Dervish and Banges
|
Time to....explore. Cassius had never been to Hogsmeade before....since he previously went to Beauxbatons. So this musty little shop was calling his name. It just looked so interesting. And LOOK-- On entering, the store was just as dusty on the inside! Cassius wondered if he should offer his house elf up to clean this place up--MERLIN. He was sneezing as soon as he came in. OOOOH the replicated goblets looked...so COOL. He wanted to buy one as a treat to himself--a present for being awesome! Awesome and doing well in school! His girlfriend was proud of him as she should be! And HE was proud of himself. Or a sneakoscope..that was cool, too. Hmm. The brunette merely walked around the shop....inspecting things, curiously. |

Several times now she had had to reassure people that she was not planning on traveling back to investigate what had happened to daddy. She lacked the magical ability to modify any of these timeturners to behave in that manner, not to mention incredibly illegal. Besides, daddy was feeling better and was even able to walk on his own now. There was no need to dwell on such sadness when there was so much hope to look forward to now. Turning the timeturner over once more, her delicate fingers tracing over the intricate engravings, Paige heard someone coughing and instantly reached into the pocket of her wool skirt for her sunflower handkerchief and skipped around the display. "Here," she said, offering it to the boy about her age without a second thought. "That sounded uncomfortable." |
SPOILER!!: Paige Cassius...was hacking up a lung and DYING clearly. NO professional quidditch for him--NO MARRYING ADDIE OR HAVING KIDS. HE WAS DYING. Lunged over, hands on his knees, he continued to cough and.... Well. He looked up, his coughing fit over with, at the.....vibrant handkerchief....a flower. Seemed to be a bloody theme today. Cassius shook his head. "I don't want to ruin it--it looks nice and stuff--" he said, clutching his chest and standing up straighter now. And...then he took a VERY good look at this girl...she was...cute, delicate curls framed her face, and her voice sounded familiar. He felt like he'd met her before. But...where in the world...? Sure, he went to SCHOOL with her--but Merlin, the amount of students he glossed over if he didn't find them worth his time--- OH! "YOU! You were at the Thornton family vacation house, right? Over summer?" Or was that...not her? Oh no. |
SPOILER!!: Cassius Paige held the handkerchief out with a little more urgency, although the gentle expression she wore on her face remained unchanged. "I insist," she said sweetly. "Handkerchiefs were not made to just look pretty, so you would really just be helping it fulfill its purpose." And whatever damage, if one could really call it damage since he was really just listening to his body and reacting accordingly, could be reverse by magic easily enough. If not by her own wand then one of her dormmates who was much more skilled. But if he did continue to resist, she would not force her handkerchief upon him. That would only make her look pushy and earn her some bad karma. Eyes widening and cheeks flushing, she nodded her head twice while still offering him the handkerchief. "I was. It is very kind of you to remember me," she smiled. She had been a bit reserved then, not wanting to compete with the stronger personality types that had come over. No, not compete. Paige was not about that lifestyle...it had been more she had wanted to observe people. Learn about and from them. The Hufflepuff preferred to be the wallflower the majority of the time. "It is a pleasure to meet you again, properly, Cassius." |
SPOILER!!: Sweet cinnamon roll Cassius took the handkerchief and just...blew his nose in it. Merlin. The girl REALLY wanted his snot on her possession, then. Fulfill its purpose...Cassius smirked a little. "Does it know it has a purpose? Surely, then, the handkerchief wouldn't be too upset about not fulfilling its purpose, then, eh?" he tapped the cloth with his wand and...evanesco'd her handkerchief clean for her. "There. Thank you for...that." Interesting girl, Paige was. Kind of him to remember her. Cassius merely laughed. "Aw, come on, it's not a kindness, it's a courtesy that all people should have for each other--right? How could I forget you? Addie's brother talked about you at night--he loved your hair--" Cassius motioned to the sides of his head, circling his fingers to represent her curls. "How could I forget you?" he smirked boyishly at her. "Nice to meet you too, Miss Paige--" he teased a little and bowed, still smirking at her. |
SPOILER!!: yum...cinnamon rolls...*drools* Paige shrugged her shoulders and slightly turned her head to the side with a dainty smile tugging on the corners of her lips. "Only the handkerchief knows and I unfortunately do not speak handkerchief," she laughed. "The good news is," she continued, leaning forward just a little to take a peek at the contents of the handkerchief before he magicked it away. "It does not appear as though you have a cold or any sort of viral infection." Reaching her hand out to accept the handkerchief back, Paige felt the temperature in her cheeks rise. It was almost as though if she were to reach up and brush her fingers against the skin there she would singe her fingers. "Nowell was very kind to me. I hope he is well," she smiled. Slightly oblivious to the way he was smiling at her - and even if she had noticed she would not really know what to make of it anyway - the Hufflepuff chewed on the inside of her cheek and cocked her head to the other side like an owlet. "I ought to write him soon," she said, mostly to herself. Blinking to bring herself back to present thoughts, she giggled once more and offered him a curtsy in return. "Looking for anything in particular today?" She had entirely forgotten she was still holding one of the replica timeturners in her one hand. |
SPOILER!!: ugh now I want some Cassius had to chuckle at that. He could see why Addie's brother would take a liking to this gentle soul. Any gentle soul reminded Cassius of his mother, and so he really did like Paige. It was too bad he didn't see her around much...he should probably work on changing that. Though...Thornton might throw a little FIT about it. Hmph. Oh. He snorted. "Are you a healer, now?" he asked. "Well I'm glad. I think it's all the bloody dust in here, actually." he squinted around and nodded. Yep. Definitely the dust. Stupid, stupid dust. "Yeah, he likes getting letters. I've written to him a few times since Addie and I started dating." He didn't know if Paige knew...but it was a few months now, yeah? So surely...he knew Maddie knew...because he was in Maddie's house and all. And Thornton, obviously. Pft. Anyways, back to the here and now...and the THINGS, apparently. "I'm not LOOKING for anything...but I thought I'd find some cool stuff in here--and I was right." He held up the fake goblet of fire drinking cup. "I kinda' want this. So I feel like the champion I am every morning." That was mostly a joke. Mostly. |
SPOILER!!: closest ones are 40 minutes away ._____. Involuntarily blushing, Paige reached up to tug on some of her stray curls. "I never considered a profession in that before," she replied while pursing her lips. "But it does sound rather appealing now that you mention it." Paige adored helping others and making others feel better, but she was doubting her abilities to do so recently. Maybe she wouldn't make such a good healer after all... "Oh, do you have dust allergies?" she inquired, still playing with some of her curls. "If I was any good with potions I would offer to brew you something, but I am more likely to poison you or turn your skin green or purple." Another reason she should not pursue healing, clearly. "That's kind of you," she smiled. Although she would not have the reason of dating his sister to write. "I'm not dating anyone." Since it seemed like this was the moment where they shared that sort of thing. "Is that a replica of Helga Hufflepuff's goblet?" She couldn't quite make out the design on it, but that would come in handy in the future. |
Griffin was avoiding the crowd, not really avoiding, but maybe yes avoiding. He liked being social or at least he use to, but lately it was just getting complicated. His brain was always going everywhere else then just socializing. He was tired of feeling weird and out of place around people so instead of having to deal with a possible run in with Geth and Amelia Griffin decided to head to the shops and do some Christmas shopping. Ducking into Dervish and Banges he noticed it was quieter in here. Good Choice Grif This he could handle, he could hang here all day and not have to worry about anyone bugging him. The shopkeeper wouldn't mind if he was actually buying things at the end, which he would. For now though he was taking his time looking around. Oh was that cauldron kits? Hmm maybe he could get himself a few things too. |

He hadn't been in the store too long when he spotted someone he knew. "Griffin, hi!" Henry gave the boy a grin as he approached. "What are you getting in here, anything cool?" Maybe he should start thinking about Christmas presents too while he was here. But was there anything good for that type of gift here? |
Quote:
"What you doing in here?" Dumb question Griffin, shopping of course! "I mean, you looking for Christmas too or just yourself?" Trying to save himself he thought he was doing a horrible job, so he let his eyes go back to the shelves. "I have a little sister that I think I might try to find something here for. " Did they even make things for little girls in here? |
