"The luggage compartment is just inside," he said and eyed her. He seemed to have forgotten all about the f-incident, but he was being careful to look only into her eyes.

"After you," he said, because manners mattered.

With her little legs and all the peoples that crowded the station, the walk down the platform seemed to take many of their precious minutes before the train was to depart. She felt pretty sure that they weren't going to miss the train or anything, but she still sort of felt the urge to rush. Maybe it was just the excitement of Hoggywarts that made her want to rush. Yep. That was obviously it.

"Got it," she said and looked back at him, smiling. "Thank youuu." Lovely manners, he had, yep. Up she went, dragging her pets cages onto the train first and then heaving the trunk up, too. She stepped back and made room for Forrest to join her.

Oh and EEEEP! SHE WAS ON THE ACTUAL TRAIN ! AGSBAGHSB!

Forrest reached instinctively to help her drag the cages, but instead his neck started to scratch so he had to clench his free hand into a fist again not to start acting weird. Although she was fast, it still felt like hours had passed until the cages were out of his sight. He'd shoved his hand deep into his pocket again and bit his lip. It was his turn to get on the train, and he grabbed her bag. It was a little hassle, but he got on after a minute's sweating and grinned at her. He was starting to feel the excitement too!

Mackenzie maneuvered her way around the crowds of students to the north end of the platform. This would also give her a seat in the front of the train. Which was sounding like a great idea, from the look of it there were going to be a LOT of first years and she was not going to be fighting over a seat with firsties..

She stood off watching the others, looking for some of her friends, from the looks of it no one had made it to kings cross yet. Sigh oh well maybe she would get the chance to make new friends while she waited.

"If I didn't see you, I obviously didn't see your bright yellow shorts." The girl seemed rather offended so he just flashed a cute smile at her. What? He just liked to show off his smile. He had a nice smile. Or so he'd been told.

It was funny, because Schuyler had been in a cheery mood today. But, she just didn't tolerate cocky boys. And this one was cute, yes, but all his behavior was pointing him right in the direction of arrogant-central. She looked at him, wondering why in the world he thought bumping into a girl was something to smile about. Well..... there were a LOT of boys who didn't have tact these days. Her eyes followed his over to some blonde, then returned to him. It was an effort to stifle an eye-roll.

"Right. Well, eyes up next time." She gave a little nod, and shifted her weight onto the other foot.

Leaving for Hogwarts is always a bittersweet thing, at least for Blue anyway. Sure, it was great to see her friends again but she hadn't gotten much of a chance to miss them, given she'd seen them so much of the Summer. Bitter though, because she was away from her parents a lot more than she saw them. After being passed from family member to family member for hugs (multiple times) she pushed her trolley up the platform. Her trusty toad was tucked away safely in her coat pocket. The train was there alright, ready for boarding but Blue kept an eye out for someone -- Theo, West, Cassia. ANYONE. She froze when she heard her name and walked backwards a couple of steps, fixing on a grin.

"Look no further boys, I'm right here."

And with that, she spun on her heel, so she was facing and beaming at Garrick and Ben. She kept a hand on her trolley though, in case someone decided her personal belongings looked valuable enough to steal.

Erindipity 08-27-2013 10:24 PM

Benjy and BLUE

Benjy really didn't know Kalla at all. Garrick just smiled and shook his head. "She doesn't know she needs you. She does." That was all he was going to say. Cryptic? Perhaps. But true. Mhm.

And his arm was GROSS. Legit. And he got a derisive snort at the suggestion that Garrick couldn't do physical labor. He could. And he did. Clearly. "If you were wearing protective gear that wouldn't have happened." And yeah, he sounded like a nagging mum. But he didn't care.

And his hair... "It's definitely different," Garrick said as he ran a hand through HIS fabulous locks. I mean, Benjy's hair paled in comparison to Garrick's. He couldn't help that, though. Heh.

And WHAAAA.

Blue.

She popped up like her ears had been burning. Hehehehe. Garrick smirked a bit and immediately moved forward and pulled her into a hug. A proper one. He had missed her. For real. "Hey pretty girl. Excited about going back to school?" He asked as he picked her up and spun her around.

And yeah... It was not typical behaviour for Garrick, but something had changed in him over the summer...

hermygirl 08-27-2013 11:23 PM

Benjy shook his head with a roll of his eyes. "You two are as bad as each when it comes to being cryptic. Seriously. And then you wonder why I interpret stuff wrong." Really it was no wonder Benjy thought tje Ogdens liked to keep him in the dark with all their riddles.

Pfft. "It's not that bad. You know I've had worse." And he did sometimes wear protection, but nowhere as often as he should, and only to keep certain people happy. "And c'mon, the 360!" Wasn't he even the slightest bit excited at that?

Meh, different. Garrick sounded like his mum. First protection, and then a nothingness description of his hair. Really, why did he bother?

And luckily, his mood wasn't given a chance to linger, as Blue turned up right on cue. "Heya," he greeted friendily. He soon was looking at Garrick curiously though. He'd missed something here. Like seriously.

Did Garrick...? No. Surely.... He was never that forward.

"Ginger!" Dylan cried after the orange kitten that darted straight out of her crate. Sighing in frustration, he ran a hand through his hair. He had only opened the cage to give her a cat treat and now she was gone...

He couldn't lose her.

The boy quickly ran after the cat, pushing through people and almost tripping a couple times. He then came to a stop where Ginger sat right by a girl's feet. The kitten stared up at the girl and rubbed herself against the girl's leg, purring loudly. Dylan looked at the girl in embarassment and blushed slightly. "I-I'm so sorry...sh-she got loose..." he stuttered softly, bending down and scooping up the kitten.

Itching. Mackenzie's leg was ITCHING the blond looked down to see the cutest orange kitten rubbing itself against her leg. "Awww..." but before the now third year Gryffindor could bend down to pet the small animal a young boy rushed over and started stammering his apologies. "Oh it's alright. She's a cute little thing. Can I pet her?" The blonde waited for the boy's answer before she moved.

Dylan glanced up from Ginger when the girl asked if she could pet him. He nodded and held the kitten out towards her. "You can hold her too if you want, just make sure she doesn't escape." he said with a small smirk. He then wondered curiously to himself if he was making yet another friend...he really hoped so. He looked around for any of the few familiar faces- Marigold, Tessa or even the rude boy from Scribbulus, but it was impossible to find any in this crowd. Feeling alone, Adi stood by himself at the Platform waiting for the train and trying to keep out of the other students' way.

Annabeth noticed a boy, probably a first year as he seemed to have that expression on his face... she couldn't put it into words, but she knew it. She frowned, he seemed to be trying to stay out of everyone's way, stepping forward and then backwards. She approached him and said, grinning, wishing not startle him:
'Hello!'

Carefully Mackenzie took the kitten from the boy, she cradled her closely and rubbed her stomach. "I'm Mack, what's your name?" Really the blonde hadn't planned on befriending any first years but she was taking a note from her friends who talked to her during her first year. She hoped that this kid would also be a Gryffindor, she could take him under her wing. Well she could do that no matter what.. but it would be easier if he was a lion.

Cat was glad that her parents had let Aunt Delilah drop her off at the train. Really, Delilah was much better at goodbyes since her momma tended to get all teary eyed and that made Cat squirmy cause she didn't do crying well. It was a little odd that Marco was here, but well, it was still good too. Marco was good at goodbyes also, so there would be no tears all around and that was always a good thing.

Besides, she had someone to carry all her stuff! "You okay over there, Sforza?" Just checking.

"He's finnnnnne." Delilah answered FOR the boy with a dismissive wave of her hand in his direction. "You're fine, aren't you, boy?" She cast her dark eyes in his direction and raised an eyebrow. "He's fine." She decided again.

FROWN.

Stan's smile faded instantly. He apologised, didn't he? So what was her problem? GIRLS. Stan tried not too look too annoyed and answered stiffly, "I'll try." It wasn't like he just walked around and bumped into people on purpose. That would be stupid.

... Now, what? The fifteen year old wasn't sure what to do now.. Could he just walk away without apprearing rude?

A Sforza struggling? Of course not.

Marco did not struggle. He did no such thing in the presence of women. A heavy cart was no match for him. He was a stubborn boy in front of Moretti women, but a whiny one in the presence of his own family. He was perfectly capable. He just had to keep telling himself that and eventually it would be true.

Delilah scared him. That was also a reason for the lack of whining.

"The Sforza is fine." he nodded, knuckles white from gripping the cart so tight. Upon his statement, a decent sized round box fell from a top the pile. "I got it, I got it."

Delilah sent another look at Marco as something fell, or jumped, off of the cart. Hmm. Still fine, she supposed. "See? He's fine. Sforza men usually are." Delilah had a smirky type grin on her face about it too. Once upon a time, she'd dated one and made him carry things for her so she was rather proud of her little niece for having Marco take care of her things, even though the boy was an ex-boyfriend. Like aunt, like niece.

The girl just bounced between the two and grinned. Marco was fine, she supposed, though she'd take over if he asked her to and Cat knew better than to think he would. She turned her grin towards Marco after Aunt Delilah spoke. It was still weird that she'd dated Marco's uncle. Still weird, yep. "Are you suuuuuureeee you're fine?" She asked in a hushed sort of voice so that Aunt Delilah wouldn't hear.

He picked up the box and placed it back on top but this time closer to his person so that he could keep a better eye on it and a hand as well. "Uh yeah. I'm eh.. fine." Queue the rapid nodding and somewhat fake reassuring smile for miss Delilah. She was terrifying and Marco was having a bit of a difficult time concealing his fear. But he hoped her attention was elsewhere. Which it seemed to be already.

With a slight undertone of panic in his expression he smiled at Cat as her gaze fell on him. "Fine with pushing the cart, sure." he whispered back to her. "But your aunt's sort of.." Terrifying. He couldn't say that. Not about a Moretti. Cat would probably laugh at him for it anyway.

Anyone? Just poke me if you take her :D

Kahlan wasn't at all happy at how quickly the holidays had passed. From her experience of last year, while classes were fun Hogwarts wasn't exactly fun to be at since they'd run into financial difficulty.

And her optimism for change and belief in what the older student had told her quickly left after the year had passed and there were still Hogwarts funding stations in Diagon Alley - but this year she had a couple of galleons tucked in her pocket so they wouldn't have a repeat of last year where they couldn't get into the common room.

And now, to wait. Looking around earlier she hadn't seen anyone she'd noticed so she slumped slightly, sitting on her trunk as she held onto her cat to make sure it didn't run off like it did last year.

She wasn't going to spend the whole trip searching for it this year!!!

JustAlice 08-28-2013 11:05 AM

SHE WAS HERE!!

SHE WAS HERE AND SHE HAD NOT MISSED THE TRAIN!

RESULT!

Derry had been genuinely scared that she wouldn't make it on time and she'd miss getting on the train and sitting in the prefects compartment for her first time as captain and it would all be terribly embarrassing and so nobody would try out for the team because the captain was clearly an idiot and everything would go wrong and she'd have to drop out and move to Australia to live with koalas and then she'd be safe except koalas were vicious and- CALM. DOWN. FERRIER.

Okay. None of that was going to happen. She was here. She was on time. And she had everything.

Everything except a broom. She hadn't been able to get her own broom. Siiiigh.

Once she'd made it onto the platform, Derry stopped to catch her breath and opened Lando's cat basket - she needed kitty cuddles. Lando, however, seemed to have other ideas, as he jumped up and out of the basket, running off across the platform... apparently towards the nearest other cat...

"LANDOOOO!!" Derry called after the grey half-tabby, but he didn't seem to hear her, so she would have to chase him, apparently. She followed him closely and grabbed him before he made a pounce at the poor younger girl's cat.

"Sorry, he's kind of excitable..." she said to the girl as Lando started to play with her badge. No. That was not allowed, cat. Shiny new badges are not cat toys. Not for you. She shifted the cat in her arms so he wasn't attacking her captain badge anymore and looked back at the girl. "He didn't try and attack you or anything, right?" Probably not - he was just an oversized kitten - but it was good to check.

Minnie made her way to the north end of the platform. This summer had gone by so fast. Too fast. Unlike most summers it had been rather dramatic and the blonde was kinda happy to go back and start a new year. This would be her last year at Hogwarts and she had to admit that it was kinda scary.Hopefully it would be a good year.

PEOPLE PEOPLE!

Not only Forrest, but also LEX was here. Forrest had stepped a little closer, which showed Tobias that he was interested in chatting to him, but obviously didn't want to just abandon them. That was cool. Tobias would just close the distance between the two of them.

With a glance at his grandparents who gave him encouraging smiles, Toby stood up before scooting closer to the others on his handy dandy skateboard. It made him taller and everything, which he liked.

But he only had to close a gap of a couple of metres, and once he was within conversation distance of the two of them he stepped off the board, keeping on foot on it to make sure it didn't roll away.

Beaming proudly at the attention his adorable little kitten was getting, Tobias held the creature out slightly to show him off a little bit. "Yeah, he's mine. I got him a few days ago. I haven't got a name for him yet... names are hard."

He was grinning properly now. "I'm good. Super good. I'm excited, you know, to get back." So he could fly. And practice magic. ALL THAT GOOD STUFF.

Tobias smiled enthusiastically at Forrest. "How about you? Looking forward to us being second years?" Toby was. Seriously.

Then he looked at Lex. "Hi Lex!" Oh yeah, the food. "Well, my grandmother made me a big breakfast, 'cause she said she knew I wouldn't eat a lunch if she packed one for me." 'Cause of all the sweets she knew he'd 'smuggled' into his bag. "I hope there's a good feast though. My grandfather told me Hogwarts feasts have the best food, and I haven't been able to experience it yet."

SO unfair.

It was at that moment that Tobias regretted not having his full attention on the kitten, because he leapt up and BIT Toby's nose. Not too bad, but NEEDLE TEETH HELLO. Tobias pulled the kitten off his face and stared at him. The cat just stared innocently back at him, head tilted slightly to the side.

So he turned fully to Alexa with a confused look on his face. He'd never told her about his family life? It was weird. She ought to be one of the first people to know it.

"My dad works there at an oil company," he said in response to their Saudi Arabia flight. He remained thoughtful at her question, and his frown got deeper.

"Erm... I didn't know they're allowed to do that? I don't know where too. I bet it's a lot of paper-work though... with their being a muggle and stuff. I guess plane's easier." He shrugged. He had just never thought about it. And he didn't have the chance to think this time as well, seeing Tobias decided to join them and Forrest chose to speak to him rather than think about his family and be sad.

"He's... cool," Forrest said as he grinned at the kitty. He wanted to pet him, but it would look girly. "But you just called him 'Bludger'. It kinda suited." He shrugged. Tobias loved the game too, so why not?

He wondered how Tobias was so excited to be returning, but didn't ask it. Apparently, it was just him that missed his family. Oh well. Maybe he would get over it after some time...

"Yeah, I am excited too!" He grinned. His problem wasn't with the school, it was rather the seperation. "I'm thinkin' maybe this year will be better. The Headmistress had promised so." Maybe? Maybe? He was hopeful. If not, he would ask Bristol to bake him some cookies. Maybe she would be willing to share them with Tobias too.

...

He looked at the cat just in time to see him biting Tobias' nose. He couldn't decide whether he was allowed to laugh or whether he should offer help, but in the end, he was laughing.

"Maybe his name should be Biter."

She didn't know whether she was meant to tell him how complicated the situation sounded...or how boring. Anything overridden by muggle means was boring. It lacked that spark that added colour to your life but it was a touchy subject as she'd come to learn with him so she wasn't about to go saying THAT! Absolutely not. Making Forrest feel better was the objective. Not making him avoid her for the rest of the term.

"Oh. Well. That's fine too, planes and that flying thing they do. Mhm." And she gave a polite nod but thought this conversation was better off discarded.

Lex was about to change the topic when Kitty!Tobias came over WITH HIS KITTY! It didn't have a name yet. "Eh, you have the whole term to think one up. Just give it a name before spooky stuff start happening that way if he goes missing it'll be all up in dramatics with you running around the castle calling the most epic name anyone's heard in a while." It was important to think ahead for these things. DUH.

"I had a big breakfast. Told Daddy it'd be the last decent meal I'd have in a while and he made it special." This realization made her sigh deeply. She really wasn't ready to go back to starving just yet.

"But Forrest is Right. Headmistress Truebridge said this term will be better and though she stole a broach and nearly got us eaten by a man eating plant in my first year, I'd like to believe her." Lex even added a nod of conviction.

Oh and back to half yell!talking to Laura. She shrugged. "I'm good, excited to be going back but I know I'll change my mind by the end of the feast. How are you?"

Minnie stood at athe platform and kept watching the first years. All of them were so nervous and giggly,it was the cutest thing. Starting a new school was one of the scariest things ever so the blonde completely understood. Hopefully she could welcome some new Slytherins later on.

Just as she was about to look for her boyfriend, the Slytherin felt someone wrap their arms around her."Not at all", she whispered back snuggling into him, "why would i?" Of course she had missed him.Not being around Ryan had become so unatural that she missed him every second they were seperated.

Aaaah! All these students and their animals! It was so crowded that poor Adi kept moving in all directions, trying to avoid any possible crashes into rather excited person who were not paying attention while they called to out friends. It was then, as Adi shuffled to the right that he notice the boy from Scribbulus. He glared at the boy who was speaking to a girl and yearning to reach into his trunk, pull out his bottles of ink and dump it all over his rude head.

However, he was distracted from this fantasy in the form of a young girl, who looked to be a first or a second year. Adi grinned. "Hi! Whats-'' He shuffled backwards as an older boy hurried directly toward him. The boy was paying attention to his owl. Why didn't they watch where they were going? "What's up?'' he called back to the young girl. Oh when was the train going to arrive so he can have some peace?

Nashville's first year at Hogwarts wasn't really the greatest but he was better than being at Durmstrang or Beauxbatons but the seventeen year old like Beauxbatons a lot more than Durmstrang.

Hopefully this year would be the greatest that it really could be and of course he would have to study but he could do that any point and he would have to make pie and pie for Ryan and all of the other seventh years as well. Or maybe just the ones that he knows because he would make pie for the ungrateful people that are out there in the world and Hogwarts. Nash has this thing where you should befriend someone before you ask them to make you a damn pie because it is the polite thing to do in the world but not all people are polite.

Just thinking about pie made Nashville want to eat some pie, he would have to start baking little miniature take along pies. Or have the little candy trolly lady start selling pies so he could eat on the way there but no one makes pies like he does.

Lowly whistling, Wade walked on through the barrier passing his way through towards the North end of the Platform. Guess all that was left was to load his stuff on.. Later. Yeah, there was no rush. There were loads of people around, and in the crowd Wade was sure to find a good number of those he knew.

In fact, the sight of one of his mates also got him to put off the loading."Heya, Nash!" Wade waved a little before joining him. Nash aka the Pie man and Wade's pickle dealer. It was cool working with him when they Interned at QQS along with the Quidditch practices and other fun stuff last term. Yep, yep. "How's it going?"
