If you're aiming to be the first to Hogwarts, board the train at the front. Mind your step and take small children by the hand. Kiss your Ma and your Pa, get the last jab in at your younger siblings, but don't dally!
The Hogwarts Express will be pulling out soon, headed to Hogwarts for another magical year. You may RP your character boarding the train here, saying their goodbyes, and meeting new Hogwarts students.

At least this year she was starting with everyone else, and not just half way through the term. As she was standing there, she heard a moan behind her. Could the train come any time soon? She smiled slightly and went to sit down next to the girl.
"Bit bored waiting, are you?"
Still sitting at her seat, she spotted a younger girl sat next to her, but she could care less about her. Weird girl, why did she just smile at her? Did Bianca knew her or maybe had seen her before? Maybe not. She didn't remember that she met any person this summer.
Bit boring waiting, are you? She asked to her.
"Well, I don't think there's a people who enjoy waiting. Missy." She spoke. She could make a bet of all of her entire shoes collection that nobody likes waiting. Seriously, because she was sure that everybody in the entire world hates waiting.
"You disagreed?" She asked to that weird girl. "Seriously, it is wasting our time. For instance, we wait for an hour but there is something that we can do in an hour. Like, jogging or... baking an apple pie. Time is galleon, girl." She loved both. Bianca just wanted to assure that stranger girl that she had a right reason why she hates waiting. "You have a hobby, don't you?" She asked that girl. "Imagine that you can do your hobby in an hour. Well, maybe an hour isn't enough for that. That's the point! That's why I feel bored when I'm waiting. Because I can use my time here, waiting for the train to do something more useful."
Oh no. Bianca hoped that the girl didn't think she was a weirdo or something because she talked. A LOT.
"I'm talking too much, aren't I?"

Missy? Zhenya cocked an eyebrow at the stranger. Missy? She was about to open her mouth and give her what for, but then she spoke again. Zhenya lowered her eyebrow and forgot about it. No, surely she didn't mean it rudely or anything. She didn't sound rude.
She shook her head. "No, I don't disagree. It's boring, of course."
……
Baking an apple pie? An… APPLE pie?
But still, despite the talk of her apple pies and galleons and jogging, Zhenya was just… bemused. How could this actually be a conversation? She listened though, taking in everything the girl was speaking of but… whoa. Take a breath, girl! She nodded. Yes, she totally understood what the girl was saying.
Then she laughed.
"Yes, a little bit, but it's okay. I like listening, so really… you're just helping ME pass the time." Her eyes were twinkling from her smile, she hadn't really spoken to anyone new this summer. Old friends, and family.

She laughed? Maybe she thought that she was a weirdo who talked A LOT. But she couldn't stop. "Really? Just tell me if you think I'm a weirdo or something. That's fine, I don't easily get offended. Seriously." She was being honest. Being a very outspoken girl made Bianca didn't approve any kind of lie, even some people said 'the truth hurts.' but she valued candor very much even if it hurt to hear. But as she'd said to that girl, she wasn't easily offended. Or maybe this girl was too afraid to speak up. That's fine.
"Well, I bet that you are a good listener and don't talk much, huh? Same as my brothers." Bianca smiled. Gary was like the most silent person in the entire universe. He just talked when he needed, but he was a good listener. Brian was much like a same as Gary. She didn't have any idea what was wrong to both of them.
"What year are you in?" She asked that girl. She'd never seen her around before she departed to Salem. Maybe she was a transfer student so she just saw her here for the first time.

Zhenya thought about what the girl said. She didn't get easily offended? And she was asking Zhenya if she thought she was a weirdo? "Well…" she tilted her head to the side, "Honestly? No, I don't." She didn't. Truth. Just… "Maybe a chatterbox, but that's okay. As I said, I like listening." No awkward silences. Zhenya was NOT good at making awkward small talk either, so the more this girl chatted, the happier Zhenya was to sit there and listen. She thought about what the girl was saying… "Hmm… I suppose I do listen more than I talk, but… I can talk a lot. Sometimes." It was true.
"I'm…" she paused briefly. This was always such a weird question. To answer the condensed version, or the long and true version? "I'm a sixth year." True, it was true. What was she going to say? Oh, actually, I was supposed to graduate six years ago but I kind of had an incident… No, not happening to someone she had only JUST met. "How about you? I don't recognise you."

And yes she DID notice. She smirked more and watched the little turn, nodding in approval. Figure out how to use it? That got a small laugh out of the older girl. "Trust me, there's not much you have to do now. But once you do... you'll know how." She winked at her. "Where's your tag alongs?" And by that she meant Dima and Kyroh, of course.

He had run just a liiiittle ahead of his father, but that was cool NOW, right? Dima was a big ol' thirteen year old, a real and true teenager; supervision in obviously safe places was unnecessary. The teeny tiny Toussaint could handle himself very well and stay out of trouble all by himself.
But he loved his daddy, so Keir was gonna keep showing up, okay?
In the midst of his speedy search for Kyroh or Maddie or Dot, the third year might have been going a bit too fast. Fast enough to knock over a boy who'd already been losing his balance.
Not fast enough to break bones or anything. Although that would have been AWESOME.

This was allllllways happening to him, yo. Mostly by Clara who had about as much sense as a bucket of...something. That thought could have been executed well if he'd known what to say there. BUT it was the thought that counts.

Hugh began groaning before he even hit the floor. Premature reaction. BUT HE WAS PLEASANTLY surprised when hitting the ground didn't hurt all that much.
He grinned at tiny person, "That was incredible. It didn't hurt at all. How did you do that?" He was curious.

"I found it easier to look after them by hanging out in the dorms."

"Yearbook sounds cool. This year's looked pretty good." He nodded, remembering when it had shown up. He had flipped through it and told Mairwen all about Hogwarts. And then Seren. And then Mother. But Father hadn't really had time, so Thornton had just left it on his desk, opened to the page with his superlative. "So you know you want to do something with writing, then?" Thornton was impressed. He had no idea what his options were, let alone what he wanted.
Paige smiled and tucked some stray curls behind her ear. She could just imagine having a box, charmed by an older student with an extension charm, full of just letters from Thornton. Sounded quite fun, actually. Minus him not being at the school. That was far from fun. "Maybe we could still write to each other. Try to figure out the spells used in the Ministry. My step dad has told me about Ministry memos. Could be fun. And easier than sending messages by patronus."
Something she could not even begin to fathom doing yet.
WRITING! That reminded her...and it wasn't that she was ignoring his question - far from it - but she was caught up in the moment and did not want to forgot a very VERY important request she had of her best friend. "Mmhmm," she nodded as she retrieved her yearbook and began flipping towards the back. "I'm just not sure what sort of writing yet. I enjoy reading nonfiction, but not sure I am creative enough for that sort of thing." She needed to stretch her writing a bit to figure all that out. "I..." she said triumphantly as she thrust her yearbook at him in one hand and offered him her broken phoenix feather quill with the other. "...was wondering if you would do me the honor of signing my yearbook. Right here. Next to your picture."

Maddie could live with that. There seemed to be a lot of little ones around here today which meant more minion possibilities, did Dora KNOW? This was exciting stuff.
A group effort. "Sometimes Kyroh gets upset because I won't let him look after me," She admitted with a shrug. "But I'm used to looking after myself so I don't see why it's a big deal." Dora might see why. Her perspective was different so maybe she could help. The brunette was JUST about the only person Maddie willingly accepted advice from so. "We do that lots. I'd rather hang out with them than the girls in my dorm." No offense to them or anything but teenage girls could be dramatic and Maddie wasn't a fan.
...Not that teenage boys couldn't be dramatic but it helped that she liked them.

Mr. Abrams cleared his throat to get his daughter's attention off the now gone boy and back to him. "I'm not going," he stated simply. The world she was about to literally enter was not for him. He belonged on this side of the wall....where people just don't disappear through them. So if Ariel was about to just go follow the boy expecting him to follow her, it wasn't happening.

He had his trunk in hand and Toad in his pocket. Another term starting, UGH!! Did he seriously have to go back to school. Summer was too short and it should be illegal to send kids back when it was still nice outside. His mother wanted to bring him, but he was 15 and too cool for that. Nope, so to get to come alone he talked her into letting him take some posters to put around the platform. People bringing their kids could see them it would work.
So here he was alone and ready to not get on a train. He wondered if he walked out the door and just didn't go if it would work, but he knew better. Cossy would know he wasn't at the feast, he would know he had skipped the train and tell his mother. Nope that was just not going to work, so he would have to deal.
Looking around he found a few places and stopped to put the posters up. Now maybe he needed to find Cinna or some innocent first year to confuse.

Adi shrugged, used to Benny's one word responses. Man, he wished AJ was here. He distracted himself with the repeated thoughts of his girlfriend by watching Benny to take Gus and set him with Conrad. "They have a lot of catching up to do,'' he said. Whatever toads and owls discussed.
And just who was that, talking all funny? The fifth year turned his head to the source. "Angelfish!'' Happy to see the younger girl, Adi jumped up from the trunk and gave the little sister a hug. "Hello. How's it going? Ready to be a third year?'' Questions were Adi's thing. Mhmmm.

"Not possible," Hugh corrected him swiftly. It was charming the boy wanted to compliment him, but misguided. He didn't have all of the facts to make an outlandish statement like that. Did he KNOW his previous histories with falling? No. And since Hughbert did, he was overly cognisant that he'd hurt himself in the past.
Only changing variable? The kid. So he had to have done something.
Duh.
"So what DID you do?" Curious ears wanted to know.

Zhenya just nodded. She wasn't a weirdo, definitely not. But then she raised her eyebrows. Was this girl… somehow digging into her brain? Yes, that was basically her through and through. "Wow, you're a good judge of character. That's… basically me."
"Last year! Are you glad to be finishing?" She only had 2 years left, and then she was… free? What was she going to do when she finished?
"Oh you're a twin? Who is your twin?" That was kind of cool. Zhenya had a brother that was 7 years older than her, and twin siblings that were about 12 years younger. No sibling close in age to her, so she would never be able to go to school with a brother or sister. It would have been really nice if she could have though.

He grinned. "Hey, you made it! Wasn't too bad, was it?"
Ariel entered the platform and again a soft breath escaped her. "Wow," she couldn't help to whisper aloud. She had...very little idea that magic could make such things possible. Sure, there was the entirety of Diagon Alley in the middle of London, but at least you could assume that the Muggle buildings surrounding it hid it. And there, the wall opened up to the Alley. Here, you simply walked through, as if the wall were made of water or something... And now, there was an entire platform, complete with train and everything inside the wall.
HOW???
The girl blinked several times as she took in her surroundings and processed that the boy was speaking to her. She nodded in reply and reached out to graze her fingers along the wall she just came through, completely amazed.

She sort of missed them already.
She was about to motion for her mom to come stand by her, when she heard a voice nearby. It wasn't a voice she knew, but Kate figured out it was directed to her. She glanced over and saw a girl who looked to be about her age. Oh...someone was introducing themselves. Act cool, Kate. Act cool. Try not to seem like a little kid."Hey," she said, turning to face the girl. Was she new? Yes. Was it that easy to tell? Maybe the girl just knew she'd never seen Kate around before. "Yeah. I'm a first year." Kate smiled. "Was it that easy to tell?" Maybe it was her height and tiny frame.
"What about you? Are you new?" she asked. Kate wouldn't know one way or the other. She didn't really know anybody yet. She'd met a few people in Diagon Alley, but she doubted any of them remembered her. Who knew, though. Oh, she should introduce herself! "I'm Kate Addison, by the way."
Hayden gave a small shrug. She didn't want the girl to think it was obvious she was new. Sometimes Hogwarts students just seemed to have a sixth sense about that sort of thing. They knew who was new and who wasn't. Maybe it was because they spent so much time in close proximity with each other, they knew if someone new was added. Still, they didn't all know everyone. "Not really," she decided to say to the girl. "A little. You don't look as confident as the others I guess. And I haven't seen you around before." As she said it she glanced around at their fellow students, loading their stuff and greeting old friends. They knew exactly what they were doing because they'd done it so many times.
"First year?" She couldn't possibly be older than that, but Hayden didn't want to assume. She shook her head at the girl's question. "Nope, I'll be a third year this year. I'm Hayden Malone and I'm a Hufflepuff." Obviously if this girl was a first year she wouldn't have a house, but it had just seemed like the proper way for Hayden to introduce herself.
Finally someone that know her dad had stopped to talk to him. She stood near by for a little bit. Now would be the best time to lose him. Of course she would come back he did still have her stuff. So yeah, she'd be back. Bye dad.
She headed down the platform. Trying to get out of his line of sight. Which didn't exactly work out that well. Because she spotted someone, Bart not to far up the platform from where her dad was. She walked up behind him and poked him in the side. "Hey, there. Whatcha doing?" She grinned and looked around, wondering if any one else was around. "You came by yourself?" Lucky.

Bart had just turned to head down the platform when he felt poking at his side. Looking to find his girlfriend standing next to him he grinned and leaned in to give her a kiss. "Hey hottie." Glancing around, did someone bring her or did she get to come alone too?
Leaving his trunk on the ground he pointed towards the poster of his mother. "I told her if she let me come alone I'd put these up all over the station. It wasn't working at first, but then she said if she could drop me off that she wouldn't come in. So she left me at the door." He grinned loving the freedom.
"Just finished putting up the last one, so now just hanging out until the train." Which he knew he had a few more hours before it showed up. Why did he decide to come so early? He could have slept longer.

Aaaand she was now pretty distracted by the whole platform. Which he guessed was understandable when it was your first time and all. He didn't think he had been as starstruck, buuuut still.
"Pretty cool, isn't it?" he said, grinning. "Just wait 'til you see Hogwarts." It was way cooler than a train platform was.

"I've seen pictures," she said. So she knew what it looked like and that it was a castle. She knew it was in the far north and freestanding. You didn't get to it by walking through a wall. In Ariel's opinion, that was far less impressive than stepping onto a magical platform in the middle of a non-magical train station.

Cinna stood there beside him. She glanced back to find her dad still standing there talking to a different person. Good now that should keep him busy for a while. She turned back to him and kissed him back. She grinned at his greeting. She liked that, Hottie. It was very fitting.
Her brown eyes followed his finger to a poster with his mum in it. She nodded. " Nice." And it must be nice. She though of everything to try to get her dad to not bring her. It clearly didn't work. "He insisted on coming." Eh. She nodded over in the direction of where her dad was at. She rolled her eyes, slightly.
”Yeah, me too. Have you seen anyone else?" People that they actually knew? Besides her dad. Not that it mattered really. She was pretty happy with the company she had now.
