 Honeydukes is the greatest (and only) candy shop in Hogsmeade that never has a quiet day. Knowing that the place is famous for its sugary delights that are too scrumptious to resist, students and adults alike flock to this shop to satisfy their sweet tooth. If you were to peek through the window, you will witness shelves full of hundreds of candy jars and boxes as well as a large crowd of customers greedily snatching them before they all run out.
A million coloured boxes and wrappers capture your attention the moment you step inside the shop. The walls are adorned with green shelving, the counters hold jars and boxes of different candies, and there is even a station for trying out candy samples from chocolate frogs to jelly slugs and anything in between. Feel free to explore the entirety of the stop; just refrain from going down to (or coming out of...) the cellar where crates and boxes full of candy are stored.

Emmalyn skipped into Honeydukes in search of chocolate. It was the one thing she was unable to give up, even though she was getting a bit old to be hanging out in a candy shop. The glorious smells filled her lungs as she took in the vast selection. With a smile on her face, the 4th year Hufflepuff began to slowly roam the shop in search of the perfect treats to spend her money on.

Who said diamonds were a girl's best friend clearly had never been to Honeydukes before. As she headed down for the Hogsmeade weekend Chloe felt a bit jumpier, that mist had messed with her head a bit and she now looked over her shoulder afraid it would come back.
As she got safely into the building her hand was on a basket and she was headed straight for her favorites. Chocolate frogs, cauldron cakes, and fudge were on the top of her list today, but she wanted to make sure to grab Morgan's favorites too. She was going to send him a little package, she knew Aidan was probably keeping him awake at night and he wouldn't be very happy to know they were sleeping well at the castle. Soon though he would be here with her and Gunnar and not needing to worry about the baby and sleep.

Austin had looked forward to Hogsmede all year. He couldn't wait so when he got to Hogsmede, he headed straight to Hogsmede. When he got inside, he took his scarf off in the warm room and draped it over his shoulder. He could smell the fudge and other candies right away

All bundled up, Missa Renaldi was letting her eyes roam the shelves and walls of Honeydukes. Before leaving for the holidays, she wanted to get as many candies as she could for her younger siblings - a thing she knew they always looked forward to whenever she returned for Christmas. It was now a little tradition of theirs, especially the part where they tried a new candy together.
Filling up her basket with Drooble's Best Blowing Gum, Fizzing Whizbees, Ice Mice, and Sugar Quills - she moved to the rare oddities, hoping to find something new and interesting.

Mamie was so excited for the Hogsmeade weekend, and even more excited to be inside Honeydukes. She was literally a kid in a candy store, and couldn't be happier. Still being somewhat new to these fancy wizarding candies, she found herself drawn to the sample station. She sampled something peppermint that she quite liked, and a jelly bean in some weird flavor that she definitely did not like. Then she decided to sample one more candy, and chewed it r e a l l y slowly to savor it.
Plus, she knew she couldn't buy all the candy. She'd have to pick just a few kinds, and there were just so many! She wasn't sure how she'd ever decide. | |

But neither of them were here to tell her so and Headmaster Daddy was different than daddy so if he told her she had to put things back then he would have to for ALL other students and that would just be rubbish for the Hogsmeade economy. It was a failproof plan.
Only ... well ... Mavis had never aaaaaactually paid for anything herself and absolutely had overlooked that detail as her eyes greedily drank in the shelves and she took whatever she fancied from the shelves. All the while singing to herself. "Well, my name is Violet Beauregarde and I like gum! I chew so good it's made me the sensation I've become! For over half a year well I been blowing this Bazooka, It's fruity not nutty like that stupid girl Veruca! You'll find my competition is on traction or on crutches, And that is why my title is the Double Bubble Duchess!" Her words were rapid and percise, flawless in execution and with much pep to her step. Much less singing and more speed talking to a beat while she tugged and played with the strings on her knitted cap. Her next words, however, were much more the sort you would expect to hear in showtunes. "The Double Bubble Duchess, that's her sticky claim to fame! She's always on the bubble, So file it, Violet Beauregarde's the name!"

Just as the Gryffindor was about to dive into the second rap verse, Mavis found herself interrupted and her head performing a slow but exaggerated turn towards the source of the voice. Typically she would be in a tiny huff about being interrupted when she was really in the zone of a performance, but the fact that the other girl KNEW what she was singing from gave opportunity for all kinds of forgiveness and bright smiles.
Hello, girl who she somewhat recognized but did not yet have a name to speak of yet. YOU were a new FRIEND.
"It IS! It is from that musical!" she chirped while gleefully dropping the boxes of Bertie Bott's she had been mulling over into her basket. "Are you a fan? ARE you a thespian tooooooo?"

Mamie giggled a little at the other girl's exaggerated response to her question. She was surprised she supposed, about the girl singing from a musical. Most of the students from wizarding families seemed not to know too much about Muggle culture, and the Muggleborn kids like herself were all focused on learning about wizarding culture. Well, she was. She supposed she couldn't speak for all Muggleborns.
She grinned at the other girl's question. "Yep, I like musicals!" she said, not answering the second question because, well, she didn't know what a thespian was. "I think my studio used that song for a dance recital once!" | |

CLEARLY this girl was living under a rock because anyone who was anyone knew that Mavis Ainslee Trent was DESTINED for the stage and had musical notes instead of white blood cells. Probably the red ones too. That was okay that she didn't though...YET...because Mavis was also super helpful and all friendships had to start somewhere so she could talk loads about herself.
Probably should do that name thing soon. People who were best friends needed to know names. She really couldn't have another repeat of a month long WHO party inside her head like had happened with her Phantom, Noah.
"OHMYGOSH!" she squealed as she reached forward to clasp her hands around the other girl's. "You DANCE too?! I've been classically trained in a few forms since I was real REAL little. Mum and dad even met because of musical theater soooo...." She paused to flip her hair a bit. "I've been around the theater ever since conception." And since she was already holding the girls hands prisoner all enthusiastically...this did seem like the perfect time for introductions. "I'm Mavis. Mavis Trent and yeeeeees my daddy IS the headmaster."

Mamie squealed too, this girl's energy was contagious! And that was with only having had three teeny candy samples! "Yes, yes, I did ballet classes since I was TWO!" she said. It was all she could do not to jump up and down in excitement. Maybe they could start a dance troupe together, and do performances with the Frog Choir.
She gasped at the girl's introduction. "Your daddy is the headmaster?!" she repeated. It was hard to believe, the headmaster was always grumpy and mean, but Mavis was so nice! Almost like a Hufflepuff! "I'm Mamie, Turov," she said. "My papa is a writer!" Since they were sharing what their father's jobs were, clearly, this was important for her to say. | |

Frog Choir AND Drama Club, Mavis was in BOTH! "I have some training too!" Maybe not since she was two but still, she had training. It was hard work being a triple threat! "Oh Mamie! This is all so TERRIBLY exciting! We were destined to meet here today. A show stopping moment." No, for real. They should be singing and dancing right now. "You know Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Come come. Let's...create our own rendition of Pure Imagination!" It was super easy to just change up the words of a song to fit a situation. Her and Kale did it ALL the time.
"Here. I'll start us." Clears her throat a bit and straightens, opening up her diaphragm a bit like all true performers did before belting out the first two lines. "Come with meeeeeeeeeeee...and we'll beeeeeeeeeee..."

Yes, she was jumping up and down now. "We came here for candy and found friendship!" she said excitedly. She still wanted candy though. As Mavis started singing, Mamie stopped jumping, her eyes widening a little. She wanted them to sing...here...in a store? She gulped, then figured why not?
"In a wooorld of pure imaginatiooon...." she sang in an unfortunately different key than Mavis, raising one of her arms with a flourish. If she was going to humiliate herself in public with her new friend, she was going all in. Problem was...her singing was not as good as her ballet. "Take a loooook-" what what was next?
