Paulie can be in all angles of perplexity, if that's what she wishes. Sometimes it's completely unnoticed and rather embarrassing. Her emotions stick out like a sore thumb. She tries to stay pleasant about this, sometimes not always, but emotions speak truth so it might be best. She is a natural introvert, but that doesn't mean she is distant or coolly. Paulie is kinda distant and coolly. Background
Jasmine Nicole Guidry was born on April 22, 2067 in San Diego, California. She has always felt that her birthdate and place of birth had something to do with her love of spring and the ocean. She is the middle child of three and has always enjoyed a close relationship with her siblings.
Jasmine inherited her magical ability from her French mother. However, she spent most of her life in the muggle world. Her father is a muggle who is an officer in the U.S. Navy. Because of her father's Navy career, Jasmine's family has lived the typical military family life. After being lucky enough to reside in San Diego for the first ten years of her life, Jasmine moved around frequently. After living in California, Conneticut and Virginia, Jasmine's family ended up in her mother's native France.
Jasmine attended Beauxbatons for two years, but never felt that she fit in there. After much begging and pleading, she was allowed to transfer to Hogwarts and has not regretted it for a moment.
Things you should know
Jasmine is a friendly and generally outgoing girl. She has had to hone her friend-making skills given the fact that she has moved around frequently. Jasmine is somewhat of a bookworm and she loves to learn. She is a Ravenclaw through and through, but don't let the book in her hand fool you. She has many interests outside of the classroom.
Jasmine is fiercely loyal and once she is your friend, you have a friend for life. She loves children and has no problem hanging out with people of all ages. Even though she appears confident, Jasmine can be unsure of herself at times. However, she will never knowingly let others see that side of herself. Both the Thornton (English) and Baines (Welsh) families are pureblood families that value order, respect, and tradition. Maris and Owain married by arrangement as had been both families custom for several generations. At the time, Maris was a professional, concert cellist, but after having her first child, left her orchestra and now gives lessons out of their home. Owain, along with his brother, Carwyn, manage the family business.

Until Thornton's enrollment in 2084, no one in his family, on either side, had attended the school since before the Second Wizarding War. As part of this family history of homeschooling, Thornton received tutoring at home before his enrollment in Hogwarts, which included lessons in etiquette, art, music, and ballroom dance, in addition to preparatory magical education. Much of his education and day-to-day care was managed by the family nanny/governess, Seren.

Life in the Baines house is structured, quiet, and proper. Social visits are carefully orchestrated, and so growing up, the Baines children only interacted with magical children that belonged to families with whom their parents were well-acquainted. Backstory :: When Nicky was six years old, her parents packed up all their possessions and moved the entire family to Brazil. With parents that she calls "flaky do-gooders" fixated on preservation work in the Amazon, Nicky was raised in Brazil and eventually sent to Castelobruxo for her education. She thrived there, making friends easily and (somewhat secretly) also excelling at her academics. She and Tali became more like sisters than friends, spending summer breaks together and staying up late talking about boys and fashion and the future. Each summer, Nicky and her parents would visit London to stay with Nicky's grandparents for two weeks. However, the summer before sixth year, Nicky's parents unexpectedly scheduled the trip to last the entire summer. Resentful, Nicky stalked around London, interacting with a few people here and there, but yearning to get back to South America and her friends. When the time came to return, Nicky was informed that she was instead headed to Hogwarts as the family would be staying in the UK. Despite an impassioned plea by Nicky and an offer from Tali's parents that Nicky could live with them, the Ivers would not relent.
Getting Back to Castelobruxo :: Feeling like her parents have ruined her life by moving her away from the only home she's really known, her school, and all her friends, Nicky is livid that she won't turn 17 until after the school year is up. Since finding out, mere days before the Hogwarts Express, that she was being sent off to another school, Nicky's waking hours have been consumed with figuring out a way to get back to where she belongs. During her first six years of life, Maddie spent much of her time with her mother, Gina, an acclaimed artist who worked from home. Gina felt it important to expose her daughter to art in its many forms. The two spent hours touring local museums, galleries, and creating their own works of art in the studio at their house in Watford. These early experiences instilled a love of art and appreciation for beauty in Maddie that is still very much present today.
Not long after her sixth birthday, the brunette noted that her parents were fighting more often. Her mother, worried about the state of her marriage, decided that she needed a more stable career in case she ever needed to rely solely on her own income. With this in mind, she eventually found herself a position at the Tate Modern as a Currator. While this was good news for Gina, it meant traveling and less time spent with her only daughter. Still, it was something Mrs. Cooper felt she needed to do as a strong, independent woman. Maddie would come to admire her mother's initiative, though the feelings of abandonment would still linger for years to come.
Maddie's relationship with her father had been strained for as long as she was able to talk. Being a man who believed strongly in discipline and strength of character, Harrison was never quite able to connect with his little girl. He found her inquisitive nature and interests in the things her brothers were doing inappropriate. There was also the fact that her delicate nature made her weak, something Harrison sought to remedy. His extreme measures created a hardened little girl, stubborn much like her father, but with little other connection to him than that. The two very rarely talk, and Maddie has always felt the need to prove herself to him, though she fully understands her efforts may not be acknowledged.
Because of her mother's travels and her father's indifference, Maddie found that when not in school, she was left in the care of her three older brothers. Vinny and Leo were quick to express their displeasure at this, which always made the youngest Cooper feel like a burden. Benny, though also feeling the weight of having to look after a child that wasn't his, made an effort with his sister. The two have probably the strongest connection of all the siblings and have built up a strong respect for one another over the years. Despite this, Maddie was often left to her own devices. This meant learned independence from a very young age and a sort of forced maturity. It also meant the brunette would have trouble asking for help from others in the future.
By the time Maddison was Hogwarts age, she was eager to get away from her life in Hertfordshire and experience somewhere new. She hoped to find a home there at the castle, as she never quite felt like she belonged in the one she'd grown up in. Looking for her place in the world, the eleven year old boarded the train and set off for a new beginning.

Personality
Most of Phoenix’s personality is music. He’ll always stand by the fact that music is the only thing he’s really any good at - except for kissing of course. He holds himself in very high esteem, mainly because he decided nobody else would find him as awesome and gorgeous as he deserved unless he really believed it himself. He has no time for people who disapprove just because he wears ‘girl’ clothes or make up or whatever - he is firmly set in himself, and knows who he is, caring little (if at all) for anyone who says he’s wrong to act the way he does. Even though he’s adamant of his own beauty, he easily recognises it in other people, and is firm in the belief that pretty much anyone can be beautiful if they believe it themselves.
When it comes to schoolwork, Phoenix is lazy. He knows what he’s good at, and gets frustrated to easily when he struggles with things. He claims to know in his soul that his destiny is music, and refuses to work hard at things he’s not going to need in life.

History:
Phoenix was born on the island of Euboea, Greece, to Giorgio Toros and Helena Elias on the fifteenth of May, 2069. He was their second child, and everything seemed great until his older brother started showing signs of magic. Helena, being a muggle, had no idea that Giorgio was a wizard until this point, and on his explanation of Rufus’ magic, Helena became overwhelmed and angry that he hadn’t told her before. She left him, feeling as though she didn’t know her own family anymore, and Giorgio took the boys to England where he then worked as a music producer at Steel City music studio in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Giorgio threw himself into the music scene, and fully accepted the wrock and roll lifestyle. Unfortunately, he died seven years later, leaving nine year old Phoenix to be cared for by his brother, who had graduated from Hogwarts that year. Rufus and Phoenix have stuck together ever since, and are fiercely protective of one another.
With Giorgio’s career as a music producer, Rufus and Phoenix both were very interested in music, and picked up the family talent. Rufus stuck to bass guitar more or less, and joined a band at Hogwarts called Agromantula. Phoenix was far more indecisive when deciding which instrument to learn, and has subsequently developed the ability to pick up almost anything put in front of him. He was always encouraged with his music, and never pushed too far at things he didn’t want to do. Music has remained an escape and a joy for him because of this, and he worked hard at it off his own back rather than other people’s nagging.
His dream is to be a famous musician, but he is adamant not to use his brother’s success to further his career when he gets older. He wants to do it all for himself, and become successful in his own right, rather than being known as “that guy from Agromantula’s little brother” for his whole life.
Phoenix’s personality is almost as big as his hair. He is sickeningly optimistic and has a strong faith in himself and his “legendary” good looks. Not only that, but he’s pretty adamant that everyone should be convinced of their own beauty as well as his. Cause where’s the fun in thinking you’re not hot, right?
Obviously, he considers his musical talent and his looks to be the main cause for appeal to other people, and keeps the rest well hidden unless it’s completely necessary. For example, his utter inability to concentrate or work hard on things that he doesn’t understand, or that don’t mean anything to him. He had been learning from a tutor back home until his fifth year - since he made his brother promise not to send him off to school when he was eleven. But his last tutor finally snapped after months of silliness, disobedience and pranks. He wasn’t the first to quit, but Rufus was adamant that Phoenix was going to have to be taken in hand eventually, and making his tutor’s eyebrows so long that they obstructed his viewing was the last straw.
Now that he’s fifteen, he’s not too bothered about going off to school, after all, if you don’t try stuff you never find out if it’s fun, right? And Phoenix lives to have fun. Year 4 (at Hogwarts): Bryant entered Hogwarts in his fourth year, having transferred from the Scamander Wizarding School. History:
Paris was born premature at St. Mungos on March 4, 2070. His early birth was a complicated surprise that had him spending an extra month in the hospital before returning to their family home in Scotland. When finally discharged to their home in Scotland, his mother, who was by then a stay-at-home mother and tutor, had taken to devoting all her time and attention to her son. Hiring a temporary nanny and tutor for her eldest daughters. This attention dwindled however as Paris grew healthy and strong as Laura had always taken a natural liking to her daughters over her only son. This was noticed by the boy, who seemed to put extra effort into regaining his mother's affections through his school work. Though school never was a strong suit for Paris with the exceptions of herbology and painting.
He worked equally as hard to spend time with his workaholic father to no avail, but found solace in time spent with his so-called annoying sisters and his uncle Jaycob. Despite the lack of overt affection from his parents, Paris was raised a caring, happy child who enjoyed a good adventure.

Leonard’s father left his mother before he was born, so his first 2 years of life they lived with his grandparents in England while his mother continued her work as a teacher. However when he was 3, his mother started dating an Italian muggle by the name of Alberto, who she married a less than a year later. After the marriage he moved with them to Italy, where he and his mother learnt how to speak Italian. Occasionally strange things happened around Leonard, but his mother wasn’t worried. His step-father however never cared for him, and so never was aware of these things.
By the age of 5 his mother had twin daughters with her new husband, and originally Leonard was quite jealous but over time he came to accept him and maintained a close bond with his mother through helping her with things such as cooking and baking, and also through learning the guitar and playing to her when he could. He also became helpful to her when she needed help with the twins. Within the next few years he had become the oldest of 8 children.

Born to Muggle parents Vera and Benjamin Ackerly, Layla was initially brought up in the borough of Brixton, London. However, upon her mums relocation of jobs into central London and a much bigger pay check than they previously got, the Ackerly’s were able to move to the slightly nicer borough of Clapham. At this point Layla was only two and she remembers very little of life before moving. Layla was 7 when he brother, having shown his magical ability late, was shipped off to Hogwarts. His stint at school was short lived as he did not enjoy being a wizard and instead moved to Florida with his then girlfriend Katrina Broadmoor. Layla remained in London where she grew up a city girl, loving the bright lights and hive of the Capital City of England. She attended a muggle school and socialised with her friends a lot.
That was until the winter of 2083 when she showed the signs of magical ability in the same way that her brother did. Although she hid it from everyone for a few months, the secret was out in 2084 when she received a visit from a representative of the Ministry to invite her to the school starting September 2084. Apprehensive of both, having to catch up with her peers after missing out on 4 years of education and of leaving her current life in Clapham, Layla was not entirely keen to go to the school.
However, she realised there was no way out and the studying began over the summer of 2084 as she read through her brothers old textbooks and tried desperately to learn everything she needed to be on par with her yearmates.

Layla has always been mature for her age, perhaps due to her upbringing in a busy city. She has always learned to look after herself and in some ways can appear quite stand-offish to the onlooker. Born as the second child in Melrose, Scotland Borders to Marley and Rohan Hazelwood, Declan had always been a little bit fearless. His Pureblood father met his Muggle-born mother while they were still students at Hogwarts. They stayed together after graduation, both going to the same university, Marley and Rohan both studying to be teachers. Not long after leaving university, Marley and Rohan gave birth to Shane, Declan following six years later. He looks up to his big brother, Shane, as a role model, being that Shane was a excellent scholar and very social in school. However, his attempt to be just as courageous as his brother ended up with Declan, at the age of eight, running for his life from a pack of wild dogs. He has a large scar on his leg from where he had to jump a fence in order to get away. His father had just been offered a job in the States, when they adopted Rowena Amorosa, a Pureblood orphan. Rohan took the job been offered of the position of Muggle Studies professor at Winchester School of Mystery and Magic in San Jose, California. So, at the age of ten, Declan and his family packed up and moved to the United States. Dec grew very sure of himself over the years, yet putting family always first. At the age of 14 and 15, he won third and second place in a statewide art competition, competing among both wizards and muggles. During his fifth year at Winchester, his family got news of his mother's father passing away, causing Marley to desperately to want to go back to the U.K. His family agreed on moving back to the U.K, however, Rorie (Rowena's preferred nickname) stating that she wanted to stay at Winchester during the school year while her father still had his job there. Shane and his fiance, Cassandra decided to get married in Scotland, but would return to the States after their honeymoon to finish their schooling in New York. Therefore, leaving Declan as the only one transferring to Hogwarts for his sixth and seventh year and enjoying it so far. During the summer of 2084, family complications happened between his father and mother forcing them to separate until they could sort things out, if they do.

Paloma is a highly dramatic and very curious child. This has driven her to explore every type of knowledge she is exposed to, especially in the scenic arts department. When it comes to have friends, she loves to laugh, to joke around and hangout at all times, with anyone who is willing to take her extroversive mood. When it comes to magic, she’ll find a way to apply it in her way, which sometimes leads into some sort of trouble. For this, let me warn you, this child is highly competitive.
History
Born Spaniard, she was raised in a family that has supported every dream and ambition both the Robles’ girls have ever had, ballet dancing being Paloma’s one high-pitch. Along with her basic schooling, Paloma attended dance classes ever since she was five years old. Such support to her artistic side made Paloma attend many schools around the world, which include New York, Russia, Italy, London, and Barcelona’s Scenic Arts Internship Program this last summer.
By the age of 10, she was admitted into a year and a half program for young talents in New York City, sponsored by Julliard School of Scenic Arts, thus she and her mother had to move into the city away from Spain and really get disciplined when it came to learn the full American English language and way of life to get around. This made her realize she had to toughen up, mostly because of the bullying and criticism attitude that goes around that media. And that, to her dismay, included peer pressure handled between teenagers inside the program. From time to time, she was auditioned and not very often admitted to play small parts in musicals and on-stage ballet performances for the program.
It was until she turned twelve that Paloma became interested in what she could do with her magic abilities, as they had begun to cause a little havoc every place and there. Her father, a retired teacher, decided to take responsibility of her education, mostly because Paloma travelled very often throughout the year and couldn’t stay in one place at once.

History
Pi comes from a very, very large family. She and her parents and her brother Rigo live on the privately owned land that houses a small amount of the family along with the winery, vineyard and large villa house for guest use. Her parents are both healers who often travel to London for their work and so Pietra was left at home under the care of her older brother. Because Rigo was getting ready to graduate, their parents decided that it was time for Pi to go to school so that she wouldn’t be alone when they were gone.
Personality
Very quiet, very cautious, and rather scared of the world is how a stranger would describe Pietra. To those closest to her, she’s a sweet, loving person who is quiet at times but can still stand her own in conversation. She has a hard time trusting people because of past experiences, so it takes her some time to make new friends, but once she’s sure she can, she’ll feel more secure and able to be herself.
Personality: Darius tends to be a very versatile person who's adaptable to just about anything. He's a very outgoing and sporty type of person. At times he can be very laid-back and unaware of his own needs. A friend to anyone who values being honest, sincere, and loyal. He can think quickly on his feet when needed and he's a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to certain things; helpful and Thoughtful.

Before School:
Darius has a duel citizen ship between the United States and the United Kingdom. His father is an American lawyer who met his mother when she came over from England during a business trip. Already divorced from her first marriage with two sons, Racheal wasn't looking for a relationship, but ended up falling in love and getting married again. She moved to the United States and two years later she gave birth to Darius. He was never really close to his half brothers and sister because of the age gap, but more to his twin sisters. He liked watching and helping take care of them when they were babies. They lived in the US until he was nine and moved to the UK after the accident that took the life of one of his twin sisters.
Magical History:
There is no magic on his father side of the family and his mother comes from a long line of squibs. She knows about the magical world, but not a lot because there hasn't been a witch or wizard in her family in over three generations. He had no idea that he was magical until he was seven and his mother explained to him how he had survived the accident. They were vacationing in Hawaii when a hurricane hit the island hard and fast. They were racing for shelter when he and his twin sister were swept away by the rain. He tried to hold onto Annabelle and Isabelle, but Isabelle got pulled away. The next thing he remembered was waking up in the hospital to find out that he had magically saved Annabelle, but not Isabelle who had drowned. So the magical world is new to him, but he's positive that he can adapt.
