If you're aiming to be the first to Hogwarts, board the train at the front. Mind your step and take small children by the hand. Kiss your Ma and your Pa, get the last jab in at your younger siblings, but don't dally!
The Hogwarts Express will be pulling out soon, headed to Hogwarts for another magical year. You may RP your character boarding the train here, saying their goodbyes, and meeting new Hogwarts students.
"Yeah, but it's way more cool in person than in pictures." He thought so, at least. Pictures were kinda lame really. They almost never seemed to really capture the awesomeness of whatever they were picturing. Although those magical moving pictures WERE pretty cool. He did like those.
Ariel offered the boy a smile, but didn't say anything more. She didn't think she'd be too impressed by Hogwarts. In all honesty, a castle for a school seemed a little excessive. It also seemed intimidating, like you could get lost easily, and cold. Stone didn't seem very conducive to warmth.
Anyway, they first needed to get there. Which meant she needed to get on the train, or at least find where to put her things while she said her goodbyes to her father and she didn't want to keep him waiting. Nervously, she inched her trolley closer to the edge of the platform, hoping the boy would still help her until she was settled, at least. But she wouldn't ask in case she was inconveniencing him. If he didn't want to help, she could figure it out on her own. Most new students were younger than herself, after all, but she would appreciate the assistance.

She actually asked to bring the baby, was she sick? He eyed her a bit and then laughed, "Newbie, you'll learn." That had to be what it was. Why would anyone want crying babies on the platform with them. His sisters were enough to drive him nuts as babies. Alana only new how to cry.
BAHAHAHAHAHA
He laughed hard at the thought of Lux trying to get Bay on the train. "You know you are going to have to deal with her all pouting and crying on the train if he did come." He wasn't going anywhere near that. He'd find Chance and hide out with him for awhile. Girls crying was something he did not deal with. It was weird and awkward and didn't they know they shouldn't do it in front of the guys.
He sighed at her words, "I hate going back, I want to stay playing. It was great." He had an awesome summer with practices and just flying. Did they really have to go back to that school, that school that didn't have quidditch. UGH.. "Maybe they will give us a huge surprise at the feast! Maybe this will be the term!" His dream of Captain one day still in his mind. It could happen, it had to happen!
What? She looked at for a minute. It wasn't like she actually wanted him to come along. She just asks to see if her dad wanted it to be just them. And she got her answer. She just shrugged at the newbie comment. Whatever...
"Oh, no." She shook her head "I'm not. I can't deal with it. I've heard it all summer." Cinna could only take so much of the whining. She loved Lux but she really needed to get over the whole my boyfriend is here anymore drama.
She frowned at his sigh. She really didn't want to go back herself. For a split moment she had thought about suggesting that they shouldn't go back. But that idea was insane, right. "I know you are going miss it." She patted his back and kissed his cheek. "Do we really have to go back?" She sighed. Of course they did. Ugh.
She turned her in the direction of where her dad had been standing. He was gone. Merlin where did he get it. Farther down the platform hopefully. She grinned, "That would be a huge surprise, wouldn't it?" Though she hardly doubted it.

This would be much better than having to rely on the Room of Requirement. It was just too bad they didn't have any sort of music club or lessons there. But she figured she'd make do on her own.
Her cello in its case strapped onto her trunk, the 14 year old lugged it all through the barrier as she stepped onto the platform. It was nice that her mother was allowing her a little more freedom as she was able to get onto the platform alone after saying goodbye to her mom and before crossing the barrier. But this stuff was heavy. The diminutive redhead paused for a moment to take a breath, next to a boy with hair as long as hers. Had she seen him before? Brynn gave him a glance and an acknowledging smile, not remembering him from class but assuming he went to Hogwarts. Why else would he be here? She added a "hello" just to be polite.
Out of the corner of his eye, Dylan noticed someone walk up to stand near him. He turned his attention towards her, seeing her smile at him. He smiled back, giving her a small wave. "Hey," the fifteen year old replied. A slight minute of silence passed and he decided to introduce himself. He always liked making new friends!
"I'm Dylan, by the way. What's your name?" he asked, suddenly noticing the big case she had with her things. "That a cello you got there?" he asked, nodding towards it.

Oh, he was friendly. Brynn liked friendly and she smiled a little better as the boy waved. Her hands rather full, she simply gave a small nod of acknowledgement until he spoke and she did the same. "Hi, Dylan.. I'm Brynn. Fourth year Ravenclaw." That wasn't too weird to add that, was it? She thought he might do the same in return at any rate and she was pretty sure he wasn't in her house so she was curious.
Oh! Was he a musician? Or maybe he just liked music and was knowledgeable about those types of things because she wasn't sure that everybody would just know that she was carrying around a cello by the case. Quickly glancing down at it, she looked back up and happily nodded. "Yeah, it's my cello.. Finally talked my mom into letting me bring it this year," she added with a chuckle. "Do you play any instruments?" She didn't know too many musically inclined people at Hogwarts, so it would be pretty neat if he did. "I like your hair, by the way." Not too many boys had long hair like that, but she could appreciate a redhead being one herself. Even if his wasn't quite as red as hers.

"Well, hope that the results is as good as expected." Bianca smiled. Wow, now both of them were having conversation like a two good friends. She just met her for like an hour or maybe less. maybe both of them can be a good friends for the entire term. They were in the same house and She's just a year older than Zhenya.
The brunette noticed something weird on her when she said that she was from Canada? Something's wrong? Maybe Zhenya had a traumatic experience about Canada or Canadian people? "Have you ever been there before?" She asked. "It's lovely." Especially her hometown, Vancouver. Though she spent most of her time growing up in Salem and London but she still felt that Vancouver was home; the city was beautiful and lovable and also the weather was nice too.
Okay, stop thinking about Vancouver and Canada in general. That made her wanted to go back there and she barely started her school.
"Really? Oh, good to hear that. Because you looked a little bit pale." Maybe it was her complexion and she seemed need to use some blush powder so she didn't look very horribly pale. Well, seemed like she's a good 'victim' that needed some make over. Well, let's see.

Oh no, there was so much more to Adi besides his hair, but why not give him a hard time about it? "Nope. I care about your endless supply of chocolate frogs too." Ha! How did he like that answer? Bald? Yeah, that wouldn't be happening if AJ had anything to do with it, but her face didn't show any sort of emotion. She shrugged and said, "It's your hair... you can do what you want with it." It was so nice to have her teasing partner back.
To answer Angel's question... "Third year is going to be the best year yet." She could just feel it. "I can't wait to get back in the dueling ring." She was sure that she would be able to kick some more butt at that. Not to mention that she sort of started to slack off last year when it came to her studies. Normally she didn't care too much about that sort of thing, but she did like being the best, and she just wasn't last year. This was the year of redemption. Everybody had better be on their best game because AJ Valentine was coming for you.
Angel went back to clinging to Benny, and AJ snorted at Adi's comment. "Something like that." She leaned in close to her boyfriend as whispered so that only he could hear her. "They don't have anything on us though." Adi and AJ... there wasn't a better coupling in history.

Adi knew very well AJ was ribbing him. It was amazing how often they did that and it never got old. He was all set with his reply for her. He raised an eyebrow. "Really? My hair and chocolate froggies stash... there's an easy way to fix the latter part too. You'll get no more Froggies from me." Lies, lies, lies. This year Adi had bought a larger than usual stash from Sugarplums, mainly with AJ in mind. "Speaking of Froggies...'' he continued as he reached a hand into one of his jeans pocket. Out came a Frog which he waved in front of AJ's face.
Dueling? Adi grinned at his girlfriend. "Does this mean I get to take you on this year too?'' No doubt AJ would want to duel him especially since she lost their last one and he knew she was going to come at him with everything she learnt so far and what she'll learn in the upcoming classes as well. Not that it bothered him. He just wanted her to be the best.
The Hufflepuff laughed softly at what was whispered in his ear. "That's true,'' he said in reply. These two were perfect together.

But she knew that if Kate really didn't want Gryffindor, the hat wouldn't place her there. "Did your mom go to Hogwarts too?" Hayden wouldn't usually have asked a question like that as soon as she met someone, but Kate had mentioned her dad. It seemed like a nice way to ask about the girl's blood status. Not that Hayden really cared, she was just curious.
"It's nice to meet you Kate," Hayden said with a smile. She liked meeting new people and making new friends. "It's pretty long - about six or seven hours I've never kept track exactly. It'll be dark when we get to Hogwarts. Don't worry though, it never seems like such a long ride." There was a lot to do: meeting new people and catching up with friends you hadn't seen all summer. Hayden had never felt like the ride lasted an eternity, though sometimes it felt long because she was so excited to get to the castle.
Kate's blue eyes dulled a little at the thought of having to be happy with whatever decision the sorting hat made. She didn't want to be happy with just anything. She knew Hayden was right, though, and so she smiled. "Yeah, I know. It doesn't hurt to hope, though, does it?" she responded, not really expecting an answer to that. "That's what my mom and dad, but secretly, I think my dad's hoping I'll be a Gryffindor." He'd been going on and on about his old house ever since Kate got her Hogwarts letter. She guessed Gryffindor wouldn't be a bad second place.
"My mom was a Ravenclaw," she answered. Her mom had mentioned her old house a time or two, too, and Kate was much more interested in that house than in Gryffindor. "What about your parents? Did they go to Hogwarts?" Her eyes widened when Hayden mentioned how long the trip to the castle would be. "Wow. I should really buy something from the trolley then," she commented. She should also find somebody to ride with. It would be a pretty lonely train ride all by herself. Kate nodded when Hayden assured her the ride wasn't as long as it seemed. "I'm probably too excited to really even notice anyway," she said.

He smiled as she nodded. "That's awesome! Yeah, I play guitar," he gave a nod towards his guitar which was sitting on his trolley. He had been playing it since he was seven... all those years before Hogwarts he had to find SOMETHING to do, didn't he? He adored music so much, and it was cool to meet other musicians. And she liked his hair. People normally didn't say thy liked it, they just asked why it was long. So it was nice to hear something different. "Thank you!" he told her with a chuckle. "I like yours as well."

Zhenya smiled back at Bianca. "Thanks," she said. She was definitely hoping for all of her OWLs. She thought perhaps a lower grade in Arithmancy and Ancient Runes. She wasn't so good at those…
She pulled out a bag of sliced apples. Dima had put an anti-browning charm on them, so they were still crisp. She took one of the apple slices out and put it in her mouth. Sometimes she liked to eat apples… she offered the bag to Bianca, "Want a piece?" she asked once she had swallowed.
Zhenya shook her head slowly, "No, I haven't… I wanted to go there for a while but… that urge kind of.. well it's not…" UGH she didn't know what to say… "I don't think I have a reason to go, but I'd still like to." There. That. "I bet it's lovely though."
She nodded, putting her hands against her cheeks. "Yes, I know. I've always been a bit pale… I don't get much sun." She almost told Bianca about her accident but didn't. She didn't need to know. But it was true, since she was thawed out she didn't seem to have the same perfusion as before. She was a bit pale, and her hands and feet were always just a little bit colder than before.

Ah... time for another great year! He couldn't wait for this year to get started! Tobias walked by his side as they walked down the crowded platform. Tobias thought it was weird how no one could tell the difference between him and Tyler, he was actually amused by it, they were actually quite the same despite them being in separate houses. Tobias looked around for Savannah his now girlfriend, over the break they told each other their feelings for one another, he was surprised that Savannah felt the same way. He didn't see her or Sophia who was usually always seen with Savannah but maybe he wasn't looking for them good enough.

Tyler was excited about the upcoming year, he couldn't wait to be back at Hogwarts, it wasn't that he didn't like hanging with his twin brother Tobias and his best friends he just missed Abby. Walking through the crowded platform beside Tobias, he knew that he was looking for Savannah and Sophia. "They'll be here Toby, this is where we meet every year with fail!"said Tyler. He had to agree with Tobias when he thought it was funny that no one could tell them apart, they only could when they were in their Hogwarts robes, he was a Hufflepuff to where Tobias was a Gryffindor. Although they were basically the same despite him getting sorted into Hufflepuff to where Tobias gotten sorted into Gryffindor.
"Hey Toby go see if you can find Savy Kitty and Hugglepuff, I just found Abby! "said Tyler walking over towards her. Sneaking up behind her he wrapped his arms around her waist before he kissed her on the cheek. "I missed you so much Abbs! said Tyler softly but honestly.

It was a delightful surprise to Ariel that this boy wanted her to sit with him. She'd thought he'd help her and then go off to find his friends. Maybe tell them about her. The new kid. Not that he'd want to sit with her as well as help her, but it saved her trying to figure out where she belonged on the train. "Okay!" she grinned. "Where do you sit?"
