn't quite understand.
If he's going to be the odd one out, he might as well own it, right?
History and Personality - more detail
Harvey has greatly bonded with his paternal grandparents, Daniel and Wendy Jarvis, both of whom were also Ravenclaws. They were both historians, now retired, but have rediscovered their passion for it when Harvey began showing an interest in Muggles. Harvey spends most of every holiday with them (and hopes to do so even when he's at Hogwarts), and together they discover and share facts. They all like facts. And, it turns out, Muggle electronics and baking, much to Harvey's Mum's confusion.
Harvey likes doing exactly what he knows he shouldn't. This could be in part to get attention - he never had much in common with his Mum, and even though he knows she loves him, he feels that exasperating her at least gives them a reason to talk (and argue, which, in Harvey's view, is almost the same thing, having grown up with three sisters).
Despite his fear of heights, Harvey and his father, Oliver, have bonded over their love for stories, magical and Muggle alike (none of his sisters indulge in the imaginary that much).
Harvey has always looked forward to Hogwarts, though he's a bit worried about the shellwork, as he has always felt that books were his forte, really. He is determined to prove himself, though (he hopes this is more of a thirst for knowledge than a streak of Slytherin ambition coming through here).

Henry is an exceptionally friendly and outgoing person, pretty much living by the motto, "A stranger is just a friend you haven't yet met." He can often be quite talkative and has no problem initiating conversation. He is very loyal to those he is closest to and he tends to believe the best in people, sometimes to the point of naivety. He is also fairly polite and respectful, but he does make sure to leave room for fun.
Nearly always full of energy, Henry often has a difficult time sitting still and cannot always focus for long on things that do not hold his attention. He can be very motivated, however, especially with something he is interested in and he sets his mind to accomplish it. He tends to be active, preferring to be outdoors and engaging in more physical activities, such as sports, rather than passive ones, like reading.
{history}
Henry is the second child and only son born to muggleborn parents, Matthew and Eloise Whittebrook. There is a 16 year age difference between him and his sister as just as his parents were certain they couldn't have any more children, Henry came along to surprise them. Though he was doted on by his much older sister, Henry felt somewhat lonely as a young child, eager to have friends his age as he didn't have any siblings close to his own age. His parents enrolled him into many extra-curricular activities to help him interact with peers, and he went to a muggle elementary school. Having muggleborn parents, his house had many muggle commodities as well as magical ones, giving him the feeling of having the best of both worlds.
Coming from a sports-centered family, it probably doesn't surprise those who know him best to know how much he is into athletics. Though bouncing balls were among his favorite toys from a young age, his sister had been a professional Quidditch player for years, someone he very much looks up to, and she taught him much about the sport. He attended many Quidditch camps over the years and with the assistance of his own focused training, recently plays for England's U17 summer league as chaser. His father also owns one of the professional Gobstones teams, and while he does enjoy that game too, it doesn't quite compare to Quidditch.
As Henry headed to Hogwarts his first year, he was certain he would be sorted into Hufflepuff just like his parents and his sister before him. He is a very proud badger, though he is happy to say he has friends in all the houses because they are all just as great. Though he probably wouldn't admit to many about how homesick he was at first, he soon found Hogwarts to be a great home away from home.

Personality: Generally Laurel is by nature ambitious but never ruthless. She is usually calm, serious, loyal, focused but also loving, empathic and wise. Has never taken on the big leading role in a group, she follows the crowd but not if it will lead to danger or reckless stupidity. As any slytherin she has a good sense of selfperservation and get's herself out of the mix before things go super south. She does though usually make sure to get help for those she has left. Laurel has always liked trying new things and has learned the hard way that not all ideas should be tested, evidenced by some st mungos visits in her youth for broken limbs and wounds. Before Hogwarts:
Laurel was born after lunch time on the 4th of March 2059 to Virginia and Victor Vance. She unexpectedly came to the world when the family were visiting the muggle zoo in London near the ape cages. Causing quite an happening amongst the zoo visitors but it all went well. Laurel is the youngest of three children and also the only girl so she naturally got a lot of attention from her parents, must from her mother. Her elder twin brothers were both out-going, outdoorsy, energetic, bold and sometimes even headstrong growing up while Laurel had inherited the more calm, serious but also the ambitious and loyal Vance family trait. She liked a healthy mix of physical outdoor activities like quidditch and running but she also grown interested in reading a lot about myths and legends and fantasy. Learned early that she was good at sensing moods and also predicting things only a seer would know about the future. Laurel baffled her parents when she around the age of 8 predicted how a relative would die.
The uncannily correct prediction caused her parents to get in touch with St Mungos and with other friends and family to learn more about children with an believed inner eye. She even got to exchange letters with a then known seer near Oxford where they lived. Her first show of magic came around 8 years too when her brothers hoisted her up for fun in the families backyard flag pole. The line burst but instead of plummeting down to the ground and sustaining life threatening injuries she landed unscathed on her own two feet.
Time at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry:
At Hogwarts she was sorted into Slytherin house to her siblings big surprise since they expected her to be sorted into Gryffindor like them. She used her years at Hogwarts to grow on her love for Divination and polish her prediction skills to become more accurate even if divination isn't an exact art in itself. Laurel also realized that she had good apt for making potions while she was in her own mind pretty useless at transfiguration and later also at numbers. When it came to friends she was never one to take the first step. Never a leader. Laurel liked following the crowd unless it lead to stupid danger. Like the time when some of her friends wanted to pull a prank on the caretaker which backfired of course making all their ears grow long as bunnies. It ended with a detention and a hospital wing visit while Laurel just got told to try and stop her friends and not let them do stupid pranks. The friendships she kindled with other students Laurel cherished and built on. She was a loving and loyal friend even if she had her quirks with making predictions and wanting to drink a lot of tea at odd hours and interest in perfume.
Making predictions and generally being a bit quirky wasn't always appreciated so she tended to get bullied and stamped as weird by her peers and housemates. It started to get more intense in her teenage years from 4th year and onwards. For a growing girl's self esteem it wasn't exactly healthy. When you don't feel good you usually turn to your elder siblings for assistance, but Laurel chose to turn to her elder cousin Justin first for advice since he was older and a former Slytherin himself. They had always bonded really well and had had many fun playtimes over the years.
Laurel graduated from Hogwarts with good grades in most of the subjects she sat OWL & NEWT exams for. Surprising herself with actually not failing transfiguration but managing an E which she had thought was impossible at the start of even dream of. She had built a up a decent self esteem and looked forward to taking university classes.
University and beyond:
Laurel enrolled herself at the nearest magical university from Oxford where she gained the degrees she wanted in Divination and Potions especailly and got her first real kiss from a guy that she dated but it didn't last. After university she applied and got accepted to work in a muggle psychic shop where she learned the trade from a seer who later sadly turned out to be nothing but a big old fraud. After leaving the psychic shop business Laurel engrossed herself in divination studies full time for a few years before she applied to the ministry's Mysteries department and got employed as an unspeakable for the hall of prophesies. She stayed there for almost 10 years before she got asked by Hogwarts headmaster Mohammed Sahnoun if she was interested in coming to the school and teach Divination to the next generations of witches and wizards. After thought and careful scrying in her crystal ball Laurel accepted the job proposal. So that's where the 30 something single seer will be found from September 1st, inspiring the youth.

If his monotone voice doesn't give away his personality, his unwavering uninterested eyes just might. At first glance, the boy seems to care about nothing and no one, but those closest to him know better. In all honesty, Hazel is a true hufflepuff. He’s fiercely loyal to those he cares for, kind beyond what anyone would expect of him. He doesn’t expect anything of anyone, and is constantly surprised when people stick around or continue to talk to him despite his usual lack of interest.
As far as fitting into Hufflepuff goes, Hazel isn’t your typical hufflepuff. There’s nothing Hufflepuff in his appearance, nor his general attitude. However, he never means to upset anyone close to him. But when he does, it upsets him almost twice as much as it’s upset them. Honestly, who knows how the boy has friends. He’s hard to reach on a personal level, he rarely ever shares anything personal. His home life is a mystery to all around him. But somehow… some people stick around. Grace Haddox [mother] - There isn't really a relationship here. There aren't any memories for him to reminisce on just stories Hattie has shared with him. But even those are fuzzy and unfamiliar. He clings to inanimate objects that once belonged to her as the closest thing he has to her. Hattie Haddox [sister] - once upon a time these two were inseparable. She took on the mother role after they ran away, but as soon as they found a resemblance of a home with the group in manchester, things slowly started to change. Hattie grew up into someone Hazel hardly recognized. Currently, he does his best to avoid her except for when he thinks she's in danger or in need of his advice. Matthew Hobbs [best friend, roommate] - This is a pretty complicated relationship for two people who claim to be best friends. There isn’t a lot of communication and it’s only getting worse it seems. After letting Matthew in on a bit of his home life, Hazel only feels more distant from the other boy and is actually creating the distance himself. Lucy Potts [best friend] - Lucy Potts is something of a mystery to Hazel. Her constant persistence with their friendship and the way she shows him when other people aren’t doing right by him astounds him. She’s the only person he allows to paint his nails other than himself. Aslan Evans [friend, crush] - The most intriguing girl Hazel has ever met, which caused the girl to be the object of his infatuation. She knows of some of his history and he has no intention of letting her in on more of it. He isn’t really sure how he feels about her studying him, but hasn’t voiced otherwise. The two have shared a kiss or two, and she even attempted to teach him how to kiss. He hasn’t since brought it up, but he’s considered it. Her bright and bubbly personality is something Hazel has rarely seen, let alone allowed to stick around. He admires her positive outlook, even if he finds it a bit foolish most of the time. She took him to the beach for the first time ever the summer before his sixth year. Cerys [next in line] - Hazel's first real crush, next in line to run the family business from one side. Hazel looks up to her, he even adopted some of her attitude into his own personality. Dixon [next in line] - the only person that really scares Hazel, even if he's just trying to look out for him Gretel & Mort [mother & father figures] - Hardly parents or able to even pretend like they are, these two only care for themselves and the way that they can shape Hazel and Hattie into what they want. They’ve already done a number on Hattie, and soon enough they’re positive they’ll get Hazel to cooperate just as nicely. Unfortunately for them, Hazel has other plans. For the most part, Hazel avoids them or sticks close to Cerys as he knows they keep their distance from her. He used to believe they were these great people and he was lucky to have them. But after growing up and learning a thing or two, he knows better.
H I S T O R Y
Hazel was one of the unlucky few to be born into the world without a mother or a father. While his mother passed away in childbirth, the father was unknown to all, perhaps even to Hazel’s mother. However, Hazel’s mum was not a stupid woman. She updated her will just a few months before she was to give birth. In this update, it was stated that her boyfriend, Fitz, was to receive full custody of her children if anything were to happen to her.
After some time, things... were not working out. Fitz wasn't cut out to take care of children he'd never really wanted to begin with. Things only got worse as time went on. He stopped caring and they were neglected among other things. This led the children to seek help elsewhere. As they both knew very few people it was no surprised that they wandered over to their neighbors house every now and again. She fed them cookies and after a while entire meals. They kids would sneak out of Fitz' and their moms place to see her.
But this couldn't last forever. And it didn't. After a while the old woman grew sick and eventually she was taken away in an ambulance, never seen again. This didn't sit well with Hattie. So she packed a small bag, stole some money out of Fitz savings jar and took off with her little brother. They rode trains until they couldn't afford it anymore.
The two young kids wandered around a train station until they were approached by a couple. Hattie landed quite an impression with the two, and they didn't give much of a choice on taking the kids in. And it only got more complicated from there.
They were brought home and introduced to a large family. No one was related, but everyone relied on each other as if they were. But as with all families, they were far from perfect. Some family members wanted to undermine and overthrow the others. And that's where the children came in.

Aoife was born and raised in a small village in Ireland where she has lived with her mother and father in the same house for her entire life. She has a Pureblood heritage, and her parents both went to Hogwarts where they met. Her mother was a Gryffindor and father, a Ravenclaw. She was an only child until recently when her baby brother, Oisín, was born. Aoife resented her parents throughout the entire pregnancy, and developed quite an attitude, but after he was born and she held him for the first time, she fell completely in love more than she ever has before. Even more than Donny Simmons from Primary School. Her parents had always placed Aoife on a pedestal before Oisín was born, and gave her everything she wanted. They pushed her academically, and got her into modelling from a young age, although she isn't sure if she wants to do it forever. Since recently, Aoife has become a bit distant from her parents since they have been busy with the baby, but coming to Hogwarts to learn witchy ways has been a hell of a good distraction.
Aoife is a character full of pride, sometimes mistaken for self-obsession. As well as this, she also prides herself in knowing everyone's business. Even though her hair is flat, it's STILL FULL OF SECRETS. Aoife is very sociable and doesn't find it difficult to make friends with people who she finds deserves that title. Kane has bright blonde hair that he SWEARS is not highlighted (but totally is). He usually just rolls right out of bed, creating a messy bed head look. He is a bit tall for his age and sort of skinny, but with strangely small feet. His teeth came in naturally straight, sparing him the humiliation of muggle braces.
As much as he hates to admit it, he's a walking California stereotype - high top sneakers, henley shirts layered on top of one another, and tons of leather bracelets are staples in his wardrobe. He loves to take pride in his appearance and has a secret stash of beauty potions in his trunk. He is trying to get a jump on the puberty acne before it actually becomes a problem.
Personality:
Kane is the textbook definition of middle child syndrome. Always wanting to impress everyone (especially his brother) he is loud, outgoing, and often reckless. School is definitely NOT his favorite thing, but after nearly failing his first semester at Ilvermorny, he is trying really REALLY hard to put more work into his studies. After the birth of his younger sister and brother, he has tried to be more responsible to be a role model to them, like his brother is a role model to him. He especially feels protective over his sister Chloe, knowing how scary the world can be for a girl, and has vowed to hate every boy she ever dates until the end of time.
Due to his ADHD, he often has a desire to start a bunch of hobbies and projects that he loses interest in very quickly because he can't focus on them very well. Throughout the years he has tried all sorts of things and eventually settled on a couple of fun activities that he thoroughly enjoys. His inability to focus also causes him to miss things that are glaringly obvious, and in sensitive situations he can sometimes be a bit tactless. He is also known for having lots of energy.
Despite being a bit of a spazz, and occasionally a jerk in his quest for attention, he is very kind and thoughtful and will be a loyal friend no matter what. If he ever does get a little sassy, he almost always recognizes that he was wrong and apologizes for it. It takes a lot to break his trust, but even after that he can occasionally be too forgiving.
One of his biggest fears about moving has got to be how obvious his accent is. American slang such as "Dude" and "Bro" are very prevalent in his vocabulary, which doesn't help the surfer dude stereotype that he has slowly grown into.
History:
Kane Steven Westwood was born on a rare SNOWY California day in December (not actually in Malibu where he was born, only up North, but same difference to him). He takes this as a sign that he is destined for greatness, somehow. Ever since he was little, Kane was a big ball of energy, and was eventually diagnosed with ADHD. It didn't help that his diet (when he got to pick what he ate, at least) was 90% pure sugar and soda drinks. His parents enrolled him in tumbling and gymnastics with muggle kids to try and tire him out and give him something to focus on. He continued this hobby up until he was about eight, because he heard that gymnastics could stunt your growth and he was very concerned about this. Since then, the hyperactivity has decreased as he has gotten older, but he still has trouble concentrating at times and often employs different techniques he learned through therapy when he was younger to force himself to focus on things.
Kane was just as excited as any other wizarding child when he finally got to go to Ilvermorny. He was hoping to get Wampus like his brother, but ended up in Pukwudgie, which he ended up loving. However, his parents dropped a bombshell on him and his brother after the Christmas break when they announced they were moving to London for their father to accept a new job. The boys were given the choice to stay at Ilvermorny, but given that they were still on the younger side and didn't want to be on a completely different continent as the rest of their family, they agreed to transfer to Hogwarts.

SCHOOL YEARS First Year: Ilvermorny (Pukwudgie)
Despite being nervous about leaving his parents for boarding school, Kane was beyond excited to FINALLY get started on his magical education. He had been hoping to be sorted into Wampus like his older brother, but ended up being in Pukwudgie. At first he was disappointed, but learned to love his house, making friends with almost all of his dorm mates and trying to be a social as possible.
Unfortunately, his social nature took a toll on his studies. He very rarely did his homework and towards the end of his first semester, even started to cut class so he could hang out with friends. When he flunked nearly ALL of his final exams, it was a wake up call to him, especially after he was lectured by his parents for his irresponsible behavior. He had been afraid he'd be viewed as "uncool" if he chose to study instead of hanging out with his friends, but they were actually COOL with it and supported him! Studying is cool now, who knew?
He managed to get his grades up during his second semester, although he found it very hard to focus, especially after his parents gave them the BIG news that they would be moving. He debated back and forth with his brother about staying at Ilvermorny, or transferring to Hogwarts. Eventually, they decided to move with their family and change schools. While Kane's brain wanted to treat his final semester like it didn't "matter" since he'd be transferring, he forced himself to buckle down and finished the term with stellar grades. School has actually always been a strong point of Kane's, despite his inability to focus - however, he has what many call "book smarts" and is not really "street smart" at all.
Second Year: Hogwarts (Hufflepuff)
Once it became clear that the Westwood family was moving, Kane immediately began to speculate what house he would be in. He figured he would end up either in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, and he was right - Kane was sorted into the house of the badgers, and immediately took to his new house. He made lots of friends during his first year at school and still managed to hang out with his brother frequently, despite him once again being sorted into another house - this time around, it was Slytherin house. The highlight of Kane's year, no doubt, was his first kiss although he didn't disclose this information with his fellow badger Saffron Stemp, although girls are still a complete mystery to him.
Things got a little crazy during the year, however, when a mysterious portal to another dimension appeared on the sixth floor. Kane stumbled upon it just in time to see his own brother come out of it, ranting about a monster. The portal was ominously there the entire semester until the monster actually ventured into the school, taking two students into the portal with them. Although he desperately wanted to help the boys - one of which was his housemate - he was told to stay behind by the Headmistress. Together with Brent he worked with a group of students to get Storm and Miffy, the two poltergeists, to agree to travel into the portal and close it for good. Because that's how portals work, for some reason.

Before Hogwarts, Abra did not attend school, though his parents - more specifically his mother - ensured that he would be appropriately educated in preparation for Hogwarts. He was raised bilingual, speaking both English and Arabic. Abra can speak and understand both fluently, but has much more trouble with reading and writing in either language. He is dyslexic, but neither he nor his family were aware of this until after he had started at Hogwarts.
Abra likes to focus his time at school instead on practical activities, particularly art. He loves to paint, and is particularly taken with depicting how he sees the sky. He has started producing artwork of a slightly more abstract nature which are hugely colourful and kaleidoscopic, and in his fourth year he started focusing on developing his portrait-painting skills. When he does focus on his schoolwork, Abra tends to excel more in his practical subjects, especially Transfiguration, and falls short whenever the requirements of the class involve a lot of theory, reading, or high levels of concentration and preciseness.
Abra attended a local muggle drama club over the last year before he started at Hogwarts, because of his interest in dramatics and his creative energy, and to boost his confidence. As well as acting, he also developed a huge interest in singing and music. Having received a guitar for his eleventh birthday, he managed to secure himself some guitar lessons - and, since then, singing lessons too - from friend of the family, West Odessa. As he has grown older, Abra has become fixated not on academic prowess, but on the possibility of perhaps someday making it as a music artist.

HISTORY
Pre-Hogwarts (April 2080 - August 2091)
Born on 12th April 2080, in Alexandria, Egypt, Abra was the unexpected third and youngest child of Owen and Nora Botros. He has a brother, Hassan, and sister, Lilian, who are both over ten years older than him. The pureblood Botros line goes back for generations, known for producing Hufflepuff wizards and Slytherin witches - two exceptions being Abra's sister Lilian, who was a Ravenclaw, and his cousin Eureka, who was a Hufflepuff. Abra's great-grandfather, another Abraham, fought and played a significant role in the 1997 wizarding war when he helped to hide muggle-born witches and wizards.
Abra lives with his parents and some of his extended family in the Botros Manor, and has lived a very privileged life. Every summer, at his grandfather's insistence, the family would gather in the Alexandria mansion and spend the entire summer together. Some of Abra's earliest memories are of running or flying around the grounds and the house in Egypt, playing games with his cousins and siblings. He showed his first signs of magical ability as a toddler, when he would change his toys into different colours.
Though he is close to his siblings, Abra also grew up spending a lot of time with his cousins, due partly to being closer to them in age, and partly because of a tendency towards loyalty and togetherness within the extended, as well as immediate, family. Due to family connections, Abra also personally knows a number of famous wizards and witches, including British ex-Minister Sherman Clark, Quidditch player and wrockstar West Odessa (who gives him guitar and singing lessons), and Quidditch player Alice Odessa, all of whom have known him since birth. Abra's own brother is a professional Quidditch player for the Montrose Magpies, and also plays for the Egyptian national Quidditch team. Because these people have always been a part of his life, Abra has never considered these connections to be all that out of the ordinary.
Abra's paternal grandfather was Abraham Botros Sr., previous Ancient Runes Professor, Hufflepuff Head of House, and Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Like the other Botros (and Russ) grandchildren, Abra looked up to his grandfather as a hero, and he always wanted nothing more than to prove himself to him. Unfortunately, in 2088, when Abra was eight years old, a curse-breaking accident put Abraham Sr. in the hospital, triggering memory loss and episodes of confusion. Abra and the younger members of the family were permitted to visit their grandfather in the hospital from time to time, though not often, as Abraham Sr. would often have trouble remembering them, which was upsetting for everyone.
In the summer of 2090, when Abra was ten years old, his grandfather revealed to him and his siblings during a visit to his St. Mungo's room that he would be returning home to the Alexandria mansion that day. Abra was elated, confident in the belief that his grandfather must be well enough to come home again. Hassan and Lilian - and the Clarks, who had also come to visit - had some reservations, but Abraham Sr., stubborn and determined, did indeed return home that day. Later that night, back in Alexandria, Abraham Botros Sr. passed away surrounded by family and friends. His death had a huge impact on the surviving members of the family. After Abraham's passing, Abra's aunt and uncle and cousins all moved into the Botros Manor as their primary residence, joining Abra and his parents.
Less than a year later, the night before his eleventh birthday, Abra was visited in his dream by a Dream Messenger who left him a dream token, telling him he had gained entrance to the African magical school, Uagadou School of Magic. Upon waking, and discovering it had not just been a dream, Abra was utterly distraught. He begged his mother to get him into Hogwarts instead, fearful that he would end up different from his family, or separated from them. His mother promised that she and his father would do their best to transfer him, but the tears were for nothing, as later that day an exhausted barn owl arrived bearing Abra's Hogwarts letter, having simply taken slightly longer to reach the Egyptian home. Despair quickly turned to elation, and Abra was soon celebrating that he would soon be joining his cousins, Rula and Junia, at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Brent is a outgoing kind of guy who doesn't really ever meet a stranger. If he thinks you're cool and easy to get along with, and you don't get on his nerves or say weird things, then you're his friend. He's not uptight about anything at all and would rather take the fun route than be on the safe side any day. He's not really immature, though, so expecting something like a food fight from him would be kind of far-fetched. He'd totally laugh about seeing one, though, and would be more worried about messing up his clothes or his hair than the actual food in general. He's all about sports and the "cool Hogwarts subjects" and thinks it's a pain to have to attend ancient Runes, Arithmancy, and Divination. He has no idea what his wants to be when he grows up and thinks those kind of thoughts are for people his dad's age anyway. He's pretty excited about attending Hogwarts and can't wait to meet new friends and play some Quodpot (he has no idea there's no Quodpot here).
History:
Brent has a very basic birth story, which pretty much amounts to the fact that he was born on a sunny day in California right in the middle of the summer. He was the first of four children born to Harlan and Daphne Westwood. He was a handful from the time he could walk, keeping his mom and dad on their toes and racing after him most of the time. When he was about five-years-old, his parents tried to take him surfing, but he pretty much failed from the get-go. The first time he tried to stand up on the board, a mild wave crashed into him, pushing him underwater and away from surfing for good. Later on, after he started showing signs of magic, he proved to be very good at skills that would later help him excel at Quodpot. No matter what object his father would give him, Brent would usually be able to toss it into a pot, bucket, hole, etc.
When he was two-years-old, his first sibling, a brother named Kane, was born. Brent was your typical older sibling. He once took a permanent marker and drew a fake mustache on Kane a day before they were to take family pictures. It took a lot of magic to get baby Kane mustache-free and picture-ready. When Kane was a few years older, Brent convinced the young boy that he was actually born in a forest amongst a pack of wolves. Brent told Kane that they found him living in a cave and eating bugs and brought him home to civilize him. He told him they didn't know who his parents were, but they were going to find them and ship Kane back home. When Kane ran sobbing to his mom and dad, Brent was forced to admit he hadn't been telling the truth and had to apologize to Kane. It was all in good sibling fun, as now-a-days, Brent gets along very well with all three of his siblings and loves them a lot.
Realizing Brent would likely not fit in at any muggle school, his parents decided to homeschool him until he was of-age to attend Ilvermorny. At the American school, he was sorted into Wampus and played on the house Quodpot team. He was a pretty good student at the subjects he enjoyed and made decent scores in the subjects he hated. He had a girlfriend named Madelyn that he liked very, very much, but she dumped him for some other guy when his parents dropped a bombshell they'd be moving across the pond to Great Britain. Pretty upset about it at first, Brent kept to himself and stayed in his room for a while, until he realized that he was being a brat and should probably act like the mature Westwood kid. So he apologized to his parents and spent the rest of the summer getting himself excited about attending Hogwarts.

Born in 2080 of August the 10th, Simon Mordecai started his life as a loved and cared for infant. Then in the Spring of 2083 tragedy struck. His Parents both passed away after a fatal car accident. With no other living relatives Simon was taken to the Balderson’s Orphanage for Boys. He lived at the Orphanage for 2 years. Due to poor funding the Balderson Orphanage had to close. Simon was moved to an Orphanage run by the Sisters of Hope Agency. During his time at this Orphanage Simon began making friends with the other Orphans, though his friendships would not last long as just as soon as he became friendly with some they would be adopted. Soon though it would be his turn. In 2087 a Family would adopt him.
He lived with the Family for less than even year. For as soon as he was adopted he was mistreated and malnourished. The Family was arrested and Simon was taken back by the Adoption Agency where he would go back to living at the Orphanage for a year.
This mistreatment had a lasting effect on Simon. His normally friendly attitude became more reserved and he would become less trusting. It wasn’t until the Summer of 2089 that Simon would be taken in once more by a Man known as Warfield Anthony Rockefeller.
This was a big surprise to many, even to Simon. He had always listened to Warfield’s Radio Show on WNN “The Rock Talks” staying up late to never miss an interview the Wealthy Entertainer, and Wigtown Wanderers Owner would give to many famous Witches and Wizards.
Since his adoption by the Successful Rockefeller, Simon’s recently obtained reserved attitude would slowly begin to fade. He would view the man as a very strange individual with his over the top attitude and quirky nature. But he would be grateful to him and has taken to learning all he can to becoming the Heir to Warfield’s fortune.
Due to a horrifying event that occurred at the end of Simon's first year at Hogwarts that almost resulted in his and his friend's, Abey Botros' death. If it were for the timely rescue by the Headmistress, the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor and a slew of brave students Simon would have surely perished then. Since then he suffers horrible Nightmares on occasion, and if anything might remind him of that horrible day it triggers him into an almost unresponsive state.
Just before Simon would begin his Second Term; with great approval from Warfield and his help. Simon set up a Charity Foundation for Wizarding Children who suffer from PTSD caused by Magical Means. In hopes that these funds would help any kid like himself could make progress in their struggle with the illness. Warfield called the Charity The FAYMPTS (Fight Against Youth's Magical Post-Traumatic Stress) Foundation.
Simon had a very good Third Year despite the happenings around the School with cursed objects, Students, Teachers, and Blood on the Walls.
His Friend Eddie Blaze created the thought in his head that perhaps the Teachers in Hogwarts were out to get anyone with Pureblood Heritage. Something Simon knows he has from his deceased parents but wonders if the Teachers are aware as his Adoptive Father is Half-Blood. For now he is Safe.

Riz has a heart the size of an Oyx, shes dedicated to those who mean the most to her. But she can bite back when she needs too. Shes fierce in the most loyalist way and would defend her nearest and dearest with what ever it took. She is a happy go luck girl, with a very open and loving demenour. She can on occasions be fantastically sarcastically witty - but dont take it to heart, sometimes she cant help herself. Shes smart for her age, with the thirst for knowledge - a good enough reason as too why she is as smart as she is.
History:
Arizona was born on a very sunny day in Phoenix, Arizona, to Kate and Armie Andrews on the 4th of March. She was a complete surprise due to Kate being informed she was unable to have children previously. So when she was born - she was proclaimed to be their very own magical miricle. Riz learnt from a very early age that her family was magically gifted, it was something that was never hidden from her. Magic was the one thing that was encouraged to be explored in their household. Her parents were hard workers within the magical community, her mother a healer and her father a dedicated member of law and enforcement.
When she was 11, she was enrolled into the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in North America. This is where she excelled in advancing her knowledge of the subjects availble to her, in particular Charms and DADA. These were subjects her parents had worked hard in teaching her, making sure that when she needed too, she could furfill her dream of becoming and Auror within the magical community. She had losts of friends, only a few that were her closest. These the treasured as gifts to her. They would often travel all over the US to meet and spend vacation time with each other. It helped that they had magic to make this possible.
When she was informed she would be moving over to England, her heart broke a little. She knew what she was leaving behind. Her friends, her home, her life, what she was used too. The heat, the humidity. The idea was hard for her to digest. So when it cames to the actual move, she shed a few tears and left the life she was so acustomed too and deeply loved, behind.
Other: Riz highly enjoys music. You'll often find her listening, humming or singing to her favourite songs. She also loves history. History of the world, wars, people - it fascinates her. She has a birth mark on her left shoulder the shape of Italy.

Nero is generally friendly and easy to approach. However, he tends to judge people from the first meeting and would avoid those he doesn’t feel comfortable around. Due to his heritage of one of the longest (if the not the longest) pure-blood families in Asia, he has the pure-blood pride to some degree, but doesn’t disdain those who are from other heritages. He’s not reserved per se, but after his parents’ deaths, he became quieter. Nero is calculative in the sense that he would think before he acts, but once he has his thoughts together, he’s not afraid to take risks.
History
Nero Perseus Ballarat was born a descendant of the longest and purest bloodline from the Far East. Like most members of the Ballarat, he had mild control over his magic since a young age when he consciously summoned a ball that he accidentally threw onto the roof. He spent majority of his childhood with the family’s house elf, Peeky, whom he had good relationship with considering both of his parents were busy working with his father, Perseus, would only return during the weekends, and his mother, Cassandra, who always worked late.
One night in the summer before Nero was supposed to enter Hogwarts, both his parents were killed in a potion leak at Perseus’ laboratory when Cassandra happened to visit. He was left orphaned and was taken in by child services while they tried to contact his only living family, Ares, his paternal uncle, who he had never met due to the nature of his work.

PRE-HOGWARTS: Olivia was born in the early morning of the 21st of August in Melbourne, Australia. She grew up with two older brothers (Marcus and Simon) who were over-protective in their own ways. You had Marcus on one end of the spectrum who was more vocal than Simon and would demand respect. Literally the worst. He doesn't care about peoples' feelings at all, and would call them out on anything, even the slightest things. Hunt was born on 12 Nov 2075 as Hunter Yale Makoa Keir, in Hanalei, Kauaʻi County, Hawaiʻi, United States. He was born to parents Peyton Aria Donderval, a Witch, and Tywin 'Ty' Kalino Makoa Keir, a Muggle. His mother had turned her back to magic upon graduation from Ilvermorny, moving to Hawai'i to study Marine Biology at the Chaminade University of Honolulu. While she was studying in Hawai'i, she met his father, Tywin 'Ty' Kalino Makoa Keir, a Petty Officer 3rd Class for the US Naval Force and a Muggle. The pair dated for 2 years, and in those two years, Peyton got pregnant and gave birth in 2075. They later got married in 2078, when Hunt was 3 years old. In November of 2080, after a series of promotions, Ty got the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer and was deployed to work on a Naval ship in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. 2 years later, in 2083, Peyton married a wizard named Alick Bhaltair McExton, a Scottish Professor from the WU of Edinburgh. And a year later, gave birth a girl named Caitir Deonaid McExton. Three years later, she had another child with Alick, a girl named Lexine Nairna McExton.
Hunter grew up in Mānoa, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, United States, mostly spending Summers with his paternal grandmother. His early school education was at Mānoa Elementary School and Moanalua Middle School. During his childhood, Hunt took up activities like boxing, something that his father had avidly done while he was still alive. He also learned how to surf at a young age, and became a champion competitive swimmer for his Middle School. When he was 12 years old, he got his acceptance letter from the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There he got sorted in Wampus-House, the house that seemed to favor warriors, and in his mind, he was one.

Cameron spent his first five years leading a normal life with his parents, Amanda and Julien, and his younger sister Holly in a small town in the south of Wales called Ferndale. In July 2085, however, a tragic incident involving a fire cost both parents their lives, leaving the two children orphaned. While the reason for the fire hadn’t been completely clear at first, further investigations soon confirmed that it had been two year old Holly who had started the fire through an uncontrolled burst of magic. Naturally the owners of the foster home the two were staying at were informed about this detail but it has so far been kept from both children. After discovering that they could not have any children of their own Steven and Nancy decided to look into adopting with the help of the adoption agency “Sisters of Hope” which they had found through a mutual friend. The agency closely works with a great number of orphanages and foster homes, including the one Cameron and Holly were staying at.
Despite being informed of the reasons for the children’s parents’ tragic deaths, the two adopted Holly and Cameron on May 2, 2086, promising to keep an extra close eye on young Holly and the girl’s magical endeavors. While Cameron does remember their biological parents, they have become somewhat of a distant memory, even though both Nancy and Steven are trying to preserve a positive and clear image of Amanda and Julien. They’ve been open about the children’s adoption from the very beginning, not wanting to keep anything from them unless it was absolutely necessary. A single photo of the whole family taken on Holly’s first birthday has been saved and has been hung on the wall alongside other, more recent family photos in the Tamesis household.

At age four, Hazel showed her first signs of magic, irreversibly spooking her muggle father who had no idea that his girlfriend was a witch. Not long after he left, Hazel's mother recognized that she was struggling to take care of Hazel and herself and Hazel was put into foster care. They'd hoped to be reunited but shortly before Hazel turned six, Alix voluntarily surrendered her parental rights and Hazel was adopted by Tiberius Pryce and Gabriel Martin. A few months later, Hazel's biological half-brother Noah was born and he, too, was adopted into the Martin-Pryce family.
Since then, Hazel has become a absolutely creature nut and does her very best to make friends with everyone she meets. She is often found "rescuing" stray animals because, as she says, "everyone deserves someone."

Zoryn lived in Ottawa, Canada with her parents up until age 5. After that she and her family moved to England where her father was transferred for work. Growing up as an only child meant that Zoryn never had to fight for the attention of her parents. She was, in fact, spoiled. Her parents kept her living a very sheltered life with minimal exposure to magic and never letting her out of their sight. They are, indeed, helicopter parents. As for her own magic, Zoryn didn’t exhibit any signs of it until a late age of 9. Her parents had been very concerned up until then, but were relieved to see doll parts flying through the air on their own during one of Zoryn’s outbursts. “OUR BABY!” Emerest and Terrence weren't ready to send Zoryn off to boarding school, but their little girl is too excited to be stopped. And so, life goes on.

She's loud. She's wild. She's bold.
Zoryn A. Spinnet has a hard time understanding where limits are drawn, or no, she does understand the boundaries but chooses to ignore them anyways. She likes to push things (and people) to their complete maximum, which lands her in a lot of trouble. At home she's used to being treated as mommy and daddy's little princess, which means everything needs to be about her 507% of the time. While she isn't a lier by nature, she does know how to get what she wants and is willing to twist the truth in order to do so. She's not really in touch with her own feelings, nor does she do a good job at considering the feelings of others. Don't get it wrong though, she cares a lot about her friends and always wants to know everyone she comes across. Her curiosity is endless and her favorite past time is engaging in nonsensical arguments.
Her moral compass is slightly wack and she has a hard time forming meaningful connections with others. Negative emotions are something she actively chooses to suppress, as her friends often show her that emotions have a tendency of controlling a person. Zoryn Spinnet refuses to give up control.
